Great pictures Sea. Thanks for sharing! It looks like you had a nice get-away.

We will be thinking about you and Lena and the boys today.

The kids and I hit the outlets pretty hard this morning! Old Navy had kids jeans for $10! :cool1: I think they are all set for back to school except for DS10 still needs a backpack.

I *may* have even picked up a few things for me for the trip! :rolleyes1

I'm glad you were able to get the ADR's you wanted- within a few minbutes or so. ANd that was just plain dumb that she wouldn't let you book CP. Are you paying oop for that or Free dining?

As far as school---- I know-- they seem to be starting early! But- I am kinds glad they're going-- I will miss them- but they are getting bored b/c it is too hot to play outside- and there are only so many places to go in Arkanasas-- within reason, mind you.

I see a visit to CEC in my future, lol. They had coupons in the paper the other day.

NC-------------------------------

I asked MCat if she REALLY wanted me to go with her all day and she said yes!
I was very surprised.

BUT...
at the beginning of the summer, our family went thru a rough patch with her--- first boyfriend--- and it got very...... involved. You know, first love, teen angst drama and all of that.

ANd I didn't tell you guys b/c it was so emotionally draining for our entire family that talking about it at the time was sort of hard.
So-- anyway- I think she is sort of scared to see this guy and needs her mom to be her Heavy.
And for that I'm happy.:lovestruc My little girl needs her Mom after all.

Being the Mom of a teen girl is hard.:guilty:

I know! :faint:

I think I will stick with online ADR's from now on. It went very smoothly and you can even print out your confirmations!

That is good to know. I may be more of an on-line ADR maker myself. I just hate the waiting, I get so bored. I think I have ADR ADD! (which is probably very true. I think I have ADD for a lot of things.

That is sweet that M-Cat wants you to go. I think if EVERYONE's parent had to go, Chris would be ok with that, but sometimes...

:sad2:

Let's just say he has his moments.

But then he'll be as sweet as sugar and open doors for me, get the groceries, etc.

You just never know.

Hormones!

Thanks!

We will be paying oop for CP. She said "it" wouldn't let her book my ADR. . . :confused3 "It" let me book it online! :rotfl:

My kids aren't bored yet. So I'm glad we have another 4 weeks of summer!

Plus once school starts so does all my volunteer work. :upsidedow

Yes, I am told by many friends that having boys may be harder when they are little because boys are so full of energy and bad! But once they are teenagers I will be glad I have boys and not girls!

Sorry MC and all of you had a rough time about a boy. Hope everything turned out okay.

Hi! :wave2: Gosh, it's good to see you guys again, planning your trips, making your ADR's, etc....

Shelly, sounds like you got great ADR's -- all the places you wanted and at least close to the times you wanted :thumbsup2 Le Cellier was the most memorable meal we had in Epcot, soooooo good. Next time I can go to WDW, I will definitely try booking online, glad they offer that now. My youngest son just turned 18 a few months ago, and he wants to go to WDW with me after he turns 21...that might end up being an epic trip with all three of my sons  Oh, and great deal you got at Old Navy! My best buys lately were from Macy's clearance sales, "additional 50% off clearance prices" w00t! :woohoo:

Jo, I don't do heat and humidity well at all :faint: I really need to find out the coolest, least humid times to visit WDW -- I'm thinking February, before Spring Breaks start? And yeah, time marches on and kids keep growing up...like I said, my "baby" is now 18, how did that happen???

Hi RF and NC, it's great reading and catching up on what's going on in your worlds, too :surfweb:

Sea...I am really sorry to hear about Lena's mom. Big hugs to her  We just lost Tim's dad to lung cancer last month, I know it's so rough to lose a parent.

And speaking of parents...my stepdad of 28 years decided a couple of months ago to leave my 79 year old mom, and she is all alone in Idaho Falls, so I'm moving her to CA THIS WEEKEND  Holy cow...so much to do in so little time! Bought her plane ticket and put a deposit down on her apartment, she is flying in on Friday, and my brother-in-law is driving a UHaul with her furniture and stuff, hopefully will get here Saturday, or Sunday at the latest. Will be a busy, busy weekend...

Hi KB!

Glad to see you again!

Yes, absolutely, we would love to meet you and your son one of those days that weekend! You won't believe all the construction that is going on over at DCA.

Hey, did you see we have another request for a "shout out" video. LOLOL!

Sea

My son Mike is very sociable and loves meeting new people :goodvibes I think it would be a blast to do DCA with you guys, since it wasn't even open last time he went to DL. I'm not positive, but I think he'll like ToT (he is really bummed about SM being closed), I know he'll like Toy Story Mania (he's a HUGE video game fanatic), California Screamin', and Soarin' -- please tell me they are still doing the Aladdin show? And it would be cool to see a bit of the Swing Dancing again -- do they still do that on Saturday night? If so, then let's make plans for a Saturday meet-up! And yeah, another goofy shout out video is in order...

NC- I think in general boys are moody. Drew is sooooo moody sometimes- but then, just like Chris- the next minute he's being all sweet and helping out, wanting to do the right thing.:goodvibes
IDK if anyone else's moms will be there for the first day of school- I'll probably be leaving after the first period b/c no one else's parents showed up and she might die of embarrassment.:rotfl2:

Shelly- oooh- it's storming here too! My windows are rattling. eek!
I might try out online ADR's too next time. They seem pretty easy- but I'm also sort of scared too- that you might not get what you want. Knowing me-- I'll mess up. I like that you have two ADR's to LeCellier. That is funny. I'd keep both- and eat twice.
Seriously- though- I have heard of CRO cancelling double booked ADR's- so be careful with that.

Our little trouble with the boyfriend is over now- but when I came home from Cali is when it all hit the fan. That night. And then all the way to Charleston. And the whole time in CHS. I'm just happy it's over. We learned a lot about one another during the whole process. So that wasn't a bad thing.

But I will say this- I am not looking forward to any more of that kind of drama.:goodvibes

Jo

Hi KB!!!!!! How are you? I'm glad you're back with us! Sounds like a fun time you have planned for you and your DS. Yep---- the heat and humidity in FL is unbearable-- esp if you don't do well in it-- so Feb there would be a good time. We went for our Honeymoon, many moons ago- in March- the 7th- 14th- and it was cool at times- and low crowds. But that was then. It's probably more crowded now.

Jo

I don't do heat and humidity well at all :faint: I really need to find out the coolest, least humid times to visit WDW -- I'm thinking February, before Spring Breaks start?

We don't care for the heat and humidity either. That's why after May 2008 (when it was 90-95 all week and the humidity - :scared1:) we decided we were done with May. :guilty: But we'll always be MAYers! :snooty:

So that's how we ended up going in January. The trip was much better weather wise. Unfortunately it wasn't any less busy than May. Some days even more-so. But it was much much cooler! Temps ranged from 50-82. And very little to no humidity! We got way more done because we weren't all dragging from the heat.

We were headed for another January trip until I got all these great deals for November! Hope the weather is nice then! :wizard:

hi friends.

Just got caught up with you all... you've been a busy bunch.

-Glad all went well with your ADR's Shelly.:goodvibes
-I hope all went well with the service for your MIL Sea .
-Good luck NC and JO on sending the kids back to school...can't believe you all start so early. It feels like summer is just starting here. ( Weatherwise anyways).:flower3:
-KB ..so great to see you agin... hope you and Sea have a great meet at DL.:snooty:
-Trixie...didn't Sea's little getaway town look a little like Frankenmuth..lol ( A German town in Michigan)

Mari - if you check in...I hope all is going okay, and I am thinking of you.

RF- any mail from me yet??????? :rotfl:

Mayers...I have a favour to ask....
My friend Amanda's little boy was just rushed to the Sick Kids hospital in London. The little guy is only 4 and is in need of neurology specialists. What started out looking like a summer flu, has turned into much more.

If you can, could you spare some prayers for this little guy and Amanda herself who is also pregnant while going through this.

Thanks so much.

lake-- praying hard for your friend's baby. Bless his precious little soul. Keep us updated.

What's his name?

Jo

Sending prayers and positive thoughts for little Malik, as well...

And yes, Lake, Solvang looks a lot like Frankenmuth -- but it is Danish instead of German -- definitely the same kind of vibe, though...
