So- today I've been planning my ficticious trip to WDW May 1-8.:goodvibes

It's going to be just me and Mark, on our (late) Anniversary Trip.
We will be staying at WL woods view:lovestruc, getting 7 day park hoppers, with the DxDP.

We will be eating at :
(The starred ones are ones we haven't eaten at before)

TS:
Artist Point*
TeppanEdo*
Kona (Breakfast)* (we've eaten dinner there-)
Liberty Tree Tavern
San Angel Inn
Jiko*
Le Cellier
O'Hana* (or possibly Narcoossee's*--)
California Grill
Tutto Italia*

And then of course we'll throw in a few others-- b/c we'll have some credits left over. (We''l probably do some later breakfasts-)

We'll have 42 total TS credits and 28 snack credits between the two of us. I think that will be sufficient for us.

I also sort of penciled out which parks on what days-- so I had a tentative plan of action.
Shelly was my inspiration--:goodvibes and Shel, you will be proud of me when I say that I only planned 2 (Possibly 3) rope drops. :scared1: AND I planned LOTS of resort down time and relaxation time throughout the days.

Heck-- one day, I don't even have us going to a park at all!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused3:scared1::confused3

And you know what? I really like my plans!:goodvibes

It will be a different vacation for us to do it that way- but the WL is so beautiful- I want to be able to relax and enjoy it a lot.

And I'd also like to see some of the other resorts that we've never been to-- I want to take a boat over to Ft Wilderness, and look around AK as well.

We'll also watch Wishes! From the beach at the Poly or GF one night too.

So see------- relaxing Anniversary Trip!!!!!:goodvibes

I knew I could plan it.:rotfl:

Jo

Well look at that. I inspired somebody!! You need to post that on my PTR!!! J/K :lmao:

I love the sounds of your plans. Sounds wonderfully relaxing. :cloud9: Has Mark heard about it yet? I bet he is going to love it! Hope a great deal comes out for you soon so you can book! :wizard: I plan on checking out WL when we are there for dinner in November. So it may be next on our list!

Awww - bummer about the bunnies Jo. We had a bunny tragedy last year when a neighbors dog got in the yard and got it.

Nice trip idea - WL is very similar to the Grand Californian out here. I don't remember if you had a chance to walk through it and check that out. I hope you are able to book it soon.

Shelly - Glad your party went well and that you survived. :cool1:

So today we spent most the day cleaning my MIL house. I found another Disneyland postcard with a lenticular on it. And a picture of my wife when she was about 3 years old standing up in the bathtub wearing only a Donald Duck hat! OMG we just laughed and laughed.

We got home and took showers and now we are going to head out to have dinner. I am starving!

Jo- we just heard Tebow was injured.:scared1: Sending a little Mayer magic for a speedy recovery.:wizard:

Now back to read all that is going on.

My parents arrived last night, and Em's party is tomorrow. I'll check in again when I get a chance..and hope you are all well, happy, healthy and having a fantastic weekend.:goodvibes

Hey everyone.

yes, Superman is indeed injured.

We were watching it delayed b/c Belle went to see the movie w/her class. I knew something was wrong b/c about 2 1/2 hrs or so into the game, my Mom called and asked if we had started watching it yet. And then she said - kind of really weird sounding, "Okay- well, it's allright. Everything's cool." Which used to be my Dad's code language for "Something's definitely NOT right, but we shall travel along anyway and see how it ends up."

I had told her not to call and tell me anything happening in the game b/c she was watching live. But she didn't want me to worry once I saw it myself. That's the reason for the call.

So I didn't think much else about it- thought at the time that maybe we were playing bad b/c Tebow has the flu.

When he got hit- before he went down- I knew he was hurt. I could feel it, just as the rest of the fans could feel it.

He has a severe concussion. Rumors are that the CT scans show no bleeding on the brain. Thank goodness.

You know- Gator Nation has come to love and care about him so much as a person. We all love his football skills, but Tim Tebow the person is what is special. The win tonight was completely overshadowed by his injury -- for all the fans. He's just unlike any other player out there.

Here's what he said to our coach right after he came off the field--
"He asked me 'Did I hold onto the ball?"' Meyer said. "I told him he did and he winked at me and said 'It's great to be a Gator.' "

Thanks for prayers for him, Lake. He and his family need it right now. It still may or may not be a serious issue.
The next 72 hours will be telling.

Shelly- glad your party went well.:wizard:
Lake- Happy Birthday to Emmy!princess:
Sea- hope dinner was good.:yay:

I'm off to bed.

GO GATORS!

:goodvibes

Jo

Sorry about Tebow JO. Football is such a rough sport. My kids are never playing it!!! Too many injuries!

Another soggy day here. DS7's soccer game was cancelled. As of now it looks like DS10 will still be playing. :sad2: That will be real fun. NOT!

Shelly - Glad your party went well and that you survived. :cool1:

Sea

Thanks Sea! :goodvibes All was well and we are now done with big parties for 2 years!!

Jo

Thanks JO!

Well they ended up cancelling DS7's game today. Not sure why, but they cancelled all the "in-house" games. It did rain hard all night and was still raining at noon today. I think they figured the fields were going to be a mess even if it did stop raining. At 12:30 I got the call that they were cancelling. So I had to make a dozen or so phone calls. Then it started to clear up. I knew they wouldn't cancel DS10's travel game unless it was thunder & lightening anyway. So he had a home game at 3:30. Remember when I told you guys he was kind of down on himself about soccer? That's why I was really hoping he would get picked for student council. Well today he started the game on the bench, as usual. Don't even get me started on his coach. :sad2: Then he finally went in - for 5 minutes. Then back out. Then after awhile he got to go back in. Usually at this point he is so disgusted he doesn't even try. Not today! I guess he decided it was time to prove himself to his coach. He scored a goal (his first since starting the travel league), then had an assist which lead to a goal for a teammate, then he scored another goal (I so wanted to go say a few things to his coach, but I remained in my seat. . . :rolleyes1), then had another perfect assist!!! I am so proud of him! We ended up winning something like 8 or 9 to 0! His coach never did take him back out of the game. :rotfl:

Shelly----

I LOATHE coaches like that. Let me guess- his son and his son's friends are all on the team??????:sad2::rolleyes:

Congrats to your DS!! It takes them awhile sometimes to meld with the other players, to get their mojo going.:hippie:

So glad he did so wonderful.:lovestruc

Well- I think Drew has the Swine now.:sad2: Fever-coughing-aching. Going to keep him home from school tomorrow and go to the Dr. I'll make myself an appt as well b/c I'm convinced mine has turned into a sinus infx at this point.

Hope all is well in MAYerland.

Jo

Oh yes JO, I have a few not so nice nicknames for his coach!! :lmao: I know, I'm bad! The thing is that I had a little chat with the coach after the first game. I waited a few days after the game so I would be nice and calm and I called him. I told him that I realized that this was DS's first year in travel soccer and that he was one of the youngest and one of the smallest kids on the team, but if he would just give him a chance he would pull through and score goals and make assists. The second game came and it was the same as the first, he started on the bench. He did get a little more playing time, but not a lot. And you know what happened today! He did exactly what I told that coach he would do if given the chance. I bet he was thinking "that pain in the "behind" mom was actually right!! :rotfl: He better get to start next week.

The thing is DH coaches too. He is coaching DS7's team this year. And we make sure ALL the kids get equal playing time. No matter how good or not so good they are. No matter if we are winning or losing. We make sure that if they didn't start the game this week, they will start next week. And everybody is happy!!

Oh no! I hope Drew doesn't have the swine flu. You guys can't catch a break, can you? Get him to the Doctor asap! I sure hope you guys will be feeling better very soon. :flower3:

Wow! The MAYers are busy.

Sea - So sorry about your kitty. I am sure Jeremy was freaked about it. Is he OK? It's kinda hard when you have your first "roadkill" as a driver. We have suicidal squirrels in our neighborhood. I swear, they just run out in front of your car begging you to run them down. I ALWAYS feel bad when I hit one. I guess that feeling never goes away.

Jo - I was watching a bit of the Auburn game last night when they replayed Tebow's hit. Ouch! Keep us posted as I know you will be following it.

Shelly and Lake - I am so glad the parties went well!

Morning all.....

Jo - i'm glad u might have a trip coming up.... nothing on my end about a trip to wdw anytime soon. :(

Shelly - almost time for you to leave.... i'm so excited for you....

Nothing really interesting on my end.... i have 3 exams this week... psych, chemistry and english.... i forgot how crazy it was to go to college...

Morning MAYers!

Hey Mari. Thanks for checking in. I hope all is going well for you at school! :wizard:

Did you guys hear they released the 4/3 deal? Well I think it is officially being released on Oct. 1st, but some people are calling today and getting it. 4/3 at moderates & deluxes, 5/2 at values. I think it may only be Jan-March. Not sure. Just a heads up!! :goodvibes

Morning all.
Just checking in quickly.
Emmy's party was yesterday and it went great.
My mom and dad are staying till thursday which is nice. So they will be here to share more cake on Wednesday when Emmy actually turns 5.
My dad and I are starting to finish the remodel of our basement...extra bedroom and office added. Taking down an existing wall that is in a bad place adn moving it to make room for two rooms instead of one... I am so excited and office and csrapbook room all to myself. My husband is soooo good to me.

Jason flies to Chicago this afternoon till friday. :(
But on the plus side...more hotel and airmiles points for us later.

Have a great day all.

Good morning Mayers! Really tired today. Went down to DL yesterday to celebrate my birthday and to check out the new Halloween things at the park. I will post up pics and stuff later.

Shelly - Congrats to your son on his game - awesome!

Jo - Bummer about Tebow, hope he is going to be OK. Drew has the flu now? Lame!

Mari - Hope your exams go well this week!

Lake - Glad the party went well for Emmy. How many kiddos did you have?

NC - Suicidal squirrels - sounds like a name for a band! Jeremy is OK now - we told him these things just happen - it's not like the animals can understand what a car can do to them if they get in the way.

Sea

Hey all. Just waiting to leave to go to the dr with Drew.

Pretty sure it's the H1N1. His BF was dx with it on Friday night. They had been together all day in class.

Happy Birthday Sea--- was your Bday yesterday?????? You forgot to tell us!!!!

Hope it was great!!

Jo

Good morning Mayers! Last day of my vacation, then back to the grind tomorrow. Trying to get stuff done today, laundry, mopping, cleaning the bathroom, oil change in the car, car wash...how relaxing, huh?

Hi Mari -- sounds like school is keeping you busy...good luck on all your tests :wizard:

Jo, sorry Drew is sick now! Poor guy  hope he feels better soon...

Shelly and Lake, glad the parties were fun :thumbsup2

Sea, Happy Birthday! :bday: Bet I know where YOU went to celebrate :goodvibes

Gotta get busy on my errands...I started my DL TR but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do the link properly, where you just click on the title! I tried doing it in standard HTML code, but it didn't work  If someone can explain it to me, let me know :teacher: But until then, at least the link works, so there's a start...
