For whenever you get back..

Are you going straight to San Antonio?? I'm in Dallas; you should totally stop by!!

I never made it to San Antonio when I lived in TX (or South Oklahoma, as Hank Hill called Wichita Falls), but we made it to Dallas a few times. I *love* that mall downtown. 'S nice! And Dallas is crazy cheap. You can get more house for less $$ there than you can in Myrtle Beach.

Oh my gosh! I'm sorry I missed this yesterday (was at church). Prayers going up now for you & your family!

Oh, I am so sorry! You and your family are in my prayers.

I'm so sorry. Don't worry about us, just take care of yourself and your family!

lots of hugs and prayers for you and your family. im so very sorry for the loss of a loved one. you know your DIS friends are here if you need anything! :

I'm so, so sorry about your loss. I would give you a big hug if I could. I'll say a prayer for you right now. God can heal even the deepest wounds. Please don't feel like you have to post an update any time soon--you need to just wait until you feel like you're ready. My heart hurts for you. I'll keep you in my prayers.

 I'm so sorry for your loss. May it help to comfort you that we deeply share your sorrow, and are thinking of and praying for you and your family.

You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you so, so much everyone. Your thoughts and prayers really do mean so much to me and my whole family.:grouphug: I have the best DISfriends.:lovestruc We're all doing okay and it was an expected passing but not without sadness. Back to all of you!

Before I read your latest post, I just wanted to say :cheer2: YAY FOR COMING TO TEXAS!!! :cheer2: I'm from OK, but I lived in TX for 3 years and loved it! Also, my DH was born and raised in San Antonio. I absolutely love that city. I can't wait to hear what you think about it!

My dad went there a few years ago on business and still raves about it! It will be my first trip to Texas so I'm really excited.:goodvibes Especially since there are so many of you DIS members from Texas I will finally feel like part of the club.

For whenever you get back..

Are you going straight to San Antonio?? I'm in Dallas; you should totally stop by!!

Aww yeah we are flying straight to San Antonio.:sad1: How far is Dallas from San Antonio? I don't know a lot about Texan geography.

Ahhhh cheap housing.:cloud9: I can only dream about it. Housing here in Toronto is cuh-razy. :scared1: In my neighbourhood at least, the housing market hasn't even affected anything. Prices are still climbing! I have a feeling that when I move out I won't be living in the city because I couldn't afford it if it keeps going like it is.

Again, thank you thank you thank you to all of you.:grouphug: You are all lovely, wonderful people.:goodvibes

Hi! :goodvibes Glad to hear you and your family are all doing okay.

Dallas is about 4-5 hours north of San Antonio... which is tragic because I live only about 3 hours east of Dallas... what a great DIS Meet opportunity! :cutie: Driving directly to San Antonio from Shreveport, LA (where I am) is about 7 hours I believe. I haven't been to San Antonio in so long because if I'm going to drive 7 hours in the car I would rather go ahead and drive 8 and go to Pensacola, FL ... my fave vacation spot after WDW. :cloud9:

Guess what? It's UPDATE TIME!:woohoo:

First of all, I have to start off with the fact that I only have

50 MORE DAYS!!!!!!
:maleficen :ccat: :simba: :donald: :stitch: :dumbo: :sulley: :tigger: :figment: :goofy: :hmghost:

until Disney!:dance3:

I can't believe how fast time is going by. Tomorrow we'll be in the 40s! Woo hoo!!!! I feel like I still have so much to plan.:scared1:

My list so far:

1. Call and book Magical Express (I know... I STILL haven't done it!)
2. Book Keys to the Kingdom Tour
3. Figure out the room request
4. Book Photopass photo session
5. Paypal Photopass $$$ to Wendy!!!
6. Buy waterproof disposable camera for water parks

And probably more I haven't even though of yet.

I have, however, put together the outfit for our photo session! My mom has the same shirt and very similar shorts so this is what I came up with:

The shirt looks weird here but you can see better pictures in the December photoshoot pictures on the first page. Here is a blurrier close up:

I don't know if you can tell but it's all glittery.

Our house is fairly crazy right now... we are having the basement finished and I just picked up a few extra hours at the hospital (which I LOVE, I get to do some animal therapy stuff now and it is amazing:goodvibes ) My cousin is flying in this weekend from Alberta so I'm excited to see her. I love family time. She's a nurse out there so we don't get to see her that often. So that will be fun, plus my mom is getting ready to put her new book to print so I've been proofreading millions of things for her as well. Apparently I am a little... ruthless.:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I'm getting pretty excited for Disney on Ice next week though!! I still have to watch Cars before we go. I'm thinking of renting it tomorrow night from the video store. Hope it's a good one!

I love your outfit! I remember the shirt from your pics. I think that will be really cute for you and your mom.

I really enjoyed the Cars movie. I know my nephew loves it almost as much as WallE! :goodvibes He was given the option to do Little Einsteins, Mickey Mouse, Walle, or Cars birthday party and he chose Cars. (He is turning 3;) )
Anyway, I hope you like it!

It is nice that you have so much to look forward to! Disney on Ice, your cousin visiting, and of course only 50 days til Disney! :dance3: My family is super close, so I know whatcha mean about family time.

I will be very excited to see how your Keys to the Kingdom Tour goes. I don't know much about it. Can't wait for your TR! :woohoo:

Aw That Minnie shirt is so cute!!

You will love Cars! It's one of my B/F's favorites!

I can't believe you only have 50 more days!

Glad to hear you and your family are getting through this difficult time! I'm also glad to see you back on the DIS, we've missed you!!:lovestruc

50 Days....WOO HOOTY, Shake your BOOTY!!:dancer:

I love the Minnie shirt! I need to figure out what we'll be wearing for our photo shoot too!

Is your mom a writer? That's so interesting, what is her genre?

I love the outfit. So very cute and sparkly!

50 Days!?! Wow. I can't believe, time is flying by lately.

Your mom is a writer? What kinds of books does she write? That is so neat!

I'm glad you all are doing better. It sounds like you have a very, very close family, and I'm sure that really helps in times like these!

:jumping1: YOU'RE AT 49 DAYS!!!!!! :jumping1:

And I really like your outfit!

Hey, girlie! Glad you're back! I'm glad to hear your family is doing well.

:woohoo: JUST 49 MORE DAYS!!!! :woohoo: I'm so excited for you! I've never done the Keys to the Kingdom tour, and I can't wait to hear what you think of it. :goodvibes Plus Disney on Ice! :yay: I want to hear all about that too!

Your outfit is so cute! My mom has that same shirt! I love it, it's so sparkly and glittery! I might have stolen it from her a few times, but she doesn't need to know that. :rolleyes1 ;)

My family loves "Cars"! We watch it everytime it's on TV. My dad loves the "tipping tractors" scene with "Frank." He laughs so hard he cries every single time. :lmao: You'll understand when you watch, I'm sure.

And I didn't know your mom was a writer! How cool! :thumbsup2

It's a bit of a drive, so I don't think you'd be able to make it here unless you add some time on to your trip. Sad!

I love your shirt; I almost bought that!

Yep, I LOVE my family. I am lucky, lucky, lucky. We are really close and they mean more to me than anything else.:lovestruc

I can't wait for my TR either!! LOL:rotfl: I am so excited to write it! I'm going to bring my journal to WDW with me and make sure I don't miss a detail. I've heard good things about the tour so I hope it's as good as it sounds!

OMG I actually laughed out loud at the WOO HOOTY shake your BOOTY thing.:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Yep, she is a writer! She doesn't write fiction though, she write books and manuals for colleges and universities. My parents have a publishing company, my mom does the writing and my dad does the whole conference and workshop thing to market the books. My dad used to be a professor, so he considers this his "retirement" job. Although I think he's busier now than he ever was when he was working!

I love the outfit. So very cute and sparkly!

Thanks! I'm a huge Minnie fan so I love the shirt.

You're not many days behind me!!

I'll take lotsa pictures at Disney on Ice. I'm pumped!

I'll make sure I watch out for the "tipping tractors" scene.:goodvibes

I love your shirt; I almost bought that!

I actually almost didn't buy the shirt, but in December all t shirts were half off so I just had too!

And darn, I wish Dallas was closer to San Antonio.:sad1: Boo for geography.

Guess what, guys?

I have big news.

Big, exciting, fun, wonderful news.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Okay, so. As some of you might remember, I was supposed to help my father out at a conference in California this summer and we were planning on visiting Disneyland. However, the conference ended up getting moved and conflicting with my school year so the title of my PTR got changed to reflect just one trip.

 Well. It's not just one trip any longer!

It turns out my father has been selected to speak at a conference in June.

In Orlando.

:dance3:

You guys are following me, right? Well of course I begged him to let me come with, offering my assistance to work at the booth/exhibit while he was speaking, doing his administrative work for him etc. I just got the confirmation now and...I'm going!

The actual conference is from June 14-16 at the Marriott World Center resort just a few miles from Disney World. How could I possibly be just a few miles from Disney World and NOT pay a visit (or 5) to my favourite place on earth?? Luckily my dad had a great time in December so what we've decided to do is this: Buy a 6 days park pass. In the evenings after the conference is over (the last session is usually around 5pm), we'll drive to Disney and spend the evenings eating dinner at the parks/resorts and hitting up as many attractions as we can. Then, once the conference itself is over we're going to stay for 3 nights and go 100% Disney!!!!

Before heading to the DIS I started look at flights and as soon as I saw Southwest flights for $59 each way, I booked 'em fast! We're flying out on the 13th and home on the 19th. I am kind of in shock. I am SO excited.

So much to plan and it'll be a lot of work but absolutely worth it!!

Now I have to figure out a few late ADRs, where we're going to stay (well, for the last 3 nights. We're staying at the conference hotel during the conference) and stuff like that.

How's that for an update!?:cheer2:

Great, exciting news!!! Can't wait to hear what you decide to do resort and ADR wise for this trip!

That is such exciting, awesome news!! I am so happy for you!! Plus great score on the flights!! :thumbsup2

Aw man, I don't get to WDW until June 22nd! But that is SO exciting for you! :goodvibes

WOW, what an update!! I think that calls for another...

WOO HOOTY, Shake your BOOTY!!!!:cool1:

I can't believe your going to Disney twice!!! LUCKY!! I can't wait to here about your new plans!! Now you'll need to decide on more outfits!!!
