They Don't Eat Hash Browns in Princessland - May 14 COMPLETE! 2/8 pg. 73

Great update! So fun you had a DISmeet with Caitlin and their family. They seem like a great bunch, and like you said, so like your family. I saw your meet up with Kathy on FB--awesome! I am going to be at my in-laws next weekend and thought, I should let Danielle know!

Ooh, WP looks amazing! We always go to the Express location and enjoy it. That red snapper would have been my choice.

Ah, lovely Ghirardelli's. There should be a location inside the parks as well.

Oh, Popadon.:lmao: I do love the "hidden mickey" picture with the expression on your mom's face. Priceless.

I hope his leg issue was a temporary thing for the night.

You are a serious TSM competitor. :thumbsup2 I barely break the 150 threshold.:confused3 I have had CM's on The Great Movie Ride that are seriously campy. It is sometimes amusing, but some of them just go way over the top.

Another great update. Wolfgang Puck The Dining Room looks yummy! I love those vinyls; especially Mr Pricklepants. Your dad! Lol.

Wolfgang Puck looks awesome! We usually stick with WPE at DTD but if I ever feel like going fancy there I'd definitely check out the full restaurant.

Olaf candy apple!!! Heart eyes.

So glad no one was hurt TOO badly, but poor Popadon and poor car! Glad the car was fixed, as it's adorable. We are a family of Beetle lovers (my dad had a blue one for a long time).

I want a dress of Belle dolls. Very Lady Gaga.

DYING at Popadon with the Mickey towel ears :lmao:

EEEE I LOVE MR. PRICKLEPANTS. Very cool that you got a chaser as well!

Wow, your meal looks totally awesome dude. We love wolfgang puck, I'm not sure why it doesn't get much more love. Every meal we've had there has been perfect from the service to the food and the ambiance. Plus love that ADRs can usually be gotten the day of.

How nice for papadon to drive to ghiardelli. Sounds like its a good thing you had a car and not a motorcycle for the transport ; ) glad to hear the car is fine, but keep milking it ; )

OMG, it was sooooooo good! I think the other restaurants at DTD get passed up for other fare. Which is a shame, because they're so good.

He was so sweet! He really does take good care of us. I absolutely will keep milking the fact that he dropped his bike on my car. Hahaha.

Dinner looks great and I am lad you had a good meal.

I have had great luck finding a spot at the Marketplace lately, kinds scary how lucky I have gotten...

So sorry Popadon's leg was hurting and :scared2: that her dropped the bike on your car. Glad everyone and everything is okay now.
Way to rock EMH- I have never had good luck at DHS EMH. Always stupid crowded and I end up frustrated. Glad you got a few TSMM rides.
:thumbsup2

It was really good. I recommend it to anyone.

We normally have pretty decent luck finding parking at the Marketplace too. It's only been a few times that it's been completely crazy.

Yeah, when he dropped the bike on my car it was an interesting day for sure.

I haven't done EMH at DHS in so long, it was nice to see that the lines weren't crazy. Definitely on my list again in the near future.

YAASSSS I WAS RIGHT party: party: party: party:

I only put down two really because I wasn't sure if you had been to Raglan Road yet and didn't bother to luck and that was a strategical guess because I could. Wolfgang Puck was my spur of the moment guess so... my instincts were right, my brain was wrong lol

Yay for getting it mostly right!

Yup, we have been to Raglan Road before, but your spur of the moment guess was right on.

Anyways, everything looks SOOOOOO good there! Christine had some fantastic recommendations for y'all. I'm definitely making sure to stop there for some QS next time I'm there.

Awww, that stinks about Popadon's leg. Poor thing, but he's such a good trooper about it. I hope you guys shared some of your delicious Ghirardelli sundaes with him though I'm sure you still remembered the car incident. That's one swanky car btws :thumbsup2

WPE is one of my favorites too. It's on the Marketplace side though, not the West Side, which can be confusing. Multiple Wolfgang Puck restaurants can be confusing.

He did get a few bites of sundae, just not too much. Diabetes and such. But we definitely share.

MR. PRICKLEPANTS!!! (#spiritanimal) I think that's the best Vinyl I've seen yet. There seriously needs to be more Pricklepants merch in the parks, he's awesome.

Sounds like you had quite a fun night with Caitlin and family! I honestly feel so ashamed of my score when I see yours. I need to put in some major extra effort. I'm not even at half your score. Shameful, I know. My DCP cannot come soon enough.

Sorry that the gangster and hostess on the Great Movie Ride weren't that great, but I know exactly what you're talking about that. I think I've had one of those hostesses before, but it's still an enjoyable ride, right?

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

I was pretty excited to get Pricklepants.

We had a great time that night! I was so glad that we were able to meet up with each other. The trick is just unlocking the easter eggs. I can't even get close to the highest scores yet though. I haven't figured that out.

It is still an enjoyable ride. GMR is still a must see for me.

I see by your score on TSMM that a little serious competition brings out the best in you. You were pretty close to the high score of the hour! :thumbsup2

The sundae looks delicious! Being able to get a delicious dessert like this is one of the reasons why the dining plan doesn't work for us. If I want a dessert it is definitely going to be something special like this. :goodvibes

Your Dis meet with Kathy and her husband in Gurnee Mills looked like it was lots of fun.

It definitely does bring out the best in me! Caitlin was right on when it came to unlocking the easter eggs with me.

That's actually one of the main reasons we don't do the dining plan either. We get better value from using Tables in Wonderland, and I want the freedom to eat the desserts I want, not something I have to get.

The DISmeet was so much fun! I'm so glad it worked out for us.

I absolutely love this shot. Your dad is so funny, and your poor mom looks like she's thinking, "Oh no. He's doing it again, isn't he?" :rotfl2:

Your dinner looked delicious, but I think I like the looks of the sundae even more! Oh, yum.

Sounds like a good EMH night at DHS. Fun with friends - doesn't get much better!

That's totally what it looks like, right? :rotfl: Oh Pop. Such a silly guy.

The sundae is insane! One of my favorites there.

We had a lot of fun. It was a good night.

I always forget there's a table service restaurant part of Wolfgang! Everything looks and sounds delicious! I'm glad yall were able to enjoy a nice meal there :)

Oh my gosh... the Ghiradelli sundaes... I want one right now! I'm making it a mission to grab one when we're down there next month. And I'm a pig, too because that sundae would've been gone before I got back to the hotel as well! You can't eat ice cream slow when it's so dang yum!

LOL I love that picture of your dad with the towels over his head! :rotfl2: He is too funny!

Awesome night at Hollywood Studios! You're a BEAST at TSM!

I know, I seem to forget the TS version is over there too! The meal was so good though, I'm glad we picked it.

I want one too! I don't share those, no ma'am. I will hammer it all by myself, thank you very much.

He's such a silly guy. We love him that way.

I take no prisoners on TSM, and I'm not going to lie, I will get angry if I do poorly. :rotfl:

What an awesome meet with Kathy!! How fun. I had a chance to meet Kathy for a brief few minutes last summer and she is a very neat lady.

I will have to go to Wolfgang Puck and ask for that waitress; she sounds awesome!

YUM, that Ghiradelli is TOTALLY worth waiting in line for. I would have been right there with you, and finishing before we got back to the hotel.

You were on FIRE at TSMM! :cheer2: You go, girl!! Now I am going to have to do some research on those Easter Eggs so I can get some major points next week. :thumbsup2

It was so fun! She's so so sweet. I've been so fortunate with DISmeets.

Christine at Wolfgang Puck was so sweet. She was a great server.

Ghirardelli is worth waiting for me. The line normally moves pretty quickly, and I always take it to go.

Yes! Just google Toy Story easter eggs, and they will come up for you. Most of them need two people to unlock, but when you do, bam! Tons of points.

I'll admit, I was totally drooling a little over your dinner recap. Everything sounded delicious and different than the normal fare. And that sundae.....:goodvibes. I don't blame you for devouring it. It looked amazing.

I love your chaser Vinyl! Very cool. :thumbsup2 (We've only gotten the chaser once, too, so I understand how neat getting one is.) and Mr. prickle pants is pretty awesome, too.

That's fantastic that you got to ride TSMM with Caitlin. I can only imagine what that ride vehicle was like during your turn. :rotfl: pretty intense.

Dinner was so good. I was drooling over it again when I posted the pictures of dinner.

I thought the vinyl was so cool, and then looked on the box and was even happier when I found out it was a chaser.

Hahahaha, intense is definitely a way to put it. :lmao:

That dinner sounded amazing. I think I'm going to try the WP express in DTD on our arrival night in November. I love me some good food.

Congrats on the chaser! I just recently started collecting Vinyls, and at first my husband gave me all kinds of weird looks, but now I've got my kids opening them and getting so excited about it. :cool1: I have never gotten a chaser! But my day will come soon I hope.

Where/what are these easter eggs on TSM? My DH always beats me on these kinds of rides, so I need to have some inside info!

I definitely recommend it! It's so good, you won't regret it.

Opening the vinyls is the best part! I get so excited and all giddy just thinking about which one it will be. And I totally get the letdown part too when I don't get the one I want.

The easter eggs are parts that you perform certain actions in the rooms and more points unlock for you to get. If you google it, you can find all of them. The easiest one is in the alien room. Get all of the aliens off of the table at the same time, and then a big alien opens up in the back and you can shoot continuous ones in his mouth.

While I do love a good Disney DISmeet, there is something extra special about one outside of Disney. You really have to work extra to make that happen and really WANT to meet. So awesome!!!!

So glad I didn't guess because I would have been wrong. Still haven't eaten at WP, dining room, express, or otherwise. In fact, I'm not sure I even knew there was a dining room since most people talk abut the QS part.

Haha, for a second I was thinking the the leg pain was from when you kicked him after the dropping of the bike on said 3 week old car. And speaking of which... I see a Bumble Bee! Pretty car.

OK... I know there are always times when one comments that they LOL'd. But that photo... Popadon... Mouse Ears... I think I need oxygen. :lmao:

There really is! For me, in a place that I go fairly regularly, it was so nice to meet them in my real world. :lmao:

Most everyone does talk about the QS location in the Marketplace. The Dining Room is on the West Side, so it's even more overlooked I think.

It very well could have been residual pain from the kicking he received after dropping it on my car. :rotfl:

I love my car. Like, LOOOOOOOVVVVEEE!

He's always coming up with something to give people the giggles. I keep telling him that at some point he's going to run out of stuff and then he's going to be boring.

Great update! So fun you had a DISmeet with Caitlin and their family. They seem like a great bunch, and like you said, so like your family. I saw your meet up with Kathy on FB--awesome! I am going to be at my in-laws next weekend and thought, I should let Danielle know!

It was a great night. I wish my Pop had been there, but oh well. We made due together.

It was so fun!

Next weekend!? Ugh, I'm in Lake Geneva! Message me on FB, we'll figure something out. :goodvibes

It's really great. Anyone who enjoys WPE would like the table service location as well.

There absolutely should be a Ghirardelli in the parks.

That's the general look on Mom's face and mine as well when Pop starts acting like...well, like Pop.

It did push into the next few days, but we got through it.

That picture of your dad with the towels on his head is so hilarious. :rotfl:

He's such a stinking fool. :rotfl2:

Another great update. Wolfgang Puck The Dining Room looks yummy! I love those vinyls; especially Mr Pricklepants. Your dad! Lol.

It's really a great restaurant!

Wolfgang Puck looks awesome! We usually stick with WPE at DTD but if I ever feel like going fancy there I'd definitely check out the full restaurant.

Olaf candy apple!!! Heart eyes.

I want a dress of Belle dolls. Very Lady Gaga.

DYING at Popadon with the Mickey towel ears :lmao:

EEEE I LOVE MR. PRICKLEPANTS. Very cool that you got a chaser as well!

The full restaurant is a hidden gem. Overlooked I think due to the location, but it really shouldn't be.

Yay for Beetle lovers! We're a VW family. I haven't ever owned anything but a VW.

I scored on the vinyls. Definitely a good day.

We had so much fun. Mark says we HAVE to overlap when Popadon is there.

We were watching Saving Mr. Banks last night while I was reading updates (no replies) on the DIS last night.

I showed Mark the photo of Popadon with the towel ears, and he had to stop the movie because he was literally crying from laughter. The two of them together for more than a couple of hours? Watch out people. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Loved the rest of the udpate.

I didn't know about the motorcycle and your car...I take that back; I think I read on FB about the issue, but I never knew the exact cause. Poor Popadon's leg; I'm sorry it started acting up on the trip.

We ate at Wolfgang Puck's in the dining room when it first opened. We need to make an effort to get back there.

Ghirardelli's looks packed as always.

Sounds like you had great fun with Caitlin and family.

Hi! I've been reading reports getting ready for our November trip. I normally read but don't reply, however, I have really enjoyed your report and have been laughing hysterically!

But the best part of the night? I bought one of the Silly Symphony vinyls. And I got the chaser! In case you're wondering, the chaser is the mystery one that has a question mark on the back of the box, so no one knows what it is. This one is pretty awesome. I've actually never gotten a chaser.

Best. Vinylmation. Ever.

I used to do "The Skeleton Dance" along with the "Scary Tales" VHS tape ALL THE TIME (otherwise known to my 5 year old self as the "Scary Donald" tape!)
:dance3:
Uber jealous of your awesome score!!! :thumbsup2

We will have to make sure it happens!

He's such a dork! And now you know because you've seen it in person. This is what I live with every day. He turns it on though for other people and puts on a bigger show. :rotfl2:

The two of them together for a lengthy period of time would be amazing!

Loved the rest of the udpate.

Yup, motorcycle dropping incident. His foot basically slipped off of the stand and there it went.

I had never eaten at the Dining Room, only in the Cafe lower level portion. It's well worth the visit.

It was packed. But that's totally the norm, right?

Hi! I've been reading reports getting ready for our November trip. I normally read but don't reply, however, I have really enjoyed your report and have been laughing hysterically!

:welcome: I'm glad that you decided to reply then! That seriously always feels awesome when people who don't normally comment do.

I was super excited to get that vinyl. I love that short! Scary Donald tape! Hahahaha. I have the Army Donald tape and the Bee Donald tape too!

Day 6 - Tuesday May 20, 2014

Oh my gosh. What is that you say? Updates TWO days in a row.

Write it down in the history books folks, because that's completely unheard of for a Danielle TR. And it will likely not happen again, so don't keep your hopes up in the future. This is what happens when you stay home from work with an upset tummy.

A new day had dawned for us.

And the morning started with Mom and I telling Pop that he couldn't come with us to the Animal Kingdom.

NOW....before you threaten to slap me, hear me out.

His leg was still hurting pretty badly in the morning. And the man. The man is STUBBORN with a capital S. He kept insisting that he was going to go for the day. Mom asked him to just stay behind, and he said no.

So I reasoned with him.

I calmly told him that he wanted to be in the best shape he could be in for the 24 hour party, which was in a few days. Since the pain in the leg was at it's high point this morning, I figured it would be wise that he stay back and relax for the morning.

He listened to me. Which starts a trend in our family. My Mom always laments the fact that my Pop listens to me, but doesn't listen to her. Poor Momma.

So, Mom and I got ready, ate a quick breakfast, and headed out for the day. The temperature was creeping upward as the week continued to go by, so I dressed light.

Momma was wearing a lovely Peter Pan shirt from Target.

And I was in surprise surprise surprise. A tank top from Hot Topic.

My makeup for the day was on the icy side, so we'll call it Frozen inspired.

Mom and I headed down to the bus stop. No car for us this day, since it's in Pop's name and I'm not in the habit of wanting to pay extra to add another name to it. I was more than willing to drive it, but Mom was all like....

That's against the rules.

Yes, I'm aware of that. But I conceded and told her that we would take the bus.

So of course we had to take some pictures on the bus.

We had to make the 20 stops from Boardwalk to Animal Kingdom.

I'm exaggerating, you stop at the Swan and the Dolphin.

Soon, we were arriving at the park. I took a picture of a family in front of the Animal Kingdom sign, so they returned the favor and took a picture of Mom and I.

And of course had to stop and get the obligatory PP picture.

Yeah, the PP photographer was like "can you give me a thumbs up?" Okay then.

Our first FP was for, you guessed it, Expedition Everest. So we wandered slowly in that direction. And I say slowly, because it was already 10,000 degrees outside, and moving quickly would not have been in our favor.

So I had to take some pictures along the way.

I did bring Yeti along. He wasn't very active on this trip, but he was home, so he had to get involved.

I asked Mom if she was afraid of the ride. This is the face I got.

So we decided to be scared together.

I asked to sit near the back, as I always do. I'm always a fan of the back of the ride on roller coasters. I like the intensity it provides.

So we get to end of the backwards portion. And we're sitting there at the top waiting. And waiting. And waiting. And waiting. I think we waited a good two minutes. And the funny thing is that I wanted to take this picture of us together on the ride that I thought would turn out hysterical. And we're in this position at the top waiting to go down the drop, and I'm telling you, I was getting a cramp!

Now........mission accomplished on the picture. Because it looks crazy. Don't believe me?

Get ready. This picture is going to give you nightmares.

I look straight up crazy!

Mission accomplished though. But you could totally see why we were getting a cramp right?! We were hanging on to each other for dear life and it was just awkward in that train. Oh well. Lesson learned.

We exited and went up to the photo counter to get our ride photo. Irritating story alert.

There was a family there and a lady in a wheelchair. The entire area was being blocked by all of them and no one could get through to the other ride photo CM's because they were there. I'm not exaggerating, there was a good 10 people in their group. And they didn't move at all. Why do you need 10 people to get your ride photo? Get the picture and get out. I understand completely it wasn't enough room for a wheelchair. Like, I get it.

So the CM at the register at the end waves us down, because she's ready for us. And we have to squeeze past the group of 10 people.

The lady in the wheelchair and the other woman up there with her gave my Mom the DIRTIEST LOOK you have ever seen in your life. Like my Mom did something wrong.

My Mom didn't notice it, but I sure did.

I fight fire with fire.

I gave them the dirtiest look I could muster right back at them.

Was it the right answer? No it wasn't. I'm so sorry I offended you by being in a public space simply trying to get to the counter.

I have been told that my dirty looks can melt even the bravest soul. Apparently it worked, because as soon as I turned the dirty look on them, they couldn't even look me in the eye.

Mission accomplished.

We obtained our photo quickly after that and headed on our way. I wanted to be free from the entitled grumpy people.

In the shop, I took note of the fact that my Yeti's hard partying lifestyle has gotten the better of him. That or he needs a bath.

We headed out of the shop and I caught this lovely picture.

And of course, saw another PP photographer, so couldn't resist that.

So where would we head off to next? Hmmmm.

Up next: You think you look like you're sleeping, but again....you just look cray cray.

I like the view too and it's safely inside, so double points ;)

Sounds like a great meal overall. I'll have to keep that in mind for our trip after next.

Oops. The bike story. I cringed a bit, but I was fully expecting him to say he'd dropped it on his leg so the car is a much better landing space.

Fun meets with Caitlin :)

And dang, I'm seriously jealous of your TSMM scores. My highest is like I think a little shy of 140,000.

GMR really is so dependent on good hosts and gangsters (or cowboys). So it's always kinda disappointing when you don't get the best of the bunch.

And of course I have terrible timing with posting replies :p

Aww your poor Mom, but at least he did listen to you.

Thumbs up, it's the ultimate way to show you're happy to be there.

That ride picture is amazing. 10/10 posing. Would reccomend. :thumbsup2 (Although for a minute I thought the guy in frotn of you had a sock in his hand and not a hat and I was like, .. what is this?)

Ugh for real. We never sent the whole group of 6 girls to get our ride pictures. One, maybe two people go and everyone else waits at the end.

Aww you and your mom are so photogenic. Very nice pictures.

Your DISmeet with Kathy and Mark looks like it was hysterical!

Poor Popadon for being in pain! I've had ankle problems in the past due to old volleyball injuries and I agree with you - while it might not be fun to miss out on some park time it is better to baby an injury.

And OMG your ride picture!! I think that tops any of the crazy ones we did on our trip (and I haven't had a chance to post some of the better ones yet!).

Your Everest ride photo was truly worth all the trouble. It is great. Too bad the guy in front of you had his hands up. But at least it didn't cover up your expressions. :)

I love the gif of the baby. That is the best one ever. :thumbsup2

We will have to make sure it happens!

Absolutely!

He's such a dork! And now you know because you've seen it in person. This is what I live with every day. He turns it on though for other people and puts on a bigger show. :rotfl2:

I would love to be a fly on the wall in our house. :rotfl:

The two of them together for a lengthy period of time would be amazing!

I am afraid we would need to wear Depends from all the laughter. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Day 6 - Tuesday May 20, 2014

Sounds like when my dad was around...he always listened to me. It's the daddy/daughter thing.

Love both shirts.

My makeup for the day was on the icy side, so we'll call it Frozen inspired.

Very pretty!

Yes, I'm aware of that. But I conceded and told her that we would take the bus.

I refuse to pay for an extra driver.

So of course we had to take some pictures on the bus.

Sweet picture.

We need to take more time at AK to take pictures along the way...so much to see.

I did bring Yeti along. He wasn't very active on this trip, but he was home, so he had to get involved.

So glad Yeti made the trip.

I asked Mom if she was afraid of the ride. This is the face I got.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: love your Mom!

So we decided to be scared together.

That's how I REALLY looked when I was waiting to get on.

Was it the right answer? No it wasn't. I'm so sorry I offended you by being in a public space simply trying to get to the counter.

Seriously, same as in line for food, you ALL don't have to be there.

I have been told that my dirty looks can melt even the bravest soul. Apparently it worked, because as soon as I turned the dirty look on them, they couldn't even look me in the eye.

Mission accomplished.

I can see that for sure!

We obtained our photo quickly after that and headed on our way. I wanted to be free from the entitled grumpy people.

In the shop, I took note of the fact that my Yeti's hard partying lifestyle has gotten the better of him. That or he needs a bath.

Nope...your Yeti is well loved.

We headed out of the shop and I caught this lovely picture.

Very pretty.

And of course, saw another PP photographer, so couldn't resist that.

More great photopass pictures.

So where would we head off to next? Hmmmm.

Up next: You think you look like you're sleeping, but again....you just look cray cray.

I can't wait to hear.
