Things I Would Love to see Disney add to the Fort

We camped in the fort back in the early 80's and the trading posts had a pretty good grocery and food section. As time passed, they had less and less because campers were not buying. Most came with thier own food.

The CS sound great......but I think its a matter of enough sales!

I can agree with both of these it's hard to somtimes justify spending that much money for CS when you have an RV full of food. It's not like the hotel guests who have no choice.
Even as small as our MH is we usually bring in enough food for the four of us after a quick stop at the Clermont Walmart. The only things we buy from the Meadows are milk and bread.

Very good suggestions that you all have! A counter service or some type of deli would be a welcome addition IMO. It would be awesome if we could lobby for our own dole whip/citrus swirl machine. That way, when the craving hits no one has to trek off to the MK or the Polynesian.

Just a plea to the powers that be.

I'll keep on dreamin'.

2. A bigger tavern maybe in the mystry building next to the arcade by trails end
Here is what’s in the mystery building

3. I love the idea of an ice cream truck or maybe more like a ranger at a golf course selling ice cream around the loops
The Fort has an ice cream wagon that loops in the spring and summer time

I figured as much withe mystery building. It does look good from the outside though. I never seen the horse drawn ice cream cart. One thing to mark off the list. Thanks

So have any of you summer regulars ever see this horse/ice cream around ??

I would like to see straight forward reservations, and not have to play games expanding dates & then calling to cancel the dates you don't need.

I would like to see a food court that opens at 6am & closes no sooner than midnight.

I would like to see the wilderness-like foliage grow back.

I would like to see some rules enforced.

I would like to see the train operating once more.

We saw and got ice cream from it in the summer 09. I know it been running sent the 80’s
You have to be outside all you hear is horse foot steps and a bell

Sonds like a good investigative job for TCD! I have never seen this before. I hope it's not photshopped...lol

Been there done that.

We have seen the ice cream wagon a few times.

But it has been years since we last saw it.

And, it was used at times other than Summer, too.

The last time it came around, the horse pulling the wagon was named Molly (same as Mrs. TCD- and she did not approve).

I have no idea why they don't have this cart running every night. I'm sure it would more than pay for itself.

:confused3

I agree with all of you. Here are a few more:

1. A soda dispenser like the one at trails end put at the medows swimming pool and the medows traiding post to avoid waiting in line

2. A bigger tavern maybe in the mystry building next to the arcade by trails end, or just keep Croketts tavern open a little later instead of closing at 10pm

3. I love the idea of an ice cream truck or maybe more like a ranger at a golf course selling ice cream around the loops4. Card access for Fort guest only at the pools

5. Any other type of food option ( we love roaring fork at the lodge)

OMG...Be careful what you wish for in regards to the ice cream truck looping through the campground :scared1: We stayed at a campground right on the beach. It was beautiful. Very relaxing when you were on the beach. However, when we were back on our site... not so much. :headache: The ICE CREAM TRUCK...continuously..and I mean continuously played that annoying Mr. Softee tune ALL DAY...and then ALL NIGHT till
11 pm. :sad2: It was enough to drive you insane. Obviously these vendors had an arrangement with the county, as it was a county campground.
There really wasn't a need for it either, since there was a fast food option available to campers that also served ice cream.
I wouldn't have any objections to an ice cream truck/wagon...as long as it didn't play annoying music all day long.

Ooops..didn't see this before I posted earlier...
Now, this I could live with...as opposed to a truck with some annoying song repeating itself throughout the day and into the night.
