They Don't Eat Hash Browns in Princessland - May 14 COMPLETE! 2/8 pg. 73

Oh travel days. They can be so unpredictable. But they give us all something to remember the vacation. Love how the rental car place was just throwing people in random cars.

Sooooo Jealous you stayed in a Royal Room. I need to stay there on my next trip. Its on my bucket list of places to stay. I just love the ground at POR.

The spa sounds amazing, and its nice that you can use it all day.

I know! It's a total crapshoot on a travel day. Like a bad box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.

They're beautiful! I highly recommend the rooms.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a man so excited to eat peanuts :rotfl:

The mansion buildings are so beautiful...take me baaaack! I'm excited for Pop but I will miss my Riverside.

I commend you for trying Disney makeup in that heat. Since we always go in the summer, I'm like eh, I'll just wear concealer. I love the Elsa look though!

Isn't it CRAZY going to the food court so late? Normally we're there at 7:30 and it's pretty dead. One day we got there at 9 and it was a zoo.

:lmao: Your mom's face!!! That's totally something my dad would do, and my mom would have a similar reaction.

I've never heard of a zero gravity chair before but it is something I need in my life.

The spa treatment sounds so nice, and I love the color! You should definitely do it after PHM, that would be such a nice way to treat yourself after a long run!

My Pop is super excited to eat all kinds of things. Generally he's just easily amused. :rotfl:

Whenever I'm at a resort that's not my favorite, I'm always missing the favorite resort. It's a vicious cycle.

It is insane to go to the food court at peak time! We typically never do, but man. It was a madhouse.

I totally want a zero gravity chair. I would own one if I could.

I'm totally talking everyone into doing one after the PHM.

All caught up!

You have SO much restraint for not saying anything to the woman behind you. I bet it was hard for you to just sit there in silence and not say anything huh?!:headache:

I started busting up at work with the hulk gif!!!:rotfl: Cus i'm pretty sure i've done that a few times myself!

I love that your pop always looks happy in every pic. He's so cute:cutie:

OH MY GOSH the royal room looks AMAZING! I would so stay there! The details are so fantastic. I never even considered using DVC points to stay in a Moderate. Is the point value not worth it?

I love the way you do your eye makeup! I wish I could do cool, vibrant colors, but I don't think it would look good with brown eyes. Your blue eyes are so versatile. What pallate is this?

:rotfl2:your moms face after the loogie comment.

Ahh, that pedi sounds nice....uhh except for that irritating noise coming from the guys phone.

It was really hard to sit in front of that lady! In general it just resulted in me just sighing a lot. And rolling my eyes. :rotfl:

Haven't we all done the Hulk Smash before? :lmao:

Pop is a pretty happy person when it comes to Disney. Every other day it could be touch and go, but once he's on vacation he's in happy land.

We would have stayed there on points, it's just that they actually don't allow you to use points for the Royal Rooms. You can stay at POR, but not in a Royal Room. At that point, I just don't see the point. I would rather spend the points on a DVC resort then.

Believe me, anyone can do bright vibrant colors. The trick isn't the color of your eyes, it's actually working up the shape more. Try it! I love it. That makeup look was actually from three palettes! I have a sickness. The base purple was a from the Urban Decay Electric Palette, and to get the orange tone around the eye I used the Sugarpill Burning Heart Palette, and an orange from the BH Cosmetics Brazil Palette. I have issues.....

Oooohhhh that guy. *shaking fist*

I think it's very nice of you to bring towels and pillow cases so you don't stain theirs, not too many people would be that considerate!
Mom: Ooooooo, you have potatoes! (takes a bite).

Pop: How do YOU know I didn't loogie in those potatoes?

Aaaaaand that, my friend, is why the readers flock to your reports. :rotfl: :lmao: Love the silliness!

I've never been to a spa... or had a pedicure... I think I have a slight touch phobia or something because all that stuff just turns me right off. However, I can see the appeal and wish I would enjoy it, because it sounds so relaxing! (Except for keyboard tap man. UGH that would drive me insane!)

Oh no! Poor Pop!

I'm in, girl you are super funny. Loving this TR so far.
We went to Star Wars weekends too, I surprised my boys, but we just went for a couple days (we live in Florida now). Can't wait to read about all you did and saw. :goodvibes

So the Senses lounge at Saratoga is co-ed? That seems weird, to be in a robe, with a strange man clacking away on his phone!!

Can't wait to see where you are staying for the next resort!

I am going to stay in that room one day! I love Jasmine and that is awesome how she is in the center :)

Hahahaha, awwww thanks! People like our silliness, I know. :rotfl2: Although I don't think I'll ever reach Brenda's level of popularity. ;)

That's really common, people not wanting others to touch their feet. My Mom used to have that problem, until I finally took her for one, and she realized the error of her ways.

Thanks! I just try to bring a little humor into everyone's day, because sometimes I think we don't have enough.

I'm already planning a trip back next year for a short SWW visit with my brother. :thumbsup2

Love following along and getting your take on POR! We will be there in November. :) Thank you for sharing!

Thanks! We were only there for one night, but we have stayed before. I think it's a great resort.

I'm not gonna lie, I was totally taken back at first. But then figured we're all in robes anyway. Obviously, they separate the locker areas. :rotfl2:

The rooms are beautiful! I highly recommend them.

Okay that delayed arrival disaster was even more painful in TR form than it was on Twitter/Instagram. But OMG, that Royal Room!!! I need to stay in one someday. All the details are simply precious!

And the spa at SSR looks just as heavenly as the one at GF, I may have to give that one a try soon!

Ah that spa looks beautiful! What a great way to begin your trip! I need to make notes! And I really dislike obnoxious! It seems it gets more and more prevalent! Poor Pop and the sunburn! :sad2:

Is your Mother speaking to you ???:rotfl2::rotfl2:Love it Danielle !! I post pix of me like that :rotfl2: Also of Carol who if she ever was on the Dis would kill me !! So when Dissers say they know her she really has NO idea :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Love the pics of the exterior of POR. Looks so pretty and peaceful!

Sounds like a really nice way to start off your vacation (minus phone-clack dude).

Yay, a new report! Can't wait to follow along!

I'm glad you're here!

Hahaha, I totally made it extra painful, didn't I? But in reality, that's totally how it all went down. For real though.

I loved the Royal Room! Even if it was for only one night.

It's so beautiful. Definitely make a trip over there at some point.

It was the perfect way to start our trip!

Obnoxious is totally all over the place. You just can't avoid it anymore.

:rotfl2: Yes, thankfully she is speaking to me. I disclose everything on my TR's, and she's fully aware of it. Not that it's always her favorite thing but meh....what can you do?

It's a lovely resort! We stayed there a few years ago, so it was nice to see it again.

Hi! I'm new, but subscribing to your TR! :) Looks quite interesting! :goodvibes

:welcome: I'm glad that you're here.

Day 2 - Friday May 16, 2014 continued:

We had just left of reliving the fact that my Pop had really really sunburned legs from sitting by the pool waiting for us to come out of the spa. Poor Popadon. During the entire trip, it totally came up at random times during the day. He'd look at me:

Pop: My legs feel tight.

Me: That's what sunburn feels like.

Pop: I know...it's uncomfortable.

Me: That's what sunburn feels like.

Pop: But....

Me: THAT'S WHAT SUNBURN FEELS LIKE!

It did go away eventually, so don't you worry all of your pretty little heads off. I know my Popadon is the star of my TR's normally. He was not harmed (a lot) during the making of this TR. Only slightly burned. And possibly maimed. Oh, and hit occasionally. Other than that, he was all good. :thumbsup2

It was about 12:30pm at that point, so we figured we would head over to the Boardwalk to check-in. We had a one bedroom villa on this trip. We normally stay in studios, but there were several changes that occurred, resulting in us only being able to get a one bedroom villa. However, at this point, I don't think my Pop will want to stay in anything but.

We figured to check in and leave the baggage since it was unlikely the room would be ready. It was still on the early side. Pop drove to the front and dropped us off, while he dealt with having someone get the baggage and valet. If there's one thing that I don't like about the Boardwalk, it's the fact that the parking is in Timbuktu, so we valet.

As we headed in, a CM with an iPad approached us and asked us if we were checking in. She then got our name from us and then said to be prepared for some magic, because our room was ready! What what!

As Mom went up to the check-in desk, I took some lobby pictures.

It only took a few minutes to get checked in, and Christina, the lovely CM at the front desk, checked our magic bands to make sure they were all ready to go. Pop came over and started his charming act. Which he just does with the ladies. I can't quantify exactly what he does....but I think it's something like this.

She was just cracking up at him, which happens often. He was so chatty with her that he actually left his book at the counter and she had to call our room to tell us he left it up there.

Once a charmer, always a charmer.

We had a lovely view of the villa pool.

Yay Boardwalk! I love this resort.

My bed for the week. The sofa bed is a fancy one. You don't even have to pull the cushions off. You just pull it out. How cool is that!?

This is actual documentation of me responding to a text from Caitlin (PrincessCaitlin). She had texted me that she and her parents were at the Ditch (otherwise known as La Cava del Tequila), and she had a cucumber margarita. Which I highly recommend. I lovingly refer to it as a drunk little cucumber.

I told her that we had just gotten unpacked and settled in, and that we were heading to Epcot for a late lunch. So we planned on meeting up already! Originally, we weren't supposed to meet up until later that evening, but the stars were aligned! Of course, I had to get changed, because we were going to DHS later, so I had to have my Star Wars gear.

I love that shirt. I was also in the process of still laughing. Why?

Gotta keep em coming! Plus, he has to uphold his reputation you know. We were just being silly honestly. It's what we do!

Soon we were heading out. The beauty of staying at the Boardwalk is the ability to walk through the International Gateway. That will never get old for me. This was Mom and Pop's first stay at the Boardwalk. I was excited about it.

I believe he was threatening to punch me in the face. I have no idea why he would do that!

However, he was super excited to be in Disney!

Our plan was to eat at a few of the booths around the Flower and Garden Festival before heading over to DHS for our FP+ times. Caitlin said they were finishing up at the Ditch, so we headed off in that direction. As we were walking towards Mexico, I thought for sure I saw Caitlin's parents, Dawn (Dawnbu40) and Dale, standing by La Hacienda. So I walk over and say "Dawn?"

Don't you totally love it when people just randomly call your name? I think it was better than just running over there and hugging people at random. You know. Because we totally feel like we know each other now, right?!

Thankfully, Dawn didn't freak out (thanks Dawn!) and Caitlin came over shortly after that. Our first official DISmeet of the trip!

Which my Pop soon became obsessed with. Every day, he'd ask me "so who are we meeting today?!" all excited, because he was absolutely loving the attention he was getting.

They are the absolute sweetest people, and I could totally see spending a lot of time with them, because their family dynamic totally reminds me of the dynamic I have with my parents. We just chatted about all kinds of things. Sports, Caitlin's start of the DCP, what the plans were for that night. It was brief, but it was a really great way to start the trip.

AND...because if you don't get a picture of it, it didn't happen, here is a pic of Caitlin and I. She's so cute! Making me feel like a giant. LOL.

We parted ways at that point, because we had to eat some lunch since it had been a while since breakfast, and they also had other plans. But no worries. We would be seeing each other later that evening.

Continued in next post:

Love the room!

And love the t-shirts!

You rock them! You lost so much weight, you look awesome and radiant! You are a true inspiration.

Continued from previous post:

At this point, I was hungry! So so very hungry.

I had mapped out the booths. Now, the food and wine festival is my favorite time of year (which I am also going to this year...WHAT?!), and since F&G now has booths, well...I had to map them out. So I had the map of WS and the booth locations. We were there for the final weekend of F&G, so we were going to be hitting up Epcot all three days basically. We didn't have tons of time on this day, but we figured we would do what we could.

Our first stop was the Jardin de Fiestas booth.

We got the Taco al Pastor (corn tortilla filled with achiote marinated pork garnished with grilled diced pineapple, onions, and cilantro).

Plus, the Quesadilla de Hongos Con Queso.

Now, while Mom and Pop were waiting in line to get those beauties, I headed over to the Pineapple Promenade to get two of these lovelies.

Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade

Okay, I'll tell you right now, I totally got the violet lemonade again when we came back. It was soooooo good.

See, I don't drink calories (unless it's alcohol). I drink water only. I cut out all soda a year ago, diet and regular. So vacation, I allow myself occasional treats. No soda still, but this lemonade qualified as a treat. And it was AMAHZING!

The taco was very good. A little spicy for me. Remember from one of my previous TR's. I'm that person that would totally say: man that milk was spicy.

The quesadilla was awesome. But I mean, come on. It's a tortilla filled with cheese. What's not to like?

I hadn't seen these beauties in years!

It was off to our next booth for Dad. Urban Farm Eats.

Where we got Ghost Pepper Dusted Tilapia with Crisp Winter Melon Slaw and Mint Oil (featuring the Original Sauce Man's Kick It Up Rub).

Mom and Pop really enjoyed this. They said the tilapia was really mild (you say ghost pepper I say NO WAY!), so I took a bite.

This could have been a disaster. I took a bite of the slaw, which was apparently the spicy bit. I had no water. My violet lemonade was gone.

I literally just walked around with my mouth wide open hoping that the air would cool down my tongue!

Thankfully......it got better. I mean, if you were in World Showcase on 5/16/14 around 2pm and saw a really tall girl with short red hair walking around with her mouth gaping wide....that was me. :rolleyes1

Next, it was off to the Fleur de Lys booth in France. I was looking forward to this one. Because I wanted the slushie. The pretty pretty pink slushie.

La Vie en Rose slush.

This was really good. If you like the Grey Goose slushie you would like this. It's a lot stronger than the GGS, which me likey very much!

We also got Gnocchi Parisien a la Provencal (parisian style dumplings with vegetables and mushrooms).

With Confit de Canard, Pommes de Terre Sarladaise (pulled duck confit with garlic and parsley potatoes).

Both of these were incredibly yummy. I would totally get them again. The duck was especially good. This was a first for me, I'd never had duck. I'm not a picky person, just not something that I'd had before. I would certainly get it again.

After that, we had to start heading over to DHS, since we had our FP+ times coming upon us. And, I had another important DISmeet to get to. Who could it be, who could it be?

Up next: Let's meet by Bo!
