Sea- That Nemo Sushi pic was AWFUL!!!! :rotfl: Thanks for the laugh! What crazy weather you've been having! Hope all is well now.

Shelly- Sending prayers for your DH to have an easy surgery and smooth recovery. Perhaps you should take him to Disney when he is all healed to celebrate. ;)

Jo- Yes m'am I am getting my behind over to your PTR ASAP! :thumbsup2

I'm trying my best to keep up and get ready for this trip. I wish it was just here already. popcorn:: I hate waiting. Only a little less than 53 hours to go!!!!:banana:

Are you one day away?

Good Morning!!!

Lake is going to be an auntie again!!!!!:woohoo:
My brother and his wife ( yep the ones in the military) are expecting baby #2.
We are all so excited for them. It might even excite me more that this will also keep them home from Afghanistan next year hopefully. They have both already been, and I personally like them safe and sound at home. I wish all soldiers could be safe and sound at home.

This baby will change some of our plans for my dad's 70th birthday trip though, since the baby won't be 6 months old yet in order for us all to take a cruise. ( 6 months is the age requirement).

So now we are looking into other options... maybe Costa Rica, maybe even a fancy golf and spa resort in Arizona... lots of options, this should get interesting with 4 couples people having different ideas in mind. Wish me luck.:rotfl:

Congrats to you Auntie Lake!!!

It sounds like you guys have some nice options for your trip! :thumbsup2

Hello Mayers - we are having a soggy day around here. It has already hailed and we are expecting about 4-5 inches of rain today. It is dark and gloomy.

I need to find a good place to have lunch to make up for all this crummy weather.

Congrats Lake!

I would pick Costa Rica over Arizona. Our friends went there on their honeymoon and said it was amazing place. Lot of things to see and do.

When are planning to go?

The rain came down so fast at DL yesterday, it flooded parts of Main Street and the Hub area. In the left of the picture you can see the ducks enjoying their new pond! :rotfl:

hi MAYers--
Sea--- stay dry! I saw the floods on Fox news. Yikes. You aren't in danger of mudslides are you?

Lake-- Congrats, Auntie-to-be!! I hope they have a wonderful pregnancy and all is well.

Good luck too on trying to find a vacation spot. There's always Disneyland.:goodvibes

Kim- be safe-- have a great trip!:wizard:

No danger of mudslides personally - I live right in the middle of a city. We live about 2 miles south of the Santa Monica mountains and fortunately there is a lot of brush and trees that cover up that dirt. There is mudslide danger in the fire areas that got hit a few months ago.

Our trip will hopefully be the first week of January.
Not sure what everyone exactly wants to do yet... I welcome suggestions though.

Well crap, it looks like Star Tours closes Oct. 2010 to start working on the new 3-D Star Tours II. The boys are bummed it will be closed the next time we are there. But very excited about the new one!! It doesn't say when exactly it will open, just says 2011.

Yes - you can expect a lot of closed rides and new construction at WDW the next few years at the parks. MK is getting a huge new Fantasyland area and Mickey's Toontown Fair will be changed too.

If I remember correctly, I heard at D23 that Star Tours will be opening Summer 2011 at both DL and WDW.

I am glad that Disney is making this new investment into the parks. Carsland at DCA is going to be amazing - I can't wait to experience it.

Good Morning :)

Emily and I are watching Enchanted right now.
She hadn't seen it yet, and I bought it for her for christmas. Finally getting around to watching it. :)

Sea- I for one can't wait to see the new Fantasyland. I hope its done before my kids outgrow all the younger stuff though. :)

Morning MAYers :snooty:

What's everyone up to this weekend? popcorn::

I am having friends over tonight for a Dexter marathon and dinner. :goodvibes Tomorrow night I am going to my aunt and uncles to play some games and do some planning for our WDW trip! :cool1: Not that we have much to do. We already know what ADR's we're doing and have all been there a bunch of times already. I just have to wait for TGM's LCPC's and we'll be set!

Tomorrow morning I am taking down all of my handles from my kitchen cabinets and spray painting them from ghetto shiny gold to oil rubbed bronze. Wish me luck! If it goes well, I am going to do our light fixtures too. Someone really LOVED gold when they decorated our house.

I still want to post pics of the new furniture, maybe I'll wait until my cabinets are done and show you my handy work. :goodvibes
