Oy, your head!!!!!

You needed either 2 Excedrin or four Advil and a coke. ALways with a coke.

I hope it gets better before you have to go get your hair done. That will be awful. Ask soemone to give you a mani with lotion rub down while you're there. Or a pedi- reflexology and all.

:banana::banana:

Whelp- poor Chloe and her long walks. And poor Aubrey with the wrong class- but dang- I thought that was a girl name too. Some of these names these kids have nowadays is really confusing to me. Ashton. I think girl- can be boy. Bailey. I think girl, can be boy. Nevermind about the poor kid named Flavor Balls. Um, yep- I'll save that one for another day too.

Anyway-- glad Chloe loves MS.
Drew-- bless his heart, he's just a Mama's boy. He always has been. Never wanted anyone but me around him, holding him, looking at him.:confused3 If I am there- he is fine- as soon as I'm not around , he panics.
The bus situation scared the fool out of him- he has to get on one bus, go to one school, get off that bus- transfer to another bus and takes that one to his school. It's chaotic. And he panics that the bus will leave him b/c he can't find the right bus.
And then, he does the reverse in the afternoon- but yesterday they didn't account for how many kids were actually going to be riding the bus  and so there weren't enough seats and they had to call in some other buses--- and some kids were transferred after forever to the waiting busses and long story short--- he got home 45 minutes late, and he was nervous b/c he thought I was going to be worried about him. So when he finally saw me, he got in the car and just wailed.:guilty:

I have to put them on the bus b/c Drew and Belle both get let out of school at the same time and their schools are clear across town from one another-- and the traffic here is awful. So then I felt all guilty b/c he was upset.
He said his teacher is nice but strict. It's not elementary school anymore, and the teachers act like it.:sad2:

So that's my Drew-Boy story, sad but true.

Oh yeah... nice article, too.;)

:rotfl:

Jo

Afternoon MAYers!

Well I take back the pleasant day comment. I came out of my PTO meeting to another hot & humid day. I am starting to feel pressure right between my eyes. I sure hope I'm not getting NC's nasty headache.

I hope Drew has a better day today JO. Stupid buses!

You must have gotten the humidity from us. :sad2: It was so thick on my way to the trolley this morning that it was hard to breathe.

Blah.

I just want a hot sunny summer with zero humidity and no rain... unless it's when I am sleeping.

Mother nature? Got it?

K, thanx! :flower3:

Slow day in here. Where are all the MAYers???

I guess everyone is busy with back to school stuff.

Where are our west coast friends lately? Busy planning their DL meet up I suppose.

JO- how did things go for Drew today?

I've got to go to a soccer meeting in about 45 minutes. And we are under a severe thunderstorm warning.

Trix & Lake - Spring break - March 12-15. Also - Winter break - Feb 12-15. We could probably do either for Frankenmuth. Pretty high chance of bad weather in Feb though. But we'll see. . . Just something to think about!

West Coaster checking in!

Ah, just been crazy...feel like I've been working 8 days straight. Got Mom settled in and she loves the place, but needs so much more. We've been over there almost every other night to bring a shower curtain, her laundry, a new TV, etc. Since it's a studio, she needs better/more efficient storage and shelving, so off to IKEA after church on Sunday to pick some things out. And don't remember if I explained this, but one of the main reasons I had to move her out here quick was that my stepfather of 28 years abandoned her :scared1: and she doesn't drive, so it was really bad, she couldn't make it to the store, the bank, the pharmacy, do her laundry, etc. So now I'm trying to negotiate the legal separation with a lawyer in Idaho and my stepfather is in Montana :headache: We are trying for a legal separation because neither one is motivated to re-marry, and that way Mom will still be covered on his medical insurance -- very important factor when you are 79 years old, ya know? :sad2:

We also had impromptu house guests all week, since my brother in law (my sister Pat's widower) drove Mom's stuff here in a UHaul and brought his 9 year old granddaughter (he's raising her on his own now). And of course, there's that little side chore I have called A FULL TIME JOB :rotfl2: So, yeah, it's been insane...

Shelly -- YAY FOR 80 DAYS! Even less now :goodvibes

NC -- Yep, Jo's right -- a cold coke can be the best cure for a headache :headache: (I know this for a fact from my old partying-hangover days...) :rolleyes1

Jo, aw, sad story about poor Drew :guilty: I remember my oldest son was 15 last time I took him to DL, and we were all wiped out at the hotel and he wanted to go back...we were only staying about 1/4-1/2 mile away so we told him he could take the hotel shuttle bus back if he wanted to. But he got confused about which bus to take back, and that was definitely a Bus Panic Incident, poor guy was stressed and freaking out. But he'll be 26 this month, did 6 years in the Air Force, and I no longer worry -- he travels around pretty good now  And...uh...I'm no football fan, not at all. But DANG girl :goodvibes Mr. Tebow is pretty dandy... :cloud9:

RF -- wow, hope that is the real WDW deal! Makes me wish I could go back, but won't be for a few years. Oh, and prayers for your Aunt Jacqualine. I had a hysterectomy about 10 years ago -- not for cancer, but for fibroid tumors, but haven't had issues since. And how do I link to your TR?

Lake -- I know you'll keep us updated on little Malik...so sorry to hear the prognosis. Lots of prayers and good thoughts being sent for him and his mama. And you, too  Enjoy your weekend!

All the talk about the humidity in your areas makes me appreciate when they say, yeah, it's hot here, but it's a DRY heat. I still remember our first WDW trip in May, getting off the plane, and saying...omigosh...so THIS is what humidity is like :scared::faint: Ugh. Katiebells do NOT like heat and humidity. :sad2:

Good morning! :goodvibes Yaaay it's Friday!

Some girlfriends and I are having a chick flick marathon tonight. We're watching Practical Magic, Never Been Kissed and Steel Magnolias.

Should be fun. :goodvibes

Morning KB! Here's the link for my TR. I think the 1st part of it got shut down because it was inactive for like 2 months. But if you start from the link that's posted in theis TR, then move on you'll be all caught up! :goodvibes

I'm here RF! :yay:

Did laundry all morning. Then went on a bike ride with the the kids. Came home and made lunch. Then checked the SW rates for my trip. And hey they are down to $154 from $159 :woohoo: what a deal, I should jump right on that!!! NOT!!!

Thanks for checking in KB. Sounds like you have been pretty busy! Boy would I love some of that DRY heat you left coasters (as JC used to call you - I miss her!) have. We either have cold or hot & humid most of the time!!

Hi Shelly! :yay:

That sucks about the SW rates. I hear NOV is a little more expensive... but hopefully it will go down for you!!! :wizard:

I am getting so agitated.... :headache: I am still trying to find my notes to do the rest of my TR. They got lost somewhere in the move and right now I am just going by memory.

And...no one besides you guys is reading it. :guilty:

How do you get such a following on your TR's Shelly? I need some pointers. Apparantly I am super boring, except to my MAYers. :snooty:

Thanks for humoring me guys. :rotfl2:

I think your TR is super RF!! :goodvibes And you are doing great going off of memory from 3 months ago!

I don't know. . . I had a lot of people from the CBR FAQ, and then some people that I read their TR's and they were probably just returning the favor, then there were the Snowbirds, and most importantly the MAYers!

I think that people mostly read the TR's that are "just back". You know? You had quite a few people following before didn't you? You could always PM them and tell them it's back on since it was closed and you can't post a new link to it. :confused3

Well I for one am looking forward to more!!! :woohoo:

Thanks Shelly! It is so stupid. I don't know why I care. I was mainly posting it for you guys anyways.

But I was starting to feel a little bit like the smelly kid at camp or something.

:rotfl:

I have my 5th day almost all typed up - but I need to upload my pics and that is the part that always takes forever... :sad2:

Well I can attest to the fact that RF is NOT the smelly kid!!

I kind of felt like not that many people were reading my TR either. It only went to 22 pages. I've seen other TR's with 50+ pages. I just don't get into ALL the details, you know? Some people tell EVERYTHING!! TMI in my opinion. :rotfl:

I have thought about starting a PTR for the November trip, but just don't know what I would talk about for the next 2 1/2 months. What do people talk about in PTR's? I haven't read all that many of them. I mean, yeah I could talk about our upcoming trip and where we are staying and what we are going to do, but how long would that take to talk about? A day or two? :confused3

Happy Friday Mayers!

Busy week here in SoCal.

Yesterday, my wife decided to take the caretaker of her mom, Cornelia to Disneyland as part of her "thank you" for everything she did for us. She is 60, from Belize, but spry and full of energy. My wife expected her to poop out by 2 pm because they got there about 8 am. Well, my wife calls me and tells me she is staying...and come on down because we have some friends there from San Diego we haven't seen for like 6 months and we are also going to celebrate another friend's daughter 13th birthday. Oh yea, I almost forgot, the friend from FL is there as well.

Chris and I left Santa Monica around 5pm and got to DL a little bit after 6pm - not bad for Los Angeles rush hour. Met up with everyone at Plaza Inn for some food. Had, salad, friend chicken with mashed potatoes, biscuit and a coke. Yum!

After that we rode Space and then over to Matterhorn - where we met up with our friends from Texas...omg...I think we had a group of 17 people with us then. Matterhorn is so awesome at night Scares you to death! We then headed over to BTMRR - about to get on, then the ride breaks down! We sit down for awhile at El Rancho, could see F! in the distance then the fireworks. A few people left for DTD to Build a Bear, then we later met up with them to then leave the park.

Our FL friend came home with us last night because we are going to give her the LA tour today and tomorrow. Today is Santa Monica Pier, Promenade, Palisades Park and Farmers Market and The Grove tonight. Saturday we are driving up to Big Bear Lake and Lake Arrowhead, then back down to DL for her last visit. We have a full plate this weekend.

Cornelia had a blast, it was her first time to DL in over 20 years. She never wanted to go home. She stayed with Chris until closing - they got home last night at 2 am!!! So Chris missed school this morning...lolol. Cornelia decided to get an annual pass - so we have converted another Disney geek. LOLOL!

I leave you with this picture of my wife and Cornelia on Splash - Cornelia is in the back of the log with a SHOWER CAP ON!!! ROTFLMBO HA HA HA HA!!!!

I agree... I never know what I would even talk about for months before. I mean I guess you could say what you bought and when you get your airfare and when you start packing.... But really who is that interested in that. I mean enough to make a whole thread out of it. LOL.

I saw the people with 50+ pages - that's what made me be like DANG! No one cares about mine. LMAO.

Whatev. I'm gonna keep posting. It's fun for me to re-live our trip. :goodvibes

Trix - You are going to loooooove Twilight. You aren't a traitor! I love them both equally.

I just finished it and I did love it. Edward.

I never told you that I read The Sleeping Beauty Proposal a few days ago, too, based on your recommendation. It was really cute. I couldn't stop reading it...I had to find out how it ended!

Farewell friends...I am on my way to 6 glorious days at the cottage. With no internet service, television or the outside world.:cloud9:

Are you sure you meant :cloud9: to no internet, television or the outside world?

I'm always  when I have to do that.

And I have to do it again next weekend.

Seriously though, I hope you're having a great time!

Oh yeah... nice article, too.;)

Going to read the article now...I got a little distracted by the lack of shirt!

Not that I have a problem with it.

:rotfl:

I'm glad you liked them Trix (....all of them :goodvibes)

I agree.... Edward. :lovestruc

I have another recommendation if you're interested. I think I liked this one even more than the Sleeping Beauty Proposal. It's called 'Can You Keep A Secret' by Sophie Kinsella - the writer of the 'shopaholic' books.

It is super cute too. And really funny! Like, I laughed out loud on the trolley and people looked at me like I was a weirdo funny. :lmao:

I read that one! It was really funny!

Have you read any of the Janet Evanovich "Stephanie Plum" books? She's a female bounty hunter, so there's some action, but they're laugh out loud funny because of the situations she gets herself into. I think the 15th book in the series just came out this summer. I've read them all.

I'm going to get New Moon this afternoon (even though I heard Edward isn't in that one as much). Is that true??? :sad1:
