They are going to drain The Rivers of America

EVERY report, CM comment, etc that I have heard indicates that Fantasmic! is returning in the summer.

I think it's funny that we all are surprised it's not very deep. After all, there really is no reason for it to be deep - and yet we are all surprised. Funny.

Honestly I think what it is, is that you see the 2 boats The paddle wheeler and the Sailing Ship Columbia, and you think of their weight and think they will need more then 6 feet of water to sail around.

interesting they'll pull F! two years in a row. But like a pp said, I am sure it'll need a good cleaning as perhaps they didn't get around to putting that one their list this time. :goodvibes

I agree... Its probably over due. Im not complaining, its just kinda crazy. Its not one of thsoe common refurbs you hear about. They must have good reason, and if they are going to make Fantasmic better for us, then let them do what they have to. It is going to be awesome when its done.

I think you are probably right. I know I thought it was probably at least 8-10 ft deep all the way around. It does make sense that it isn't tho, I guess it really doesn't need to be that deep at all.....still seems odd.

Hey, when they are doing this why don't they use that time to work on the Fort over on TSI?

They don't sail. Only the canoes actually navigate the water. The bigger ships run on rails on the bottom of the river. You can see them in the photos.

But... they don't sail. Ahh, the magic of it all. :wizard:

ETA: ltnsmom beat me to it.

well, that is a real bummer. we were hoping to go in march 2010 for our 55th Anniversary Trip and of course it will not be the same with an empty rivers of america! maybe we will push back to november/december 2010...
We were thinking of May 2010 for Food and Wine..hope it's filled again! I just hate to miss Fantasmic.
