Things boys come up with

My boys who are 9 and 10 are usually really good and don't do "gross" boy stuff. Well, yesterday while my parents were visiting for the weekend, my mom caught them SPITTING on their ceilings in their rooms. My mom came down to tell me that in DS9 room there was a big hunk of phlegm on the ceiling. UUHHGGG!!!! I wasn't sure whether to laugh or beat them. My mom complains about how awful my nephews are and that my boys are well behaved. Boy is she wrong!!!!!

I called my boys down to the kitchen and asked them what was going on. DS10 split on DS9 ceiling first and then DS9 had to go do it in DS10 room. Both ceilings had wet marks. What I don't get is, how the spit didn't come back down on them???? Then DS9 decides he is going to use my Clorox with bleach spray to clean it up. Good thing I stop him before he started.

Dh was gone while this happened and I told the boys as part of their punishment they were going to tell dad what they did. I thought DH was going to burst while they told him. He said to me, "That's all they did. I thought it was going to be something bad." Bad no, but GROSS and my mom had to find it.

There's something about boys in ceilings. They love to see how high they can throw something (and in your sons' case, that something would be spit).

My brothers nearly set our house on fire when they were about your boys' age. They were "playing basketball" with their bunched up socks. Their "hoop and net" was a glass plate light fixture suspended from the ceiling.

The "balls" that made the goal stayed up in the glass plate, and the lightbulbs in the fixture heated them enough to get them smoldering. Good thing someone in the house smelled something burning, and my dad got them down before the whole house went up in flames.
