Hope you can find a spot for your pumpkin!

Just when I didn't think I had any space left in my sig I managed to squeeze it in! Remember when our signature space used to be so much bigger? Ah, the good old days. :cloud9::laughing:

Unfortunately, I have plenty of room for my pumpkin in my siggie. :sad2:

I'm trying to hold off on booking anything - but I'm still shooting for May 1st at WDW. Mark just asked "When are we going to WDW? " b/c our neighbors are going on spring break and he thought we were going around that time. So i told him and I said I hated going there w/o the kids and he said "We could go to Cabo".
But truthfully I don't want to go sit on a beach and do nothing. :confused3 I know he likes it -- he said
"But it's relaxing". To which I said "It bores me to tears."

Sooooooooooo- I might be needing to nail down what resort I want and make the down payment and start planning a "sleep all day, go to the pool and do what he wants" wdw vacation- just so he isn't hating Disney.

Hum. Maybe i could go to the beach with him and then try to take the kids to wdw by myself in the summer.

I think I've lost my mind.:lmao:

Jo

What happened to the March WDW idea with the kids?

If you do end up going in May (with just you and DH) just try to do what I do and plan some days full of things and have some others not so full. Gotta keep the DH happy!

I was surprised the other day when we were talking about arrival day. I said to DH that maybe we will just stay at the resort since we are arriving so late. He said - no, I think we'll all want to go and do something! :confused3 Okay, if you insist! :rotfl:

I'm glad he never wants to go to the beach. I know we would all be bored to tears there!

Hey where are you thinking of staying next November anyway???popcorn::

It's hard to say. If we think there's a possibility of free dining, probably CBR. If not, we may try to rent points again. I haven't thought more about it than that. Except that my parents want to go, too. And my sister. :sad2: That is going to complicate things a ton!

You could probably get a 2 br villa cheapest for all of you. If you all want to share that is.

I decided against the renting points for now since Disney almost always has free dining and/or 40% off out anymore. They are both out for my dates in November. Too bad we can't combine!

I am thinking next time we will do the 40% off a deluxe and not get the DDP at all. At least that's what I am thinking right now. :rotfl: You all know that will change a million times!

I was looking into March- IDK- that's still a possibility.

Spring break week. I was looking the other day at the Ft Wilderness cabins. It might be more economical for us to stay there than two rooms at a mod. Esp if I could get a discount or pin.

What I really wanted to do this coming summer was to rent an RV and go out west- to the Grand Canyon- down to Tucson- where my aunt and Uncle live- my dad was from there. Go to Tombstone, tour some cliff dwellings in NEw Mexico and then back thru Texas and home. Maybe a two week trek. So I looked into it- b/c we seriously were thinking about doing it. Well---Those suckers are outrageous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I seriously had complete and total sticker shock. So back to the Ft Widnerness cabins-- they could hold all of us and we wouldn't have to get two rooms at a hotel.

I'm just hoping for something. I really need to keep my BEHIND home b/c Mcat is going to college in 4 years and I have her braces to pay for and two more needing them behind her.

Arrrgh. The frivilous part of me says go- the sane part of me says stay home and put $5K into her college fund instead.

Jo

I know. I go through the same thing. College, braces, retirement, etc. :scared1: We really need to be saving more for those things. But then I look at it like, we are saving for those things (we just could be saving more if we would quit going to Disney) the best we can and the kids are only going to be little once so I want to continue these family vacations as much as possible.

But yeah, the FW Cabins sound like a nice option for you guys. I have heard that they are going to announce some awesome deal for next year soon. :wizard:

Hi KB! Glad to hear that you and Mike got home safely. We had a awesome time together - looking forward to seeing your pictures and reading your trip report! Have a great day - Sea

Just got home tonight...sooooooooo tired. I've been running on pixie dust for 5 days straight, but now that I'm home, I've hit the wall. Need to do laundry like mad, run errands for my mom tomorrow morning, then we are going up to Reno for 2 nights because Thursday is my bday...

NC, glad the elbow's not broken! Mike, my son in the pics, broke his elbow when he was 4 (playing Superman and he jumped off the bunk bed ladder ) and he had to have surgery and have the elbow held together with pins for something like 8 weeks. AND we were supposed to keep him calm and settled down for the whole time so he didn't dislodge the pins -- yeah, right  he was 4 and REALLY hyper :yay:

Jo, I read through several pages...did the doctor definitely diagnose swine flu? :guilty: How's the rest of your family doing?

Sea, great pics and shout (scream) out video! I am amazed you filmed all that stuff on your PHONE  We had so much fun with you guys :thumbsup2 And Chris was so sweet to be the runner for fast passes and we sure got the red carpet treatment with you saving front row seats for the fireworks and Fantasmic! :goodvibes It was great to see you and Lena and Chris again, and wonderful to meet Cornelia...such a sweet lady! It's going to be a busy few days, but I'll try to get a DL TR started over the weekend...

Trixie -- Hermione sounds like a great costume :thumbsup2

Mari -- that would be so cool to attend a Disney wedding!

"I don't have the Swine Flu- I've just got Hog Fever"

Have you seen that shirt??????

I haven't. But I like it! :lmao:

College, braces, retirement, etc.

Those things just sapped the laugh right out of me. I hate to think about those things. :sad2: Fortunately, we are almost finished with the braces... We have paid for DD's and paying out DS's. That's a good thing right?

Yup Shelly, the kids are going to be kids only once. Family memories are the best - over the last 90 days I have been reflecting a lot about this. I am so grateful of all things I did with my mom and dad when we were young kids.

LOL - Swiney Behiney! LOL!

Glad you are feeling a bit better...here is another picture today for you...remember Momma???

Well, the next day at D23 she came as

I just about died of laughter when I saw her...:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Morning my MAYers from Ms. Swiney BEHIND-Y
:lmao:

KB- welcome back- so sorry it's back to reality now. I'm so glad you had an awsome trip- can't wait to read all about it.:) Happy Early Birthday to you-- hope your trip to Reno is awesome and fun. How is your Kitty doing??? How did Mike like DL? He looked so tired in that video.:rotfl:
As far as my DX of the Pig Flu... nope - didn't go to the Dr- I just Dx'ed my own self with all the symptoms. The Dr's aren't testing for it anymore- and only going off of Symptoms. And comparing my symptoms to the ones listed on line- they say if you have 3 or more of them, you have it- and well, I've got them all except the nausea and other pleasantries that go along with that.:goodvibes

Hi Shelly- I'm feeling a bit better today! I think I'm on the mend! Yay me. Fever is still at 100.6 this morning. The aches are down a whole bunch- sore throat almost gone. Still sniffling, sneezing- but not much cough. Just really really weak and still get dizzy when I stand.
Hey thanks for the Punkin- I got to get it into my sig.:goodvibes
Ya'll are having nice warm weather! It was 58 degrees when I got up this morning here- but the last 4 days have been such a blur- I was so surprised when Mark told me it was Wednesday.

Okay- not in bed today, but on the couch in the media room-- woo hoo- I'm making progress. Someone talk at me.

:happytv:

Jo

LOL- Sea!!! she looks more like that movie "Throw Momma from the Train"!!!!!!!!!!!!

:rotfl2:

Morning.

Well the allergies I thought I was suffering from the last 2 days now feels like a plain old cold. Yuck.
And just as my parents are coming to stay for a few days with us too. :(

Other than that, we are now enjoying some summerlike weather. So weird.

Ethan has suddenly taken to an old superheroes and friends show on tv that Jason says he used to watch when he was his age. And last night he said he may want to be Batman or Robin for Halloween. He's never been into the superheroes before, but at least its an easy costume.

I personally think he would make a great Dash from the Incredibles. With his blond hair and skinny body he'd be perfect... :rotfl:

Morning MAYers! :goodvibes

I hope you feel better soon Lake  and that you don't have what miss swiney behindy has! :rotfl: How are you feeling today JO?

We are still having some very warm weather for the end of September. :goodvibes I'll take it!

If you haven't read my PTR, DS10 made the Student Council and is absolutely thrilled!! :yay: So it was a good day here yesterday! I told him when he left for school yesterday to not be too sad if he didn't make it and to remember that he would be in WDW in 45 days. I still knew he was going to be crushed if he didn't make it. His chances were about 1 in 12, since they pick 2 from each 5th grade class. I knew he would do fine on his speech, you know my kids, never shy! But I just didn't want him to get his hopes up too much. After he went to school I sat down and prayed. I felt stupid praying about something so trivial. But I'm not sure he is going to stick with travel soccer. It is just not as fun as soccer has been in the past. Longer practices, more practices, more structured, etc. Those things are hard for him. So foreseeing him possibly quiting it next season and knowing that a kid like him needs to be involved in something I thought maybe student council would be it since he was so interested in it. When he got off the bus with a great big smile I knew things had gone well! :goodvibes

That's about it around here. Tomorrow is picture day at the school so I'll be there all morning.

Let's see if we can finish up this thread today!!

Shout out to all the MAYers from Ms Swiney Behindy.:hippie:

Feeling a lot better today- probably 85% better. Slight slight temp- just a tenth or two of a degree higher than normal for me. WE'll see how it does throughout the day.

Still weak- but it takes me soemtimes a full week to get back my strength when I've been really sick.

Drew is supposed to have his BFF spend the night tomorrow night- so I have to cancel that.:guilty: Poor babies- they've been so excited- but I know his Mom isn't gonna want him here.

Shelly--- that is so wonderful!!! Comgrats to your son! I know he is so proud of himself. Hey--- maybe this is the start of him becoming a politician?!!:cool2:

Lake--- ooooh- a superhero! WEll- you do know that Disney just bought Marvel !!!! Yay for superheros! I'm partial to Superman- but only b/c that's what they call my Tebow.:lovestruc:rotfl:

So today might be my last day of doing nothing and sitting on the couch.:cloud9:
It's been a nice run, even if I haven't been feeling well. :goodvibes Mark has been doing everything- Breakfast, lunches, dinners, making lunches for the kids- taking them to the bus stop, picking them up-- he did 5 loads of the kids laundry, folded it and put it away the other day-- all with him working his normal hours at work.

Yeah-- he's a keeper.;)

Soooooo- hum. WHat should we yap about today????????:dance3:

Jo

Well..Ethan was just invited to the birthday party of the boy in his new class he has been come good friends with ( who ironically is also named Ethan). Problem was that the party was the same day we were having Emmy's. So I scrambled and contacted everyone and have moved Emmy's up to this weekend, so that Ethan can go... I would hate for him to miss this great opportunity to get to know the kids better and us some of the parents.

Got grab and opportunity when you can...

Now off to contact the bakery and balloon place to move up those oreders...:cool1:
It actually works quite well, as my parents will be here to enjoy with us this weekend.

I'm glad you were able to move things around so he can go to his friend's party.

DS7's party is this Saturday. His actual birthday isn't until next Saturday. So he'll be 7 for one more week!
