Well it was an offer , and we didn't refuse.
As long as we pass the house inspection, and they get their financing... I may be moving July 3rd.

I'll admit I am still nervous... we live in an older home, built in 1923... so who knows what they can find with old houses. But at least we have an offer right. I'll think positive.

Thanks for all your support... you guys are the best.

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

That is so awesome! You didn't even counter offer???????? wow!!!!!!!

Very restless night last night... couldn't get my mind to stop racing.
The house inspection will be done in the next few days...and hopefully if they find something it won't be anything the freak over.
We accepted the offer, as the came very very close to what we were hoping, we didn't counter offer as with the market being as it is right now, not to mention this city being what it is right now, added to the fact its been our only offer. We couldn't pass it up.

I have to immediately start looking for somewhere to live, they have given us 60 days, but really want 30. I'm nervous but excited. I don't want to get too excited and then have something fall through... but I want to get cracking on the packing and the planning. :scared1:

The plan is to move to a town about 40 minutes from where we are now. It's outside the city, and has that small town feel, without being far away from everything we do and need. Jason can still get to the border in the same amount of time, but be much much closer to work when he is home.
We also have friends and family who live out that way, so I could and will be a great move for us.

Thank you all so much for all your support, and prayers, and for riding this rollercoaster with me. I appreciate you all so much, I couldn't ask for a better group of friends. :grouphug: (and to think we all haven't even met, yet feel like we've known one another a long time.)

So if I could ask of one more favour... could you keep the prayers coming for just one more week... until the inspection is done and the deal is closed. I could use the help.

I'll be here most of the day.
Come on by and keep me company and from pulling all my hair out:eek:

Morning!

lake- I am so happy for you guys-- it's wonderful!!!!! Prayers for your peace and for the exact right house for you to come along.:goodvibes When Mark and I moved from one spot in Pittsburgh to another- we found our house over a weekend, under the gun. So you can do it.

The inspection... praying all is well. How was your inspection when you moved into it and how long have you been in the house now? Maybe there won't be anything wrong at all. We will all be praying for you.:)

I'm going to be in and out today- opening night is tonight-- I think I'm going to get Drew a cookie cake and maybe make him a candy bouqet of some sort. SO I'll be running around all day.

BBL...

have a good one, MAYers.:snooty:

Morning MAYers!

I just had to turn on the computer as soon as the kids left to see about Lake's offer! Congratulations!! Our people put July 3rd for closing too. Which is funny because we moved in here on the 4th of July weekend 3 years ago!

Mari - Here is an awesome site I download Disney World music from http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/sounds.html It has park music, ride music, preshows, etc. Sometimes we will play name that tune! I will play music from a ride and DH and the kids will have to guess what ride it is from! Funny, DS7 always wins!!

Nothing much going on here today. DH talked to a contractor yesterday who pretty much told him more or less what he thought the additional lot was worth with the drainpipes/economy. Much less than what we paid for it. But at least we now know what the potential house buyers have to give us for the house, which is now about $9000 more than what they offered us. So this is probably going to end badly. The realtor is just going to have to tell them that we will never get out of the extra lot what we have in it, so they will have to up there offer if they don't want it or else make us an offer on the whole thing and try to sell the lot themselves.

Morning MAYers! :yay:

1 more day!!! I'll be popping in and out today - I have lots to do still! I am going to the bank to cash in the change from my castle bank  it's not much - but I'll take what I can get!

Going to pay off some bills, 1 final tanning, going to the gym, and picking up a pair of capris that my grandma had sewn for me. I have no idea how to sew.... I once made a pillow in 7th grade - but that's about it. :lmao:

Lake - I'll be praying for you!!! I hope all goes well. Is there anything that you know about that would come up during the inspection?

1 week from today I will be at DTD! Then going to DHS for FDP at Brown Derby, hoping to ride a few things - but going to see F! :yay:

Our home is an older one... depression era.
And when we bought it there were no problems, but over the last decade some things have changed, or new bi-laws and building codes have emerged.

Because it is older, we also have some older wiring which we know may be questionable. But to change it requires going into the walls. And we have never ever had a problem with it. We are just praying all works out in our favour.

We were 24 and fresh out of university when we bought this house. And you buy what you can afford at the time. Now we are 35 and ready for the next one, which will be new and bigger, with more bathrooms. The kids and their belongings have a way of taking away space...lol

Hey Lake~could you offer a home warranty? Do you have those there? When we bought our house, the seller offered one. I guess they cost (at the time) about $300 and covered any major repairs for up to a year. It really made us feel better about purchasing. We never had any issues, but I think when our time comes to sell, we'd probably offer one.

Just something I thought of...but your people know they're buying an older home, and NO older home comes without problems, right?

Have you met the buyers? Are they young? Old? Morons?

I've never heard of a home warranty...and I'd be scared to do that on an older home... who knows what they would want us to fix...

I haven't met the people...kind of hoping I don't have too actually.

But they sound younger. Man with two young kids and his girlfriend.

I guess I didn't explain it very well...it would be like you buying an insurance policy for $300 and then the "insurance company" would pay for any repairs that were necessary. So the seller is only ever out the $300, no matter what goes wrong in that timeframe. :goodvibes

I'll get Jason to look into that... I wonder if we do that here.

Yep, when we sold our last house the buyer put in their offer that we purchase a home warranty for them. It was $400. Well worth it to sell the house!

Where did everybody go???

I had to run out to the bank & post office. Then I decided to swing by the drive-thru at McDonald's. I did get a grilled snack wrap rather than a crispy, so that makes it okay, right??? :rotfl:

MAYers MAYers where are you???

I am having serious Disney depression today! :sad2: I think it's because Mother's Day and our anniversary are coming up next week and we have been at WDW for the last 2 years for those things! :sad1:
