Are those Hives or Are You Just Happy to See Me?

Neverland: A The Cat’s Prespective

The Never land club was fun on the first day I met a lots of friends. And I did lots of art. I made my brother a birthday hat and played little pony. I played the little pony most of the time. I liked playing dress up. The kids were about 6, 7, 4,5 years old and there were only girls there but I don’t know why. I had pudding and grilled cheese and I wanted lemonade but I got Coke. At the end I fell asleep and my mom carried me to the car. It was a lot of fun and I want to go back.

LOVE your trip report The Cat!!!! You should definitely write more!!!!

She-glad the tea bags helped....been there with the sun burnage, it's not a fun thing

LOVE the Neverland report. That is the sweetest thing. I'm glad all your expired FPs worked! Sounds like a fun end to a tiring day. Oh, and sorry about the hives. Did you ever figure out the cause? The very clean bathroom lady?

I tend to think it was that Bathroom spray. I tend to breakout over certain types of cleaners. Though that nurse was VERY sure I was just sunburned :rolleyes1 I was surprised how well expired FP worked at most of the parks. They just barely glanced at them and let us go.

I am loving this trip report. Cute pictures and I absolutely love the format. I especially loved The Cat's Neverland report.
Future Disboard girl!

I think He is worried about her becoming a Dis-er. She read all the comments over my shoulder and was one happy little girl. Glad you are enjoying it!

Cat - Thank you for your review of the Neverland Club. You did a really good job!:thumbsup2 I think you write just as well as your mom and dad!

Cat read all of the comments and the first thing she said was "I bet they would loke me to tell them more than you." ;) Gee aren't we humble?

Sounds like a busy night. I have to agree about the Disneyland comparison, there are a few rides that are just better there. Pirates has always been one of my favorites and I definately left it a little disappointed. I was glad to hear that Cat enjoyed the Neverland club. DH and I started talking about making a trip without the kids sometime.:rolleyes1

It was a VERY tiring night. Since I went to both WDW and DL as a kid I had everything very jumbled in my head. I was so sad when I got off Pirates. I totally recommend The Neverland Club. Us parents deserve some of our own Disney magic!

Another fun report to read. I agree with a number of the comments you made. Pirates is much better is DL:thumbsup2 . Space Mountain is very jerky and uncomfortable for those over 6' and 200 lbs:bitelip: You are right about HM. In DL you go down and in MK the ceiling rises.

LeCellier is okay, but not as good as many of the reports you read. Last time we were there we waited 55 minutes to get seated with an ADR. The hostess who checked us in screwed up. The manager was very apologetic and gave us a couple of fastpasses for any ride in EPCOT.

CAT's report on Neverland was precious.

Woohoo! I was right about HM. In my head it made more sense for it to be the other way around since MK is one level above the ground but I guess not. Poor He and Space Mountain did not get along. Oh well. Neither He or me got what the big fuss is about Le Cellier. We liked the setting more than the food... not excatly high praise.

Love the Cat's input! Also, kind of ironic how you talked about the nurse at WDW thinking your hives were from sun poisoning, which you said they weren't, but now you have it. Hmm....not funny, just ironic. Hope you feel better real soon!

~Beka~

I know. He just brough that up. But I can safetly say that I did NOT have sun poisioning at WDW. This is much much worse than what I had there.

LOVE your trip report The Cat!!!! You should definitely write more!!!!

She-glad the tea bags helped....been there with the sun burnage, it's not a fun thing

Oh dont encourage her! She already wants to take over. ;) I was surprised that the Tea bags worked as well as they did. Thanks so much for that tip

Becca--glad to see you are back up and about! I hope you have plenty of aloe for that skin.

Thanks. I have almost gone through a whole bottle!

Ok, I must say, I am usually a lurker, with few questions. But I have truely enjoyed reading your trip report! I began reading late last night, and kept reading until my eyes crossed. I had to find the thread tonight so I could catch up. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the format of this trip report!!! I can't wait until the next webisode!

Yea! De lurking! Welcome! I am glad you found us and are enjoying our little report. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

-Becca-

Take good care of that woman, HE! We need you both to hear about the rest of this trip! BECCA - feel better really soon, lots of rest, water and aloe! Take it easy and come back to us when you are better! THE CAT - thank you sweetie for your wonderful review of the Neverland club! It sounded like you had a great time! :cutie: :)

Glad to hear that you are on your way to feeling better! Take it slow and easy and keep that man working for you until the moment he leaves! Remember, ALOE! :)

The Aloe is helping. I am still all lobster like. It is not my cutest look. BTW Cat loved all the feedback about her report. She decided that people like her more than me. Humble, no? ;)

-Becca-

Glad you are feeling better. Love the report and waiting with great anticipation for more. And for goodness sake, stay away from those tanning beds.

She Said- Sorry this took so long. Thanks for all the well wishes. And yes the sun is not my friend. We are currently not seeing each other and won’t for sometime to come.

A Necessary Evil

He Said – We woke up late. We got dressed late. We got on the bus late. We arrived at the park late. The idea was to get up early and get in MK during the extra magic hours starting at 8am, and ride everything in Fantasy Land. We shuffled in somewhere around 10am. We needed the extra sleep, or I was going to behead someone. The EMH at MK attracted hordes of people. I’m sure that if everyone there would have said “moo” at the same time, the resounding noise would have destroyed the castle and all the magic contained therein. I will have to coordinate this experiment on my next Disney vacation. Needless to say, people had immigrated there like mad, and there was no border control.

She Said – When I got the wake up call at 6am, I thought that there was no reason to get up this early. We only had a lunch planned. I completely forgot about the EMH and herds of people it would bring. My bad.

He Said – The Cat had a list of things she wanted to do. She wanted to see the Dream Along With Mickey Show, and ride Peter Pan and Test Track again. I deposited She and The Cat in front of the castle, and ran off to get Peter Pan fastpasses. I came back in time to see Donald getting yelled at by that Maleficent lady. After the show ended, we hopped over to the Crystal Palace for lunch. The check-in there was the suck, but lunch was nice!

She Said – Somebody really needs to rework the check-in at Crystal Palace. Also, someone really needs to rework the switching from breakfast to lunch. Both took an obscene amount of time. They gave us a pager. Thirty minutes later a guy came out calling names and finally called ours. We wondered why we even got a pager at all.

He Said – I liked the scenery. It’s perfect if you want to douse your little girl in more of the gratuitously cute crap Disney has an endless supply of. I’m rather aggravated that they don’t have more stuff for males. But enough of my pessimism. The food was pretty good. We crossed the halfway point for orange sodas consumed. 40/75… I think. I dunno. My tongue is still orange.

She Said – I think I ate my weight in green beans. We do a lot of veggies at home and were on a veggie withdrawal at Disney. Cat nearly met me bite for bite of the green stuff. It really is very pretty inside though the characters took longer here than at any previous meal.

He Said - We saw Pooh and Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger. I rather like Tigger. I have an unreasonable hate for Piglet. I’m completely annoyed by him. I’m not sure why.

day5a.jpg
day5b.jpg
day5f.jpg

She Said - I mentioned to He that I was surprised they served ham with Piglet in attendance. Cut to less than ten minutes later where the character handler CM playfully yells at the table next to us because “BACON!” She pointed to Piglet who was making his way over and back to the plate and shook her finger disapprovingly. I laughed. I would have never guessed a CM would share my sense of humor on the situation (at least not so openly).

day5c.jpg

After Piglet got done visiting our table it was time for the 100 Acre Wood Parade. Cat loved it.

day5d.jpg

What did He think about it?

day5e.jpg

I give the Crystal Palace a solid B+. Next trip we will try it for breakfast.

He Said – I totally put on twenty pounds there. Buffets are my weakness. Apparently we were completely nuts and wanted to come back later that day to ride Splash Mountain, so I was off again for fastpasses. The crowd I ran into, and I swear this, was the biggest, most tightly packed mess load of sardines I have ever seen. Even as a big person, I’m naturally good at predicting crowds and weaving through them (politely I might add.) There was no wiggle room. I had to wait, dart into openings, weave, and generally commando my way over to the fastpass distribution area. I had the same problem getting out of there too. I was finally free close to Liberty.

She Said – While he was braving the immense crowds, me and The Cat rode Peter Pan and went into the gift shop to watch Tink fly into the dresser. This caused some problems because The Cat wondered why Tink was so big at the parade, smaller on the ride, and even smaller in the gift shop. Luckily, a CM was there to explain that she was magic, and could alter her size. After a few quick pictures at the sword in the stone, we decided to ditch that place. (None of us were apparently going to be the King of England)

day5g.jpg

She Said- There was no way we could stay in the Magic Kingdom and keep our sanity. It just wouldn’t happen. The crowds were too large. I really didn’t want to be too far off the monorail so to Epcot we went. This turned out to be a good choice. We went to Innoventions and I let He play with basically whatever He wanted. Cat could care less about anything there. She was glued to the Kidcot stations. We are at Disney and all she wants to do is color. ::Hits Head Against Wall::

He Said – Remember what I said about her wanting to ride Triceratopspin? Yeah, that feeling is back.

She Said - I saw that the What’s Your Problem? thing was about to start and dragged them over. It is a cute little presentation which is basically a giant advertisement for Velcro but it seems to me everything at Innoventions is an ad for something. There were only about 25 of us in there. The first game was building a tower but it had to start with a pyramid, the second involved ugly ponchos and Velcro-ing bags to them. And then it happened. They looked at He and called him on up! The game he got? Baby Wrangling! (okay so not the official name but it should be)

day5h.jpg

He and another gentleman donned very manly purple aprons. And a conveyer belt was placed between them. The goal was to Velcro a diaper on the baby, then a bottle, and then stick it to your apron. The Test Baby:

day5j.jpg

He is a much focused manly man:

day5i.jpg

Ready Set Go!

day5k.jpg

It was so funny. The Assistant (Co Host!) kept slamming the babies down HARD on the conveyer belt and lots of the babies ended up falling off on to the floor. He took her lead and would grab a baby and slam it down just as hard. Poor babies. They never had a chance. So how did He do?

day5l.jpg

He totally creamed the other guy. He got a button I believe. It was nothing too special but very funny and made for some great photo ops.

He Said – I dare you to beat my awesome high score! Velcro needs more powerful material for sticking babies to aprons. I don’t think they should market that concept just yet.

She Said - From there we went over to Nemo. We had yet to see Turtle Talk and it was on my list of must sees. The ride had a five minute wait so we once against felt Peaches’ pain about the singing and then made our way over for Turtle Talk. It was already rather packed so we didn’t see much but we were waiting right by the sting rays. I love the tiles that tank has. They are so shiny! Yes I am easily attracted to shiny objects!

They let us in and The Cat nabbed a spot with the other kids in the front row. It must have been our lucky day because she got called on. I think she asked him what he eats but honestly I don’t remember because somehow Crush was asking her about who brought her and she answered “my mom” before I had time to think I had a mic in my face. “Hiya Crush!” Oh wow. That turtle would not leave me alone. Really he wouldn’t! He kept talking about parenting being hard and at the end informed me that we had “shared a moment”. I was 50 shades of red.

He Said – There’s nothing like seeing your special person two shades from burgundy.

She Said – We stopped at the Gift Shop and bought The Cat a pin set to commemorate the occasion. The Crush one she had to keep but the others she could trade. Cat had spent the trip getting more and more pin obsessed. We also picked up a Mine, Mine, Mine shirt for He. Believe it or not it was time to head for our dinner ADR. (See how much you miss by sleeping in.) We managed to get the front seat on the Monorail to the Poly but from TTC it wasn’t a very long ride. However it was nice, and Cat loved it and we got our Co Pilots license.

We headed down the walkway to check in and pick up our tickets. Yes, you guessed it! We were going to the Spirit of Aloha Luau! We were told by the front desk at Pop to never ever pick up your Luau tickets early on the dining plan. If it rains and gets cancelled it is much easier to deal with if you don’t already have your tickets. Thought I would pass that along. The forecast had called for rain but it was looking fine as we got there. We were given our leis, made to take another photo, and then finally lead down to our table.

We had Cat.2 seating which was on the 2nd tier, first table against the railing. This place is not set up like HDDR, one quick glance and you can tell that some seats are horrible. Anyway pictures!

day5m.jpg
day5n.jpg

He Said – I did not like luau. It was hot. The food was a C in my book. The show wasn’t entertaining to me until after that poor firedancer burned his hand. Our server was not quick on the refreshments. Pardon my pessimism, but I was generally unhappy during the entire thing, mostly because I was completely overheating. I wouldn’t suggest that other people see it, go to Hoop Dee Doo instead. By the way, I did not eat like a pig here. I wanted to, I really did, but the food tasted weird. Lots of sweet and spice mixes. I don’t like sweet with my meat.

She Said – Our server was downright rude at one point. The show was hokey, and probably would have been a lot better if we weren’t dying from the heat. Anyway there was a ton of eye candy

day5o.jpg
day5p.jpg

He Said – We ditched that place just as a thunderstorm was trying to bust some moves. In some twisted form of hope, we rode the monorail to MK. We thought that it might clear up. By the time we arrived at MK, it was obvious that the storm was coming to eat us. We escaped the monorail and hopped a bus back to Pop after electing to skip the Spectro Magic show. Considering how pooped I was, I think it was a good idea.

She Said – He went back to the room and Cat went with me to the front desk of Pop. I wanted to get a print out on our spending thus far and also double check that they had changed over credit cards. It was a good thing Cat came because she got a Year of a Million Dreams pin to keep and one to share. We also stopped by the food court. We were hungry after that not good Luau food.

He Said - I must sadly inform you that we, the commandos of the theme parks, the crazed park hopping enthusiasts, totally crashed. I don’t remember what time we went to bed, I just know that to a normal theme park commando, it was shameful. Shameful, evil, horrible, but completely necessary. We were gonna rock it tomorrow. Trust me.

On the next webisode of Mister Pig: I’m Glad I Don’t Live in Italy

Hey, great update! I was wondering about the luau. Glad we didnt' try it now. The pics of He with all the babies strapped to him are halarious! :rotfl2: Ya never know what kind of crazy game you'll end up playing at Disney! I'm really enjoying your report, keep up the good work!

Great update. I haven't been posting just lurking lately. I am sorry for that . I just read the updates and then put away the computer because baby Grace keeps pressing the buttons on the computer. She is trying her best to get to the buttons right now.

Great update! Sorry to hear you didnt like the luau. We did it a few years back but DH and I had the stomach flu a few days before that so we really didnt eat much just so we wouldnt have to look at it again!:scared: Glad you're feeling better - what is sun poisoning anyway? Is it like a really awful sunburn? I dont think I have ever had it, thank goodness, although I tend to turn a lovely shade or pink when out in the sun for, oh, 5 minutes.

Phew! I've finally caught up! Haven't been around here much lately, and I think I just read 4 or 5 chapters!

Of course, I had all kinds of comments that I now forget.

Becca, I loved your PPP outfit! Does look a bit hot, though. Cat looked lovely as Giselle and in her Minnie Dress. Sorry you were all a bit tired for Chef Mickey's. It's one of our favorite traditions! Bless you for braving Dinosaur and EE with hives. What a trooper!

I have always heard pretty lousy reviews of the Luau. Just about two weeks ago, I heard a great one and was almost swayed. Thanks for reminding me that it's not worth it.

I am on the fence with regard to Le Cell. Like it. Don't Love it. I agree with He that an Outback filet suits me just fine!!

Hope the sunburn is faded and you aren't peeling too terribly. Looking forward to the rest!

Ok - the picture of HE with the babies stuck on his chest is just about one of the funniest pictures I've seen around here! So cool He got chosen!

Sorry the Luau was a bust; I always wondered about doing it. But we have yet to do HDDR yet either, so I think I know which one I'd have to make the priority.

I know how yoe feel about the whole Kidcot thing. I had three kids in Disneyworld and spent all of that money for park tickets (I know it was $850 for all of the days, but in my eyes, it was 850) for them to sit in Kidcot and color--like they couldn't color at home!!!! This time around, I'm going to remind them they have new outfits on and that they can't get Sharpie marker on them. Maybe then we can see more of the attractions in the World Showcase.

Thanks for another great webisode! Sorry to hear about your sun-poisoning. I tend to burn really bad, but don't often get sun-poisoning. My mother used to get it real bad, so I know how awful it can be. Yes, we were THAT family on vacation - all covered in towels on the beach. My mom and I got burned so bad one year we had to see a doctor! :bitelip: We were practically purple. Of course, those were the days before sun block. Well that's my excuse anyway! :)

The Luau just didn't work for us... the food was just not good enough, It was nothing like actual luau food (I've been to several) The show isn't bad but it is too much money to see a cute show and go home hungry.

I loved He with the babies. He was so cute up there! Maybe I should have half a dozen more? ;)

Great Update! :thumbsup2

Thanks! :goodvibes

I feel your pain on that one. The Baby is obsessed with the computer mouse. If he sees it there is no hope for me to get on at all.

Did you guys enjoy the Luau? I am always curious about what others think. I think part of the problem was the heat. Too hot to be eating outside. Makes He very grumpy to be that hot.

Sun poisioning is a really bad sunburn but you get dizzy, nauesa, hives, and blisters from it. Its your body getting so much sun that it is toxic. I am really good about putting sunblock on. I am like you about turning pink right away without it. Still me and another girl who put on sunblock religiously every hour got very sick and very burnt. The sunblock was waterproof but we think some of the really harsh chemicals at the waterpark killed it. :(

Phew! I've finally caught up! Haven't been around here much lately, and I think I just read 4 or 5 chapters!

I'm glad your back! The PPP dress was hot and heavy but totally worth it. I do love to dress up! Obviously so does Cat- she wants me to sew her Giselle's Curtain dress for Halloween.

The Luau is not worth the money. Its just not. Not even worth the dining credits. I would stay away.

Maybe we were expecting too much with Le Cellier. But the way people talk about it on Dis you would think it was a five star resturant. Sadly it doesn't live up to all the hype.

I am peeling... which is not fun. But my skin is still all burn under where I am peeling! :scared1:

Yup HDDR is the way to go. Dont even think of wasting all that money on the Luau. It was not a good choice on our parts. And I too love the pic of He. He looks so manly with all of those babies! :rotfl:

Me and He were talking this "coloring issue" over last night and I think that Disney is so MUCH stimulation that the kids need down time to do simple things.Doesn't make it any easier to think of all that wasted money :(

Great update!

Thanks!:goodvibes

Oh that is no fun! I actually ended up in ER over it. I went to see my doctor and he sent me over to ER because I was so dehyrated and had so many 2nd degree burns. They have me lovely pain meds and happily little IVs and I was able to rest without children tugging at me. Its amazing how heavenly a hospital stay can sound. :rotfl:
