So glad Allison is doing well! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. I need to start packing for my trip in 20 days.
Thanks! Yes - she seems to be doing pretty well. Yes - you do!!!! Get on that! (I should talk... LOL)
So glad to hear that Allison is doing well and loved the video and your "flawless skin"....glad you are able to save that FOREVER.
LOL - That was my favorite one of the day.
Wow, I am impressed she was able to eat the beef from Arbys. That is great news. Seems like you have it all under control.
Marissa is taking a 32 hour sewing class through her school's craft center. I may need recommendations on sewing machines I should be on the look out for. I have a cheapy plastic Singer (
Walmart low end model). She is so excited to learn how to sew.
She has applied to study abroad next year in Japan. She chose a school in Tokyo, I think mainly because they have a Disney Club. They all have Annual Passes (that are a lot more expensive than the US annual passes) and they go hang out at
Disneyland Tokyo. They have a couple of different Annual Passes though. One works just on the weekends after like 2 pm. Then there is one for the weekdays that works after 4 pm. She is looking into those. So, your bags most likely will be seen in Tokyo Disney next year.
Yes - she was starving and we were trying to find somewhere soft she could eat... The just cut it really small and pretty much swallowed it whole.
Exciting for her!!!! Well, I am sure the machine she has will get her through her lessons, but she may find it tough to get through some seams?

I always (always) recommend a vintage machine... They have power and the ability to go through seams that machines these days (even in the very, very high price bracket) just cannot compare with. Usually - anything 1970 and older is considered "vintage" - that was when manufacturers started using plastic parts. Best of luck to Marissa - I hope she enjoys it!!!
Oooh - that is even more exciting!!!! I cannot wait to hear if she gets accepted for this!
So glad Allison is doing well after her surgery. Being the bad mom I am, my oldest (22) scheduled his wisdom teeth to be taken out on the first day of our Disney trip. Oops. Luckily one of his friends could take him and bring him to his apartment (he's in medical school and living about 40 minutes from us, so really is out on his own). It went well, but he did have a slight complication later, which was easily fixed. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing for Allison!
Would you do me a favor--I saw you had posted on the SOG resort thread. Someone mentioned that SOG has a refillable mug, which they said cost $6.95. Would you please find out if they still offer that. I'd like a firm confirmation on it. I'm thinking of a surprise birthday trip for DS2 and I in May and SOG is having a room only discount. DS2 wants to stay at SOG, but he also enjoys that Disney rapid refill mug. If SoG does it also, that would just be a nice bonus!
I'm looking forward to your TR on your SoG visit--I love your Disney TR's (and pre TR's too!)
Yikes!!!! Glad to hear that your DS's surgery went well, and he made it through is complication ok.
I will look into it - I wonder where I would find it... Have you heard which restaurant it's refillable at?
Thanks - I am really looking forward to telling about it! Just be prepared for lots of 'selfies' - since it will just be Allison and I most of the time.
So happy to hear that Allison is doing well. I hope she recovers quickly and will be able to eat (somewhat) normally in WDW.
Yes - it's such a relief! So far, so good.

I hope so too... I think she may need to be a little careful and conscious of it - but I think for the most part, she should be OK. We are just very lucky that this happened when it did, and not next week - or while we were gone.
Hi D! I haven't checked in in a couple of days and I can't believe the whirlwind you've gone through. Poor Allison. An infected tooth is no joke. So glad you were able to get her in quickly. I'm so glad she's on the mends. She should be feeling better soon. I had my wisdom teeth out and the next day went and cheered at a football game. I was a sophomore in high school and pretty stupid. I lasted until halftime and then had to go home. I was back at school on a Monday and they were taken out on a Friday. My mom is a dental hygienist so no sympathy there. Prayers for a swift recovery. Sounds like she's got a great mom nurse to help her.
Yes - it's been a little chaotic lately. LOL I was a little shocked, while we were at the dentist, that they were searching frantically for an oral surgeon who could get her in
that day - I wasn't expecting that, when we walked in there. But I am thankful that they were able to find someone who had an opening - and who didn't charge us an "emergency rate".
I bet you were a little tuckered out and sore after that. I am noticing that Allison still tires pretty quickly - I am much the same way after coming out of anesthesia - It's almost as if I don't fully "wake up" until a few days later? Strangest thing - or my body is just traumatized by the experience? LOL
So I was 11 PAGES behind on your PTR but I'm finally caught up.
I'm so glad Allison is going well and those videos cracked me up!! Sounds like she'll be in good shape for your trip.
I can't believe someone called you obnoxious! That's so rude and I'm sorry it happened

I don't know why people have to be like that.
Your trip is getting so close now. I'm so excited for you guys!!!
WOW!!! Thanks for taking the time to catch up - that means a lot to me.
Yes - I am relieved she is doing well... I don't think I will breathe too easily until Mon or Tues next week - then the chances of dry socket drop dramatically... Fingers crossed - I know she is very worried about that.
Yah - I'll post a picture of what I was wearing that day... It's OK - but it really made me rethink my outfits and what I wear. It's OK to have fun - and to each their own definitely - but I try to tone it down a little bit. LOL
We are getting very excited!
It is great to hear that Allison is feeling pretty good!
Ooh more leggings - looking forward to seeing the finished product!
Yes - it's such a relief to us - I think it's due mostly to my insistence of being right on time with meds?
Hahaha - yes I did finish them... Sigh, but I NEED a long tunic length shirt for this one - and the ONLY thing I am finding out there right now is black - sigh... I like black n' all, but I am afraid that I will be wearing a different black tunic length shirt every day - and that will get really old after a few days.

For that matter - I have 2 identical black tunic length shirts - and I honestly need to wear both of them. LOL I wish there was something I could do to make them look different?
I'm a makeup junkie myself so I was trying to figure out what brand foundation you used from Allison talking about the different numbers.
Wow, that had to hurt terribly.

Hurting someone's feelings is much more obnoxious to me than the way someone is dressed.
Have a great weekend and I'm hoping Allison will be able to enjoy all of the things she wants to eat at Disney.
OK - LOL Here is goes... You asked. I really don't do much special, to be honest... I just wash my face in the shower - the girls and I all use Cetaphil face cleanser, because we all have really sensitive skin. And I apply Cetaphil face moisturizer - I've tried many brands, but like I said - we have super sensitive skin, and this is the only one we can use that doesn't burn us. For foundation, I used Avon BB cream - I have 2 shades (light and light medium) which I mix according to the color of my skin - at the moment, I am using more light than light medium, I also have a MAC foundation I use - once in a great while - I don't use it often because I honestly like the Avon BB cream better, and the MAC foundation is expensive. The biggest trick I've found - is that I apply my foundation with a brush... The girls and I each have our own foundation brushes - the F80 Sigma brush - this thing is GOLD, and I am not kidding! I never knew that a brush could make all the difference in the world! Even more exciting is that Sigma is a local MN company!

I find that it really doesn't matter which foundation I use, as long as I apply it with the brush.
http://www.sigmabeauty.com/f80-flatkabuki/p/F80PARNT I would not be able to live without this! I also found that consealer is super important - I've tried many brands, and I have yet to find one I really don't like... Right now I am using a Loreal sponge tip applicator one - in the lightest shade... For under my eyes, around my nose and other random spots I might need it.
After discovering my above brush - I kind of became a "brush snob" - and always searching for a deal, I decided to splurge on a nice set of brushes - they are super expensive, but honestly worth their weight in gold. I purchased this set, because it's a travel set and cheaper - and I love it - really the best deal out there... Oooh - super jealous - right now they have this one on sale, it's exactly like mine, but mine is a different color... This is a SUPER good deal - I am tempted to buy the girls their own set now!!!!
http://www.sigmabeauty.com/travel-kit-make-me-crazy/p/TKPUR-1 So - I use all of these brushes on a daily basis, the only brush this set does not come with is the F80 mentioned above. The best part, is that these come in a cute little travel container (and you can fit the F80 in there along with all of these brushes). It's an awesome set - and I cannot believe it's on sale!!!
OK - more make up... LOL For highlighting/contouring - I use this set...

The girls and I have managed to "gather" these eye sets over the last 2 years... These are just the best and I love them so much!!! There are infinite ways to use these - and I love how natural they look. I have yet to find any eye sets that go on as nicely as these ones do... They are expensive, but I always have a coupon when I buy them - and a couple of these palettes we've had for almost 2 years - with 3 of us using them every day - they last a LONG time! So, during the video - when Allison was asking "Which Naked palette did you use today?" She was referring to these.
For Allison's "wings" (not sure what she uses) and my eye liner (I just use the darkest eye shadow in the above sets as eye liner) - we use Sigma brush E65... This brush also fits in the travel container above. Aside from the travel brush set - these are the only 2 brushes we use outside of that.
http://www.sigmabeauty.com/e65-small-angle/p/E65PARNT
I always dust over the top of everything with this - the powder I use is loose - this one looks to be pressed?
http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod12011173
For eye brows - I am not as big into eyebrows as Allison is, I cannot do the "big brows"... So, I just use this to accentuate what I already have...
http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod5770325
Mascara, I use Maybelline Great Lash in black/brown for my lashes as my "base layer" - then when that dries, I do the tips of my lashes in black:
http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod3460265
Lip gloss, I use this most of the time (color: Naked) - I don't carry it around with me though, because it's expensive and I don't want to lose it, so I usually apply at home...
http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod6371230 Then in my bag - I carry this to refresh... Loreal color: Dulce de Leche 825
http://www.target.com/p/l-oreal-par...l-lip-gloss/-/A-13717215#prodSlot=medium_1_10
Then, when I am all finished - I do a few sprays of this, and I am done...
http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod4930051
I purchase many of the above items in "travel sizes" - I find that they last me a really long time (even with the girls mooching off of my stuff) and it's a little less expense at one time - and really, by the time I am done with the travel sized stuff - it's time to get new stuff anyways, as makeup doesn't last forever.
Aren't you glad you asked? LOL I guess - my makeup regime is a bit over the top... But it's amazing the difference it makes in my over all appearance and self-esteem. Granted - I don't do this full-on make up every day, but I do definitely do it every day in Disney - because I go with the intention of being in sooooo many pictures, and I notice a huge difference in how they turn out.
Phew... So - at the end of all of this... My biggest recommendation is getting the F80 and one of the sale travel brush sets, if you can - but the F80 is the most important.

Sorry it was such a long reply... LOL
***************************************************************************************************
OK - so... Yesterday....
I worked out - so that is good.
I had every intention of working in my sewing room - but that didn't happen. Sadly.
Allison and I had to drop off V's math folder at school before her 10:30am class - so we had to rush out the door much earlier than I would have liked.
Allison posted this picture of us on FB... She can't smile and she is a bit swollen, but overall looks great!
We were hungry - and since Allison is so limited right now on what she can eat - we landed at a restaurant that we don't normally frequent... Noodles & Co... Um-yah. It was OK, not my favorite - but it was good, and I was glad that Allison was able to eat something.
After - we went to the outlet mall... Allison tried on a bazillion jeans at American Eagle... Found one pair that she settled with - they didn't fit her the way she wanted them to, but they were better than nothing.
We decided to try the AE at the MOA... So we headed up there and we were glad we did. She immediately found 2 pairs of jeans that fit her really well and she really liked. So, she returned the first pair and purchased the other 2. Now she is set for the trip.
By that time - it was time to pick V up from school, so we swung that direction, grabbed her and came home. Then we all vegged the rest of the night.
NOT.
Hahahaha....
Guess who finally started packing???? Both Allison and I!
Here's my mess:
I still have 1 more pair of crop leggings to wash and pack, and a couple of minor things to add... but for the most part, I am packed. My suitcase barely zipped, and weighed in at 48 lbs!

Praying I don't need to bring anything home.

The only items on my wish list for souvies this trip are a new Vera Bradely Perfect Petals Hipster (mine is totally shot - I wear it every day) and a 2016 Alex and Ani bracelet to add to my collection. I'll probably find a tee shirt too - or something like that which I can't live without... but hopefully I can keep it to a minimum.
I really should take a picture with all of it in there - it looks really nice now.
Soooo.... today....
I am working. I must. I need to finish this week's custom order.
Then Allison has one more thing she needs for our trip - so we need to run out and grab that. Hopefully it won't take too long?
Then we will be home and resting for the remainder of the day.
Oh - I wanted to post a picture of what I was wearing the day the person at the FQ bus stop called me "obnoxious"... Yah... I don't think I was that bad? And I love these capris - sadly they don't fit me anymore, but they were fun and cute...
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! Prayers and good thoughts to all of you!
D~
