They Call Me MISTER PIG- He Said, She Said (9/1 Lights, Thunder, Fantasmic? Page 47)

Becca, thanks to your review of the luau, I booked HDDR today. I think the kiddos will really enjoy it and the parents will have an awesome time (since beer and sangrias are part of the program :) )

You are probably right about Kidcot and the overstimulation. Maybe During October I won't see it as wasted time. . .since we will be doing the food and wine festival at the same time.

Woohoo! :woohoo: on HDDR! You will love it. Oh and the Sangria is yummy. Plus it makes the show funnier! ::yes::

Do you have a PTR? If so I need to join or catch up or try to remember.

See if I had an adult drink Cat could have colored for an hour and I wouldn't have cared. I think next time I need to get one before she sees any stations. ;)

I need to do a PTR--I started one for when we were going in August, but alas, the whole idea of August went to the wayside. Gratefully so, since we were at 104 yesterday!:scared1: I've been looking forward to Sangria at HDDR since I saw it on the menu!

In neglecting my household duties tonight I stumbled across your TR - much more fun than doing laundry, that's fur sure!

It has been a hoot to read! I particularly want to thank The Cat for her awesome review of The Neverland Club. I have been scouring the boards, googling like a mad woman to try and found out some details on this place other than the price and the menu. Finally found some pictures the other day. We signed up our DS-5 the other day so Mommy and Daddy can have some fun in the parks sans child. The Cat's review is the best, most informative thing I've read about the place! Yea!! Thanks!! :thumbsup2

Sorry you didn't like the Luau. I've always thought it would be a good time, but after reading your review, I'm glad we haven't done it yet. So many good places to eat and shows to see, hate to spend the money and time on something not that great. You were right about the eye candy though :thumbsup2 Glad you're feeling better. My DW also burns very easily.

Can't wait for the next report

Great trip reports, can't wait to read the rest.

Thanks! :goodvibes He comes back from the beach tonight so maybe I can talk him into it.

There are so many good places to eat at Disney I just can't see ever redoing the luau. Just not worth it, IMO

A Kindred Spirit! I spend a lot of time on Dis neglecting housework. ::yes:: I have to say we thought the Neverland Club was very cute and the CMs were very nice. I highly recommend it.

If you restart one send me a link and I will happily sub.

I found your TR a couple days ago and now I'm all caught up. I love the He/She style. I think the luau that we went to in Hawaii was just as bad as the Disney one you went to :( Who knew Luau's were all hype :confused3

Great report to read. :goodvibes

Thanks! I am glad you are enjoying it! :goodvibes

I am glad you found us. See I have been to a few Luau's in Hawaii and most (not all) have been really good. This wasn't even close to those. Even the worse luau I have ever been to in Hawaii was a million times better. Its a shame that you didn't enjoy you Hawaii Luau. Some of them (done at sunset on a cliff over looking the ocean) are so beautiful.

Hey! There you are :) Being sick is no fun at all. The sunburn is almost all gone. I mean I am still pink but no longer bright red, which is so much better.:cool1: The weekend went okay. Cat and I spent a night cuddled up in my bed eating popcorn and M&Ms and watching movies (disney of course;) ) There was a nasty incident involving a broken glass and my foot which I wont get into. It was not happy but I am actually doing okay all in all.

Loving the trip report! Sounds like you have had a nasty run of luck with your allergies and the sun, Yikes! Tell He that he needs to get off WOW and post some funny. We are also WOW folk although more often than not I am surfing and he is playing. I am also loving the orange soda count for me it was lemonade.

Yeah the allegies were not good to me but its was still an amazing trip. WoW is so very very addicting. He needs! to get several of his characters to 70 before the expansion comes out. Or at least that is what he keeps saying ;) but lucky for you I stole his wireless adapter last night and I now have an update to post! :rotfl2:

I’m Glad I Don’t Live in Italy

She Said – Oh sleep is good. Sleep is great. Sleep means that you can wake up all bright and early and no one whines. And less whining mean less beaten children. I had read that in the UG that eventually everyone hit a wall. I scoffed. Not me, I said. I had planned afternoon breaks on a few days. We would be fine, thank you very much. I was wrong. But back to the good new, having spent a good portion of our previous day in bed we were all refreshed and recharged, which was good because we had to be up early.

We had an 8:05 ADR at Tusker House, which meant we needed to be on the first bus to AK, which meant a 6:00 am music-only wake up call. But that was okay. Because like I said, very rested people here, no beatings required. Life was good.

He Said – I was so much less grumpy. Like, 100% less grumpy. Now with vitamins Aye and See!

She Said - Cat was happy because she would get to spend another night at Neverland Club and spent a good portion of the day asking if it was time to go there yet. Again I highly recommend it. Plus it makes for the happier parents, which means -you guessed it- less beatings for the children! Yay!

We had no problem getting a bus to Animal Kingdom. I think thee might have been one other family and they didn’t have a breakfast ADR but whatever. Cat had her pin to share stashed in the backpack on the lookout for a nice child to share a little magic with. This turned out harder to find than I thought it would be.

He Said – Maybe when they give kids those share pins, they should tell them to look for kids who need a punch to the face or something. Ugh, terrible childrens.

She Said - By 7:20 we were at the AK gates, behind two people waiting for the Tusker House breakfast. Cat pin traded with a CM and was actually very well behaved about the wait. At 7:55 they let us in (quiet a line had formed). They don’t give you much walking time do they?

We made our way, rather quickly towards the back of the park, but stopped when I noticed a photopass guy walking our way. Oh yes! Yes! Yes! Empty park pics! Of course the bright sunshine made us look all washed out but who cares! There are no other people in our picture!

day6a.jpg

Oh yes, the braided pigtails… see I know I am not 14 but they looked so cute on Cat that I thought… errr… yeah. I like pigtails. I am too old to like pigtails. I already know this.

Somehow even stopping for the picture we were the second family to check in (and the first to be seated). The CM’s all loved Cat’s outfit. We had a really amazing server, very friendly great guy. Really.

He Said – Tusker House was the rocks! It was my favorite house. It also happened to be my favorite breakfast. They had delicious juice (I got much more this time than at Ohana’s) and they had a great selection of meats, breads, muffins, and tons of other breakfast yummies. The service was exceptional, the place was wonderfully themed, and I loved it. I highly recommend this ADR. Not only that, but you don’t have to completely wind yourself trying to get on the Safari!

She Said – This turned out to be my favorite breakfast, our server kept the juice coming, the food was so yummy and hot. And best of all I met another Dis’er! Princessamie! She recognized my autograph book from my PTR! She was so nice and her son was so cute. Its nice to get to say meet someone from the board. After that we were greeted by an old friend:

day6b.jpg

She Said - Goofy was quickly becoming part of the family. Cat of course always had to thank him about the Toontown thing. Hey at least she was grateful. Next we were visited by Donald and Mickey (who was in an awful rush) and then Daisy. Apparently He isn’t just partial to the human variety of Disney ladies.

day6c.jpg
day6e.jpg
day6d.jpg

He Said – Picture yourself standing nice and comfortably out in the middle of nowhere. Then, out in the distance, you notice the entire quantity of water behind Hoover Dam coming your way. Your cringe, and after a few moments you see that the wall of water is a wall of bodies, coming to drown you and smother you and beat you to the Safari ride. The CMs wait with sick delight as the wall rushes toward you. Just as the first of the pyroclastic flow of bodies is within arm’s reach, the CM drops the rope and you have to make a mad dash out of there. You run, and know full well how Simba felt when the crazed, half-retarded wildebeests tried to trample him. You break the crowd and luckily make it on the first truck out from the Safari Ride. That was our adventure.

She Said – I really loved KS. I had no idea how close the animals were. We had a baby rhino come right up to the vehicle. That edge in the picture? The side of the truck. Cat was mildly freaked.

day6g.jpg

He Said – I loved the Safari! That place was decked with all kinds of animals, and our truck was nearly destroyed by a baby rhino. Nearly destroyed I tell you. This ride is pretty good for anyone over age 3-4, but don’t take grandma if she’s easily spooked. She might lose her prunes or something. I can’t give away too much though, it’s one of the best things in all of Disney!

She Said - From there we went down the Pangani Trail. It’s nice and there is a lot to look at but the main reason to go is to see these guys:

day6k.jpg

She Said - No, that is not a post card. He just really rocked the camera.

Leaving we came across these two with no real line:

day6h.jpg

She Said - Luckily Cat had been watching non stop Tailspin two weeks prior to our trip so she knew who they were (if not in original context) She later told me that they were missing their clothes. Yup in Tailspin they have nifty shirts and hats. Oh how I miss that show.

He Said – Tailspin! I used to watch that every day! Oh to be young…

She Said - From there we made our way over to Maharajah Jungle Trek. That is so well themed it is mind blowing. It is just beautiful. And who doesn’t love the tigers? We also stopped to take a few more pictures and then to get some ice cream before lining up for Nemo: the Musical

day6j.jpg
day6i.jpg

He Said – At first I didn’t have a lot of hope for the Nemo show. To be fair, I had not seen any pictures or heard anything about it. I was shocked at how amazing it was. It’s perfect for everyone. The way its done is slightly awkward at first, but you’ll be amazed at how well it all fits after just a moment. This is an absolute must see. Maybe not as must see as the Lion King show, but way up there.

She Said – The songs are just okay but the show is outstanding. Those performers are amazing. I loved Dory (but I have several Dory shirts so that should come as no surprise). I also loved Mr. Ray. It is well worth the time to go see it, not as good as the Lion King show but still very good.

We had a late lunch ADR for the Coral Reef so we decided to head over to Epcot and see what we could hit of the World Showcase so we hopped on a bus. We made sure to get a stroller as we entered Epcot which is good because there would have been whining without it.

It is my belief that the World Showcase is only meant to be seen either under cooler temperatures or with an adult drink in hand. We had neither. We also didn’t have a ton of time. We basically did a drive by of it, stopping to see what we could but not really getting into it.

He Said – I would have loved the World Showcase if I were a) trashed and b) not burning up completely. I was not nearly as spacey as I was when I ate at Le Cellier and “Oh Canada’d” my way through that particular area. I was hot, tired, grumpy, and ready to find Club Cool. She said it was somewhere around here. She said that… at every single freaking part of the World Showcase.

She Said – I kinda knew where Club Cool was, I just wanted to get to see all of the World Showcase. He was not happy. At least we were able to see Jasmine and Aladdin. That made the Cat less displeased with the whole outing. And yes He was now in love with Jasmine but that’s okay because I had Aladdin.

day6l.jpg

He Said – Club Cool! Finally! Free refreshments! Free! Free drinks! I had the watermelon drink, and some other drinks, and they were all nice and tasty. I thought I would fit in perfectly if I were able to drink all these nice drinks from all parts of the world. More correctly, most parts of the world…

She Said- He was enjoying himself. I had to take a picture:

day6m.jpg

See how happy he is? Then came Italy’s drink of choice - the Beverly.

day6n.jpg

He Said – DO NOT GO TO ITALY. Italy is a bad place, full of bad people and bad refreshments and bad taste and we do pizza better than they do. Just to give you an idea of how awful Italy’s beverage of choice was, it took 3 more cups of watermelon, a lunch reservation, and half the evening to get that horrible taste out of my mouth. If I ever forgive Italy and decide to visit that place, I will be most careful. Ugh. I could have nightmares about the entire incident.

She Said - He would have hung at Club Cool for several more hours if I had let him (to continue to wash the Beverly taste out) but I couldn’t. We had a lunch to go eat. Coral Reef here we come!

On the Next Webisode of Mister Pig: Fish Are Friends, Not Food!

Great installment, Becca!:thumbsup2 They never fail to make me laugh!

First of all - you are never too old to wear pigtails in WDW! They looked cute!

Happy to hear you like the Nemo show. We missed it in Nov.; my DD and I will be there in 11 days and it's definitely on our list. (although I must admit we're both a bit peeved they took away Tarzan Rocks! Talk about eye candy - Tarzan! )

He's opinion of Beverly - hysterical. Can't believe you didn't partake of some alcoholic beverages from around the world, though. Hope you got a chance later.

Great update! I miss tailspin too:) I agree that Nemo is a great show and my dh would definately agree about Beverly :lmao: I'm looking forward to more.

:rotfl2: He's Club Cool experience is hilarious!!! On our November '07 trip, I was STILL traumatized by the Italy Beverly experience I had in April '06 - the memory was so fresh that I refused to drink ANY of them just out of fear that they may have gotten the hoses switched up and I might mistakingly get that one again!!! :lmao: Too funny!

Looking forward to your review of Coral Reef - we're eating lunch there on our departure day this trip. :surfweb:

GREAT installment! I just happened to fall on your TR by accident :)

I never hang out at the TR board as it reminds me how much of mine I have left to do

I love, love your TR and I think your family is so cute!!
