Uh, did I see you say you may have a resort? You can't say something like that and then not share the news!

I love the calendar; I need to start going around to HD and taking some Mickey Heads. We'll make one for us and one for my mom's daycare kids to help her with every day!

And what a sweet idea with your mom's daycare kids. I didn't know she did daycare. What a great job that must be.

Controversy over CBR? Hm; that's where we used to stay all the time when I was younger and we LOVED it. Maybe it has gone down hill or something? But, I sure hope not! You will have to make sure to let me know what it's like now! We loved all of it back then, though - the beach areas, the pool, the food court, the rooms, etc.

There is quite the competition between CBR and CSR!

Glad to hear you loved it though!! I will definitely be adding our June TR to the end of our May TR so I will let you know all about it. When was the last time you stayed there?

Sorry to hear you got overwhelmed w/ all the rental codes...it can be a bit much. I'm totally into that kind of thing though, so I loved it. I'm glad you got a good deal on the car on Priceline. I'll have to keep an eye out over there for August.

We stopped by CSR just to check it out in July and while it was a pretty resort, it was wasn't "us". We ate lunch at the Pepper Market and wandered the grounds so I think we got a pretty good feel for it. I'm sure it's perfect for a lot of families but I prefer the Port Orleans resorts.

Mike and I stayed at CBR several years ago and we really liked it. I'm sure you and your dad will love it too! Did you get a pirate room? That would be fun!!!

No, we didn't get a pirate room. I would have loved that but there weren't any left with the 4/3 deal. I'm going to check back a few times before we leave to see if one opens up though. They look so fun!

I know, I've been planning like mad! And you're right, I don't think there is a bad resort on Disney property. I would be happy anywhere (well except for a tent at FW I'm not an outdoorsy girl LOL). I'm sure we'll have a great time regardless of the resort.

Yeah, I can be easily overwhelmed. You sure did an amazing job pricing out all the codes and companies though, oh my gosh!

The thing I like about Priceline is that you can name your own price... although I don't really like how you can't choose the company. We ended up with Hertz which was okay but I would have preferred a company with an in terminal rental site but oh well!

I know!! 45 more days as of today. I am so so so super excited! I can't believe how fast it's coming up. I honestly think about the trip so often that I'm going to be 100x more productive once it's over.

Uh oh. I just bought something else for our Disney trips.

I was checking out Enchanted's PTR and saw her new Vera Bradley bag and all I could think of was all you DISers whose PTRs I'm reading and it seems like everyone has one! I think they are so cute. So I went to the VB website and saw all the full price bags... nope, a little too expensive for me right now.

I went to Ebay and found a "Buy it Now" mini hipster in Capri Blue for only $18.99. It's missing the little ribbon things on the zippers but other than that it's brand new and the seller has 100% positive feedback. I convinced my mom to let me use her account (since I don't have one) and... the purchase just went through.

So I am now the soon to be owner of this little beauty:

It seems perfect for the parks and will match nicely with most of my outfits! I'm thrilled with the price, too. Under $20!

Also, I found a discount code for ViaRail so I just bought a round trip train ticket to go visit my friend at university this weekend coming up. I haven't seen her in a while so I'm really excited for the trip. The train ticket was still $100 which was as bit of sticker shock for me, but I'm sure it will be worth it. She goes to school in Kingston, Ontario (Queen's University) which is really pretty with a gorgeous campus... so of course I'll be bringing my camera with me!

I've got a pretty busy week. We're leaving soon to drop my cousin off at the airport for her flight. Tomorrow I have the funeral to go to and then a shift at the hospital in the evening. Wednesday I have off and then Thursday I have two shifts at the hospital and then Disney on Ice in the evening. Friday I'm off to Kingston! Plus I have to get all my tuition forms and everything ready for tax returns... figure out my course requirements for next semester... work out my summer work/volunteer schedule for April 1... lots to do! Whew!

OH! But a little bit more good Disney news! I secured an ADR on May 8 for Chefs de France at 1:30 to see Remy's appearance. Thanks you, Lady Lallie!

Aw Remy is so cute!!!

I know... he is one of my favourite animated (or computer generated or whatever LOL) characters and he looks perfect in real life. At first I thought Remy was going to be a fully costumed character like Mickey or something and was disappointed when I found out he wasn't... but I like this Remy just as much! He is adorable.



I do have a confessional update to make. I ordered another VB mini hipster. I was all bummed out that mine didn't have the ribbons so I was looking around Ebay and I found an auction with only 4 minutes to go and it was $25 for a mini hipster AND wallet. Of course... I could not resist. So I now have these:

I'm justifying it by reminding myself that my DM has been wearing a fanny pack for the past few trips... and she really does deserve better! So we can share them. And also... I needed a pink one, right? So now no matter I'm wearing, I have my colour palettes mostly covered. These are pictures I will be keeping forever! I must have the proper Hipster, right?

Okay. That's it. I am placing a strict moratorium on my shopping from now until our departure date. I do not need anything else. Therefore I will not buy anything else. I have school to pay for. NO MORE CLOTHING, SHOES OR BAGS.

Either that or need to send my credit card to one of you guys for safekeeping LOL.

And going back to what I've missed:

You booked CBR! You will it there! I think it's our favorite mod. We also like CSR, but CBR just seems more Disney to us. We haven't been back since they added the Pirate pool or redecorated the rooms so you'll have to take lots and lots of pics for me! Waking up to that every morning was so amazing, I can't even tell you.

Oooh, and Chefs de France! Why have I not heard about this "visit with Remy" thing? How CUTE! I love Remy! We really enjoyed our Chefs de France meal. We had a run-in with another guest that resulted in security having to come (LONG story involving a jerk pulling pranks on guests and videotaping it. He got my brother, who feared being put on YouTube, and a custody battle over a videotape ensued... ), and since we missed our ADR at Biergarten, the security guard "pulled some strings" and got us one at Chefs. The manager came out to greet us and take us to our table, and the staff brought out a cake and sang "Happy Anniversary" to my aunt and uncle (who were celebrating their 25th!) in French. The food was great! I had heard some not-so-great things about it here on the DIS, but I thought it was divine! You'll have so much fun there!

Have fun with your friend this weekend, and I hope you get everything you need to get done this week accomplished! I know all about busy weeks and not having enough hours in the day.

So many updates since I last posted!

CONGRATS on the June bonus trip! That's just awesome. Time with your Mom and then with your Dad. You're so lucky!

We had booked CBR for our May trip originally, but changed to the Poly when the Buy 4/Get 3 deal came out. It's still on our list of resorts we want to stay at some day. I've heard great things about it.

The VB bags are so cute! I'm not one for most patterns, but the VB is done so well & her designs are always really cute!

You should really enjoy your dinner with Remy! I'd not heard about him before. I'm glad I didn't make an ADR for Chefs like I'd planned at first, DD is completely freaked out by animated mice/rats! If she'd seen him, she would have lost her appetite. She wouldn't watch Ratatouille or Tale of Despereaux with me - said it would give her nightmares. For some reason, this fear does not apply to Mickey or Minnie! I love Remy & Ratatouille personally. I'm sure you'll have a great dinner!

Have fun on your trip to see your friend. I think train trips are always fun and visiting friends is a great reason to take one.

Hi! That is really sweet - I just have a site, that is it - but I saw Remy in the window when I passed by (I knew he was there) and figured I'd have a meal and get the pics/video to share with everyone.

I love Ratatouille too! And I recommend the vegetable lasagne, not too expensive and very tasty. Thank you for enjoying my photos and I hope you have a wonderful trip!

PLEASE, PLEASE. PLEASE let me know your opinion about Remy when you get back! I've been debating cancelling Le Cellier to do that one now that he's there, but I just don't know. The videos I've seen haven't been great enough to completely change my mind. I'm relying on you to help me decide!
