~~ They're leaving the nest, sew it's time for a trip - or two - or three...~~ D~'s bag ~9/22 ~~

It is great to hear that Allison is feeling pretty good!
Ooh more leggings - looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Hahaha... If you really want to know, I'll tell you, but it might be a long post? :lovestruc I never much cared about make up or anything - but then last year, for our anniversary, Allison did my make-up and it looked so professional and nice... I was addicted right then and there, so I made her teach me, and I've become a little obsessive about doing my make-up professionally now whenever I go out... Which is why it now takes me so long to get ready. :scratchin

I'm a makeup junkie myself so I was trying to figure out what brand foundation you used from Allison talking about the different numbers.

... I overheard someone at the FQ bus stop call me "obnoxious" and I was really hurt by that - even though I was having fun - I didn't want to look "obnoxious" either...

Wow, that had to hurt terribly. Hurting someone's feelings is much more obnoxious to me than the way someone is dressed.

Have a great weekend and I'm hoping Allison will be able to enjoy all of the things she wants to eat at Disney. :mickeybar:mickeybar:mickeybar

So glad Allison is doing well! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. I need to start packing for my trip in 20 days.

Thanks! Yes - she seems to be doing pretty well. Yes - you do!!!! Get on that! (I should talk... LOL)

So glad to hear that Allison is doing well and loved the video and your "flawless skin"....glad you are able to save that FOREVER. :-)

LOL - That was my favorite one of the day. :scratchin

Wow, I am impressed she was able to eat the beef from Arbys. That is great news. Seems like you have it all under control.

Marissa is taking a 32 hour sewing class through her school's craft center. I may need recommendations on sewing machines I should be on the look out for. I have a cheapy plastic Singer (Walmart low end model). She is so excited to learn how to sew.

She has applied to study abroad next year in Japan. She chose a school in Tokyo, I think mainly because they have a Disney Club. They all have Annual Passes (that are a lot more expensive than the US annual passes) and they go hang out at Disneyland Tokyo. They have a couple of different Annual Passes though. One works just on the weekends after like 2 pm. Then there is one for the weekdays that works after 4 pm. She is looking into those. So, your bags most likely will be seen in Tokyo Disney next year.

Yes - she was starving and we were trying to find somewhere soft she could eat... The just cut it really small and pretty much swallowed it whole. ::yes::

Exciting for her!!!! Well, I am sure the machine she has will get her through her lessons, but she may find it tough to get through some seams? :scratchin I always (always) recommend a vintage machine... They have power and the ability to go through seams that machines these days (even in the very, very high price bracket) just cannot compare with. Usually - anything 1970 and older is considered "vintage" - that was when manufacturers started using plastic parts. Best of luck to Marissa - I hope she enjoys it!!! :woohoo:

Oooh - that is even more exciting!!!! I cannot wait to hear if she gets accepted for this! :woohoo:

So glad Allison is doing well after her surgery. Being the bad mom I am, my oldest (22) scheduled his wisdom teeth to be taken out on the first day of our Disney trip. Oops. Luckily one of his friends could take him and bring him to his apartment (he's in medical school and living about 40 minutes from us, so really is out on his own). It went well, but he did have a slight complication later, which was easily fixed. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing for Allison!

Would you do me a favor--I saw you had posted on the SOG resort thread. Someone mentioned that SOG has a refillable mug, which they said cost $6.95. Would you please find out if they still offer that. I'd like a firm confirmation on it. I'm thinking of a surprise birthday trip for DS2 and I in May and SOG is having a room only discount. DS2 wants to stay at SOG, but he also enjoys that Disney rapid refill mug. If SoG does it also, that would just be a nice bonus!

I'm looking forward to your TR on your SoG visit--I love your Disney TR's (and pre TR's too!)

Yikes!!!! Glad to hear that your DS's surgery went well, and he made it through is complication ok. :thumbsup2

I will look into it - I wonder where I would find it... Have you heard which restaurant it's refillable at?

Thanks - I am really looking forward to telling about it! Just be prepared for lots of 'selfies' - since it will just be Allison and I most of the time. ::yes::

So happy to hear that Allison is doing well. I hope she recovers quickly and will be able to eat (somewhat) normally in WDW.

Yes - it's such a relief! So far, so good. :thumbsup2 I hope so too... I think she may need to be a little careful and conscious of it - but I think for the most part, she should be OK. We are just very lucky that this happened when it did, and not next week - or while we were gone.

Hi D! I haven't checked in in a couple of days and I can't believe the whirlwind you've gone through. Poor Allison. An infected tooth is no joke. So glad you were able to get her in quickly. I'm so glad she's on the mends. She should be feeling better soon. I had my wisdom teeth out and the next day went and cheered at a football game. I was a sophomore in high school and pretty stupid. I lasted until halftime and then had to go home. I was back at school on a Monday and they were taken out on a Friday. My mom is a dental hygienist so no sympathy there. Prayers for a swift recovery. Sounds like she's got a great mom nurse to help her.

Yes - it's been a little chaotic lately. LOL I was a little shocked, while we were at the dentist, that they were searching frantically for an oral surgeon who could get her in that day - I wasn't expecting that, when we walked in there. But I am thankful that they were able to find someone who had an opening - and who didn't charge us an "emergency rate".

I bet you were a little tuckered out and sore after that. I am noticing that Allison still tires pretty quickly - I am much the same way after coming out of anesthesia - It's almost as if I don't fully "wake up" until a few days later? Strangest thing - or my body is just traumatized by the experience? LOL

So I was 11 PAGES behind on your PTR but I'm finally caught up.

I'm so glad Allison is going well and those videos cracked me up!! Sounds like she'll be in good shape for your trip.

I can't believe someone called you obnoxious! That's so rude and I'm sorry it happened :( I don't know why people have to be like that.

Your trip is getting so close now. I'm so excited for you guys!!!

WOW!!! Thanks for taking the time to catch up - that means a lot to me.

Yes - I am relieved she is doing well... I don't think I will breathe too easily until Mon or Tues next week - then the chances of dry socket drop dramatically... Fingers crossed - I know she is very worried about that.

Yah - I'll post a picture of what I was wearing that day... It's OK - but it really made me rethink my outfits and what I wear. It's OK to have fun - and to each their own definitely - but I try to tone it down a little bit. LOL

We are getting very excited! :woohoo:

It is great to hear that Allison is feeling pretty good!
Ooh more leggings - looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Yes - it's such a relief to us - I think it's due mostly to my insistence of being right on time with meds?

Hahaha - yes I did finish them... Sigh, but I NEED a long tunic length shirt for this one - and the ONLY thing I am finding out there right now is black - sigh... I like black n' all, but I am afraid that I will be wearing a different black tunic length shirt every day - and that will get really old after a few days. :scratchin For that matter - I have 2 identical black tunic length shirts - and I honestly need to wear both of them. LOL I wish there was something I could do to make them look different? :scratchin

I'm a makeup junkie myself so I was trying to figure out what brand foundation you used from Allison talking about the different numbers.

Wow, that had to hurt terribly. Hurting someone's feelings is much more obnoxious to me than the way someone is dressed.

Have a great weekend and I'm hoping Allison will be able to enjoy all of the things she wants to eat at Disney.

OK - LOL Here is goes... You asked. I really don't do much special, to be honest... I just wash my face in the shower - the girls and I all use Cetaphil face cleanser, because we all have really sensitive skin. And I apply Cetaphil face moisturizer - I've tried many brands, but like I said - we have super sensitive skin, and this is the only one we can use that doesn't burn us. For foundation, I used Avon BB cream - I have 2 shades (light and light medium) which I mix according to the color of my skin - at the moment, I am using more light than light medium, I also have a MAC foundation I use - once in a great while - I don't use it often because I honestly like the Avon BB cream better, and the MAC foundation is expensive. The biggest trick I've found - is that I apply my foundation with a brush... The girls and I each have our own foundation brushes - the F80 Sigma brush - this thing is GOLD, and I am not kidding! I never knew that a brush could make all the difference in the world! Even more exciting is that Sigma is a local MN company! :woohoo: I find that it really doesn't matter which foundation I use, as long as I apply it with the brush. ::yes:: http://www.sigmabeauty.com/f80-flatkabuki/p/F80PARNT I would not be able to live without this! I also found that consealer is super important - I've tried many brands, and I have yet to find one I really don't like... Right now I am using a Loreal sponge tip applicator one - in the lightest shade... For under my eyes, around my nose and other random spots I might need it.

After discovering my above brush - I kind of became a "brush snob" - and always searching for a deal, I decided to splurge on a nice set of brushes - they are super expensive, but honestly worth their weight in gold. I purchased this set, because it's a travel set and cheaper - and I love it - really the best deal out there... Oooh - super jealous - right now they have this one on sale, it's exactly like mine, but mine is a different color... This is a SUPER good deal - I am tempted to buy the girls their own set now!!!! http://www.sigmabeauty.com/travel-kit-make-me-crazy/p/TKPUR-1 So - I use all of these brushes on a daily basis, the only brush this set does not come with is the F80 mentioned above. The best part, is that these come in a cute little travel container (and you can fit the F80 in there along with all of these brushes). It's an awesome set - and I cannot believe it's on sale!!!

OK - more make up... LOL For highlighting/contouring - I use this set... http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod11571030

The girls and I have managed to "gather" these eye sets over the last 2 years... These are just the best and I love them so much!!! There are infinite ways to use these - and I love how natural they look. I have yet to find any eye sets that go on as nicely as these ones do... They are expensive, but I always have a coupon when I buy them - and a couple of these palettes we've had for almost 2 years - with 3 of us using them every day - they last a LONG time! So, during the video - when Allison was asking "Which Naked palette did you use today?" She was referring to these.

naked-palettes-collage2.jpg

For Allison's "wings" (not sure what she uses) and my eye liner (I just use the darkest eye shadow in the above sets as eye liner) - we use Sigma brush E65... This brush also fits in the travel container above. Aside from the travel brush set - these are the only 2 brushes we use outside of that. http://www.sigmabeauty.com/e65-small-angle/p/E65PARNT

I always dust over the top of everything with this - the powder I use is loose - this one looks to be pressed? http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod12011173

For eye brows - I am not as big into eyebrows as Allison is, I cannot do the "big brows"... So, I just use this to accentuate what I already have... http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod5770325

Mascara, I use Maybelline Great Lash in black/brown for my lashes as my "base layer" - then when that dries, I do the tips of my lashes in black: http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod3460265

Lip gloss, I use this most of the time (color: Naked) - I don't carry it around with me though, because it's expensive and I don't want to lose it, so I usually apply at home... http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod6371230 Then in my bag - I carry this to refresh... Loreal color: Dulce de Leche 825 http://www.target.com/p/l-oreal-par...l-lip-gloss/-/A-13717215#prodSlot=medium_1_10

Then, when I am all finished - I do a few sprays of this, and I am done... http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod4930051

I purchase many of the above items in "travel sizes" - I find that they last me a really long time (even with the girls mooching off of my stuff) and it's a little less expense at one time - and really, by the time I am done with the travel sized stuff - it's time to get new stuff anyways, as makeup doesn't last forever. ::yes::

Aren't you glad you asked? LOL I guess - my makeup regime is a bit over the top... But it's amazing the difference it makes in my over all appearance and self-esteem. Granted - I don't do this full-on make up every day, but I do definitely do it every day in Disney - because I go with the intention of being in sooooo many pictures, and I notice a huge difference in how they turn out.

Phew... So - at the end of all of this... My biggest recommendation is getting the F80 and one of the sale travel brush sets, if you can - but the F80 is the most important. ::yes:: Sorry it was such a long reply... LOL

***************************************************************************************************

OK - so... Yesterday....

I worked out - so that is good. ::yes::

I had every intention of working in my sewing room - but that didn't happen. Sadly.

Allison and I had to drop off V's math folder at school before her 10:30am class - so we had to rush out the door much earlier than I would have liked.

Allison posted this picture of us on FB... She can't smile and she is a bit swollen, but overall looks great!

FB_IMG_1452337918265.jpg

We were hungry - and since Allison is so limited right now on what she can eat - we landed at a restaurant that we don't normally frequent... Noodles & Co... Um-yah. It was OK, not my favorite - but it was good, and I was glad that Allison was able to eat something.

After - we went to the outlet mall... Allison tried on a bazillion jeans at American Eagle... Found one pair that she settled with - they didn't fit her the way she wanted them to, but they were better than nothing.

We decided to try the AE at the MOA... So we headed up there and we were glad we did. She immediately found 2 pairs of jeans that fit her really well and she really liked. So, she returned the first pair and purchased the other 2. Now she is set for the trip. :woohoo:

By that time - it was time to pick V up from school, so we swung that direction, grabbed her and came home. Then we all vegged the rest of the night.

NOT.

Hahahaha....

Guess who finally started packing???? Both Allison and I! :woohoo:

Here's my mess:

20160108_155031.jpg

I still have 1 more pair of crop leggings to wash and pack, and a couple of minor things to add... but for the most part, I am packed. My suitcase barely zipped, and weighed in at 48 lbs! Praying I don't need to bring anything home. :scratchin The only items on my wish list for souvies this trip are a new Vera Bradely Perfect Petals Hipster (mine is totally shot - I wear it every day) and a 2016 Alex and Ani bracelet to add to my collection. I'll probably find a tee shirt too - or something like that which I can't live without... but hopefully I can keep it to a minimum.

I really should take a picture with all of it in there - it looks really nice now. :thumbsup2

Soooo.... today....

I am working. I must. I need to finish this week's custom order.

Then Allison has one more thing she needs for our trip - so we need to run out and grab that. Hopefully it won't take too long? :scratchin

Then we will be home and resting for the remainder of the day. ::yes::

Oh - I wanted to post a picture of what I was wearing the day the person at the FQ bus stop called me "obnoxious"... Yah... I don't think I was that bad? And I love these capris - sadly they don't fit me anymore, but they were fun and cute...

Photo0400FourBySix.jpg

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! Prayers and good thoughts to all of you!

Ahhh, I missed the Naked part of her comment or else I'd have known.

No, I loved reading about it actually. :) Thanks for the brush tip, I've never heard of that brand before!

Congrats on your packing. :thumbsup2 I'm waiting til the day before per usual. At least this time around I have the excuse of being sick to procrastinate.

Have a great weekend, D~!!!

Oh Mylanta! I don't think that's obnoxious at all! They didn't know what they were talking about. I think you look cute.

You were not obnoxious, you were showing your Disney side!!! I love those capris:flower:
My daughter says the same thing about using a brush to put on foundation, I guess I need to try it. You both look great, I was especially impressed how great Allison looked right after surgery princess:.
I found two disney shirts half price yesterday, I love how they are made wide & short, just what I need!
See ya real soon,
Monica

Of all the things people wear at WDW, someone thought that outfit was obnoxious?!(whatever happened to the phrase "if you can't say something nice..."?) I love those capris! After seeing them, I'm considering adding Minnie for ruffles to the hem of some jean shorts for my next trip! ...maybe a Mickey head appliqué on the back pocket too!

Guess who finally started packing???? Both Allison and I!
WOO HOO!!!! So exciting!

I can't believe she thought your outfit was "obnoxious". It was adorable! She was just a buzz-killing poopy-head!

Oh good - I am glad you enjoyed reading about it. After I'd posted it yesterday morning, I got to thinking that maybe I shouldn't have - it's just too much. Trust me when I say, I do NOT do that every day - most days, it's jammie pants and tee shirts for me - with pony tails and headbands. LOL

I do love the brushes though - I cannot recommend them enough. And my favorite part... You see (you probably wouldn't have guessed) - but I have a small addiction to travel bags, bags in general and traveling... And I LOVE it when everything coordinates. In a few days - when I am completely packed, I'll show a picture of my brush set all packed up... It looks so cute in there. Yah - I am a total dork, but it just makes me happy... Probably because I am going somewhere. LOL

Oh no!!!! I hope you are feeling better soon!!!! And definitely feeling better in time for your trip and your race!!!! That is awful! Take good care and get lots of rest!

Thanks - you too! :lovestruc

Oh Mylanta! I don't think that's obnoxious at all! They didn't know what they were talking about. I think you look cute.

Thank you! :lovestruc I felt a bit awful and very self conscious for the rest of that trip... On top of being at my heaviest weight - it just really affected how I felt about me... So, now I try to be a little less "obnoxious" and a little more "put together" while still having fun. I feel like I've found a good balance, and I truly enjoy putting my outfits together & wearing them. :lovestruc

You were not obnoxious, you were showing your Disney side!!! I love those capris:flower:

Monica

Thanks Monica... I do love them too - I thought they were fun and they were fun to make, but I can understand where some might think it was too much. There are just a lot of people out there who go to WDW but don't "get" the Disney love. But I do love the outfits I wear now and I do have so much more fun hunting them down and coordinating all of my accessories... I am so excited for our Halloween trip - that will be an awesome one for themes. ::yes::

Yes - not just any brush though - a GOOD brush.... I cannot say enough good things about our Sigma brushes... Everyone in the make-up industry gives them such great reviews, even though they are a newer company... I didn't know they were MN based until we saw their store at the MOA and we were talking to the girls there - so, I was even happier to give them our business. ::yes::

Yay for new Disney shirts!!! :woohoo: I am still trying to figure out what I am going to wear down on the flight... Right now, I have the exact same outfit I came home in, in November - and I dunno??? I am just not feeling it... So, I need to find something to wear on the flight. I'll definitely be wearing my blingy denim capris - even though they sometimes give me trouble going through security - they are my heaviest piece of clothing, so they either need to be worn or carried on.

See Ya Real Soon, my friend - looking forward to it!!! :woohoo: And so excited that you'll be staying at the Poly - we will be bumping into each other lots - since when we stay at SoG, we almost exclusively use the Poly for everything - except for the pool, of course. :thumbsup2

Hahaha... Yes - Looking back, it doesn't look that bad... But - that was also back in 2012... Disney bounding and dressing up in WDW for adults has come a long way in that time - it wasn't nearly as popular then as it is now. Hmmmm.... :scratchin Come to think of it - I was probably one of the first? Hahahaha.... A pioneer in Disney Bounding. Nah - I don't think of how I dress as true Disney Bounding - I think what I do is a bit different? Anyways - it's fun, and I really enjoy how I do it now. ::yes:: I wouldn't change how my Disney style has evolved. :lovestruc

That would be really cute!!!! Words of caution though - I am not sure about adding ruffles on shorts for Disney - only because, my thighs rub together when I walk, and I could only think that ruffles in that area would chafe - even if your thighs didn't rub together?? So, I would definitely do it on capris or a skirt vs. shorts. :scratchin But yes - bling out that Disney wardrobe!!!! It's soooo fun!!!! :lovestruc I love showing my Disney side! :woohoo:

WOO HOO!!!! So exciting!

I can't believe she thought your outfit was "obnoxious". It was adorable! She was just a buzz-killing poopy-head!

Thank you! :lovestruc I agree Debora! Believe it or not, it was actually a MAN who said that about me - and not a woman... He was literally pointing me out to his wife/female person with him, and he was quite loud about it - so it caused everyone at the bus stop to look at me. It was quite embarrassing, and I felt badly. Oh well... I've moved on and adjusted my style considerably since then. And I am happy with it now, so it's all good. :lovestruc I really enjoy wearing all of the accessories - it's a lot of fun and I do get a lot of great comments in Disney.

How is dd doing?

***********************************************************************************************

OK... Yesterday - well... I worked for a few hours in the morning. I did not finish my custom order - but I only have about an hour's worth of work to do on it - so I will do that sometime today.

Then Allison and I went out shopping... I think we are finally done shopping for our trip. I am still on the look out for an ORANGE or LIME GREEN tunic length top - I would prefer lime green, but seriously - those colors are not "in" this year (or last year) and it's been impossible to find anything to coordinate for my Goofy theme. I am a bit bummed about it. I can always make my own - but I am truly OUT OF TIME for this trip, so I will have to make due. I do have a tunic length royal blue top, but I was really hoping to wear that one with my Donald theme. :scratchin So, we'll see??? I guess it depends on weather too... That's what I love about most of my current themes right now - they are all really good for any park, so I can interchange them however I feel like dressing for that day or how appropriate they are for the weather.

So...

Allison is doing great... I have her off of the heavy meds, and just alternating regular Tylenol and Ibuprofen every 4 hours instead of every 3... I think we will stick with the every 4 hours today and maybe try every 5 or 6 tomorrow? She is able to eat a little bit more solid foods... Yesterday we stopped at BFF's house and she had made a big batch of chicken noodle soup with leftovers to send home for Allison (super sweet of her!)... She specifically cut everything up really small and used noodles that Allison really didn't have to chew.... And this went over very well for her. For dinner tonight - I am going to make a hot-dish with soft noodles - which is about the same consistency as the soup was, so hopefully she will be able to eat it. :scratchin I'd like to get some good meals into her. Again - thank you for all of your prayers and concern for her!

I was able to do the last of my laundry for the trip yesterday, and I am totally packed except for last minute make-up items, which I will pack the morning of. I re-looked (I know, not a word) at our flight info yesterday... And we leave an hour earlier than I thought we did... Ummmm.... So, that means we have to leave our house at 2:30 am (which means I'll have to be in bed early and up by 1am at the latest)... Hahahaha.... That will NOT make Josh happy. I sent him a text reminder yesterday, so he can mentally prepare for this. ::yes::

If you haven't guessed - without giving out too specific of info... We have already had our :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Single Digit Dance Day!!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Our trip is getting so close!!!!

I found out yesterday that 2 of Allison's best friends will be in WDW at the same time as we are. I need to send the mom a message to find out specifics... I have no idea which resort they are staying at or what their plans are... :scratchin Even though this is an "us" trip - it might be fun to meet up with them for lunch one day, a ride or something, if we can make it work.

Soooo... Today....

I don't have much on my agenda....

I need to finish last week's custom order.

I need to do the rest of my laundry that isn't trip related.

I plan to clean the house.

And to be honest - just be a little lazy. It's very, very, very cold here now - we are in wind chill advisories... So, I really have no desire to leave the house. As a matter of fact, if it wasn't for having to let the dogs out - I wouldn't go out at all. ::yes::

Our upcoming few days are a little crazy... Allison has all of her finals to do at school. Plus she works every night. We have hair appointments & nail appointments to do. I still need to organize my trip $$ and pay off my town car reservation, which I will do tomorrow probably.

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday! Prayers and good thoughts go out to all of you! :grouphug:

Your day sounds anything but lazy!!! Good luck with the last minute trip stuff!!! So exciting!

I'm so glad to hear Allison is doing great.
I can't believe you are leaving for WDW soon.
Crossing my fingers that Allison can eat as normal when you are at WDW.

Here it's not that cold today only 24,8ºF. That is normal winter temperature here. On Thursday when it was freezing 5ºF outside we lost the electric power for about 30 minutes. Since I can't heat the flat up with anything else besides electricity it gets cold inside when the power is gone for more than 1 hour. So I was very happy that the power wasn't gone for too long.

I can't believe this trip is finally here. Time sure is going fast. It would be nice for her to meet up with friends, but not to the point of rearranging too many plans. You two are going to have a ton of fun.

So glad to hear that Allison is healing quickly! I was a total wus when I had my wisdom teeth out - I actually stopped eating to the point that my Mom made me eat baby food!

:cheer2::banana::cool1: your trip is sooooooo close now! Weren't you JUST there :rotfl: Have a safe trip when you gals actually head to WDW!

In a few days - when I am completely packed, I'll show a picture of my brush set all packed up... It looks so cute in there.

Hee hee. I'll be waiting.

Oh no!!!! I hope you are feeling better soon!!!! And definitely feeling better in time for your trip and your race!!!! That is awful! Take good care and get lots of rest!

Thanks! I had to leave work early on Wednesday, but went in Thursday for awhile, then stayed home all day Friday. Not a good time to get the flu!!! It really messed up the last few runs that I had planned. I'm sure I'll be fine for the 10K on Saturday, but I am worried about the half on Sunday even more than I already would have been.

Believe it or not, it was actually a MAN who said that about me - and not a woman... He was literally pointing me out to his wife/female person with him, and he was quite loud about it - so it caused everyone at the bus stop to look at me. It was quite embarrassing, and I felt badly.

Wow, people can be horrible! Think of all the other ways he must behave in his own life and be glad you're not married or related to him. Yuck! I'm glad you've made peace with it now and have a new style you're even happier with. *hugs*

LOL

Ooooh! I didn't ask the question about this, but thanks for sharing this! I thought that the Sigma F80 brush was a lot more expensive than that, so I might just be getting that! I've heard great things about them! They have a 10% off coupon + free shipping that I saw! :)

I don't think that your outfit was obnoxious at all! I probably would have went up to you and asked where you got such a cute outfit! ;) People can be so nasty at times, even at Disneyland. :(

So glad that Allison is feeling better!! Hopefully she'll be back to 100% (or close to) before you leave!

Yay! for past single digit dancing day!! :)

Oh, I've got to get those Donald capris back to you! I keep forgetting them. I wish I could have worn them, but they were just too big for me too :(

I'm so excited for you for this trip. It is going to be such a great trip. I can't wait to hear all about HP land. You'll have to send me a picture of you two the day you go to Universal and I'll pass it along to Sara and tell her to keep an eye out for you.

Well, we are mostly packed too. I have a list of things that still need to go in the suitcases, so I don't forget anything. Been known to happen....

Spent most of the weekend putting the Christmas things away. That's always a sad time, but it is almost finished. Still have the outside lights to take down, but it rained most of the weekend, so it will have to wait until one day this week.

I also had to clean Shannon's room since she will be coming home while we are gone. Had to rearrange some furniture, so she can fit her things upstairs. Not quite finished with that job either. If only I didn't have to work this week. Not much longer!!!!!

Your day sounds anything but lazy!!! Good luck with the last minute trip stuff!!! So exciting!

Thanks! We are getting there. :)

She was doing better - but she woke really sore this morning, so we'll see. She went a lot longer during the night with out meds - so I am not sure if that's what it is, or if she has something going on. We'll re evaluate in a few hours.

Glad your power was back on quickly.

I can't believe this trip is finally here. Time sure is going fast. It would be nice for her to meet up with friends, but not to the point of rearranging too many plans. You two are going to have a ton of fun.

I know!!! We've been planning this one for so many years - it's hard to believe it's finally here! Yes - no plans to rearrange plans, LOL - if we can make it work, we will, otherwise - we'll just do our own thing. ::yes::

So glad to hear that Allison is healing quickly! I was a total wus when I had my wisdom teeth out - I actually stopped eating to the point that my Mom made me eat baby food!

your trip is sooooooo close now! Weren't you JUST there Have a safe trip when you gals actually head to WDW!

Yikes!!!! Well she is in a lot of pain this morning - but she went all night long with out meds, so we will reevaluate in a few hours. Hopefully it's just pain and nothing serious. I am soooo nervous that something will happen.

Thank you! Yes - I do feel like I was JUST there, I've never had 2 trips so close together - so this is very strange for me.

Hee hee. I'll be waiting.

I am sure you will do great! I just hope you are feeling better by then.

True... Yah - I think I am pretty much over it... I do really like my new style much better anyways - not as much work for me. LOL

No - it really isn't that expensive... Considering that - unlike other make up - it really doesn't run out. ::yes:: Yes - it does seem like they do run good discount codes every once in a while. :thumbsup2

Thanks! LOL I know - most people are nice though.... but the meanies do come out - and they do come out pretty fiercely there, just due to circumstances.

I hope so - I am a little nervous because she woke up in a lot of pain this morning - not sure if it's because she hadn't had any meds in about 9 hours? Or if something is going on... I will reevaluate in a while here to see if we need to go in.

Oh, I've got to get those Donald capris back to you! I keep forgetting them. I wish I could have worn them, but they were just too big for me too

No worries - honest... They don't fit me, so I am really in no hurry to get them back. Just the next time you mail something to me/see me- bring them along. :thumbsup2

I am very excited... I did A LOT of HP research again last night - and I do think we have a game plan? At least a small one. ::yes:: I am super excited to spend this time with her!

Well, we are mostly packed too. I have a list of things that still need to go in the suitcases, so I don't forget anything. Been known to happen....

Yay!!!! I know - I think I have everything in my suitcase, except for my shower cap - -I always leave that until the last minute, in case I need it. And of course - my make up in the morning... But I will get that all sorted soon here, so I can just grab it and go. :thumbsup2 I have travel sizes of everything else - so I don't need to pack any of my hair product or anything like that.

Our tree is still up - sigh - but it is bare. I took all of the ornaments off of it last week, just waiting on Josh to take off the lights and haul it out to the fire pit. Not sure when he is planning to do that?

My next few days are pretty crazy... I have lists everywhere. I really need to combine them. LOL

Looking forward to meeting up with you again Tess - and excited that you finally get to meet one of my girls. :lovestruc

********************************************************************************************************

Ok - so yesterday... Well, I finished my custom order - so that's good right? LOL That's about all I accomplished.

Otherwise - I was super lazy all day... I managed to take a nice long nap under my electric blankie - and it was sooooo nice! :lovestruc

I did a LOT of Universal Studios Harry Potter research... I've come to the conclusion that I don't have nearly enough spending $$ for there - but what I have will have to do.

Allison woke up in a lot of pain this morning... Sigh. I am not sure if it's because she hadn't had a med dose in almost 9 hours? Or if something is going on? I medicated her and sent her back to bed, for the time being... I will reevaluate her in another hour or so. She cannot afford to miss anymore school right now... Even though she is a great student - this is the week she is making up most of her finals, so by missing school ,she may fall behind. So, hopefully she is feeling better in a little while and I can send her in to school late. Fingers crossed. Otherwise - we may be making a trip to the oral surgeon to have her rechecked?

Provided I don't have to do any Dr. visits with Allison...

I will be working out this morning.

I have a custom order I'd like to get started on, but officially I don't have anything scheduled this week. So - I will work for a little while this morning.

I didn't get to my laundry yesterday - so I really should get started on that today. I don't have that much, but I don't want to have a pile when I get home either.

That's about all.

I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers and good thoughts go out to all of you!

D~

I hope Allison is feeling better and doesn't have to go back to the doctor...praying that it's just that she went so long without meds during the night. The first few nights after my surgery that I didn't take my meds round the clock I really noticed in the morning that my pain was significant. So perhaps that's it...? Hugs to both of you!

I'm so excited that your trip is coming up so soon ... and jealous and wishing I could stow away in your luggage! I found out that I'm getting a year-end bonus at work and I thought for about 0.00005 seconds about doing a quick solo trip, but I just can't go without my girls. My husband can stay home -- he doesn't love Disney the way the girls and I do and he'd be perfectly happy to stay home...I think next time we go home to Georgia for Christmas we're going to have to figure out a way to squeeze in a trip to WDW for a MVMCP.... :-)

Allison is a trooper. and I know she will be OK for the trip!!! RIGHT?!?!

You need a bigger suitcase. seriously. i know how you pack. or get two. I was actually thinking about getting one just for our bathroom stuff lotions, shampoo, conditioner stuff.. ya know?
