They Don't Eat Hash Browns in Princessland - May 14 COMPLETE! 2/8 pg. 73

I love your car, it's SO cute!

EE scares the heck out of me! I'm getting to be a big chicken on roller coasters!

Unfortunately, it's not surprising that you have a wheelchair story. It's frustrating to say the least. Ugghhh.

Yeah, Yeti needs a bath! That's the problem with white fur;)

It looks like you and your mom had a fun day at AK!

I know it has been mentioned before, but your parents are awesome! I think their Christmas card this year should be Pop with the Mickey towel ears and Mom looking annoyed.

It is no fun to be injured while at WDW! It seems at one point your mom was down with the flu and she had to be talked into resting, and now Pop with the leg!

You guys were really good at finding PP at AK. I only found one last time! I'll think of it as a PP safari!

Yay for double updates! Sorry it was because of tummy issues though! Hope it doesn't slow down your running training. Sounds like you are doing great with it! :cheer2:

Well, we have crossed paths on many trip reports, so I think it is just right that I join you here!

Love, love, love your humor and writing style and your family is a hoot and a half!

Wow, that was quite an eventful (and long) travel day. I know that "Disney expert" that was behind you. I took the monorail to Harry Potter with her once. Why do the ones with the most misinformation speak so much?

What a fiasco in the airport and rental counter. YIKES! :scared1:

Thank goodness you found food, and a lovely room. Wow! Those royal suites are beautiful!

Nice review of the spa.

Poor Papadon. :sad1: The first burn is the cruelest.

:woohoo: on your room being ready. Boardwalk seems like such a fantastic resort, but I am contractually obligated to stick with the Beach Club. (There are worse things.)

You don't mess around with those DISmeets! :yay: for meeting Caitlin, Dawn and Dale. And it cracks me up that your dad was excited about all the meets. "Who are we meeting today?" :lmao:

Nice start at Food & Wine. The color palettes of your drinks so far are breathtaking and they sound delicious.

****************************

Thanks for the links- I will continue to catch up in a little bit!

:goodvibes

I'm a couple months or so late but better that than never, right?! Time to catch up! :thumbsup2

Love your EE ride photo!! Definitely worth the cramp. Looks like you and your mom were having a blast together this morning.

I think sitting out was probably the best for your dad. While AK isn't the biggest park, it does have a lot of rough and uneven paths, and the humidity justnwould have made it all the worse. ::yes::

Hahaha, that EE ride photo is great. And I think what makes it even better is the fact that you had to wait a hundred years to take it. I could just see you two sitting there. And sitting there. And sitting there. The longer you waited, the crazier you felt. :rotfl: But like I said, it turned out awesome.

I def have Bee Donald!! :flower3: :donald:

Your EE photo is hilarious and perfect! :rotfl2:

No hating on Pop, but you're getting quite a bit of happy Mother-Daughter time in

Hope he ends up feeling in tip-top shape by the time the 24 hr party rolls around!! :goodvibes

The picture from our first EE ride of our June trip was priceless and totally unplanned. DD15's eyes are showing whites on all sides and her hair is flying straight back. Had to buy that one. We took more posed ones on the next several rides, but that one just makes us laugh every time we see it.

I like the view too and it's safely inside, so double points ;)

Sounds like a great meal overall. I'll have to keep that in mind for our trip after next.

The meal was really awesome. I highly recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Oops. The bike story. I cringed a bit, but I was fully expecting him to say he'd dropped it on his leg so the car is a much better landing space.

Fun meets with Caitlin :)

And dang, I'm seriously jealous of your TSMM scores. My highest is like I think a little shy of 140,000.

It would have been a much more serious thing if he had dropped the bike on himself. It's an 800 pounder, so we're thankful that didn't happen.

I take TSM really seriously. I don't mess around. Hahaha! :rotfl2:

GMR really is so dependent on good hosts and gangsters (or cowboys). So it's always kinda disappointing when you don't get the best of the bunch.

And of course I have terrible timing with posting replies :p

Aww your poor Mom, but at least he did listen to you.

Thumbs up, it's the ultimate way to show you're happy to be there.

It is dependent on good hosts and hostesses. If you don't get a good one, it's just a ride through and you ignore a lot I think. I would love to have that job.

He generally does listen to me, which is good. So whenever my Mom needs something, I relay the message. It's very effective. :rotfl:

That ride picture is amazing. 10/10 posing. Would reccomend. :thumbsup2 (Although for a minute I thought the guy in frotn of you had a sock in his hand and not a hat and I was like, .. what is this?)

Ugh for real. We never sent the whole group of 6 girls to get our ride pictures. One, maybe two people go and everyone else waits at the end.

Aww you and your mom are so photogenic. Very nice pictures.

Thanks! I turned out well and I look super crazy so that's good.

I never understand why people send entire groups of people to do things. We never do that, especially with large groups. Two to three go up to get the food depending on how much needs to be carried and others go get seats. You would think PP pictures would be the same, but then that would be logical.

Your DISmeet with Kathy and Mark looks like it was hysterical!

Poor Popadon for being in pain! I've had ankle problems in the past due to old volleyball injuries and I agree with you - while it might not be fun to miss out on some park time it is better to baby an injury.

And OMG your ride picture!! I think that tops any of the crazy ones we did on our trip (and I haven't had a chance to post some of the better ones yet!).

We had a lot of fun at the DISmeet, I'm so glad it worked out.

Exactly! If you're hurt at all, it's best not to push it too far and just recover. We wanted to make sure he was in tip top shape for the 24 hour party.

The picture turned out the way I wanted times 1,000! I look genuinely insane.

Your Everest ride photo was truly worth all the trouble. It is great. Too bad the guy in front of you had his hands up. But at least it didn't cover up your expressions. :)

I love the gif of the baby. That is the best one ever. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I was glad that his hands didn't end up in my face, because that tends to be a side effect on Everest.

That baby meme was exactly how I was feeling at that moment.

I am afraid we would need to wear Depends from all the laughter. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I think we would, OMG!

I can't wait to hear.

I am feeling a little better, thanks for asking (in my quoted comment). :)

I think it is a Daddy/Daughter thing. He sometimes takes whatever I say as gospel, but my Mom says the same thing and she's lost her dang mind.

We refuse to pay for an extra driver. I just think it's so useless.

I'm sure your face was scared when you went on! I'm so proud of you for going though.

I love your car, it's SO cute!

EE scares the heck out of me! I'm getting to be a big chicken on roller coasters!

Yeah, Yeti needs a bath! That's the problem with white fur;)

It looks like you and your mom had a fun day at AK!

Thanks! I love my car too. It was a great choice.

I'm not scared of anything at all! I love roller coasters and the thrill they provide. Nothing is too big or fast for me.

I know, I hated that there was a wheelchair story. It was just obnoxious.

He does need a bath! But I think it makes him look well worn. :rotfl2:

That would make a good invitation to anything card! He's just insane.

It is no fun to be in paid at WDW. There's always something going on in our trips. Let's hope November we're in good shape.

We just kept our eyes open and there were PP all around, so it worked out. I do know they can be hard to find though.

Well, we have crossed paths on many trip reports, so I think it is just right that I join you here!

Love, love, love your humor and writing style and your family is a hoot and a half!

I'm so glad you're here! We do cross paths, so I suppose it makes sense to read each other's reports.

Thanks so much! My family is a ton of fun.

Wow, that was quite an eventful (and long) travel day. I know that "Disney expert" that was behind you. I took the monorail to Harry Potter with her once. Why do the ones with the most misinformation speak so much?

I think it's because they want to spread their misinformation, because they think they're so clever. :rotfl2:

What a fiasco in the airport and rental counter. YIKES! :scared1:

It was a long day for us and all I could do was focus on where we would be at the end of it.

You are right, being contractually obligated to stay at the Beach Club isn't so bad at all! It's actually my favorite resort, but it's been elusive for us with DVC since my parents don't have a huge contract there.

:goodvibes

We really started the trip out strong with the DISmeets! It was so much fun. He's completely embraced his current DIS status, which I think is just hilarious.

Thanks for hopping on board!

I'm a couple months or so late but better that than never, right?! Time to catch up! :thumbsup2

I'm glad you're here!

It was worth the cramp in the end. :rotfl2:

I completely agree that it was best for him to stay behind. We had some big days ahead of us and we wanted to make sure he was all good!

It really felt like it took a hundred years. I even looked at Mom and was like "really?"

I def have Bee Donald!! :flower3: :donald:

Your EE photo is hilarious and perfect! :rotfl2:

Yay! Donald's Bee Pictures!

We did get some good Mother/Daughter time, which was an added bonus. We haven't had a girls trip in a while (we have one coming up over New Year's), so it was really nice.

The picture from our first EE ride of our June trip was priceless and totally unplanned. DD15's eyes are showing whites on all sides and her hair is flying straight back. Had to buy that one. We took more posed ones on the next several rides, but that one just makes us laugh every time we see it.

Unplanned pictures are always the best though! We just can't pull them off anymore because we always know what's going to happen. :rotfl2:

Hi everyone!

So before I start on my update, I wanted to share with you the lovely DISmeet that I had yesterday.

If you read KatMark's TR's, you're probably already aware of it, but I'll share it with you again.

Kathy and I had made plans to meet up in my neck of a woods a while back, and Saturday was the day! We met at Gurnee Mills, which is a mall about 15 minutes away from my house. We had plans to meet at Ruby Tuesday's and have lunch there. Kathy posted pictures on her update here.

http://disboards.com/showpost.php?p=52139771&postcount=950

Kathy and Mark are just as fun in person as they are on their TR's. My Pop and Mark are like two peas in a pod. I actually couldn't imagine the two of them together in Disney. I think we'd all be laughing all day!

They were nice enough to bring us gifts as well, which I have not take pictures of yet, but will post later. They brought an awesome picture frame from the Chicago Disney Store for my parents and a Tinkerbell journal and Chicago Disney pin for me. Since I write notes on my TR's, Kathy thought it would be appropriate. Thanks again Kathy!

I'm definitely looking forward to meeting up with them again in the near future. We live somewhat close to each other, so it won't be too difficult.

Now if only we could figure out how to go to Disney at the same time. :rotfl2:

Continued in next post:

It was really great to meet Kathy and Mark. I am sure we would have a great time in WDW together. We would probably have to wear depends from the continues laughing from Popadon and Mark. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm so behind! I think I caught up! Whew.

I enjoy your reviews of the dark side. We may be visiting the dark side this January... with no Disney. *gasp* DH's choice, not mine, LOL. I owe him one.

I totally want your shirt. I mean, I want most of your wardrobe, but the one you wore to the dark side I want the most.

Sorry Popadon's leg was bugging him. But dude... he dropped his motorcycle on your car. I mean... yeah.

Yeti definitely needs a bath, I adore your cray cray Everest pic, and I support you disapproving glare! People make me crazy sometimes!!!

It was really great to meet Kathy and Mark. I am sure we would have a great time in WDW together. We would probably have to wear depends from the continues laughing from Popadon and Mark. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

So very, very true...but what stories we would have to tell. ;)

Awww, poor Popadon, but I totally understand why you did what you did. I hope he'll be out and about soon enough.

LOL at your EE on-ride photo, but really... when do any ride photos come out the way you really wanted them to come out? And either way, you and your mom's expressions plus the idea make it golden.

Love all the Photopass pictures! You guys definitely make great use of that.

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

I want to keep reading, but I can't stop staring and laughing at the Dog Punch!

Awww, sorry Pop had to stay and rest, but definitely a good idea to get the most out of the 24 hour party.

God, I've never done that PP spot out front before. I like it.

Geez... What do your real scared faces look like because those are legit!

ARGH!!!!! I'm glad you shot back a dirty look Danielle. I feel like that is for all of us who've had to stand behind or get by these massive groups that take up so much space unnecessarily. Even at the supermarket. Why does it it take 5 people to take one cart through the checkout? So frustrating.

Those doll dresses!!! :lovestruc

Sounds like a really nice evening at DHS!

LMAO your EE ride photo! That is all kinds of perfect!!

And great PP photos at AK!

Yeah, two updates in a row, even if it is because you are sick. Bad for you, good for us. Hope u are feeling better.

Good job getting papadon to stay back. My family works the same my dad listens to me and not my mom. My mom listens to my brother but not my das. Guess how we will divide them up in old age ; )

Love, love, love your EE photo. Did I say I loved it? Also all the closed eyes around u are a nice touch. They must have dosed off while u were cramping up ; )
