Looks like we'll be doing about 3 days at WDW at the end of January /early February. We promised Jason's mom and step-dad that we would visit them at the condo they are renting in Florida, and then we will do a few days on our own while we are there. So at least we still get a WDW fix this year, just not the long one we had hoped for.

We asked the kids though, what would they rather do, a week and a bit at Disney or put a pool in next year,and they said pool. ( They are really missing our old one right now). We figure in the winter the pool thought would wear off, so we have decided to surprise them with the mini trip instead. (possibly a christmas surprise like Shelly did last year.)

YAY ~ A Christmas surprise! That will be so much fun!

DS7 doesn't even know about the November trip. He really liked the surprise and said to do it to him again next time! He says that he doesn't want to know until the day we are leaving though. Unfortunately that might be impossible with school and all. DS10 thinks maybe we should tell him on his birthday in October! DS10 is enjoying the secret planning with me! He thinks he is pretty special knowing something that his brother doesn't!

Well, I would love to stop in Pittsburgh on my way home from DC but I have to figure out how to talk Delta Airlines into that one!



So, I guess that leaves the WDW in November idea...

I just don't know that I can ever take my kids out of school again for WDW.

We have talked about going Thanksgiving week, but I am not sure if DH was for real or only teasing me.

I just realized that my trip is 4 months from today, not yesterday. I thought maybe I put the date in wrong when I made it, so I went and made a new one. It says 4 months on the mickey path site but after I copy & paste it here in my signature it says 3 months 30 days. . . .

Good morning from LA LA land!

Just talked to my wife. She is just parked and is walking over to the Staples Center. A TON of police, fire and of course media people are here swarming the place. People are stopping her and my son wanting pictures of them with their wristbands and tickets. LOL.

My wife took her new Haunted Mansion bag, she has already gotten a few positive comments...LOL!

Four helicopters are buzzing the sky...this thing is out of control.

Well, I am working on my DC trip today. Trying to finalize things. I was supposed to have a tennis lesson but the pro cancelled. Oh, well...

Patricia- The tour guide bus passes are worth it. Some of them are good for 2 days and let you get on and off at different monuments and museums. When you are ready you just hop back on the next bus that comes along. The evening tour was nice too, seeing all the memorials and monuments lit up with lights.

Just my little tip.
