~~ They're leaving the nest, sew it's time for a trip - or two - or three...~~ D~'s bag ~9/22 ~~

Hi D~! Still here following along, just haven't had the chance to comment! First off, I love the bag! It's so adorable. My boyfriend and I will be going Oct 30-Nov8, so we're definitely going to be going to the Halloween party on Halloween, which is crazy of me, I know. I've seen the possibility of maybe the Christmas party starting on Nov 7? If this turns out to be true, we may try to go to that as well.

So sorry to hear about your knee! I do hope it is feeling better. I dealt with knee problems for almost 10 years. It started when I was 16, and they just kept telling me physical therapy and keep working at it. Finally ended up getting surgery at 25 and it's never felt better! I hope it does go away though, I know how annoying it can be, specially when you need to go up and down stairs all the time!

I love what Allison posted about you! What a kind thing to do, specially when most teenage girls just try and fight with their mothers. It's great to see such a strong relationship ^_^ It's really refreshing to see and makes me want to do something special for my mom! :)

I hope you have a fabulous Easter weekend! :goodvibes

I really hope you don't have to have a root canal, but if you do, they really aren't too bad. The worst thing about them is how long you have to hold your mouth open and the fact that it takes a couple visits. If you have a good dentist that takes care to numb you up, so that you can't feel anything, then all you have to do is open wide and let them work. It takes longer than a filling, which is the part I don't like.

You are lucky to have such loving daughters. And they are lucky to have a mom who spends so much time with them. :)

How great that Allison has no cavities

I'm crossing my fingers that you don't need a root canal and that your dentist will be able to fix the filling with a new filling

Sounds like you had a great day in your sewing room yesterday

Have a great day with Allison's BFF's mom and with the girls later today

Thanks - I hope so too... I just hope it isn't too painful, if that's what I need.

It was a great day - it's nice to have a feeling of accomplishment.

Thank you - I hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend! :lovestruc

Even when you don't have big Disney news, I enjoy checking in every day to see what you're up to I like your attitude about life and your quest for weight/size loss is motivating to many others. I feel your pain on the dentist - I had a bad experience when I was young and have never quite gotten over it. If you do have to go thru a root canal, they're really not too bad. I've been thru worse! Looking forward to your ADR's and seeing how your trip comes together!

Hahaha... Thanks - I am glad you enjoy reading along. I try very hard to keep this PTR on the Disney subject... Or at least relating to Disney in some way. ::yes::

Thanks - sometimes it's really hard to keep my mind in a nice place regarding my weight, size and healthy lifestyle... Despite that - I also believe in "keeping it real" - so I do share my ups and downs, because I know that many have them, just as I do... So sharing both my struggles and my triumphs is an important part of the journey for me.

It sounds like your bad dentist experience was pretty awful, it must be hard that it's still difficult to go to the dentist. I am hoping that a root canal won't be too terrible - but I am still terrified of it.

Thanks - I will be making my ADRs during the month of April, and I am very excited for them.

Have a great Easter weekend! :lovestruc

MM looks so cute with the ice cream. He probably will think that every time you get in the car he gets DQ.
I'm glad Alli didn't have any cavities. Hopefully getting the filling in your tooth redone will take care of the problems you're having.
I'm glad you found the missing villans cup. I used to avoid DD's room whenever I could. It was such a mess.
DD had a rough day yesterday. A car rolled across the parking lot at work and hit her car. In the picture she sent it looked like someone missed when trying to park and hit her car instead. She drives a Jeep so the other car got the worse of it. The Jeep is mostly scrape.
d up with a small dent. The owner of the car that hit her has insurance so that's good.
Yesterday it was 70 outside and today we're getting rain and snow. Don't you just love Spring.
Have a good day
Liz

Hi Liz!!!!

Hehehe... That's what concerns me - LOL.

I sure hope so too... I am scared to death about this root canal.

LOL - I do avoid the girls' rooms as much as possible... I can't even stand to look in them sometimes... They have gotten better as they've gotten older - but still...

That is such a bummer about dd's car. I sure hope that she is able to fix it easily and quickly... Just glad she wasn't in it and no one was hurt.

Have a great Easter weekend Liz! :lovestruc

You had to shovel? eeek! Thankfully this year i think we had a total of about a foot total for all of winter!!! THANK GOODNESS NO SNOW HERE! I am dying to get my camera out!

I can't read about the dentist.. it makes my skin crawl so good luck!!!

Yes - I shoveled... But I think most of the snow we got the other day is gone now. I don't mind it at this time of year - it goes so quickly. :thumbsup2

Yah - I dislike the dentist too...

I hope you have a great Easter weekend!

Ugh, that's too bad about your tooth not feeling so great. I hope everything works out ok and its something your dentist can fix without too much pain/trouble.

Enjoy your lunch today with your friend and all the errands! I have to say, I agree with you, I always enjoy running errands, especially with my mom. It's always fun.

Happy Easter to you and your family Dorine! Enjoy!

I sure hope so too... I am super nervous about it. But I really can't ignore it - or I am sure it will get worse.

Thanks - it was a lot of fun... We always have a good time.

Thanks - Happy Easter to you and yours as well. :lovestruc

Happy Easter!!

Thank you - same to you!!! I hope you have a wonderful Easter! :lovestruc

No worries! It's great to see you! Thanks for checking in! :lovestruc

:woohoo: MNSSHP on Halloween - that will be fun!!! We've done it twice - both times, we chose the night before Halloween to go... and it was very busy that night, as it was sold out.... So, I can only imagine it will be just as busy on the actual holiday... But it will be a lot of fun! And it's such a great party - my favorite! :woohoo:

It would be awesome if your could do MVMCP too. ::yes::

I agree - I've struggled with knee problems for ~um~ :scratchin probably close to 25 years now... I dislocated this knee in one of my high school cheerleading competitions - and because of that, this knee joint has always been a little weak... I've dislocated it several times since then - the last time being about 10 years ago, when I was at my heaviest - I was walking one day (in Target no less) and it popped out. Over the last few years and during my strength training - I've been very careful to target the muscles around my knee to strengthen that area, and it's helped considerably. I kind of assumed that I was over the biggest hurdle and my knee problems were a thing of the past. Whatever I have going on now is not from another dislocation - as I know what that feels like - LOL... I do believe it's a ligament issue... It seems to be healing - but I still have pain in certain circumstances - so I am trying to be very cautious of those movements and positions. Otherwise - I am able to walk normally and also do stairs. :thumbsup2

Thank you... I am so lucky to have my girls! :lovestruc I am a little shocked, myself, that our relationships are a strong and as fun as they are - I honestly never expected them to be this way. I am not sure what I expected? But it happened and I love every moment with them and who they are... And I am so thankful that they appreciate me just as much. Don't get me wrong - our lives are not all kisses, flowers and dreams - LOL We have our disagreements and our issues... but that's all part of life and relationships. Most of the time - we have fun and we get along well. :lovestruc I hope you do something special for your mom and recognize her - it sure made me feel good that Allison did that for me - it made me feel blessed beyond belief! :lovestruc

Thank you - I hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend too! :lovestruc Thanks for taking the time to stop by!

Happy Easter!

Thanks so much!!! I hope you have a wonderful Easter too! :lovestruc

I hope to too Sue... Thanks for the pep talk and the words of encouragement. Part of the reason I am so scared, is that I have no idea what to expect... Thanks for taking the time to give me a short synopsis. :D

Thanks!!! I do love them very much and I love spending time with them - they are a lot of fun! I am very thankful that they are who they are - they are good girls! :lovestruc

I hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend Sue!!!

*********************************************************************************************

Yesterday was a whirlwind of craziness!

I started my day off with a heavy lifting session... And I did manage to do squats for the first time since I injured my knee. I was very cautious and I didn't go as low as I normally go, and I used a bit lighter weight than I typically do... It went OK - and I am not feeling any issues in my knee... However - my rear is sore - as it should be, from not doing squats in almost 3 weeks. ::yes::

Then I got ready to head out for my crazy day... I ran to the vet to get food for the boys... Then I met Allison's BFF's mom for lunch - we had so much fun! I always enjoy spending time with her - she is such a delightful and loyal friend - just as her dd is to Allison. We sat there for 2 hours and chatted... Of course, making plans to do it again soon. :lovestruc

Afterwards, I ran home to pick up the girls... V drove everywhere yesterday...

We drove to pick up V's sunglasses...

We went to JoAnn's to grab some fabric...

We went to the bank....

We went to Michael's...

We went to V's appointment....

We went to the mall to pick up Allison's new glasses...

We came home...

All in all - it took us approximately 4 hours. ::yes::

Josh decided he wanted fish fry for dinner last night... So - we decided to go to a little place which was voted "the best dang fish fry in Minnesota"... Yup - it was busy. We go there all the time, actually... And us locals have known it's a hidden gem for years. But now everyone else knows it too. Yup - we had to wait almost 3 hours for a table... Is it worth a 3 hour wait??? Maybe? Well, maybe to others - but we live close enough that we can go any time... But we waited just the same. We sat at the bar and had a few drinks - quite honestly, I am not a big drinker - and I had my drink on an empty stomach, so it wasn't sitting well with me - I drank water for most of the night. We were finally seated around 7:30... I took one selfie of the girls and I... You can see Allison's cute new glasses in this photo...

20160325_201846.jpg

And this is what my plate of "the best darn fish fry in Minnesota" looks like... It is delicous! Typically, I don't eat mayo based products - but Linda makes her own tartar sauce (not pictured), and it's delicious - so that is my one exception. LOL

20160325_202724.jpg

We came home and we went straight to bed, because by then it was after 9pm.

Today... I have some business paperwork I need to work on this morning... Then I plan on working upstairs most of the day - since I wasn't up there at all yesterday.

I know that V wants to go to Target at some point - so I'll need to make time for that. Unless I can talk Allison into taking her? :scratchin

That's about it for today.

I hope you all have an amazing Easter weekend - I hope you are able to spend it with special people in your lives. :grouphug:

D~

Sounds like a busy day yesterday.

Waiting for a table for 3 hours at a restaurant is crazy but your food looks delicious

Great selfie of you and the girls :)

Last night my computer wasn't behaving as normal. So I decided to take a back up of it today. I should have taken back up a long time ago. But now it is done. I have to start doing it on a regular basis so when my computer says good night for good I have a back up of all my stuff. Other than that I haven't done much today. I had to go to the store for some stuff. The stores has been closed since 7pm on Wednesday and they were open a few hours today and now they are closed until Tuesday.

I hope you have a great day

Oh no! Glad you were able to get your back up done! Phew! I think it's kind of nice that the stores are closed for the holidays - I wish we did more of that here.

I hope you have a wonderful Easter - Ulf too!

****************************************************************************************************

I don't have much to say today - LOL... Yesterday went exactly how I thought it would.

Today - I will probably work for a little while this morning, then we will leave after V is home from church to go to my Dad's house. Not only is it Easter - but it is also his birthday. :woohoo: So, we are having a small party there today.

Sadly, Allison cannot go - as she has to work for part of it.

That's about all. I hope you all have a wonderful Easter! :lovestruc

Happy Birthday to your dad. I hope you all have a great time at your dad celebrating his birthday :)

Happy Easter and wish your Dad a Happy Birthday from me.
Today I'm going to my niece's for Easter. My daughter's picking me up since I haven't been to her house since she moved. If it's still nice out we'll probably go to a local park for a walk after we eat and the little ones do the Easter egg hunt.
Yeah, my daughter was lucky the accident happened while she was in her office but so was the owner of the other car. If her car hadn't hit my daughter's Jeep it would have end up in a ravine with a creek at the bottom.
Alli looks cute in her new glasses. Sorry she has to work today. I wish stores would close on holidays. They really don't need to be open.
Have a great day.
Liz

Happy Easter! The fish fry looks good, wow the place is popular! I hope your teeth are okay, I had a white filling this past October and it was so sensitive for about three weeks then it improved and is fine now. The dentist said sometimes air can get trapped and it causes great sensitivity so hopefully it will improve and not be a need for root canal ugh!

Happy Easter and Happy Birthday to your Dad!!

I have to go back and catch up on what I didn't read, but boy you seemed to be busy.

I cried when I read Allison's post. What a special young lady you raised.
MM looked like he really enjoyed that treat. So glad you found your mug. Boo on having a tooth issue. Sorry to say it, but the dentist is just the worst. I know how you feel completely.

I went on a little family trip. I visited the munchkins and celebrated a special 3rd birthday. It was great to spend time with them again. Our days were filled with play doh, tea party and cupcakes. Her grandparents took her to see Disney Live! She was thrilled!!!
Then, we were off and running to look at houses. I was disappointed. Decided it was time to change my location search and possibly get a new realtor. Don't get me wrong she was very sweet, but just not getting what I want. This is the second time I have been with her and we have discussed things. Just not sure she gets what I want.

The house is on the market and if we sell before we find something it will be a mad dash to move ourselves. It wouldn't be the first time things would go this way.

Hope you have a wonderful evening!

Happy Birthday to your dad. I hope you all have a great time at your dad celebrating his birthday

Thanks Lillian - we had a great time. It was a long drive, as usual - but I made V do it, and she did great. It was her first time on the freeway and coming home, it was her first time on the freeway at night.

Happy Easter and wish your Dad a Happy Birthday from me.

I did pass along birthday wishes to him. He had a great time, I think - but he was sure tired when we left. I am not sure if it's the meds he is on - or if there is something else going on - but he could hardly keep his eyes open all day.

I hoe you enjoyed your day at your niece's, and all of the festivities - it sounds like you had a fun plan for yesterday.

I agree - it was a bummer that she had to work - but she is trying to work as much as she can to save for Europe, so it's all OK.

Thanks Liz - same to you! :lovestruc

Happy birthday to your day
Happy Easter

Thanks! I did pass along birthday wishes while I was there. I hope you had a wonderful Easter too! :lovestruc

I did - it was fun! We need to do it more often!

Ha= yes - 3 hours... It was crazy! But good. LOL

Thank you very much - same to you! :lovestruc

Happy Easter, D! I hope you had an enjoyable day with your family.

Thank you - I did. I hope you enjoyed your Easter, as well. :lovestruc

Happy Easter! The fish fry looks good, wow the place is popular! Yes - it's a popular bar/restaurant anyways - and this just made it insane. Hopefully it settles down now that lent is over. :scratchin

Interesting... I did have a white filling put it - but the dentist never said anything like this to me. It almost makes me wonder if I shouldn't try to wait it out longer? It has been 3 weeks... :scratchin And at the moment, it seems to be getting worse - rather than better...

Have a great day! :lovestruc

Happy Easter and Happy Birthday to your Dad!!

Hahaha... Yes - I just hope he doesn't expect it every time we go for a car ride. LOL

I know - I was so happy when I found it... I just had a feeling it wasn't lost for good.

I hate the dentist - I really do. Mine is a nice enough guy - but just the whole thought makes me cringe...

It sounds like you had a fun weekend with the kiddos! Such great memories you are making with them! :lovestruc

I sure hope you are able to find a house soon... I hated house hunting every time we have had to look - it's always so difficult to find what we want within what we can afford realistically. I sure hope your realtor comes through for you! Sending pixie dust your way! :thumbsup2

Thank you, same to you! :lovestruc

**************************************************************************************

All in all - yesterday was a great day!

I was lazy all morning... I did not stay out of the candy bowl - but I did limit myself quite well and I am happy with that. Pretty much - whatever if left after I get home from work today is going in the trash - unless the girls want to take it to their rooms. :scratchin

We went to my Dad's yesterday afternoon... V drove on the freeway for the first time - through the metro... She did great! I was very proud of her - she has come a long way in the last few weeks! :woohoo:

We brought Papa Murphy's pizzas with us - since there were really no restaurants open to eat at... Glad I thought of this in advance - or we would have been starving yesterday. ::yes::

I am a bit concerned for Dad's health again... He had a hard time staying awake the entire time we were there, and every time I looked at him, he seemed to be leaning over to the side. He said his back was bothering him. :( I plan to call his nurse today or tomorrow to see if this could be caused from the meds he is on... It's just not his typical social behavior.

We visited with Dad for a while... And we played a game of Tri-Ominos with him... It's a game I remember my parents playing a lot with me when I was younger... We had fun!

20160327_161629_HDR.jpg

20160327_161637.jpg

We had several people come for his small birthday party... Jonathan's foster-family came, and so did mine... It was nice to have them all there and together. Even though both families have been instrumental in our individual lives - the don't often interact - they haven't seen each other since my wedding and I think that may have been the first time they met? :scratchin I know - my family life is strange... But I love everyone and everyone loves my brother and I - so that's what counts. :lovestruc

My Dad, my brother and my foster-dad in the background...

20160327_181442.jpg

And finally - a selfie of my brother and I... It took several selfies to get a good photo... It's always so hard to get pictures of Jonathan, because he never looks at the camera - but with selfies, he can see the screen, so it's a little easier to get him to focus his attention. :lovestruc Even though - the angle of me is less than flattering... Sigh.

20160327_160146_1.jpg

We left pretty late - by our standards. Which gave V the opportunity to drive through the metro, on the freeway, in the dark. It was a good experience for her and she did great.

We got home at about 9pm... We visited with Allison for a little bit and went straight to bed... We were all exhausted!

Today - I will work out, and be diligent about my eating... I didn't do the greatest yesterday - but it wasn't horrible either. It just calls for a few days of being on track again.

It is also a Target day, and I hope to get up to my sewing room this afternoon to finish off on more of my side projects. I am back to custom orders this week, so any side projects I wish to do, will have to be done in my spare time. This is when my life gets crazy for a while.

I hope you all have a great day!!! Sending lots of pixie dust your way and I hope you had an enjoyable Easter weekend! :lovestruc

D~

I hope you found out why your dad is tired and falls a sleep when that's not normal for him.
Look like you had a great time at your dad.

I hope you have a great day at Target :)

Today I got Ulf to help me start cleaning my flat. It gets cluttered over time because it's so easier to just leave things out than putting them back where they belong when I'm done with it. Some stuff comes in to the house and I don't know where to put them so they end up on the piano or the table and it gets cluttered that way. But Now the tables and piano are free from clutter and I'm starting to get ready to have my parents and grandmother over for my birthday in 2 weeks.

Today it's 44.6ºF outside. That's warmer than normal. Normal temperature in March in Tromsø is around 27ºF.

It looks like you had a lovely visit with your family yesterday -- that's always so nice. And great job, V, on all of the driving on the freeway and through the metro! That's great! I managed to stay out of the Easter candy yesterday, which is actually quite amazing. I think it's because I was so busy fixing Easter dinner (we had seven people over for dinner) and getting the house ready. LOL!

Have a wonderful day!

:woohoo: Annnd... In other trip news - I've just added an extra night on to our hotel stay... I've been watching airfare closely - and even though I haven't booked yet, it's been a constant 50% cheaper if we fly home a day later... I can always change later if I need to, but this works out better with our entire trip plan anyways. :woohoo: Soooo... Make this trip 9 nights & 10 days! :woohoo:
