I'm looking for recommendations of things to do in and around Vero Beach. Can be a far as 2 hours away. I'll be there in late January - no kids with us. Thanks

Depends on what you like to do.... It's not a great beach - narrow and can be rough surf.

We have enjoyed plays at The Riverside Theatre in VB. The McKee Botanical Gardens in VB is nice. We enjoy hiking or biking at the Pelican State Park at the north end of the island or the trail along the river. Just north is Cape Canaveral - you can check website for launches.

There are several places to rent kayaks or go on kayak or other tours - check Viator.

A few nice restaurants but pricey.

Kennedy Space Center is incredible.
Do at least one bus tour that includes the Saturn V building.
Folks rave about the Atlantis building, which is good, but does not hold a candle to the Saturn V.

The Atlantis building can be accessed without a bus tour, whereas the Saturn V cannot.
Different tours do different things, all of which are fantastic. Most include the Saturn V display.

You can thank me later… :teeth:

Also the two treasure museums, Mel Fisher’s, and Mclarty.

Both have some really cool artifacts from the 1715 Plate Fleet.
Watch the movie at Mel’s and you’ll get quite an education. It’s approx a 30 min continuous loop.
Well worth it.
