~~ They're leaving the nest, sew it's time for a trip - or two - or three...~~ D~'s bag ~9/22 ~~

You will have a washer/dryer in the villa. Don't stress about the clothes. You will be able to wash anything that you have to wear more than you had planned to wear. I always bring a few detergent pods just in case. I have washed all my clothes before packing to go home. It is nice to have them smell like Florida. Of course I only do that when staying in a villa. :) I figure that I am with strangers and no one is going to know if I wear the same shirt or jacket more than once. One time the weather turned cold and I ended up wearing the same sweater every day since it was the only one I brought on the trip.

You have my permission to mail the baby quilt in December.

This is probably the only thing that gives me relief. LOL And on top of that - I am certain I won't wear half of what I am bringing... ::yes:: But a girl needs options right? LOL

Oooh - good idea... I don't have any detergent pods, but I do have a bazillion of the sink sized tide packages - which are packed.

Hahaha... I wish I could... It's so expensive to mail over there. I don't think I've mailed a package for less than $50 - which is almost half of our Christmas budget for them... I am going to try REALLY hard to get this quilt done before Monday. :D

Pfft.... Compared to you - maybe? :scratchin

Hope MM is continuing to improve. Ok, can I say I am glad I am not you this week(end)...but wish I were you next week! LOL!

Hang in there!

Hahahaha - thanks! MM is doing much, much better!

Yeah, I always find that its good to have some "just in case" clothes when I go to Disney. Back in March/April when I was there with my friends. Our second night there we were in MK - it was FREEZING! We had all gone back to the room to out on jeans and sweatshirts! It was crazy but I was happy I told everyone to bring something with them just in case. You just never know with the weather.

I am so happy MM is ok! That made me smile to hear that. And that's good the vet bill didn't shock you too much...I know how that can be sometimes lol. Hoping he continues to get better every day

Oh gosh. That puts a lot more work on your plate this week.

I love the hair! It looks great!

It will be ok. Just take a deep breath and take one thing at a time. And just think - after you get done with all of your errands/projects, you will finally be in Disney!

Yup - I won't have any jeans with (but I will have leggings), and a couple of fleece jackets, but the way things are looking now - it's not looking like i will need them. However, all is not lost - I am sure, whatever outfits I don't use now, will get used in January. ::yes::

Yes, MM is doing SO much better! It's good to see him back to his chipper self.

Hehehe.... And yesterday didn't go exactly as planned - so I am further behind than I would like to be. Wondering if the family would mind if I start sewing at 5am? Hehehe, my sewing room is next to all of their bedrooms. :scratchin

Soooo excited to finally be in Disney - it's been too long!

I'm glad to hear the vet went ok. Don't you have vet insurance to cover this kind of things?

WOW you are going to have a busy weekend. With all that need to be done in your sewing room. Crossing my fingers that you get a lot done.

Your hear looks nice

How great that Josh found the pants he needed and that you got the fabric you need for the quilt.

I got some great news today about my new car :woohoo:I'm so happy about it all today.
Earlier this week I heard that the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV) office further south in Norway said I could upgrade from a Volkswagen Caravelle 150 horse power car to Volkswagen Caravelle 150 horse power with 4WD if I paid the cost. NAV could not choose this car themselves. The NAV office further south was surprised that the office in Tromsø didn't know this and they said they would call NAV in Tromsø and tell them the rules. As I told you earlier this week I tried to contact the person that has my case, but she was out of office until today. So today I tried to call again. Of course she wasn't in when I tried to call. So I asked if the person I talked to could give her a message to call me back. To my surprise she called back just a few minutes later. I told her what I had heard about the 4WD car I want. She then told me that she had heard the same thing this morning. So that means that NAV in the south must have managed to called Tromsø already. She then said that if I want to pay for the 4WD drive myself I can get the 4WD on the car they first said no to. I told her yes I want that car so please move forward with the process. So now I just have to wait on a letter from NAV confirming the things we have decided. I can now go to the car shop and find out what color I want on my car, add any extra accessories I would like to add and of course pay for. I'm so happy that I didn't take their no for a no at first and instead investigated the whole thing myself. I'm not expecting the car to stand in my driveway until summer 2016. Because now they first have to order the car, then get it from Germany to Tromsø, then mount the elevator I need to get my wheelchairs in the car. When all that is done the car will be delivered to me.

I still haven't heard anything about the wheel for my wheelchair that I'm waiting for. It's another department and a different person at NAV who has that case. I will have to call her next week I think to get her to speed up the process.

Thanks Lillian - for everything!

This is the BEST news I've heard all week!!! How wonderful and what a relief for you!!! I sure hope you are able to get your car sooner rather than later - but just to know you are able to get the one you want and need - that is awesome! :woohoo: I am so happy for you, my friend! :lovestruc

Now - hopefully your wheel mystery is solved soon too!

Sounds like you'll be working hard this weekend. I hope you get everything you need done. I'm glad to hear the vet went well regardless of the cost. Hopefully he feels better each day.

Oh yah... I will be working every chance I get - even though, I really want to be lazy. LOL

Yes - MM is doing so much better, back to his chipper self. :thumbsup2

Your hair looks great!

Glad it was just a bladder infections. Hopefully MM will be on the mend soon.

Great news!

Thanks! Yes, MM is doing so much better! I am so relieved - as is the rest of the family!

Getting caught up and I confess I haven't gone back far enough to read everything. Glad to hear about MM. My first thought was Lyme, but I'm glad the vet ruled that out. Your weekend sounds like my last few weeks. I have been working my backside off - work-work, not fun stuff. I even had to attend a meeting on my day off (Tuesday - election day). Luckily, I have Wednesday off too, (Veteran's Day) with nothing planned. C and I are taking two classes through adult ed - ballroom dancing and digital photography. Both are fun, but with C's work schedule, he's missed several classes already.

I'm really getting excited about our trip in a few weeks too!

No worries Tess - thanks for stopping by, it's always wonderful to see you. I am bummed that I won't get to see you on this trip - but it sounds like January works?

Bummer that work has been so busy - but it sounds like you and Mr. C are having fun otherwise! Which is awesome!

Eeep!!!! You are going to have so much fun!

So glad to hear that MM had a bladder infection and nothing worse was found.

My family is headed out to Disney World first thing in the morning. We are super excited. Hopefully i will run into you once youre there and just be able to say hi but its more likely id just eyeball you and youll think im a weirdo. However we are at POP Century and i know Suzi didnt pick that one LOL. So itll depend on the parks.

I hope you have an awesome trip regardless. I know you will miss your family but at least you will be with your DIS family!

Thank you! Yes, me too - I am so relieved! He is doing so much better now!

Yay!!! Have a safe trip! And PLEASE - if you see me, do say hello!!! I love meeting my Dis friends in person! Don't be shy!

Thanks!!! I hope you have a wonderful trip, as well!!! Safe travels today!

*********************************************************************************************

OK all - yesterday was a total disaster - as far as making a dent in my to-do list....

I did lift my weights - so there's that. ::yes::

Then I went to work... Taking breaks to swap out the load of fabric for Lara's quilt. Once it was finished, I laid it out on my dining room table and the one piece of fabric was just too short (and the color was a bit off) - there is no way I could use it for the quilt, unless I wanted to make the quilt really small - which I don't. Sigh. So, I needed to go back to JoAnns. Grrr - I HATE that store, with a passion. But that's another story. It's 45 min there, 45 min back and a guaranteed hour in the store, because they can't seem to figure out how to make their cutting table effiecient. :( Time I didn't have to waste, but I didn't have a choice.

See... And V picked out the giraffe fabric.... :lovestruc

1446827529569.jpg

I was talking to BFF on the phone while I was working on my custom order, and I realized I had to leave asap, if I was to make it to town on time to get the girls from school... So, I had to set everything aside and leave.

As predicted... JoAnns took over 2 hours to complete... But I did make it to pick the girls up on time - so that's good.

I came home - unloaded and put away a few groceries I was able to grab while I was out... Then put the load of fabric in to wash/dry as soon as possible.

We had decided earlier in the week that last night was going to be family night... So, I grabbed pizzas while I was in town and we also watched Inside out. Good movie - not the best, by far - but good enough. :thumbsup2

Needless to say - I never did get back up to my sewing room yesterday.

Today... As soon as the hour is decent enough - I will be sewing. I plan to finish this week's custom order this morning... Then I hope to get a good start on Lara's quilt - since now I have everything I need. ::yes::

We have plans to go out shopping at some point today for BMTL for Christmas - so we can get those gifts sent home with Myrthe's parents... So, that will take a huge chunk out of my sewing today... Oh well - it needs to be done.

I am down to 4 days left before I leave - and I just hope I am able to get everything done in time. :scratchin The quilt and the custom order are taking priority right now - everything else will have to wait. Sadly.

OK - I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!! Prayers and good thoughts go out to all of you! :grouphug:

D~

I am exhausted just reading those last two updates! Hang in there. I'm sure you'll be fine and have everything ready. I hate when I have to run to the store like that for an emergency and it takes so long. When we lived in NY everything was so close. Now in FL it is at least 20-30 min to get somewhere. In any event, the weather down here has been gorgeous so hopefully you will have great weather and I know you'll have a great time, it is Disney after all I hope MM continues to improve.

Happy to hear you will be able to eat in Dinsey!

MM update? Hope he is doing well poor furbaby!

Good luck getting everything done 4 days! 4 days! In a good way Disney in 4 days

I love the giraffe fabric. :lovestruc

You spend too much time driving. :( I hope everyone waits on you on Sunday so that you can finish the quilt.

Leggings work too! They keep you fairly warm and they are always comfortable!:thumbsup2

Thank goodness! That makes me so happy to hear!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

So cute! Perfect for a baby quilt.

We had decided earlier in the week that last night was going to be family night... So, I grabbed pizzas while I was in town and we also watched Inside out. Good movie - not the best, by far - but good enough. :thumbsup2
Family nights are always fun! I agree Inside out was a great movie - but I have plenty of other Pixar/Disney Movies that I liked more. I do have spot in my heart form Bing Bong though. I love him:lovestruc

Good Luck with everything else!

4 days! Yay!

I am so glad MM is okay...I was so nervous for him. Glad he didn't get a bite while out in the woods or anything like that!

Hahaha... I think it sounds worse than it is? Once I sat down yesterday morning and actually *concentrated* on what I was really supposed to be doing, I was able to get a lot done. That's half my issue when my trips get this close... I'll be sitting there sewing and "eek... I have to go pack this right now before I forget...." - so my distraction level is SUPER HIGH! LOL

Yes - it does get difficult when I just need something quickly... but I do love where we live and how close I am to all of my neighbors. There's something great to be said about small town life, for sure. :thumbsup2

I heard it's supposed to be cooler there this weekend (as in now) and then get hot again this week.... I am keeping my packing the same, but I sure wish I could figure out where I put my red shorts and my white shorts... :scratchin I know I put them somewhere "safe" and now I can't find them. Sigh. I hate it when that happens. LOL

Thank you - MM is back to his normal self... he is feeling much better and even playing with/tormenting SC - which is a good sign. ::yes::

Happy to hear you will be able to eat in Dinsey!

MM update? Hope he is doing well poor furbaby!

Good luck getting everything done 4 days! 4 days! In a good way Disney in 4 days

Hehehe.... Yes - I am very happy to be able to eat in WDW... Now I just hope I have enough? I've budgeted approx $50 per day - but with F*W and snacking - I am just worried it won't be enough. I"ll have a small stash of cash with me, but I am really hoping to have $$ leftover for Allison's trip too.

Sorry - I didn't update on MM yesterday... I did in a lot of my comments to others, but not in the bottom... Sorry about that. He is doing much, much better.... Pretty much back to normal - teasing and tormenting his brother again. :thumbsup2 He's such a good boy! LOL We are just relieved it was nothing serious.

Thanks - I made good progress yesterday - I am very happy with myself. My distraction level is super high right now, and if I could just stay in my sewing room for a few hours (like i did yesterday morning) - it helps a lot. LOL

I love the giraffe fabric. :

You spend too much time driving. :( I hope everyone waits on you on Sunday so that you can finish the quilt.

Thanks!!! It's turning out really cute. With Thomas' quilt, I did cotton as the main print and flannel on the back for the chenille... For Lara's quilt - I did flannel as the main print and flannel on the back for the chenille... And I do like Lara's a little better because it's really soft and warm on both sides - where Tomas' is cotton - so it's cold until you warm it up. However - I wish I would have done purple and lavender on the back for the chenille, rather than purple and lime green... I should have pictures to show tomorrow - I am almost done with it. :thumbsup2

Hahaha - I know!!! I wish it didn't have to spend so much time driving! Wouldn't that be nice? LOL I don't think that will happen... but I got a lot done on it yesterday - and V even helped me a lot too... I am certain I will finish it today. I can't decide if I am doing to do a "raggy edge" or if I am going to "bind" the edge? I guess I'll see what I feel like doing later today. :scratchin

Leggings work too! They keep you fairly warm and they are always comfortable!

Thank goodness! That makes me so happy to hear!

I guess you could make an attempt if necessary!

So cute! Perfect for a baby quilt.

Family nights are always fun! I agree Inside out was a great movie - but I have plenty of other Pixar/Disney Movies that I liked more. I do have spot in my heart form Bing Bong though. I love him:

Good Luck with everything else!

I thought so - I have one pair of regular leggings packed and 2 pairs of cropped leggings - so I think I should be OK... they are so light and small, it doesn't make any sense not to pack them.

I agree - I did love Bing Bong... So sad that he didn't make it to the end of the movie.

Thanks - I made great progress yesterday and I do see a light at the end of the tunnel. ::yes::

4 days! Yay!

I am so glad MM is okay...I was so nervous for him. Glad he didn't get a bite while out in the woods or anything like that!

WhooT!!!!! I am soooo excited! 3 days now! :woohoo:

Thanks - I know, we were nervous too, but I am so thankful it was an easy fix and he is back to normal... Tormenting his little brother and all. ::yes:: Thankfully - we did vaccinate both dogs for lymes... I know it's not a guarantee, but I *thought* we had and I was right. For as often as we have them out in the woods, at the lake and out hunting - it's just a good thing for us to do as animal owners. :thumbsup2 :lovestruc

****************************************************************************************************

party: 3 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! party:

I can hardly believe it... We were near the airport yesterday and I was all giddy with excitement! :woohoo:

OK - so yesterday morning, I started sewing at 7am, I couldn't wait any longer... I'd been up for hours and I had so much I needed to get done! I told myself that I would work until 10:30, and get as much done as possible.

I was able to finish this week's bag... But I still have the hand appliqued zipper pull to do. But the bag is the hardest and most time consuming - so it's a big weight off of my shoulders to have it done. ::yes::

Then I started on Lara's quilt.... I was able to get the entire thing quilted yesterday morning... Which was rough... My sewing room is not big enough for bigger projects like this - and not that this is a "big project" but it's bigger than what I normally work on. So, wrestling with it was hard, and my right wrist was killing me. I was almost in tears there for a while... but I took a break and had some breakfast, then I went back to it and it went much better after that. I am glad I took a break and walked away... it was good for my wrist and good for my outlook on life in that moment. LOL It took me until exactly 10:30 to finish quilting it, but it was such a relief to have it done. :woohoo:

12219471_10208479010001559_3344626806367440724_n.jpg

MM update I just wanted to make sure I put something down here, so everyone sees it. MM is doing so much better, he is back to his normal self - tormenting SC and being his normal goofy self. ::yes:: Thanks so much for all of your prayers and Pixie Dust! :lovestruc

After I finished in my sewing room for the day, the girls and I got ready and all 4 of us (Josh too) went to the mall... We were on a mission to find Christmas gifts for BMTL. Sadly we found nothing at the mall at all - we were all so disappointed... So we headed to the new Outlet Mall - where we had much better luck. Sadly - we found NOTHING in my favorite kids store - Gymboreee - Lara is still so tiny and the had nothing in 0-3mo sizes at all... But we did end up finding way too much stuff at OshKosh and Carters... We even found a flannel shirt for Thomas to match Uncle Josh. ::yes::

We also hit Toys R Us, for a few odds n' ends fun items...

We spent almost double our budget for them, but it's so hard to shop for them, because we rarely get to see them... On top of that - I love spoiling the kids, because - well - they are our only real nephew and neice - and we don't get to see them often enough. Besides - they are kids, and spoiling them is fun! LOL

We had a really great family day together - we had a lot of fun and spent a lot of time goofing off. We have not had a day with just the 4 of us in way too long - other than the week of 4th of July at the lake.... So, this was just really a great thing, especially right before I leave for a trip. Warm fuzzies all around. :lovestruc

After we got home, we had a quick dinner... Then the girls and I crawled into my bed for a Harry Potter movie (#3) - where I fell asleep about an hour into it, and don't remember the girls leaving or Josh coming to bed at all. :scratchin

Sooooo.... Today....

I am drinking my coffee/water combo.... Trying to hydrate for my "long run" this morning. Sadly, my long run will probably be a short run, because I have not run at all this week. The weather - on top of just having too much on my plate to get done, did not allow me to run... I am really disappointed in myself for this, and I am sure I will pay for it today.

After my run - I plan to get up to my sewing room for maybe an hour or two... I will work on the quilt, hopefully finishing it - I don't have much to do, then I will do the zipper pull for last week's order. I am really hoping to finish it today, as well. I don't want to be up there for long though... So, if I don't finish the zipper pull - I have a few hours tomorrow morning I can work on it.

Then I will spend the rest of the day with the family. I don't know what we will be doing, likely just hanging out and watching TV?

Counting down to our trip....

So, tomorrow morning - I'll probably be working on that zipper pull - I doubt I will finish it today.

Then I am meeting Myrthe's mom for lunch - Josh may join us?

I will prob pick the girls up from school and come home to make dinner.

My day should go quickly.

Tuesday.... I will have a nail appointment for a mani/pedi...

I will pick the girls up from school...

Take them to the Dr. appt...

Come home, make dinner - if Josh hasn't done it by then.

Then go straight to bed for my 2:30 am wake up call on Wednesday. :woohoo:

So, these last few days should fly by very quickly!

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday! Prayers and good thoughts go out to all of you! :grouphug:

D~

I'll be sitting there sewing and "eek... I have to go pack this right now before I forget...." - so my distraction level is SUPER HIGH! LOL
That is exactly my problem - which is why I can't work at home. I get distracted too easily.

I'm glad that you are almost done with Lara's quilt. It also sounds as if you are ready to go to Disney - no last minute craziness for you. ;)

You must report back when you discover what resort you are staying at. I think all of us want to hear your reaction. Just being in a villa is wonderful, so I know that you will be pleased about that. :)

DVC QUESTION.....

I thought they supplied us with a small thing of Tide for the laundry???? It is in all the pictures. Do I need to bring my own detergent??
Do they have dish soap?

Sounds like you had an awful Friday. So I'm so glad to hear that Saturday was a great day and it sounds like you got a lot done.

I'm so glad MM is feeling better and is back to his old self.

Yesterday Ulf and I went to see a musical based on the movie "The Full Monty" from 1997. It was a fun and good show. The show in Tromsø has sold out. I'm so glad we bought tickets for more than 6 months ago.

Today I'm going on a geocaching event. It's always nice to meet my geocaching friends. And it is fathers day in Norway today. So I have to go to my parents house with a little present for my dad.

So glad to hear MM is doing better!

Quilt is looking so cute. Did you cut it by hand or get a chenille cutter?

So great that you got to enjoy lots of family time yesterday. We don't get much of that with the kids schedules and it seems like Joe is away every weekend with scouts. I think last weekend was his first home since school started. He's away this weekend & next.

Can't believe we will be in Disney this week! I found out its $50 to guarantee a standby (I thought it was $25) so I think I will just wait & try at airport. There are about 20 empty seats so if I can get there early enough my chances should be good. And the early flight is only 2 seats on each side so I won't get stuck in a middle seat. I'm still hoping to pack in carry on. I'm just working on laundry this morning.

DVC QUESTION.....

I thought they supplied us with a small thing of Tide for the laundry???? It is in all the pictures. Do I need to bring my own detergent??
Do they have dish soap?
When you arrive there will be 1 small tide box, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap. If you are paying cash they will replenish the tide everyday. If you're renting points you should get it on day 4-Saturday for you.

Trash & Towel Service - For stays of seven or less nights, Trash & Towel Service is provided on day four. With Trash & Towel service, Housekeeping will: Empty trash and replace liners in trash bins, provide fresh bathroom linens, replace shampoo, facial soap and bath soap, replenish facial tissues, paper towels and toilet paper, replenish coffee, sugar, cream and sweeteners, replenish dishwashing liquid, dishwashing detergent, sponges and laundry detergent as needed in one-, two- and three-bedroom Vacation Homes.

You might find this list helpful but it doesn't list laundry soap. http://allears.net/acc/dvc12bvamenities.htm

I sent D a text offering to get you guys anything you might want when I stop at the grocery store. I arrive the day after you. I'm sure I could just drop it off at bell services.

Thank you so much Bernadette! We did not rent points, just a cash stay. So we will get Mousekeeping every day. Thanks for the info and the offer to grab stuff for us :)

DVC QUESTION.....

I thought they supplied us with a small thing of Tide for the laundry???? It is in all the pictures. Do I need to bring my own detergent??

They give you one box of Tide. That might be all you need. We've had to use the washer/dryer unexpectedly when we had drenching rain and a drenching Kali ride, so it was a good thing I brought a few pods.

ETA: They never replenished our Tide.

So exciting to be so close!
I think $50 a day will be fine. DD and I purchased the Food and Wine sampler package for last weekend and wouldn't have spent near the price it cost. I added up all our receipts and it would only have cost about $75 for the 16 samples we got. The sampler cost $59 each. We did get guaranteed seating at the Boyz to Men concert though, and I'm really glad we did, we had great seats and didn't have to stand in line. We also each got a special pin.
I wish we could have met up with you guys! It was soooo hot last weekend, this November has to be the hottest I have seen in many years!
If you have a chance, check out the Chase lounge on the third floor of the American Experience at Epcot. Great place to cool down and it has free coffee and soft drinks! You do need a Chase credit card to get in.
I'm looking forward to the new trip report! Your reports are the only thing I read on the DIS now. Oh, did you see the new Disney Vera bags? I did slurge on one

I am SOOO happy to hear this! Makes me smile when I hear good things about fur babies.

Sounds like you had a wonderful day yesterday with your family.
Enjoy the rest of your day!:goodvibes

Thank you so much Bernadette! We did not rent points, just a cash stay. So we will get Mousekeeping every day. Thanks for the info and the offer to grab stuff for us :)
If either one of you are big coffee drinkers, you might want to bring your own coffee and some basket filters. We would always travel with a large family group so we would make at least two pots of coffee in the morning, and my coffee from home was better than the coffee they provide. In fact, I never used it.

There is a ten cup Mr Coffee type coffee maker in the villas.

Just catching up...

Your hair looks great and I'm so glad MM is doing well! We had some tummy troubles with Hobart ( little guy in my photo) and those vet bills were piling up.

The days leading up to a trip are always so exhausting! I haven't started packing yet and it's driving me nuts!

By the way, did you hear about the Wine and Dine Half weather fiasco?!

That is exactly my problem - which is why I can't work at home. I get distracted too easily.

Hehehe.... Usually, I am pretty good about it... but the days leading up to my trips is always the exception.

:woohoo: I finished it yesterday! I am so excited!!! I need to get pictures yet...

I will - somehow... I am not sure how often I'll be checking in here while I am in WDW? Buuuut.... I could always play along and post pictures of several? :scratchin ::yes::

DVC QUESTION.....

Good morning Swoozie... 2 more sleeps and a wake-up. party:

Eeeeek! It's getting so close! I can't wait!!!

I KNOW!!!!!!!!! <----- Yes, I did yell that! :woohoo:

We had a great weekend overall... It was just so nice to spend time with the girls and Josh together.

Me too... He is such a goofy guy.

Sounds like fun! I hope you had a great time! I hope you had a good time with your family last night.

Thanks Bernadette - I just love my Dis friends!!! You all are the best!

The quilt turned out so cute!!!! I need to get pictures of it yet.... But overall - I am so happy with it.... And I did end up binding it too, and I am glad I did. I would have been OK with the raggy edges - but I just like the look of the binding. I even rounded the corners to make it a little more "girly". :lovestruc

I did get a chenille cutter - but not the Olfa one - JoAnns no longer carries it at my store... I had to go with a strange brand from "as seen on TV" - it worked, and for as little as I will actually use it - it will be OK. Victoria helped me a LOT - and started cutting with a scissors from the other side - so we both tackled it together... Her help was greatly appreciated! ::yes::

I am soooo excited that we will be there this week!!! I cannot believe it's finally here! Eeep!

Thanks for all of the DVC info... And for answering Suzi's question - that was really awesome of you Bernadette! I cannot wait to see you in a few days! I hope your flight goes smoothly and you get on the flight you want to, in the seat you want too. ::yes:: Please stay in touch and text me when you arrive to let me know what's going on.

As of now, I think we are OK for supplies... I just drink water from the fountain soda dispenser - but I also have my Brita water bottle packed, so I can use that as a filter too. But thank you so much for the offer - it really means a lot!

Thank you so much Bernadette! We did not rent points, just a cash stay. So we will get Mousekeeping every day. Thanks for the info and the offer to grab stuff for us

eeep!!!! I cannot wait to find out where we are staying! :scratchin

They give you one box of Tide. That might be all you need. We've had to use the washer/dryer unexpectedly when we had drenching rain and a drenching Kali ride, so it was a good thing I brought a few pods.

ETA: They never replenished our Tide.

Eeek... I will have some extra Tide with me - I think. Just to be safe.

I really hope $50/day will be OK for food... Esp with F*W... But that sampler sounds awesome!!!! It might save me in the end? Gosh - I am not sure? That's a toughie.

I wish so too - that would have been awesome! I have a couple more trips coming up though - so hopefully we can make one of those work?

I don't have a Chase card... but maybe one of the others do?

I am gonna have to write this TR fast!!! I need to have it done before I leave on Allison's trip... And we leave something like 60 days after I get back from this one.

I did see the new VB pattern - I need to see it in person though... It is my one weakness in life... My entire family things I am so funny that I refuse to carry my own bags at home... But I love the simplicity of the black and white - so I may come home with it. I already know that I have to replace my Perfect Petals hipster - either on this trip or my Jan trip, it's looking really rough - beyond anything a washing machine can fix. :scratchin

3 days!!! That is so exciting!!!

It looks beautiful! That fabric is just too cute.

I am SOOO happy to hear this! Makes me smile when I hear good things about fur babies.

Sounds like you had a wonderful day yesterday with your family.
Enjoy the rest of your day!

Eeeep!!! I know - 2 days and a wake-up now!!! :woohoo:

Thanks! I am really happy with how it turned out!

I know - it's such a relief to have him back to being healthy before I go... Hopefully the family doesn't forget to continue his meds after I leave though... He will still have a few days left of them.

Thanks - we just had a wonderful family weekend... It's been way too long for one, and I've missed it a lot.

Thanks - you too!!!

Oh no!!! I am a big coffee drinker... OK - not huge, but I do have to have my ONE cup every morning, as soon as I step out of bed. I may have to figure this one out... I have cone filters here at home... I may have to stop at Target today and grab some basket filters. :scratchin

Thanks Sue - so much for all of your advice - I love my Dis friends so much!

Thank you!

Yes, me too - such a relief. Bummer that Hobart wasn't feeling well either - yes those vet bills can break a bank awful fast! We had that problem when Rufus got sick - we learned that we better have $$ set aside for pet emergencies. I hope Hobart is feeling better now? (I love his name!)

I know!!!! It's so exciting! Did we ever determine if we overlap at all???? I am so scatterbrained this trip... I am trying to keep my Dismeets organized in my phone calendar - and it's going well, but I don't have my handy-dandy list and I am a little discombobulated.

I did not hear about the W&D Half weather fiasco....

************************************************************************************************

Soooo... Yesterday.... Another crazy day in the books for me...

I started off with my "long run"... Which wasn't very long, but it went soooo much better than last week's. It was shorter than I would have liked, but Allison dropped me off, and picked me up, so when I saw she was waiting for me, I started to cool down. It was a great run though - and it felt good.

I was hoping I could fit in one more run before I go - but I don't think I'll be able to? We'll see.

Afterwards, Allison and I ran some errands in town...

Then we came home and I went straight to work on the quilt, while the girls helped Josh outside getting the lawn and yard ready for winter. He was so happy to have their help, and I was so relieved to get some time to work on the quilt.

In the end, I decided to bind it... I am very happy with how it turned out and I like the finished edge the binding gave to it - as opposed to the raggy edge I was considering. All in all, it took me 4.5 hours to bind the quilt!!!! I am not the best binder in the world, as I don't do it often enough - but I am glad I did it, because it made the quilt cuter, IMO... I even rounded the corners to make it more "girly"... I still need to get a picture of the finished quilt - I sure hope I remember to do that before I hand it off today. For now...

Josh made a great dinner last night, his home made baked beans and bratwurst on the grill... It was delicious!

Then I took a couple of hours just to veg out in my recliner... I feel like I've been going at 90 mph for weeks now (I really haven't).

I was in bed early, and asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

Today...

I will be working out right away....

Then I need to get up to my sewing room to finish the hand appliqued zipper pull for this order. What I don't finish this morning, I will have to finish tonight, as I do not have time tomorrow.

Josh and I are meeting Myrthe's mom for lunch at Chevy's- I love seeing her and chatting with her... I will pass off the quilt to her and all of the Christmas gifts we have for them and the kids.

I plan to swing past the girls' school on the way home and pick them up.

Not sure what we are having for dinner tonight? Hopefully something easy and good? LOL I"ll have to figure that out at some point today - in case I need to stop at the grocery store.

If I don't finish the zipper pull this morning, I will be working tonight. That order must go in the mail tomorrow.

I did make my nail appointment for tomorrow - so I am getting my nails done for this trip... I just couldn't not do it. I am doing something a bit different this time though. :scratchin

I hope you all have an amazing day today!!! I am getting very anxious and excited. I can barely contain myself! :woohoo:

Prayers and Pixie Dust to all! :grouphug:

D~

I will - somehow... I am not sure how often I'll be checking in here while I am in WDW? Buuuut.... I could always play along and post pictures of several? :scratchin ::yes::
You don't have to post a long update with pictures. All you have to do is post a quick update which says something like "We're staying at ...............". And then some comment about the resort. I would like to know if you like having a villa. I love them and of course I want everyone else to love them, too. ;)

I really hope $50/day will be OK for food... Esp with F*W... But that sampler sounds awesome!!!! It might save me in the end? Gosh - I am not sure? That's a toughie.
I've run the numbers for the sampler and it just doesn't work out to be cheaper than buying each item separately. I think it might work if you bought a lot of alcoholic drinks, but we don't do that.

Oh no!!! I am a big coffee drinker... OK - not huge, but I do have to have my ONE cup every morning, as soon as I step out of bed. I may have to figure this one out... I have cone filters here at home... I may have to stop at Target today and grab some basket filters. :scratchin
To tell the truth - I wouldn't bother buying basket filters. You can ask housekeeping for extra coffee packs. And the villa has a ten cup coffee maker, so one pot might be enough for two people. I only bring mine from home because we already have the filters and I have this delicious organic Kona blend coffee that I like to drink. ;)

I started off with my "long run"... Which wasn't very long, but it went soooo much better than last week's.
Congratulations. I know it is hard to get out in the winter. I never made it out this weekend. :(

ll in all, it took me 4.5 hours to bind the quilt!!!! I am not the best binder in the world, as I don't do it often enough - but I am glad I did it, because it made the quilt cuter, IMO..
The binding always takes forever since it is so long.

Congratulations on getting everything done this weekend. :)
