Hi everyone

We are getting married in February next year. As all of our guests will be spending an awful lot of money coming from England to be at our wedding, we really want to make it a holiday to remember for them all. Many of the children have never even been on a plane before and will probably never get the chance to come to Disney World again!!

My partner and I are compiling a list of things not to miss. So my question to you all is can you help me with some ideas of what we can do (big or small - it will all help us, also restaurant recommendations would be good). . .

So far we have on our list:
*Character breakfast/dinner - Recommendations would be helpful
*Cirque de Soleil - We are hoping to book tickets for both of our parents as a thank you gift
*Discovery Cove

Many thanks in advance for your help

Hi there!! I guess being a huge Disney fan. I would want to say dont miss all of the 4 parks. I am not sure if you guys like water parks or what the weather will be but i'd have to say if you like water slides go to Blizzard Beach. other wise if you want to chill go to Typhoon. I think fantasmic is the best show ever!! You get to see all the charaters all at once. Down Town Disney is a nice thing just to go and see. I think for dinners if you are staying on grounds I think T-Rex is pretty cool. other wise for any of the charater meals make sure you call early to get in! But i guess what are you looking at doing i can help you out more then

I think that if you have a fun-loving group with kids, Chef Mickey's at the contemporary hotel is a great character meal. They come around to each table- and you get lots of great pictures.

I would give your guests some info to let them personalize their trip, so for example
- People who like spas- Tell them about Saratoga Springs, or Grand Floridian
- People who like arcade games- Tell them about Disney Quest
-People who like musical theater- Hoop de doo Revue

(personally I love all of those things!):rotfl:

Not sure when your getting married but Daytona is February 14th next year and it is speed week all week leading up to it.

Also you can go to Cape Canaveral, Leu Gardens, the Everglades, Universal Studios, Sea World, high end outlet shopping

If you've got golfers in your group, let them know that Disney has world class golf courses!

Thank you for all your ideas. They're great - Rob is really excited about Daytona (thanks ffmf)!!

Keep the ideas coming . . .

What are the ages?

How many days at Disney? Staying onsite?

Here are the top things I dont ever want to miss on any of my trips.
Animal Kingdom
Lion king show
Kilom... Safari Ride
Kali Rapids ride
Lion king show (watch again on same trip)
PhotoPass Pics (buy CD to get pictures made after trip)
Flame Tree BBQ

Disney Studios

Eat at Prime Time Cafe
Tower of Terrior
Aerosmith rollar coaster
Fantasmic ( I could watch this show 2 to 3 times each trip)

I would wnat to do all the shows, rides, tours here on my first trip.

Epcot

Eat at

Le Cellar
The landing for quick service

Rides
Fast track
Soaren (at least twice per visit)
Mission to mars
Nemo show/aqarium
The land ride (goes threw unique greenhouse)
Honey I shrunk the kids.

Walk around the world

Magic Kingdom

Eat a Turkey leg
Dinner in the castle
Breakfast, lunch or dinner at Crystal palace

Rides
Everything I have time for

But never miss

Splash mountain
Its a small world
space mountain
railroad

If they have time, do as many rides/shows as you can but do not rush to do them all.
Pirates

Teenagers might like a trip to Universal

My favorites are the Spectromagic Parade, Wishes, Illuminations and Fantasmic.

My favorite restaurant is Earl of Sandwich at DTD - its quick service and the line moves really fast. I also really like the Brown Derby at MGM.

Don't worry - if its everyones first visit they are going to feel an extreme amount of pressure to try to do EVERYTHING.

I honestly would just have everyone stay at disney the whole time. I don't think universal and daytona are really worth it when you only have a limited amount of time during a once in a lifetime trip.

I would plan to tell everyone to get park tickets for every day that they are there other than your wedding day and maybe one other day so they can shop and lounge by the pool.

Yay another Feb couple!!! We are 2/8/10, when is your big day?

Oh and for a good character meal you can't beat Chef Mickey's!

Hi tiggersam00. We get married on the 17th, but we arrive on the 8th. How exciting!! We haven't seen any other February weddings yet.

I think we are definately going to try Chef Mickey's as our little boy will be 3 and he will love it:woohoo:!!

Hi Tigger1. Yeah we are staying at All Star Sports, but the rest of our guests will be staying off site. The children will be 1,2,3,5,8 and 14. The oldest guest will be 77, so abit of a mix:rotfl2:!!

Thanks for all your ideas. Does anybody have any ideas for the older members of the group (over 60)?? We're worried that 14 days with Mickey will finish them off:rotfl2:!!
