They Don't Eat Hash Browns in Princessland - May 14 COMPLETE! 2/8 pg. 73

Totally have been creepin' on your reports for a while.:rolleyes1 I'm in! You guys are TOO funny! :rotfl2:

Eep. You have multiple TRs going and you are still ahead of me. You're making me look bad! ;)

Oh your poor travel day. I hate it when every. single. thing. seems to go wrong. Blergh. I would have been ready to eat the super cute room border by that point!!!

The royal rooms looks so much fun! All of the details are incredible. Only Disney!

I feel your pain on the red hair (and yours definitely is fabulous)! I used to do mine red and just got so tired of the fading! It never really stayed red for long, and like you I hated the color bleed onto EVERYTHING! Meh. Worth it for fab red hair though.

How difficult would it have been to turn off the sound on his phone?!?!? People make be crazy sometimes. Argh.

And poor Pop! I'm like you, I burn if you look at me sideways. I can't even imagine how annoying for someone not used to it!

"What did we do before we had these phones!?" I think once upon a time we actually talked to people, lol. But I'm not completely sure. I'd ask someone, but I don't have my phone right now...

Hmmm, you know... that picture of Popadon and his peanuts... add a monocle and a top hat and a cane... Ah never mind.

Wow, Spa Day right off the bat. Not a bad way to get into vacation mode I must say.

OK that was unexpected that your Pop looks EXACTLY like Will Ferrell when he stays in the sun to long. Who would've guessed.

Dad's legs were pretty burned. they looked like lobster legs :lmao::lmao:he sure had to mention it frequently. :rotfl2:

Ahahaha the whole hair dye & towels things just makes me think of the time Steven & I went to phoenix for auditions! Between the spray tan, bronzer and tattoo covering make up, we left that hotel a MESS of orange! Bahahahaha.

Yay for getting relaxing spa treatments! Definitely something I'll have to look into coming oct! Aside from mr obnoxious pants it seems like a really great morning!!

I'm with you. I hate people who don't turn off the sound from their phone.

Right?! Seriously, what is up with that! :lmao:

Hey, you're just considerate about the towels :P It's very thoughtful.

Riverside looks so beautiful. I need to get over to look at it in September.

Ooh the pedi sounds so relaxing. Someday I need to go to a spa and do something. Anything, really.

And your poor Pop, that is unfortunate.

I try to be. I mean, I know I could be like "oh well, you know they're a big corporation, blah blah blah", but I just feel like that's kinda rude. :rotfl2:

Definitely make a stop over there at some point. Their food court is really nice too.

The pedicure was so worth it. I balked at the price at first, but I'm really glad we did it.

It was unfortunate, but at the same time funny, because I can't help but give my Pop a hard time.

I could see the slightest tinge of red in the towels. I can understand why you bring your own towel and pillowcases. I think you are very sweet.

I love your "Frozen" look...well done.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Since I don't have a falling out of my chair smilie, I'm using the :faint: The look on your mom's face when your Pop said "how do you know I didn't loogie in there" literally had ne fall out of my chair. That was hysterical and so the family vacation begins.

I love the color from your pedicure...very pretty.

I would have walked up to the man and taken his phone and told him to get a grip. I'm sure there was a sign on the door too that said no phones in the relaxing lounge!

Pop got sunburned? Oh dear...hope it didn't cause him too much trouble later on.

Aww, thanks! That seems to be the general concensus here, that I was nice to bring my own towels and pillowcases.

Thanks! I really liked that look.

Bahahahaha, I almost fell out of my chair when it happened! It was hilarious. And in my family truly signifies that vacation is on when my Pop says something ridiculous. Which is typically right away, but still. :lmao:

Oh I wanted to. Now, I brought mine phone in, but mainly because I wanted to take pictures. But it's just common sense. I'm trying to relax here, put it away!

Nah, it didn't cause him any trouble. He just complained about it like a whiny baby. :rotfl2:

I absolutely love the makeup wish you were closer so we could meet and u could give me lessons. I love that purple with your eyes gorgeous.

Awww, thanks! I really love makeup. I've totally thought about starting a YouTube channel with tutorials, but it's a lot of work!

Sorry had to reply on the loogie in the potatoes my 17yr old son has been saying he licks his toast and bacon to keep me from stealing his. When I heard your dad said that Pepsi came out of my nose. He is just to cute and funny. Gotta luv him.

Hahahaha, we say that kind of stuff on my family all of the time! But the part that's funny (and gross to many people), is that we would still eat it. If my nephew tries something like that to me, I'll eat whatever he licks just to gross him out. :rotfl: I have issues.

The photo of your Pop and his peanuts is too funny! I hope his sunburn wasn't too uncomfortable.

How nice that you and your mom were able to spend some time together at the spa. Pretty color on your toes!

You are very thoughtful to bring your own towels.

That man loves his peanuts!

I don't think it was too uncomfortable, but if you asked him, it was the most horrible thing that could have ever happened in life. :lmao: But that's because he's never been sunburned before.

The color turned out lovely. It looked amazing in the sunlight.

I didn't even realize you started a new trip report! Subbing.... I see I'm far behind after only a week!

Yup, not too far behind!

Actually, I read that as a result of people looking down at their smart phones so much, they end up with some new syndrome called "phone droop" where from bending down so much, it causes the facial skin to stretch, and results in people getting facelifts (or just botox) much earlier in life...

In all honesty, I wouldn't even be surprised if that was true. :rotfl:

That's nice of you to bring towels and pillowcases and I'm sure housekeeping sees a lot worse with so many kids around. (Kids can be gross)

Again, your pictures of Riverside are really making me jealous.

Oh man your moms reaction....that's hilarious.

Oh wow, a relaxation pedicure before the start of your trip was probably wonderful. I think everyone should do that.

I will NEVER EVER understand keyboard sounds. Seriously what's the point of that?!? And then somewhere that is suppose to be quiet and peaceful. But this is also from someone that only keeps their phone on vibrate or silent.

Oh your poor Pop. Sunburn is the worse and can make you feel so miserable. My DBF never gets burnt and he is always picking on me for reapplying sunscreen every 30 minutes and constantly moving from the sun, but when you are pasty white you do what you have to. I've had a couple of burnt moments and it's miserable especially when there isn't even a tan at the end just more pasty white! Hope it doesn't bother him too much on the trip.

I'm sure mousekeeping does see a lot worse. I just figured that the color can stain, so I was really concerned about that.

I would say either get one before or after the trip. But the start was fine, because I totally needed color on my toes. ;)

Right?! Why even have them on there. And of course me being a slight jerk, I was like "what...do you not know how to turn them off?!" I'm thinking that was actually the case.....

Ugh, I'm the same! I can burn, and then it just fades back to the white I started with. I never really retain color.

I am very familiar with the white towel/pillowcase versus hair dye problem! I used to dye my hair purple a lot and whenever I did it would stain anything pale. A pain? Yes. Worth it? Yes lol. Its very considerate of you to bring your own dark towel and pillowcase though. I'm guessing Mousekeeping appreciate it. That spa looks lovely and relaxing (until the phone guy anyway lol). Your poor dad! It must suck being sunburnt in Florida. Looking forward to the next update!

Wow, purple. I totally wish I could do that, but I'm in management and they totally wouldn't go for it at my office! I'm jealous.

I agree, the red is worth it, it just gets a little exhausting sometimes.

Oh, it definitely sucks being sunburned in Florida. I'm totally familiar with it.

Hi! I'm Jess and I am so excited to join in! Your makeup is beautiful and I am so jealous that you stayed in the Royal Room. I love the princess portraits on the wall!

I am looking into spa reservations for my December trip now. I'm thinking that my husband reallllyyyy needs a boys only day with our kids! :lmao:

:welcome:

I'm so glad that you're here! We loved the Royal Room, even though we were only there for one night. It was really beautiful.

Oh, I totally think you should! It was so nice.

The Spa Day looks wonderful! What a great way to start your vacation. I also think its a great idea to pamper yourself after the Princess race :thumbsup2

It was an awesome way to start our trip!

I was just telling Jeni my SIL that we need to do that the day after the race. Also because I'm not sure we'll be able to move, so we'll need someone to work out the kinks. :lmao:

The Royal Rooms are so pretty! :goodvibes My girls would be in awe staying there.

Sounds like you & your mom had a fun morning at the spa! Love the color on your toes! What's the color called if you don't mind me asking?

Aw, your poor dad and his sunburn! That can hurt SO bad!

They're so beautiful! A definite place to go for girls.

I'll have to check for you! I'm on lunch at work right now, so I'll double check when I get home later tonight and I'll let you know what the color is. I know it's Sparitual brand.

It can hurt really badly. I think it's his lesson to learn for thinking he's invincible from the sun. :rotfl2:

For whatever reason, I just don't think spa treatments or manis/pedis are enticing when I think about going somewhere local. Maybe I just don't like where I live or want to bump into anyone I know, which affects how relaxed I can be. I guess as a teacher, I don't really like going anywhere because chances are I will bump into someone I know and/or someone I went to school with! But seeing your pictures of relaxing at Disney makes it look SOOOO FUNNNN! I could totally enjoy it there! I mean, unless there was a phone guy there at the same time. How obnoxious is that to have the clicking sound on in the first place even if not in a spa?!

Donig them at Disney is really great. I don't do them locally, just because I don't want to spend the money!

Exactly! Phone guy needed to be jacked in the face.

I wonder what we did before phones too..I know I certainly can't live without mine now!

Aw I think it's considerate of you to bring your own towel/pillowcase!

Love the makeup of the day!

The spa pedicure sounds AWESOME. What a nice touch that you get to keep your color too!

Aww poor Pop :( Sunburn certainly is the pits!

I can't either! And I feel so bad because of that.

It's definitely awesome that we can keep the color. I think all of the Disney spas do that too.

I'm with everyone else about the towels/pillowcase - that's super considerate of you. I used to be very adventurous with my hair (waaay back in my bartending days!), but now that I'm in a "corporate" job, I don't get to do that anymore - BOO!!!!

I adore pedicures, but like you, I don't usually get the "spa" pedi. I just like my toes to look good, since here in Florida it's never out of season to wear flip flops! :beach: I definitely think you should book one for after the Princess, your feet will thank you!!!

I'm the same way! I go as adventurous as I can with red and bright blonde. But other than that, I can't really do much more.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that we definitely need to have one after the Princess Half. I think my entire well being will thank me. :lmao:

Love it so far! You are too hilarious!

Thanks!

Totally have been creepin' on your reports for a while.:rolleyes1 I'm in! You guys are TOO funny! :rotfl2:

Hey, no shame here. We've all creeped. Thanks for following along!

Eep. You have multiple TRs going and you are still ahead of me. You're making me look bad! ;)

Oh your poor travel day. I hate it when every. single. thing. seems to go wrong. Blergh. I would have been ready to eat the super cute room border by that point!!!

And poor Pop! I'm like you, I burn if you look at me sideways. I can't even imagine how annoying for someone not used to it!

I've totally slacked on my TR's plenty of times before, don't you worry at all! I have to stay on a schedule, otherwise I get too far out of a rhythm and it's really hard for me to get back into it.

I was totally ready to eat my arm. Like, no joke.

I am in the place right now where I'm a bit tired of the fading on the hair. I have to ask my colorist how we come out of the color without killing my hair. Plus, I get bored! I'm so bad like that.

Yup, I just burn like nobodies business. There's only one sunscreen that really works on me, so I'm very familiar with burns. :lmao:

"What did we do before we had these phones!?" I think once upon a time we actually talked to people, lol. But I'm not completely sure. I'd ask someone, but I don't have my phone right now...

Hmmm, you know... that picture of Popadon and his peanuts... add a monocle and a top hat and a cane... Ah never mind.

OK that was unexpected that your Pop looks EXACTLY like Will Ferrell when he stays in the sun to long. Who would've guessed.

Wait....talking to people? What's that.....I have to google it.

Hahahaha! I may have to edit that pic.....

It was an awesome way to start the trip! I would totally do it again.

I know, they look so alike. And his nickname is Rickey Bobby.......no for real. That's what people call him. :rotfl:

Dad's legs were pretty burned. they looked like lobster legs :lmao::lmao:he sure had to mention it frequently. :rotfl2:

I know, didn't he! Every time we did something, he just had to talk about his burn.

Right?! I just didn't want red hair dye stained all over the towels! It's bad enough with the exhorbitant amount of makeup I wear. That already gets all over the towels. :scared1:

Absolutely look into the spa! They're just gorgeous.

that's very considerate of you to worry about staining their towels ... but I can see where you would be concerned after having thought about it but then forgetting to bring the dark towel

Other than the keyboard sounds that seems like a really relaxing time with the pedicure, etc.!

So Darth Papadon was trying to recreate the result from his battle with Obi-Wan on Mustafar?

It's always funny when people who don't normally burn have to deal with one. Alex is like that in that he spends the few days in shock over it. "I'm burned? Can you believe it?!"

I can understand you feeling bad about the whole towel situation, but I'm sure the resorts have those kind of things happen all the time. That's why you can't put too much stock in the comfort level of those things. Disney probably buys them wholesale for pennies.

Your spa sounds wonderful! (Minus the guy typing on his phone). That's really great that the place is open to you for the entire day. Didn't know that.
And I think some time at the spa would be well earned after a half marathon!

Coming out of lurk-dom to follow you! I read your past reports and they're sooooo funny! I want to join your family too!

Oh travel days. They can be so unpredictable. But they give us all something to remember the vacation. Love how the rental car place was just throwing people in random cars.

Sooooo Jealous you stayed in a Royal Room. I need to stay there on my next trip. Its on my bucket list of places to stay. I just love the ground at POR.

The spa sounds amazing, and its nice that you can use it all day.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a man so excited to eat peanuts :rotfl:

The mansion buildings are so beautiful...take me baaaack! I'm excited for Pop but I will miss my Riverside.

I commend you for trying Disney makeup in that heat. Since we always go in the summer, I'm like eh, I'll just wear concealer. I love the Elsa look though!

Isn't it CRAZY going to the food court so late? Normally we're there at 7:30 and it's pretty dead. One day we got there at 9 and it was a zoo.

:lmao: Your mom's face!!! That's totally something my dad would do, and my mom would have a similar reaction.

I've never heard of a zero gravity chair before but it is something I need in my life.

The spa treatment sounds so nice, and I love the color! You should definitely do it after PHM, that would be such a nice way to treat yourself after a long run!

All caught up!

You have SO much restraint for not saying anything to the woman behind you. I bet it was hard for you to just sit there in silence and not say anything huh?!:headache:

I started busting up at work with the hulk gif!!!:rotfl: Cus i'm pretty sure i've done that a few times myself!

I love that your pop always looks happy in every pic. He's so cute:cutie:

OH MY GOSH the royal room looks AMAZING! I would so stay there! The details are so fantastic. I never even considered using DVC points to stay in a Moderate. Is the point value not worth it?

I love the way you do your eye makeup! I wish I could do cool, vibrant colors, but I don't think it would look good with brown eyes. Your blue eyes are so versatile. What pallate is this?

:rotfl2:your moms face after the loogie comment.

Ahh, that pedi sounds nice....uhh except for that irritating noise coming from the guys phone.

that's very considerate of you to worry about staining their towels ... but I can see where you would be concerned after having thought about it but then forgetting to bring the dark towel

Other than the keyboard sounds that seems like a really relaxing time with the pedicure, etc.!

So Darth Papadon was trying to recreate the result from his battle with Obi-Wan on Mustafar?

I never thought I was overly considerate, but everyone's response to my need to bring my own towel has really pointed that out to me. :rotfl:

It was extremely relaxing and I would totally do it over again.

:rotfl2: Nice.

It's always funny when people who don't normally burn have to deal with one. Alex is like that in that he spends the few days in shock over it. "I'm burned? Can you believe it?!"

And I think some time at the spa would be well earned after a half marathon!

They're horrible to contend with! Suddenly they're burned and it's like their world is over! :rotfl:

I agree, they do likely buy them for wholesale for pennies. But you know....I just think that way. :lmao:

It was pretty awesome when I found out that it was open to us the entire time. I am definitely thinking it's a must stop for us with the half marathon.

Coming out of lurk-dom to follow you! I read your past reports and they're sooooo funny! I want to join your family too!

:welcome:

I'm so glad you're here! That's so nice of you to come out of lurkdom for me! :goodvibes
