I need to ask for prayers MAYers. :grouphug: DH is having knee surgery next Monday. It's nothing too major, but any surgery is scary. He has a torn meniscus and it has been bothering him on and off for about 8 months now. They can't really tell the extent of the damage until they get in there and look around. We are hoping and praying that it is a quick fix and he will be feeling better and be able to go back to work in a few weeks.

Hey RF - Congrats on the new furniture!

Morning MAYers :goodvibes

Shelly - I don't remember if I posted it to your TR, but your video is adorable!!! I love it! The sombrero picture is my favorite. :rotfl: So cute

Jo - Haaaay!!! Bookin flights!!!! That really makes it official :thumbsup2 And I wouldn't worry about AT. I love them!! They're always my 1st choice for cheap direct flights, but yes - Shelly's right - they do change times often. It's usually not by too much, but I would keep my eye out.

So, Bob and I went out this weekend and bought new furniture! :yay: It's chocolate brown soft leather and I am terrified about my cats getting to it. :scared1: Anyone have any suggestions to keep cats from clawing at it?

I have heard so many different things and then so many people say that none of them work

Feliway spray
Tin foil
double sided tape
citrus spray
water bottles
other scratching posts/mats nearby

I think I am leaning towards the Feliway spray and clipping their nails weekly myself, but the spray is pretty expensive...so I don't want to spend the money on it and then have it not work.

Hi Shelly - Absolutely, we will be praying for you husband and for no complications. - Sea

Today I am taking you "behind the scenes" at DL a bit...

This is right behind Critter Country and ToonTown. I took this shot from the parking structure.

Here you can see the "Circle D" ranch where the horses are cared for. You can also see the back side of ToonTown. On the left side of the picture, those two large scaffolding structures are the fireworks launch pads.

I hope you enjoyed a trip down memory lane today...Sea

Get this: We have a tornado warning for Orange County! Cities of Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, Costa Mesa, Fullerton and even Anaheim are on alert. WOW!

Oh be still my soul- Sea- you're terrifying me. May God's protection be on you and your family. Stay safe.

Just heard a tornado has touched down Seal Beach - about 25 miles south from me, about 20 miles west of DLR. Raining very hard down there now. Expecting hail too.

Ok - it appears that the tornado watch/storm has now moved past Orange County and is now going east into the Inland Empire. So DLR is safe and the tornado watch has been lifted in that area.

Heard on the radio that a car was flipped over by the tornado in Seal Beach. Of course, that is big news around here. LOL! Don't know much about than that for now.

Sea-------:cool1:

We plan on getting to the hotel, grabbing Mark some Sushi from the sushi bar and heading out to see Wishes from the beach-- they're at 10 pm that night.
:goodvibes
Getting so excited for it.

NC--- Allegiant flies to LAX as well from here. That's where I got the $29 flights to LA last year.;) Disneyland?????:lmao:
Or-- if you don't want to do that- they fly to Vegas as well.

Why can't I get a good priced flight like that! I almost think I need to move!

Awesome Jo! That sounds like a blast!

Maybe they will have this kind of Sushi at the Poly...

Sea- That Nemo Sushi pic was AWFUL!!!! :rotfl: Thanks for the laugh! What crazy weather you've been having! Hope all is well now.

Shelly- Sending prayers for your DH to have an easy surgery and smooth recovery. Perhaps you should take him to Disney when he is all healed to celebrate. ;)

Jo- Yes m'am I am getting my behind over to your PTR ASAP! :thumbsup2

I'm trying my best to keep up and get ready for this trip. I wish it was just here already. popcorn:: I hate waiting. Only a little less than 53 hours to go!!!!:banana:

Thank you so much MAYers! :grouphug: I knew I could count on you. It really means a lot.

Perhaps you should take him to Disney when he is all healed to celebrate. ;)

You know that has been talked about! ;) :rotfl:

Kim ~ You are almost there!!! :woohoo: I am so excited for you!!

Sea ~ So glad you are safe. I saw that car flipped over on the news last night.

JO ~ YAY for a PTR. Perfect timing! I knew with enough peer pressure you would cave! :rotfl:

Good Morning!!!

Lake is going to be an auntie again!!!!!:woohoo:
My brother and his wife ( yep the ones in the military) are expecting baby #2.
We are all so excited for them. It might even excite me more that this will also keep them home from Afghanistan next year hopefully. They have both already been, and I personally like them safe and sound at home. I wish all soldiers could be safe and sound at home.

This baby will change some of our plans for my dad's 70th birthday trip though, since the baby won't be 6 months old yet in order for us all to take a cruise. ( 6 months is the age requirement).

So now we are looking into other options... maybe Costa Rica, maybe even a fancy golf and spa resort in Arizona... lots of options, this should get interesting with 4 couples people having different ideas in mind. Wish me luck.:rotfl:
