Hi everyone! Like a good pre-planner I was up bright and early on my 180 pre-Disney stay to nab my ADR's ( which due to website errors etc was a story in itself! )

So, I had to call to get my dining ADR's..and was so happy to get the dates, times, and venues I wanted. I had to give a credit card number for 3 of the ressies for the $10.00 per person cancellation fee. No biggie, I gave the card I am using for the trip ( My mom's card, she is paying for the kit and kaboodle ).

One week later I find out the card was cancelled due to Disney pinging it 3 times for $1.00. I didn't know they were going to ping the card, my mom had no idea what the ping was for ( the CC people said it was from a third party and it was initials i.e. something like WDWDO and WDWDCP and WDWDMMF. Looking back I can tell that it was for Ohana, Crystal Palace and Mama Melrose Fantasmic.) The pings I know drop off but I am sure the credit card company declined them days later.

Okay, we can deal with the cancelled card...she was overnighted a new one....but horror of horror I was scared that my ADR's would be cancelled. So of course I called Disney Dining. I explained to the CM what happened and wanted to give a new card number. He refused to take it! He said my ADR"s were safe. HUH???HOW???? He said " Ma'am, I am taking dining reservations for July and guests are using cards that expire before their trip for the cancellation fee. THINK about that, really think about that. It is not an issue, if the reservation went through when you booked with the card, you have reservations, what happens later is not a problem."

Okay, I thought about that and it seems to me I know what he was getting at...but I am still scared my ADR's are going to get cancelled. I check them constantly to make sure they have not poofed away...and I am thinking about calling Disney again to try to give another card.

What does everyone think???? Any insight out there? I really want these ADR's ..and am so worried something will happen.

Let me add that I really want to give a new card number but if I can't get a CM to take it what to do??

I do not want to cancel and re-book as I have the exact ressies our group of 9 decided on ( which was a miracle that we had a meeting of the minds! )

They *ping* it once for $1 (which I think they then remove) to make sure it's a valid card. Gas stations where you pay at the pump do this too. IMO your reservations are safe. As the CM said- people are making ADRs on CC's that expire before their trips-- it can happen I have one that expires in March and my trip is May- I will get sent a new one with a new exp date closer to March, but for now I only have the one that expires in March and I made ADRs on it. I am not worried.... I am not calling back when I get the new card, this happens all the time.

They ping it multiple times. I saw it each time they pinged it. 6 times on one day, 3 on another. Each was after I made the adrs for different trips. $1.00 each.
