They Don't Eat Hash Browns in Princessland - May 14 COMPLETE! 2/8 pg. 73

Have fun! There are five families I know who are going home this weekend and I am SO jealous. Between following you on Instragram and them with Facebook and texting, I'm going to have as much fun as I can being left behind...

I hope you and your parents have a great trip. :goodvibes It is nice to be able to catch the F&W and the beginning of the Christmas festivities. We were at F&W and I really liked the pulled pork sandwich at the Hawaii booth at F&W. But I was disappointed that the slush at the France booth was not as good as the pink one they had for Flower & Garden. That one was my favorite. :) I can't wait to read your next trip report. :thumbsup2

I love the title of your trip report. Disney really does need to add hashed browns to their breakfast menus. We had a delicious breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe, but it really needed hash browns instead of those awful breakfast potatoes. Then it would have been perfect.

Your meet and greets are always so much fun. I need to travel with some people who appreciate the value of meeting characters. I think it would be a lot of fun. We were at MNSSHP last month and never got to a single meet and greet. I was very disappointed. But our five year old grandson preferred the rides. Go figure. ;)

Fun updates, Danielle!

Totally jealous that you are at WDW RIGHT NOW! :goodvibes

Hope you have an amazing trip. Can't wait to read along on more adventures.

I've been so incredibly behind lately, but I'm finally all caught up. Looks like your 24 hour day is off to a great start. Love the Ariel disney bound. So cute! OMg that stuffed french toast.... LOVE IT!!!!!! Seriously, I haven't had it in years and I still dream about it!
Have an amazing trip! loving all the ig photos, that Figment hoodie is to die for! :figment:
Sending you a pm with my facebook link. one can never have enough dis-friends :earsgirl:

I've been watching the Facebook updates but just wanted to come here and officially say that I hope you're having an amazing trip!

The ONLY way I am caught up is because you are on another trip. :rotfl2:

Have a great time and eat some F&W for me since I missed this year. :(

See how happy she is?! Man, I just love her! She also told us that when we saw Jasmine, to make sure to tell her "tag, you're it!"

Too cute!

So fun that you got to get in on some CRT action thanks to a cancellation. Cynthia and I had breakfast there in May and I think we may have had the same Jasmine. All I remember was that those girls are super tiny. :rotfl:

What a fun breakfast and meet!

Oh - and even though I already know you are - HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!!!! :goodvibes

Yay! Hope you have an awesome trip and you know i'll be following along on both FB and IG!:cool1:

We did have a great time.

I hope you have a safe trip and an amazing time!!! Thankfully the weather should be perfect for you down here!!! :hyper:

Thanks! The weather was really perfect, I was so happy.

Have a GREAT trip!!:cheer2:

Thanks, we did!

Have a great trip and travel safe!

I don't worry about Twitter - there are way to many things to keep up with, between FB posting, and tweeting, and vining, and graming (or whatever it is called) - I think picking one or 2 is more than sufficient ;)

Ugh, right? Too many things to worry about. I'm okay with FB and Instagram at the moment.

Danielle, I hope you all have a magical trip. Give Mom and Popadon a hug from Mark and I, and we can't wait to hear all about it.

Thanks Kathy.

Ohhhh have fun! <3 I'll try to remember to follow you on instagram! Twitter to you is Instagram for me, I just can't figure out how to make it a "thing."

Hahaha, see! Opposite ends of the spectrum. I keep meaning to start tweeting, I'm just lazy.

Have a great trip!!! :wave2:

Thanks!

It's so hard when you see lots of friends on FB and Instagram on a trip and you're not. I've totally been there. :rotfl2:

We'll be at F&W on Sunday I'll keep an eye out for you

:) I wonder if we did cross paths at some point and not know it.

I hope you and your parents have a great trip. :goodvibes It is nice to be able to catch the F&W and the beginning of the Christmas festivities. We loved being there for the ending of F&W. Everything turned out really nicely. I really enjoyed the slush in France this time! I like them for different reasons though.

I love the title of your trip report. Disney really does need to add hashed browns to their breakfast menus. We had a delicious breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe, but it really needed hash browns instead of those awful breakfast potatoes. Then it would have been perfect.

Hahaha, right? What's with the lack of hash browns Disney? We prefer them to fancy potatoes!

It's difficult when people don't appreciate the meet and greets. I didn't used to do them a lot, but on this trip in particular we got into them, and I've wanted to stick with that trend.

Have a great trip! Can't wait to hear about your adventures!

Thanks!

Fun updates, Danielle!

Totally jealous that you are at WDW RIGHT NOW! :goodvibes

That's exactly how I feel when I see others on a trip and I'm not! :rotfl:

Hope you have an amazing trip. Can't wait to read along on more adventures.

No worries at all! It's trips like this that just set me behind and it's difficult for me to catch up on others TR's. I am making the big push this weekend, after I get an update done on this TR.

The Figment hoodie is perfect, right?! I was like "um, yeah that's going with me".

You are correct, one can never have enough Disney friends.

I've been watching the Facebook updates but just wanted to come here and officially say that I hope you're having an amazing trip!

Thanks hon! It was a great trip.

The ONLY way I am caught up is because you are on another trip. :rotfl2:

Have a great time and eat some F&W for me since I missed this year. :(

For real, that's how I feel often too.

Too cute!

What a fun breakfast and meet!

Oh - and even though I already know you are - HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!!!! :goodvibes

It was so nice of Katt to offer me the seat at breakfast. I hadn't been there in a while, so it was nice to make it back. You are right, they are all super tiny. They make me feel like I'm the Hulk or something.

Thanks! We had a great time.

Hi everyone! So I'm officially back from vacation. I don't get back on the DIS the first week back normally, because work is so stressful and busy that I need to get caught up there before I can commit to doing anything else. Add on top of the normal stresses that one of my associates broke their hip and needed emergency hip surgery while I was out. :scared: Yeah, that's something to come back to. She's doing well, but it adds a whole layer of complexity with staffing and doing the work that needs to be done. So I need to look into temp agencies to see how we're going to handle it while she's out.

Our trip was great! I'll get the TR started soon. Maybe even today if I'm inclined. Haha. I really didn't want to run two at a time, but this one is almost done, so I think I can handle it for a little while. Plus, I don't want to keep everyone waiting.

So onward with the 24 hour day! And I'll be trying to get caught up on others TR's today and tomorrow.

Day 9 - Friday May 23, 2014 continued:

I had just left the lovely Katt and Jenna after breakfast. I was on a mission to meet up with Mom and Pop. Mom had texted me that they were back in the park and that they were on the Peoplemover. So after I left the castle, I headed in that general direction.

As I was walking, I stepped a little funny, came out of my flip flop and felt a little pain go up my calf.

We're gonna call that a walking fail right there.

I at times get a nagging calf strain in my right calf that flairs up sometimes. I run a decent amount of miles a week, but when you add walking in Disney over 10 miles a day, I think it was overused. It wasn't a big deal, it didn't set me back. It was just hella annoying!

So I sucked it up, told myself "this is the 24 hour day dangit!" and continued hobbling forward.

Yes. Hobbling. It's totally okay.

I made it over to the Peoplemover about an hour later.

I KID I KID!

When I made it over there, I told Mom and Pop that I strained my calf a little, so I wanted to go on the Peoplemover. They love that, so of course we went on. They didn't mind going on a second time.

Pop was apparently waving at his fan base. Cause you know he's got one.

We're going to have to teach him the proper way to wave at his fans.

Mom really liked my wand.

After our ride around Tomorrowland, we decided to head over to the Laugh Floor.

And the moment we have been waiting for. For the longest time it feels. Finally happened.

It was epic.

It was amazing.

It was awe inspiring.

Pop.....was....

THAT GUY!!!!!!

Catch me in the monitor taking a picture? Oh yeah.

I have been waiting the longest time for this to happen, and it finally did. So now my mission in life is that he has to be selected as the guy who dances.

It will happen. I will make it so.

Apparently, when you are That Guy, they give you a sticker so you can prove it.

At this point, my Disney life was almost complete. I mean, for real, I've been trying to get my Pop is the right seat to be selected for the longest time. And it finally happened. That's super exciting for me! And it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I am very easily amused.

After we finished there, it was time for our Anna and Elsa FP. When I originally booked our FP+ reservations, one wasn't available on the 24 hour day. But then Disney opened up more a while later and then I was able to snag one. Score.

The FP wait was about 20 minutes.

We were the last group let in to the room to see Anna and Elsa, so the CM was chatting us up a little bit while we waited to make our way up there.

He commented on our Disneybounds and said that he really liked them. We just basically chatted about a whole lot of nothing. The 24 hour day, the craziness that is meeting Anna and Elsa, Disney as a whole, and the fact that we arrived to the park at 6am. It was already after noon at that point. Crazy to think we had been in the park for 6 hours already!

Anna and Elsa were very sweet. After meeting them separately last week, I have to say they are much better when you meet them together.

What is up with my unintentional deer face here?

We were talking about the weather in Illinois, and how even in May we had a tiny bit of a flurry there. We blamed Elsa obviously.

Elsa said that maybe we had a mini snow queen up there, because she knows it's cold, but she's not the one doing it. She told me to tell the other snow queen that if she ever needed to let it go, she has a nice ice castle she could borrow and go to anytime.

Pop had them cracking up, because we go in to take a picture, and he makes a Pop style noise. I can't describe it better than that, I'm sorry. You just have to hang out with the man for a while to truly understand what I mean.

Well Anna goes, "Is that your Sven impression?!"

And of course, we had to take a we-sie.

So for some reason, Aurora got the shaft and didn't have a PP photographer, which makes no sense to me. Or PP lost it or something, because all I have for her is a we-sie.

After that, we decided that we were going to head back to the room for a while. It was after noon already and I wanted to miss the crowds coming in and get enough rest to go out for the evening.

I admit it, I'm an old fart. I'm not going for the entire 24 hours! I mean, that's impressive for whoever wanted to do that, but I'm gonna be real with you. There were people sleeping all over the park later in the day. Nope, that's not gonna happen for me.

So we headed back to the hotel and ordered some room service for lunch.

MMmmmmm. Disney mac and cheese.

And then. Something amazing happened.

I literally passed out as soon as my head hit the pillow. Guess that the stupid bird from the night before really caught up with me. Like, I knocked out!

Up Next: A change of costume for the night!

Welcome back! Sorry life has been so stressful since you returned (it is never fun leaving the Disney bubble, but you seem to have a larger dose of reality!)

Ouch a strained calf does not sounds like fun

I love that Popadon was waving to all his admirers :goodvibes he is just so humble :lmao:

Great meet and Anna and Elsa, I have only seen them together so far but this year I get to see how they are separated and I am not looking forward to it.

I am with you there is no way I could have survived the whole 24 hours! I would have been one of those people sleeping in the park (no thank you!)

Oh Danielle, we know you can handle two TR's simultaneously. In fact, it feels odd when you don't.

OH GOD that gif looks painful. Like she seriously looks knocked out. So glad your ordeal wasn't that.

Ah Popadon can wave any way he likes. The masses won't care. He's Popadon!

I really like your wand as well incidentally.

THAT GUY!!!!!! I knew I felt something special going on that day. And on the 24 hour day no less. That is super awesome!! I think the guy who buys everybody churos would be killer as well. That is just so cool. Totally worth a sticker.

Haha I bet Elsa gets A LOT of "heat" from us northerners.

I loved meeting them but do wish they were meeting together.

You know. I appreciate people trying to do the 24 hour thing, but sleeping in the park does not count in my opinion. You must be awake for the full 24 hours if you want it to count. That's my rule anyway.

How awesome that Popadon was "that guy"! I bet his fan base grew even larger that day! :)

Welcome back! Sorry you have to deal with the work stuff.

Yay for Popadon being That Guy!! :thumbsup2 I bet he was a great one - makes me wish there were video of it! Dug was That Guy once, so I knew about the sticker. I think Popadon should automatically be featured on the Laugh Floor each time he enters - they should attach it to his Magic Band so the CMs know that he will have a good time with it.

I love how you are all just chatting away with Anna and Elsa. Just looks like a group of friends having a conversation. Love your we-sies too!

Glad you got in a nap at the hotel. The Peoplemover also would be a good nap option, had you not left the park. ::yes::

That is very cool that Popadon was That Guy. It always makes a fun topic of conversation, too.

What a bummer about work. It is so stressful to come back from a wonderful trip and had all hell break lose at work. I had a ton of work waiting for me when I got back from our October trip. No one does my work for me while I'm gone. :(
