Thank you Jo! Yes we did get the cupcakes and they were divine. That is the big thing around here now - specialty cupcakes.

Never been to a Shoney's before, but have heard of them. Big Boy was started out here too. Their claim to fame was "drive in" eating. I remember my parents taking us to eat in the car and telling us to be careful not drop anything inside the car. I thought it was stupid and why didn't we just walk into the restaurant less than 10 feet from the front door.

They just opened up a new Bob's Big Boy in Downey which is about 15 miles from DL. They have classic car nights there - love to check that out sometime soon.

Belle will love the movie - lot's of Disney magic!

Love it love it love it!!!!

So interesting and good to hear a review of the movie! Belle is dying to see it of course.

Did you get cupcakes????

Bob's Big Boy is the same as Shoney's back home. I love Shoney's!!! They also have the Shoney's Big Boy out front of the restaurants. Their hamburgers and onion rings and hot fudge cake are soooo good.

Sigh- okay so now back to earth- I'm off to open me some tuna for lunch. Diet you know.

Thank you Shelly!

Wow that is amazing Sea. You are so lucky!

Thanks for sharing! :cool1:

Emily will not be disappointed. That is so cool she is going to spend some time with her friends from the old school.

The movie is getting good reviews. John Lasseter "resetted" 2d animation at WDS and push them to bring the magic back. It's back and better than ever. BTW, when you see the steamboat in the movie near the end, be sure to take a extra special listen to the steamboat whistle. Lasseter had a sound crew come down to DL to record the Mark Twain steamboat and put that whistle into the movie. He wanted every theater to share piece of Walt Disney and Disneyland.

Thanks for the Princess and the Frog review Sea. Emily is so excited and counting the days till she gets to see it. We already have the date selected, and we are meeting her two best friends form her old school and their moms there for a girls day out.

The reviews in the magazines are all amazing.
I can't wait, a new princess movie for my little princess.

Awww thank you very much Trix! Glad you enjoyed the costumes.

Sea, that was absolutely amazing!!!! The costumes were my favorites (especially Queen Clarisse and Giselle's). :woohoo:

Thank you for sharing it with us! :worship:

They were selling the Princess Tiana costumes at the event last night. The quality and design is awesome. I told my oldest son, get married and give us a granddaughter ASAP. LOLOL!

Glad you liked the hats too...Sea

Sea!

Thank you so very much for sharing that with us!

It was so wonderful! Princess Tiana is GORGEOUS. Love her dress- so pretty!

And- I loved the part with all the different hats. I'm a hat girl. A big wide-brimmed Southern hat to keep the sun off of my face and I am a happy girl.

Thanks again!

Thanks so much for sharing your adventure with us Sea! Bob and I loved all the pictures. They even made him want to take a trip out there!!!! :woohoo: :yay:

At least we know who to call to get us the star treatment! :thumbsup2

P.S. - I meant to ask you about your sweatshirt when you bought it last week. I L-O-V-E it!

I think I might need one for us - it gets pretty cold out here
:rolleyes1

Thank you RF!

We be honored to take you around town and show you (and any other Mayer) all the places that have had Walt Disney's influence in Los Angeles and Hollywood.

I like my new hoodie too. Let me know if you want me to pick one up for you. Just PM me.

Sea

They always leave you chocolate each night and menu to select your morning breakfast that they bring to your room if you wish. We did that everyday. It was nice to have your coffee, tea and food brought to you without having to get dressed.

We went down to the captain's champagne party that night too.

My wife had two glasses that night...nice! LOL!

Thank you so much for the pictures, Sea!!! love them. It looks like they had a wonderful time ''swagging'' NOS with stuff. :goodvibes It's beautiful- thanks!

Your cruise pics are great as well- and the sunset one is spectacular. Did you feel like Captain Jack-- "Now, bring me that Horizon..."??pirate: Arrrrrrrrrr.

The food looks wonderful on that ship.

Thanks for taking the time to share with us all your journeys---!

Jo

Glad you like the NOS pics Jo.

We really did like cruising the Caribbean - the weather was so warm - in the mid 80's, even in the night time it was warm. The water is crystal clear and warm too. And yes, I did do a lot of Captain Jack imitations throughout the cruise. It didn't help that the POTC soundtrack was going through my mind all the time. LOL!

And yes, the food was amazingly good! They take very good care of you and make sure you have plenty to eat.

Sea

Morning MAYers!!! Hope all is well with each of you!

Sea - Love your photos of DL and NOS! Love those Christmas lights!!!

Lake - My thoughts and prayers continue to be with Malik's family.

I am doing a bit of shopping, a bit of cleaning, and having lunch with my cousin today!

Have a great day!

:goodvibes

It's raining and snowing - well, not snowing Los Angeles, but in the mountains near by. We are expecting nearly 4 inches of rain today! That is crazy insane.

Lakehead- So sorry to hear about Malik. May God bless his family as they try to go on with their lives and cope with the loss of such a sweet child. :littleangel:

Sea- Thanks for all the cruise and movie pictures! They're beautiful! We're hoping to see Princess and the Frog this weekend!

Hope everyone is well!

We decorated our tree this weekend...

Great pictures Kim! :santa: Your kids are so cute. They are going to be so excited on Christmas morning when they find out about the trip!! :yay::yay:

Thanks Shelly! They are cute sometimes. Em was NOT so cute when I had to carry her screaming out of Target yesterday. That was a first for me. LOVE the 2 year old temper tantrums. Never had them with Andrew, but Em is another story- WHEW! I doubt she'll do it again. She was beyond mad that I took her to the car while DH and Andrew finished our shopping. I'm hoping I cured her and she doesn't pull that stuff at Disney! :scared1:

Kim - your kids are very cute! Good job on the Christmas tree. Your daughter looks like she almost poked out your husband's eyes. Yikes!

I am sure that they will be ecstatic about your WDW surprise trip on Christmas day.

Oh yes, I remember those days. DS10 was good for "acting up" in the store! .

Thanks to all of you on your continued prayers and support for Malik's family. So very much appreciated.:grouphug:

Kim - I love your tree! Your kids are so stickin' cute!!!

My DS was the one who acted up in stores or anywhere. Around the age of 4 he was cured. That is until the teen years!

Yeah she's not the little dainty girl I imagined having but then again neither was I so I'm sure that's where she gets it from.

Hopefully it was when he was DS3 or DS4 rather than now when he's DS10!

Awww thanks NC! I'm hoping that by putting my foot down this first time she did it that it will remind her next time not to do it again. We'll see...she tends to be as stubborn as her mama!

My vacuum has had it. :headache: Or rather I have had it with my vacuum. Anyone want to recommend a new one for me. Don't have pets and get lots of foot traffic (6 kids a day) I'd like to buy a decent one but don't want to break the bank. I do have a trip to Disney coming up you know! Priorities!
