How could you not know about Beau Gator and all of his - um - gas issues??? :rotfl2:

I mean at least he doesn't catch himself on fire or anything though! :lmao:

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

Gosh- bulldogs are wonderful but lordy they stink to high heaven at times.

Especially when they've had cheeseburgers. And Beau Gator has a lot of them.:lmao:

And speaking of flames...... how's your hot dog doing, Shelly?

:rotfl:

Now that you mention it, I think I do recall something about a long ride in the car with a dog with gas! :lmao:

Poor Charlie!!! :scared:

Thanks for all the ideas! I have been fudging with the schedule for the last hour. I needed a break from planting shrubs!

Nope, we've never watched Wishes from the Poly beach. Sounds wonderful though!

I am thinking about adding Boatwright's at POR for my last TS meal. . . Maybe one of those evenings that we have no plans for. I don't suppose anyone has been there?

I will look at the Columbia Harbour House menu. We need a new CS place in MK. I am about tired of Casey's! :guilty: Don't tell my family - they will shoot me! We ate at Pecos Bills on our first trip and had a bad experience there. I am willing to give it another try especially since everyone else seems to love it. I'd also like to try Cosmic Ray's. Hmm. . . maybe I'll skip TS meals in MK and try for 2 CS meals. . . Except for Crystal Palace of course!

I am excited to try breakfast at Kona. I figured we could sleep in that morning. Maybe get a 10:30 ADR and then after we are finished we can walk over to the TTC and take the monorail to Epcot.

Wishes from the beach is so relaxing. And you can see the Electric water parade thingy float by too.

I've never liked Pecos Bill's. The burgers there are NASTY. Mark has gotten a bbq sandwich there that was pretty good.

I like Cosmic Ray's. The rotisserie chix is wonderful. But it is loud.

CHH is my fave b/c I like to go upstairs where it's often quiet. It's a large place, you can always find an out of the way nook.

Haven't eaten at Boatwright's. I think it gets mixed reviews, but as we both know... what is good one night may be gross the next.:goodvibes

Charlie is doing good! He is about to have his 13th birthday next week. I'm sure we will be having a doggie birthday party! He sleeps a lot anymore. But he still likes to chase cars when he is awake! :confused3 He is getting adjusted to our new house. I think the stairs are kind of rough on his old legs though. Mine too!

Lucky for him we don't have all electric heat anymore, so he won't be able to catch himself on fire this winter! :rotfl:

13 is old for a dog.

The vet told us Beau's life expectancy is 8 yrs. He just turned 5 last month, and his muzzle is getting all white. He's already an old dog.

Do you give Charlie a baby aspirin every day? We do that and glucosamine/chondroitin. Having a dog is expensive!

Trix-- I'll see if I can find one of our Chritmas pics of Beau Gator.:santa:

:lmao:

MCat just had to do an intervention on me.....

I made an ice cream cake the other day and the kids were eating it.... and I had the knife in my hand cutting me some and she handed me a nectarine, yelling "INTERVENTION!!!!!".

:rotfl:

Being on a diet stinketh.

Greetings from your resident canuck!!!!

Gassy Dog, Dog on Fire.... wow... my 11 year old Terrier named Willoughby has nothing on yours.

NC- so great to see you enjoyed your trip.

Question...Is it too early to want to pack for next week? :rotfl:

Hi Lake! I love your doggie's name.

and no... it's never too early... (Or, for some of us Procrastinating MAYers--) too late .... to pack.:lmao:

Jo

FL in DL is absolutely charming. I love the feel of it.
FL in WDW is much more just sort of "there". Not a lot of charm, if any. Just buildings. IMO of course.:goodvibes

Interesting stuff, isn't it??????????

Jo

I think the FP rumors are the most interesting of all.

Jo

Most visitors to the park have no idea about FastPass and how it actually works. Check out how it works out here at DL...

http://micechat.com/forums/disneyland-resort/5720-joy-fastpass-details-secrets.html

If you plan it out right, you can easily ride everything in one day without feeling rushed and exhausted.

I really do hope they keep the FP the way it is. I wouldn't pay extra to jump ahead of the line.

Thanks ... It's a Jane Austen thing...

Most of the time it gets shortened to Willow...haha... even our dog has a nickname.

I'm thinking of digging out the suitcase and packing the clothes now, so they stay clean this week and I don't have to wash them again before we go. Maybe I'm just tired of all the :laundy: I have done this week.:lmao:

okay my pittsburgh people.....

If I found a store I want to see and it says its located at the Freight house shops..is that at Station Square.?????.. it won't find it on mapquest.

UPDATE!!!!! - FOUND IT AND JUST FIGURED IT OUT MYSELF...AND CONVIENIENTLY ENOUGH IT APPEARS OUR RESTAURANT IS THERE TOO!!! ... YAH ME!!!!!!!

Emmy has her eye on the Calico Critters Families and houses... she really wants a doll house but instead of people she wants a little bunny family.
When we were at my parents last week she saw them at a store there and hasn't stopped talking about them. She has never ever taken to anything like that before...she usually just goes with the flow or plays along with her brother and his stuff... and never asks for anything. Since this is the first thing she has ever seriously been drawn too, I would love to try and do this for her... depending on what I find and for what price.

Our little girl turns 5 in September, ( and then there is christmas too) so I thought I'd look into what they go for in PA...I know they are a hefty price here.

Me either, Sea. I wouldn't pay extra... just get there at RD and get everything done and over with by the time most people are rolling out of bed, or leaving breakfast, LOL.

While in DL I think we only used one FP-- it was to Indy, i believe.

When the parks got crowded, we left.:)

Morning MAYers! :goodvibes

Just trying to finish up the laundry here so I can go outside and work on the landscaping some more.

Hey Sulley! How are you doing? I will either be down to see you in November or in January! :yay:

Yay!!! I'm doing OK....fighting off a cold. It's the one downfall of working here, I get sick every six months or so.

Morning!

waiting on my builder to come by to finish up our one year punch list.

Can't believe we've been here almost one year. time flies.

Hi Sulley! How are you? Thanks for the info on Pres day. Would you compare the crowds to this past Halloween crowds? I thought that was crowded.
If wqe could get a code, I'd love for the kids to go. Still looking at the week before.

Of course, Mark has a cousin getting married Thanksgiving weekend (the same day as the Florida/Florida State huge rivalry game... AND she's a Gator! How dare she?) in Florida.:wizard: I'm thinking the Wed before Turkey day thru Wednesday is sounding good to me. That way we could do Turkey day with the whole fam- all 75+ of us... and then do the wedding.

Huuuuuuuummmmmmmmm.

Yeah, it was probably pretty similar to the Halloween week crowds.

Wishes from the Poly beach is amazing! My 4th of July fireworks pics are also from the beach area. Our favorite spot, which is usually less busy is if you follow the sidewalk along to the right it goes up to the top of a hill, it's a great spot to watch from and usually considerably less crowded than the beach.

I had Boatwrights the first time I visited WDW. The food was very good, I had bourbon chicken and an awesome chocolate volcano-type desert. They've changed their menus though since then though, so I don't know how it is now.

As to your CS meal dilemma at MK...I like both Pecos and Cosmic Rays, though they're quite similar in menu offerings, so you might not necessarily need both. They both have a topping bar though Cosmic Rays does have a wider menu than Pecos. I wouldn't recommend eating both in one day, either way. We almost always go to one or the other when we eat at MK, but the digestive ramifications are not always the best :)

Hi MAYers!

How is everyone?

I hope all is well. I tried to get caught up on the thread. Whew! You guys have been busy!

Yay! NC is back! Hope you had an awesome time in DC and took lots of pics.

It is way tooo early to pack! Of course I am the BIGGEST packer procastinator of the MAYers!

Jo

Are you doing the Skinny B!#@% Diet?

So I'm a bit in guest planning mode right now in prep for my BFF's visit :) Here's the plans so far

Tuesday - Pick up from the airport at 7:30pm, Wal-Mart or Target run, depending on what we decide.

Wednesday (my birthday! :) ) - Princess Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare @ 8:30, MK all day, Dole Whip (yummy!)

Thursday - Epcot! Might shoot for rope drop, or at least to get there by 10. Knock out all of Future World first. Drinking around the World starting hopefully by noon or so. No ADRs as of right now.

Friday - Universal maybe? Not sure yet.

Saturday - DAK in the morning, just to do the Safari and FotLK then Studios.

Sunday - Back to the Airport :( and rest of the day off from work.

We're kind of planning to play things by ear a lot. We're not stuck on doing anything in particular other than the breakfast and the Around the World right now.
