They WILL kick you out of the parks after hours

Several years ago, my mom and I were at WDW for my birthday weekend. We were staying at POFQ, but we had dinner ressies at the old Concourse Steakhouse that used to be in the Contemporary. We took a bus to the MK, then hopped the monorail. It was a late ressie and we stayed for quite awhile. We didn't realize what time it was. We caught one of the last monorails of the night, and when we got over to the buses at the MK, we were the only ones left and no buses! We had to find someone to help us get a bus back to our resort. He called a bus and a few minutes later, a bus marked "special" showed up. He said he goes and picks up all the stragglers at the end of the night from the parks. He probably hates people like us! LOL!

When I was a CM, I worked in Innoventions. When Illuminations started, we would turn the doors off clean out little expo area and go to Innoventions East for our nightly wrap meeting. We were clocked out by 9:30. Didn't have to deal with tourist traffic because we left before they did.

Ah-Ha I thought I recognized you. I worked in that area. I am also going to guess that you didn't work in merchandise.

I worked in that area. So I know the innoventions people well. The ones who came outside, waved goodbye and left me all by my lonesome.

These cast members work hard and are ready to go home to their families at the end of the day. Guest who attempt to circumvent the parks rules do nothing but make these employees work much harder than necessary.

Just a thought anyone ever get "LEFT" in the park after they closed the gates? I'm not wanting to try this but just want to know if it has ever occured.

A few years ago my then four year old daughter and I had the trip of all trips to WDW. It was the first Daddy/Daughter trip of many to come. My daughter came up with a mantra... She said we were staying in the park until "they kick us out.". We did everything that day. A makeover at the BBB, lunch with Winnie, dinner with Cinderella...

At 1:15 we were still riding Splash Mountain. The park closed at 1:00! No one stopped us, they still let us ride. When we came off the ride a CM said my daughter looked tuckered out, could he give us a lift to the main gate. What he was really saying was, "Get out the park so I can go home." but they were very nice.

Not ready to call it a night we rode the monorail (up front) trip after trip until the driver warned us we better catch the bus to POP because there wouldn't be any more. I think we got back to the resort around 3:00. One of our best memories.

Nothing beats walking out of a closed MK after a MNSSHP. I wish I could bottle that feeling!
