These Are The MAYS Of Our Lives! V

I'm off to the shower (haven't done that yet today :rolleyes1) and to pick up the girls from school. DD7 has a hair appointment (why oh why do bangs grow so fast?) and then I'm hoping to stop at the library to get the second Kingdom Keepers. I already read the first one.

Talk to you later!

So - I was also thinking (instead of working, because I obviously am doing none of that today) about free stuff that you guys can do.

If you spend a little more time in the WS, you guys can try to see all of the shows that they have there that are free. The chinese acrobats, the hat lady, the juggler in France, the mariachi guys ... There's a ton of different stuff. And the WS is more about culture than anything. Your DH may like to spend some more time doing that stuff. :confused3

Hey everyone! I thought of something DH said while I was in the shower and I had to tell you about it.

We were at botanical garden type place this weekend (they have a whole butterfly aviary) and the girls were playing on their huge play structure outside, acting like total dorks. I commented to DH that DD9 was getting too old to be acting like that (it doesn't help that she looks like she's 12), and he said, "She really didn't have much of a childhood." (Because she's been dealing with her anxiety/panic since she was like 6 1/2.)

Bingo!

Do we need more reason than that to go to WDW??? I don't think so!!!

I'm going again now...feel free to talk about me while I'm not here. :lmao:

I'd like to see the Chinese Acrobats! Has anyone seen them?

I am planning on it this time! We saw them through a crowd last time and it seemed pretty awesome!

Did you ever see the acrobats at the AK? They were performing outside of TH last time we were there - they were pretty amazing too!

I didn't make a room request when I booked. Should I make one? Where is the best spot do you think? I heard that you can make room requests when you check in online. :confused3

RF, when I booked I got so excited when I saw the Room Request thing. Well, it turned out that it was a pull down where you could choose 1 of 3 things. You could request a Pack N Play, a fridge, or something else lame like extra towels.

I have never requested a room.

I have never paid for a preferred room.

We have been in the 60's building twice, once in each building, in the non-preferred section, and in the 70's building with the Mickey phone. The 50's, 60's, and 70's are all preferred buildings, but we have been on the lake side of them which I really prefer. Does that make sense?

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Yes, you should absolutely use that to your advantage! And everything else RF and I said! :rotfl:

Just casually bring it up - you know honey I was thinking about what you said last weekend about how DD hasn't had much of a childhood and I think you are right. Did you happen to see how happy she was at WDW??? :rolleyes1

:yay:

I don't want to pay for a preferred room. I'll just cross my fingers and hope for the best! :wizard:

Gosh- y'all have been busy little MAYers.
Shelly- did ya book??? huh? Huh? Huh???????? I'd really have a hard time NOT booking with such a great deal, SW credits AND a GC!!!! woo hoo. par-tay.

Rf-- you little packer you. how are we supposed to pull out the packing cows at the last minute to help you on your way??? :)

trix... I'm sorry your Dh hasn't drank the kool aid yet. :( What a bummer.
Could you guys go somewhere for a vacation for just you two la place he'd like to go---and then plan a trip for the fam to WDW?
Maybe if you tell him that you aren't forcing him to go NOW... that part of the fun of the vacation for you is the planning part--something to look forwrd to? And you just want to have the vacation on the books tentatively for next year? Would he understand that?
It took Mrrk awhile to understand that for me-- I enjoy thinking of every tiny detail and planning it out minute by minute. He now will gladly tell anyone who will listen that I have to have a trip somewhere out there, or else i'm not a happy camper. :)
Hope you can get back to the Happiest Place on earth very soon.

Jo

PS-- Trixie... just wanted to let you know that if you went in MAY-- they have the Flower festival going on in Epcot---- and they have a butterfly cage.:rolleyes1 Not that I'm trying to convince you to go then. I'm just sayin'...

:rotfl:

oh and I'd totally use your DD as a means to an end. :rotfl: You read my TR from last October... I used the Gators and Tebow to get to WDW.;)

Whatever's necessary............:woohoo:

I'll still need 'em!!!! For some last minute stuff! Gotta have the packing cows!

Hey Trix - You could always tell him sorry for his luck - you and the girls are going without him! :woohoo:

There's a woman on TGM who's going the same week that I am - and her DH is kinda like yours where he isn't interested in going back. So, not only is she not inviting her DH with her, their kids and her mom - but she's not telling him until this week!!! LOL. Good for her.

I tell ya, I clean my house and come back on here and they MAYers have GONE WILD!!!!

Pool Hopping

Viewing videos to induce crying children in order to get another trip

The next thing you know, you will be reusing refillable mugs from previous trips.
