Morning MAYers!

Welcome home Sea! :goodvibes

Not much going on here this morning. Just laundry. Then I have to take DS8 to the pediatric ophthalmologist this afternoon. They said that where he is at age 8 is all the better his condition will get. So we will see. . . I sure wish this would have been caught at a younger age and we would have had more time to correct it.

Maybe I'll work on the TR a bit today. I just posted a small update. Nothing exciting though.

DH didn't seem to be as excited about my PIN as I was. . . :confused3 But he had worked very late and it was late when I told him and he said -- we'll talk about it tomorrow. What do you suppose that means??? :confused3 I know he will be fine with booking a moderate, but he probably won't see the need to book a deluxe. And in the end I will probably agree with him. I for some reason always back out of booking the deluxes. Afraid of spending all that money and being disappointed I guess. But we'll see what happens. . . :wizard:

I bet he was tired. I have to wait until the right moment to tell my DH things. He works very long hours too. If I can, a lot of times I save things to ask or to tell him for the weekend.

Well, I am headed to the gym today. Then back home, to gather up the kids then going to play tennis. We are going to have our kids play each other. Chris used to take loads of tennis lessons. He was lamenting that Claire is going to kill him on the courts as she is still taking. I may have to pay him to play. :rotfl: It will be good to get them out of the house and moving.

We got some of the exterior Christmas lights out yesterday. I had to buy some more as some them are no longer working.

I also worked on setting my dining room table a little yesterday so I need to finish that up.

DD has drums later today.

Whew! I am tired just thinking about it!

Have a great day MAYers!!!

He had worked 12 1/2 hours yesterday and by the time he got home I had forgotten about the PIN. But then remembered when we were going to bed and just mentioned it briefly. I will bring it up again tonight! He has to come home early to get DS10 off the bus since I will be away with DS8 at the doctor. I will take the approach of -- It only takes $200 to book it and then we can back out any time up to 45 days prior if we need to. I did that for this trip we just took and it ended up happening!! :goodvibes

The PIN says -- the number of rooms available at this savings are limited. . . So that makes me think I need to book now for a year from now! I've never booked this early before though.

Shelly~if you book for next year, what dates are you looking at? :rolleyes1

The same week. The temps were comfortable, the lines were fairly short, the kids have half days 3 of the 5 days due to conferences.

If we go Deluxe it will probably be Sat to Sat Nov 6-13. If we go Moderate we may throw in an extra day like we did this time. The only trouble with going on Nov 6th is the time change. That is the night we turn the clocks back. So YAY for an extra hour of vacation!! But that time change really screws me up! Heck, we turned the clocks back a week before this trip and I was still screwed up when we got there! :confused3 For some reason for the first 2-3 days as soon as it got dark I felt like it was really late and I should be in bed! :upsidedow

Did you get the PIN??:yay:

After you got yours, I went back and looked at the PIN I have, but it's only good for dates through June or something. Bummer. I really need to start making some decisions!

So you really did like November better than January?

November was definitely less crowded than January. I really liked January too, but I am really afraid that we could possibly end up with a week of cold weather. I handled the 2-3 days of really cold temps in Jan, but would have been pretty upset if it was like that the whole week.

Also seeing the castle lights & Osborne lights was a huge plus! Didn't see a whole lot of other Christmas decorations, I think the majority of them were going up this this week. The GF gingerbread house was under construction, set to open on the 16th. Figures, we left on the 15th. But we got to see part of it!

I asked DH about it again this weekend...to see if he was concerned about going in November and then getting home to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and then nothing after than but horrible winter weather. That's my concern. Last year we still had something to look forward to after Christmas...if we go in November, we won't! But he said his number one priority is to have good weather. :thumbsup2 Okay...on with November, I guess!

Pictionary and Charades are always fun.

We used to do things like White Elephant Exchange (I think that was the name of it.) Everyone brings a truly tacky wrapped gift, like a Chia pet or the singing fish or an ugly tie, etc.

This. I've been waiting on the next white elephant exchange here so that I can toss this into the gift pile:

Ever since I saw that on TV, I wanted to buy it as a joke gift. They'll make chia pets out of anything!

Afternoon Mayers! I'm hiding here rather than folding the 3 loads of laundry staring at me. I'm kinda bummed to day. Had to send my littlest day care guy home because he was wheezing and struggling to breathe. Very worrisome. :sad2:

Welcome home Sea! I bet you and the Mrs. are tired today. Hope the cruise was wonderful!

RF- I love the theme for your party :lmao: I always think of Bill Cosby when I think of tacky sweaters for some reason. ;) The gag gift idea sounds like a hoot too.

Shelly- Congrats on getting a pin! I need to get on the site and start pricing stuff- maybe I can convince DH to book our next trip before we even leave for this one. Fat chance but a girl's gotta dream. :cloud9:

Off to catch up on Shelly's PTR! :goodvibes

That is too funny!!!!

That would be perfect. If we get invited to a white elephant party, can I steal this idea?

The worst gift someone brought was like a Santa lingerie but for a guy. Hysterical, I tell you!!!

Oh and in other news.....

9 day dance!

I can't believe it is this close!

By all means! Been 'green' and recycle the idea! :)

Makes me wonder where you put the Santa hat. :lmao:

Guess where my wife wants to go? We have been invited to a birthday party dinner and F! Leaving in about an hour...

Oh!!! We just found out that we now get 20% off merchandise for the holiday season! And there is a sale at the WOD store in DTD - up to 50% off...very tempting my wife has told me...
