Congrats RF!! 6 lbs ~ That's great! :cool1::thumbsup2

I know what you mean JO. I have a feeling I would be very uncomfortable in a Value. But the extra space and privacy 2 rooms would allow would be nice.

As much as I want to stay at the Poly the Boardwalk area just has more to offer our family I think. Proximity to Epcot and DHS, plus we love the atmosphere of the Boardwalk. And the fact that it's slightly cheaper than the Poly doesn't hurt either. :rotfl: But if we do get a 40% off code, then we can't get free dining. . . I need to do the math again and see what is a better deal for us. I know that I was so glad that we had the free DDP this time with DS being 10 now, and he confirmed everything I knew was going to happen -- he ordered off of the kids menu all week. So I refuse to pay for the DDP anytime soon.

Morning RF!

Congrats on the weight loss!!!! I think I found the 6 pounds you lost.:goodvibes

Good for you--- I always feel soooo good once I leave the gym. It's getting out of bed and getting there that is the hardest part.
I just can't motivate myself.

When we lived in Rochester- Mark got on his lose weight kick. It was in January. In Rochester. Where we could see the Lake effect snow rolling in off our back deck. Snow around our thighs. Yuck. He'd get up every morning to beat the plow at 4:15- go to the gym for three hours, come home and work until 11 pm. Every day.
He went from 270 in January to 185 by April when I had Belle. I don't know how men can lose that fast, but he's kept it off for almost 8 years.
I don't have that sort of stamina or will power. I like chocolate and a bag of chips too much.:lmao:

But.... you are doing really well!!! Keep it up!:lovestruc

Jo

3 things off the list already this morning! :woohoo:

And I little persistancy while on the phone with a not so polite customer service rep...and yes I got the 4th subsctiption for the original price. :)
That will stretch the 50.00 limit for my BIL gift a little further.

I hope you feel better soon Jo..and you too Trixie.

Shelly - It's nice to have you HOME!

The extra space and bathrooms is a huge bonus. What is nice too is that the kids can sleep while you're getting ready w/o disturbing them, or they can watch their own tv while you watch the news.
Or Stacy.
:rotfl: We always fall asleep to Stacy yapping.:rotfl2:

And we'd never get the DDP with the kids- Drew and MCat are both adults and I'd rather them order whatever they'd like- which most times is off the kids menu.

Hum.... it might end up being better for you to pay OOP for dining since you know he'll order off the kids menu. 40% off of a deluxe --- let's see- by my calculations, I'd save right at $1600 for the Poly- room only.
I know our family could eat for cheaper than that and we have 1 more kid than you guys.

Disney math.....
it's a strange thing.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Morning Lake!

yay for getting the subscription for the original price. What a bunch of Knuckleheads.

I really didn't want a new car, but now that I have it, I love it. I feel very spoiled with it.

Let me know if you have any questions. I'll be glad to help!!!

Thanks for the wonderful review! I think we're going to continue to look for one...they aren't easy to find around here! :sad2: We talked to a dealer over the weekend and he's even frustrated because he can't find them!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hey did you know that Stacy's spiel has changed??? It's Disney Must Do's now instead of the Disney's Top 7 Must Do's or whatever it was before. There's still a lot of the old shots in it, but lots of new ones too.

Yes, Disney math is strange. Unlike any other math. :rotfl: Maybe I should have DS8 do it for me. His teacher told me yesterday that he is in the 95th percentile in math, that means he's ahead of 95% of the entire 2nd grade! :cheer2:

But anyway JO, what would you say you normally spend on food for the week paying OOP? And how many table service restaurants do you do? Do they not care if the kids order off of the kids menu if they are over 10? They have to know that MC is not 9.

I am such an idiot. I am sitting here planning out my vacation days for a YEAR from now!

Most places have never said anything about her ordering off of the kids menu. And she is as big as me, size wise. Oooh- at San ANgel they did- that was the only place.
I have let MC and Drew split an adult entree before- at BRG I think one time and.... maybe at MM too? I can't remember.

We never eat breakfast out- only in room, so we only have lunch- dinner and a snack to buy. We only drink water- even at home- so no $$ for sodas- we ask for tap water- free. Coffee, of course we buy every morning.
Lunch is 95% of the time at a CS- where I usually only get a salad and dinner is almost always at a TS.
I think- if I'm remembering correctly- we spent $1200 or so on food last time for all of us.
We don't get dessert- we aren't big dessert people. So that saves us a ton.
We get one or two appys and split them- but not for every meal.

For us- it's just cheaper to pay OOP when the kids are with us. When it's just me and Mark- we could easily spend $1000 by eating at lots of TS restaurants -- b/c there's more time to relax.

Your family might have different eating habits though and need dessert and soda and things like that.

Thanks for the info.

We could definitely order water with our dinner. That's normally what we do at home when we eat out. I do like the kids to have at least one glass of milk a day though.

I would be fine with doing just 4 TS's in a week. It might make things a little more relaxed that way anyway. . . One thing we found to work good was the 2 days we had late breakfast reservations - between 10-11 (one at Kona and the other at Chef Mickey's), we were so full from those breakfast's that we didn't eat again until dinner! But that only works for a few days considering I'm not the biggest fan of breakfast foods.

Anyone looking for a cheap and excellent breakfast - Kona Cafe!! :lovestruc WOW delicious! And the total - $40! Looking back I wished I wouldn't have wasted the TS credits on it.

Good Morning!

I'm a sleepy girl today, more than likely its due to all the stuff I ran around doing yesterday andthen staying up a bit later than usual.
But I'm going to get some breakfast and tea in me, send the kids off to school and get working again. I want to clean more boxes out of the crawl space, and start locating all the christmas ones in there, making sure they are all in one place for when I need them.

Yep...I am now officially in christmas mode I think. The kids watched a Madagascar christmas special on tv last night, and I think that pretty much put me in gear with how much they loved it and how excited they seemed.

So some online christmas shopping to do as well.
Start thinking about what kind of chritmas baking I might start to make and freeze...and yep more lists. Staying organized is the only way to stay in control sometimes, especailly since I am host 2 separate christmases this year.

I also am going to call Men's Health, last week I renewed it for Jason, and also order one for my brother and Women's Health for my SIL, and this week I decided to get one for his brother too. When I went to order it the price is now twice as much, and they are calling it a holiday specail...WHAT!!!!!!!. I am going to try calling customer service and see if I can get the old rate by teling them its the fourth subscription I am doing this year, within a week....come on give me a break. WISH ME LUCK!!!!

So glad you got the good rate on the Men's Health! My SIL gives to my DH every year. He loves it!!!

Good morning MAYers!

I just added more pics to my POR report. I may start my OKW report today or tomorrow. Still working on loading pics on photobucket so I can eventually start my TR.

I need to get over there and read that!:surfweb:

Checking in...

I am fighting one heck of a cold. Blech.

Huggie-- such wonderful news on the pin! The values are getting 20% off it seems. That looks like a good deal to me with dining and tix --- would that be for all four of you? I think it's a good one.

With my code, I've priced it out- and for us to stay at a mod, we'd have to have two rooms. In a deluxe we could squish into one room. The price difference between two rooms at POFQ and one room at the Poly is about $175. For convenience only, think I'd go with the Poly. That way, if anyone wanted to scoot to the MK or EP while the others were at the pool- they could with ease.

I dunno.

We're zeroing in on Spring Break now. We talked it over at lunch and we were planning it sort of- and Mark said "or we could just stay home and save 5 grand" and at that moment, it sounded like the right thing to do.

Now by the light of day I'm not feeling the stay home love.

:rotfl:

Oh yeah- and I priced out the split stay -- 4 days at POFQ (two rooms) and Poly (3 days, one room). The difference?

A grand total of .....

wait for it....

$75.

:rotfl2:

Crazy.

Jo

I just cannot imagine going back to one room in a deluxe after staying in two rooms in a value or a mod.

REALLY think about it.

I just cannot tell you HOW MUCH we love having two rooms, two baths, two TVs. For my family it is just so much more relaxing. And we can actually sleep.

Hope you feel better soon!

I really need to wait until about January/February and see where we are financially and how DH's job is holding out and then go from there with the planning. We have a long list of expenses coming up -- DS's braces, carpet for the basement, a storage shed for the backyard, the kids college funds need a boost, pay down the mortgage, etc. . . So I guess we'll see what's left after all that. :faint:

Oh well, good thing I have lots of time to plan!!

You are such a good planner!!! :thumbsup2

Good morning ladies :flower3:

I woke up early and went to the gym today - and I feel fabulous. :cloud9: I don't know why I don't do this all the time! I fight it so hard - but if I just sucked it up and went I would feel so much better. :cool1:

AND!

If the scale at the gym is right (you know how almost every scale you get on is off a little bit) then I lost another 6 lbs! But, I need to go into WW and officially weigh in. So, wish me luck! :wizard:

Oh, AND!!! -

TOMORROW IS NEW MOON NIGHT!!!!! :cheer2: :dance3: :worship: :cool1: :thumbsup2  :woohoo: :yay: :cloud9:

I am so excited! I can't wait! :goodvibes

:goodvibes Hooray!!!!

Thanks for the wonderful review! I think we're going to continue to look for one...they aren't easy to find around here! :sad2: We talked to a dealer over the weekend and he's even frustrated because he can't find them!

My DH had trouble finding mine and he was buying a new one. Toyota stopped production on them at some point last year because of the slow economy and produced more small cars instead. Well, the demand remained for the Sequoia and they were nearly impossible to come by at the end of 2008. Mine was brought in from Indiana for a buyer here. Well, my DH drove it to see if he liked it and it was exactly what he was looking for. There was not another white, platinum level, whatever package this car had, etc. at any dealership in the nation. The guy who was going to buy it decided to buy a Lexus instead, and released the car. DH immediately snapped it up.

Then there was a bit of controversy as the guy changed his mind again and wanted it back.

Then the dealership screwed up and told me about the car and scared me to death as I thought someone had stolen our identity was trying to buy a car using our credit information. This was supposed to be a Christmas surprise for me. I had no idea DH had been looking at cars and I certainly hadn't asked for one.

When I found out how much thought DH had put into picking THIS car for me. That there wasn't another one in the U.S., I decided to keep the car.

And I love it. DH really put a lot of thought into what I would like and it is a great, safe, car.

All that to say, I would imagine that they are hard to come by.

What week are you planning on?

I don't know. :rolleyes1 I'm really thinking about trying to go for MNSSHP. I think DH would love that! You know how he loves Halloween. :sad2:

I'm having such a hard time looking at your pics. It's okay when I don't really think about where it really is...but when I put myself there and really concentrate, it's almost unbearable how much I want to be there. Disney in general, I mean. I almost watched our Wishes video yesterday, but I figured it would put me over the edge! :crazy2:

I don't know if I'd do October. I hear it's CRAZY crowded anymore. The whole month. Guess Halloween is pretty popular. . . :confused3

Well if you are missing it that much then you should really start your planning! Who cares if it's a year away! Just think -- ADR's are only 6 months away! :rotfl: Time will fly by. It always does. The only time that goes slow for me is January until about April. The rest of the year is so busy with school, PTO, summer, soccer, holiday's, etc.

I am so excited! I can't wait! :goodvibes

I don't get to see it until Monday or Tuesday next week. But at least I don't have to drive to PA, AR, or Canada to see it with a friend! :thumbsup2

My friend is reading Twilight right now...hopefully she finishes it by tonight because we're watching it at her house tonight (if I feel good enough to go) and then we'll see New Moon next week.

I really feel like I've seen soooooo much of the movie already...just from all the leaked previews I've been watching. :rolleyes1

So have any of you/or are any of you getting your kids the H1N1 vaccine? Our school is offering it but I just don't know what to do. Being that it is so new it really scares me. But so does H1N1!

DD10 has her yearly check-up tomorrow, and I can't wait to ask her doctor what she thinks about the situation...especially since I know for a fact the girls both had either the seasonal flu or H1N1 already. I'm still guessing the doctor will recommend they get both vaccines. I guess I'll do whatever she tells me to do. :confused3

Whatever the girls had took them out for over a week (more like two weeks when all was said and done) and I wouldn't want that to happen again. Or for it to happen to your boys. It was nasty!

Let me know what you find out. Our pediatrician didn't even mention it when I had DS8 in for his yearly check up in early October. And I didn't think to ask. I guess I could call. . . I do know when we were in Florida there was something on the news about a little boy getting very ill from the vaccine. . .
