They chopped the lawn mower tree

I don't check it all to often, but when we were there with Kari's parents for the first time, they cut it about 15-20 ft high. I guess they wanted you to still see the lawn mower... but now it'll never grow...

Much more growing and you wouldnt be able to see the lawnmower anymore. It does make you wonder how much longer the stump will last before it starts to rot, though.

I stopped and looked at it this morning and took this picture.

The color still looks fair but, it is covered in small holes. I'm not sure if it is from an insect, a bird trying to get the insects or what.I wonder how long it will still be around. It sure seems like over a year ago that you could see way less of the mower.

Disney imagineers are right this very minute constructing a new lawnmower tree. It will appear some night while we are all sleeping and no one will know. This is true. A bus driver told me.

I had heard tell of this cutting....but never realized it when I was there. Now I know why........the tree is still tall, and I was just too short to see up to the top.

I heard the otters had a otter door in the back of the "chuck wagon" at the campfire, and after everyone left, they went in and got smores supplies and went to fire and made em every night.

The small holes in the bark means it was infested with pine beetles. It was not long for this world once they attack!
