They'd Better Get Ready on the East Coast!! May 2009 **TR started on TR boards!!**

:cheer2: :cheer2: Oh, and for today's "If" question...:cheer2: :cheer2:

If you only had one day to spend at Disney, what would you do?

I started thinking about this because a friend of my DM is in Florida and going to Disney for one day out of her trip. I was trying to think of what to recommend for her to do to get the most out of the experience... and I thought it might make an interesting question.

Personally, I would head to Epcot in the morning and ride Soarin', Test Track, Mission Space and Spaceship Earth. Then for lunch I would head to the WS, take a quick tour and have a CS lunch at one of the countries (personally I would choose Morocco). After lunch I would head to the Magic Kingdom. Once there, I would hit:

Space Mountain
PhilharMagic
TTA
Peter Pan
Haunted Mansion
BTMRR
Splash Mountain
Jungle Cruise
Pirates

I would have dinner at one of the monorail resorts and then head back to MK for Wishes.

After Wishes, I would take the boat launch one of the MK resort bars and have drinks, relax and enjoy.:goodvibes

Not so much a Disney update but... I went shopping today and I had to share! I went to Winners with my cousin (it's a Canadian discount store... kind of like Marshalls/T.J Maxx I think?) and I got some awesome deals on some really cute clothes! I got all of the following for under $200.:cool1:

This picture is kind of dark, but the colours in the cardigan are navy and cream. It's Tommy Hilfiger.

A floaty, flowery top from Chenault? I've never heard of this brand before.

Sandals from Guess:

And more sandals from Steve Madden:

I needed some new spring/summer clothes anyway since a lot of my clothes from last season don't fit me anymore. These had such good prices so I just had to get them... and I think they're cute!

Also, I posted a picture a few days ago when it was warm here. We've got our snow back now! I'm hoping this was the last snow before spring.:goodvibes It's almost March, right? And there's not a lot so hopefully it will be gone again soon.:yay:

Great shopping finds!! I was just coming to your PTR to ask for more fashion and you posted right as I openned the thread! Perfect! That brown BCBG top would work well for AK. It would look good with your white shorts too!

Love the clothes you bought! I am so sick of snow too. I woke up to a light dusting this morning and I just wanted to stomp back inside and go back to bed. I am so over winter. :rotfl:

:cheer2: :cheer2: Oh, and for today's "If" question...:cheer2: :cheer2:

If you only had one day to spend at Disney, what would you do?

I think my day would be somewhat similar to yours. I would head over to Epcot in the morning and ride Soarin, Test Track, Nemo, and Spaceship Earth. We would head over to Le Cellier for lunch just as WS opens and take a brief stroll around the WS to walk off said lunch. :rotfl: After a bit of shopping and picture-taking around WS, we would take the monorail over to MK where we would ride the following in no particular order:

Haunted Mansion
Jungle Cruise
Pirates
Splash Mountain
BTMRR
IASW
Peter Pan
Pooh
Philharmagic
TTA
Space Mountain

At some point I would grab a Dole Whip. And of course, I would head to Main Street and watch Wishes from the middle of the street directly between Caseys and the Ice Cream Parlor (and Spectromagic too if I've gotten all my rides in!). After Wishes! I would shop around in the stores and sit around on Main Street, taking pictures and watching the castle's "kiss goodnight" until I was sure the bus and monorail crowds had dispersed. Then, I'd head back to my resort (because of COURSE I'm staying on property :rolleyes1 ) and sit by the pool in the moonlight with a drink and my family, and we'd recount the day's events before heading to bed. :cloud9:

It's supposed to snow here tomorrow. I'm so NOT looking forward to it. :snooty: I can't wait for warmer temps and all the sunshine I can handle!

LOVE the shopping finds, especially the BCBG top and the Tommy Hilfiger sweater. :yay: So cute! There's nothing better than a good, productive shopping trip! :cheer2:

I timed that just for you!;)

And good thinking with the brown top and white shorts! I'll post that tomorrow.:goodvibes

Ughhh I get the same way when I see snow. When it's actually snowing, I find it really pretty and peaceful... but once it's over and all the white stuff is just left behind it bums me out. I am SO a spring and summer girl. I hate winter.

OOoooh those are cute stuff you got!

Thanks, tinkgurl!!:goodvibes

Oooh I forgot about Spectromagic! I would definitely add that in.

Are you in Canada too? Sometimes I feel like the only Canadian on the boards.:rotfl:

And you're right, the shopping was really fun! Usually I HATE going to Winners because it is one of those stores you really have to dig and search through, but today I happened to stumble upon some cute things. I am quite an impatient shopper so I didn't even try them on until I got home, that is why the tags are still on LOL. But in my humble opinion, they look even better on!:goodvibes I think the green/blue one especially... it is a lot prettier in "real life".

Ok, so I get sick and go MIA for a couple days and miss so much! I won't get sick again, I promise!

I love the Tinkerbell top!! I have one that I'll be wearing, too!

And, LOVE the BCBG top! I am addicted to that clothing line, but I have to stay away right now. MUST.SAVE.FOR.DISNEY!

I forgot to answer yesterday's What If question! :scared1:

I think I would split my day between Magic Kingdom and Epcot. I would start in Magic Kingdom, hit up the rides and then head over to Epcot for lunch, ride soarin for sure and then head back to Magic Kingdom and see spectro and Wishes!

I actually live in southern Ohio, not Canada. Sorry! But hey, look at it this way, being the only Canadian just makes you even more special! :goodvibes

It sounds like we take similar shopping strategies. I never try anything on in the stores because the lighting and mirrors are usually terrible, and I end up in a terrible mood. :rolleyes1 I'm glad that your finds look even better on you than they do on the rack! That's awesome! :woohoo: I bet the green/blue one looks really pretty with your red hair. :thumbsup2

Ahhh have had a crazy busy weekend... will be back this evening with a proper update! I promise it'll be a good one.:goodvibes

And this is the first thing from BCBG I've owned. Usually it's too expensive but I can't believe how cheap I found it for. I think I'm going to go back to Winners soon and see what else they have from the line.:goodvibes

No worries! I think Magic Kingdom and Epcot are the two "Disney-est" parks too.:goodvibes

Exactly!! I HATE trying things on. It bums me out completely.:rotfl: I just grab things and go. It makes me a really speedy shopper too! I make really quick decisions... I guess I am sometimes a little TOO impulsive though haha!!

As promised... my update for the weekend!

I had a really fun weekend. Because it was Reading Week, almost all of my university friends were home. One of my best friends from my childhood came and stayed over Saturday night so she could take the train back to school today. We just hung out, watched TV, chatted, got takeout for dinner... it was really nice.

Today we woke up early-ish and went shopping downtown. We hit up Forever 21 and Zara where I bought these: (I know I've been buying a lot of clothes lately LOL but seriously, I own almost nothing that fits me!)

The shorts were only 9.95!!

She ended up leaving today around 5. It's so nice seeing old friends.:goodvibes

I also have a Disney outfit to post for today... as suggested by wlwilliams9, here is my AK outfit!!

IMG_0915.jpg

Now I'm waiting for the Barbara Walters Oscar special to start. One of my friends from the city is coming over and we're going to watch it together.

Only 68 more days until our trip!!! I can't believe how fast it's coming up. It feels like just yesterday I was excited because we had made it to the double digits. I'm trying to gather ideas for my TR already.

Tomorrow I'm going to call Disney and book our Magical Express service. Little things like that even make me happy. I can't wait to be on the bus, watching the video, en route to my favourite place in the world.:woohoo:

I :lovestruc all your finds! I think the brown shirt is very cute with the white shorts! And perfect for AK! Seems like your shopping trips were both well worth it! :goodvibes

Your new purchases look great! I love the brown shirt with the white shorts, looks nice together!! I'm glad you had a fun weekend.

I need to get shopping for me. I've bought a million things for Mike and Emily, but I always seem to put myself last. :sad2: I'm sure I'll make up for it when Ishop for me though!!:rotfl: I have 30 items in my oldnavy.com cart right now!!!

More shopping finds!!!!

I love the white top! Fabulous, my dear, just fabulous! And your AK outfit is perfect! My brothers always tease me because I wear something either a) tropical or b) that involves camo shorts or something to AK. They think it's too funny that I theme my wardrobe. But it's just because their boys. They just don't understand the importance of matching your surroundings so that you can rock out the photos! :rotfl2:

And I agree about the "little things" getting you excited! I decided that we're going to play a game in our hotel room on this trip (More about that in my PTR later...:rolleyes1), and I was just as excited about that as the trip itself. Good luck booking ME!

Love your new stuff! And your AK outfit looks great! I always try to get my clothes to fit the park of the day too! Or at least go well with the color scheme of the park, so the pics don't look off!

That will be great for AK! What shoes are you gonna wear with it?

Hmmm... you know, I haven't really given a lot of thought to shoes yet! I'm thinking maybe my new Guess sandals though?

Thanks! I'm glad I found something to go with the white shorts. Normally I'm really not a huge shopper... I just seem to buy things all at once.

You'll have to post all your new things on your PTR! The ones you bought Emily are too cute. I wish oldnavy.com shipped to Canada... I love browsing on there.:goodvibes Thanks for being my fashion advisor for this outfit!!

LOL I think it's great that you theme your wardrobe. You're right, the photos look so nice when you match your surrounding. Now I just have to start getting my mom to plan her outfits too so we don't clash.:rotfl:

Can't wait to hear about your game!

Thanks! I'm glad you like my AK outfit.:goodvibes It's so nice to get Disney fashion feedback from the DIS. Anyone else would think I was crazy LOL.:rotfl2:

I got out of work early because someone "fouled" the pool... so I'm taking this time to catch up on PTRs!:lmao:

I've figured out our 2nd AK outfit... I know most people only go to Animal Kingdom for one day, but I've got us scheduled to go for two. It is one of my favourite parks. I'm a huge animal person so I can spend hours just doing the walking trails! And then there's EE, Festival of the Lion King, Dinosaur, Kilimajaro Safaris... plus I have this strange love for Primeval Whirl. It's seriously one of my favourite rides in all of WDW! It was one of the first rides I've ever ridden at Disney.:goodvibes

I find Animal Kingdom to be one of the parks I like to slow down at and not feel rushed, so we have one full day at AK and then about half of a second day.

The Eyeore top is the last of the matching tops my DM and I have. This one is my least favourite so it took me a while to come up with some way to wear it... it was the shirt she picked out.;)

So here's the outfit:

IMG_0919.jpg

The lighting is weird but the shoes are the same colour as the belt in real life.

Thoughts? Is it a thumbs up or a thumbs down?:yay:
