So I'm a bit in guest planning mode right now in prep for my BFF's visit :) Here's the plans so far

Tuesday - Pick up from the airport at 7:30pm, Wal-Mart or Target run, depending on what we decide.

Wednesday (my birthday! :) ) - Princess Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare @ 8:30, MK all day, Dole Whip (yummy!)

Thursday - Epcot! Might shoot for rope drop, or at least to get there by 10. Knock out all of Future World first. Drinking around the World starting hopefully by noon or so. No ADRs as of right now.

Friday - Universal maybe? Not sure yet.

Saturday - DAK in the morning, just to do the Safari and FotLK then Studios.

Sunday - Back to the Airport :( and rest of the day off from work.

We're kind of planning to play things by ear a lot. We're not stuck on doing anything in particular other than the breakfast and the Around the World right now.

Sounds like an excellent plan!

Here's my suggestion - You could play Kim Possible while drinking your way around the world. I think that would be fun!

I hope you guys have a wonderful time together and that your birthday is extra happy!

13 is old for a dog.

The vet told us Beau's life expectancy is 8 yrs. He just turned 5 last month, and his muzzle is getting all white. He's already an old dog.

Do you give Charlie a baby aspirin every day? We do that and glucosamine/chondroitin. Having a dog is expensive!

Trix-- I'll see if I can find one of our Chritmas pics of Beau Gator.:santa:

Jos

Nope, never given Charlie an aspirin. . . At his vet appointment last September I asked the vet how much longer we should expect him to live (I want to prepare the kids) and he said he is in pretty good health, probably another 2-3 years. . . So now I guess we are down to 1-2 years. :sad1: Oh my that is going to be one sad day in our house. The kids have never known life without him. And I had him before I was even married. So he's been with me longer than DH and the kids!
Question...Is it too early to want to pack for next week? :rotfl:

Oh heck no, it's never too early to start packing!! :yay: But you know me, I start to pack for Disney 2 months in advance! :rotfl:

Yay!!! I'm doing OK....fighting off a cold. It's the one downfall of working here, I get sick every six months or so.

Yeah, it was probably pretty similar to the Halloween week crowds.

Wishes from the Poly beach is amazing! My 4th of July fireworks pics are also from the beach area. Our favorite spot, which is usually less busy is if you follow the sidewalk along to the right it goes up to the top of a hill, it's a great spot to watch from and usually considerably less crowded than the beach.

I had Boatwrights the first time I visited WDW. The food was very good, I had bourbon chicken and an awesome chocolate volcano-type desert. They've changed their menus though since then though, so I don't know how it is now.

As to your CS meal dilemma at MK...I like both Pecos and Cosmic Rays, though they're quite similar in menu offerings, so you might not necessarily need both. They both have a topping bar though Cosmic Rays does have a wider menu than Pecos. I wouldn't recommend eating both in one day, either way. We almost always go to one or the other when we eat at MK, but the digestive ramifications are not always the best :)

Thanks for all the awesome advice! I think we will give Cosmic Rays a try rather than going back to Pecos.

I hope you are feeling better soon and are all better for when your friend gets there! :goodvibes:flower3:

You are going to have an awesome time!! :cool1:

yay Shelly!!!!!!!!!! You're officially a November'er!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is to say, you began as a MAYer and somehow lost your way in favor of being a January'er (which personally, for selfish reasons-mybirthday- I approved of-), and now you have wound your way to being a November'er!

Before long, you can say you've gone every month.:lmao:

Good for you guys! So- the dates? Specifics?

ANything so we can live thru you.:goodvibes

 <---- dude on the run. He made a break for it.:rotfl2:

Jo

Morning everyone else!

Sulley- your plans with your friend sound like so much fun! I hope you take lots of pics so we can see! Oh, and Happy early Birthday to you!:goodvibes

NC- those BK bandits ------ i hope it gave them GI distress and they had to spend their entire flight in the loo.:rotfl:
The Skinny B!$%# diet---- have you read the book? It is so shameful...:rotfl2: No- I'm not doing that diet. I take part in the joBird diet where you say no to ice cream cake all day until 9pm where you cave and eat so much you swear you won't do it again. Until the next day.;)

Trixie- have you seen the Subway commercial with MP??:lovestruc It's cute!
I found the SI article on tebow online. - it was so so so good. All about his missions work and his life-- not a lot on his football. I'm going out today to see if it's in the Barnes and Noble. I'm going to frame it for Drew's room.

Morning Sea!
I know you aren't here yet- just thought I'd say hi first.

today-- not much happening here. Wishing I was SHelly--- two trips in one year! I'm jel!!!!!!!

Jo

Thanks guys!! :grouphug::goodvibes:banana:

DH got the go-ahead from his boss. Over the phone from SC. Hopefully he will stick to it when he gets back to PA and they can go over the dates. . .

I am pretty set on Sat Nov 7th to Sun Nov 15th. . . Jersey week is the first week so they should all be rolling out the weekend we arrive. Right?! :yay:

As soon as they release the November calander I will have more specifics as to what we are doing and when. I think I pretty much have all the ADR's nailed down. Now if I am only able to get what I want when I want it. :wizard: This 90 days thing stinks!

Yes, so now we will have been in October, May (twice), January, and November. I really have no desire to try any of the other months too bad. . .

Ah yes...the Subway commercial. I have mixed feelings, to be honest. I like that he looks like a human being in it instead of a swimming robot, but man, he should have gotten a decent haircut and shaved a little! He could have looked so much better! I love the part where he's watching the person swim in the ball pit and he looks right into the camera and then off to the side.

DH said that there is a huge poster of him in our Subway and he looks...umm...mentally challenged. :scared1: (I have not investigated and DH can't stand him, so he may be a little extra judgmental ). Doesn't MP have people to make sure things like that don't happen??? I should let him know that I'm available....and that I have loads of experience with his print media. :rotfl2:

Have you guys looked at the resort board lately? There are about 4 threads from people who were booked for POP in September and they have recently been informed that they can upgrade to OKW or SSR for free. What's up with that??? Did they seriously overbook POP that much? Or is it some kind of attempt to sell DVC? Hmm. . . .

How come I never get an upgrade??!!

You're jealous??!! Miss Disneyland, South Carolina and Hawaii is jealous of little old me??? :confused3:rotfl:

Ummmmmmm,
yes?:confused3

:lmao:

I'm afraid to broach the subject with Marky b/c he's going to say the exact same thing...
"I just took you to California, South Carolina, Hawaii and Tennessee. What more do you want from me???"

My response....

"Oh baby, that was soooooooo last month. What have you done for me LATELY?".

:rotfl:

It helps a little that he keeps saying he needs another vacation.;)

The time may be fast approaching for a little WDW vacation pow-wow.

I think whenb WDW doesn't sell SSR or OKW out, or when it is slow over there- they bump people from POP. That seems to be the only resort that gets the upgrade to DVC, from wall I've read in the past years. POP has such a following that they know they can refill those rooms once they move people. I'd love an upgrade too.

I did notice he was looking a bit shaggy. If only these guys would be all clean cut...
um....
like Timmy (!) . It's so much better IMO.:lmao:

I think if TT wasn't a Gator, Mark would hate him as well b/c of the Tebow love he gets from me.:cloud9::lmao: As it is, he's got to love him a bit himself.

Go Gators!

:woohoo:

Hi everyone. Kinda sad this morning. One of my best friends died yesterday. His wife found him dead when she came home from the office last night. I had just talked to him on the phone last week too. He retired about 3 months ago too...life was too short for him...he was 55. He was a great man and friend to me. I will miss him greatly.

Jo - I have not read Skinny B!%@*! I know my neighbor has. I think right after she tried vegan. She is always trying something different.

I started my diet back yesterday. I seem to do best on an Atkins/South Beach/Sugar Busters low carbish type of diet.

Ice Cream is my arch nemesis!

But I love it!

I had an ice cream almost everyday on vacation.

Sea- I am so very sorry. You have been thru so much in the past couple of months. You have my prayers, as always.

Sea - I am so sorry about your friend. This must be so hard coming just after losing your mom.
