These Are The MAYS of our Lives- The MAYers, Part VI

Hi Mayers...well the weather changed really dramatically around here. We had winds that got up to 70 mph! Signs fell down, tree branches hitting cars, etc.

On our deck, I forgot to put down the umbrella that was in the table. The wind caught the umbrella and lifted up the table and then the table came crashing down breaking the glass table top into a million pieces.

Hello to Sea, Tas, NC, Monny, KB, and all other MAYers.:snooty:

Lake--- how's Ethan doing this morning???

Jo

Ethan is doing well... fever has broken more than 12 hours and he's back to school. :)

Imaginery friends.
That's funny.

Jason and I sometimes talk more about all of you, than we do the people we see regularily here.

He often asks... where are Jodi and Mark off to, and how did they like the game? Do we have more plans yet to meet up with the mayers? When is Shelly's next trip? Did Heather get to go to a game yet? How did Chris' arm heal? What did Sea have for lunch today???

To name a few... because I often show him the pics and tell him what everyone is up to.

You are far from imaginery here... :)

I can't believe that the first time I'v ehad to check in all day is NOW.
Thanks for all the well wishes for Ethan. He's doing really well, and with both kids at school today I did a lot of errands and running around which I couldn't do while he was home.

The kids are getting really excited for halloween, especially now that Ethan is well enough to go trick or treating and to be at school for the party.

Rf- way to go!! 4 pounds that's great.
Shelly - 10 days... is it just me or is this year flying by.
Trixie... I hope the girls are feeling better too.
Jo- Sorry to hear about your may trip being a possible no-go. I know the feeling. My MIL still hasn't made any decisions, so this winter is still in the air for us as well.
Sea- We had that same thing happen to our patio table last year... so sorry!
Mari- Keep up the great work. We miss you, and are so proud of you. Full time parenting, with full time school. You ROCK!
Monny- Sorry your son is struggling with school. He just loves his mommy so much he'd rather be with her I guess. :)
NC- Great imaginery trip. Sounds like a dream.

Sea

Oh Sea!!! What a mess... We once had that happen on our wood deck. All the little glass pieces were in between the boards. :headache: I used a kitchen knife to try to wedge the glass out. It took FOREVER to clean.

One of the MAYers used the imaginary friends line once, I can't remember who, but I just think it is so funny!!! I am glad Ethan is feeling better! :goodvibes

OMG Sea! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

And I thought it was bad the time I forgot to close the umbrella and it ended up sitting on the roof! :rotfl: Yep, just sitting there, open. Looked like some kind of huge satellite dish!

Jason and I are a definite yes to Frankenmuth...
Still no movement from my MIL for a florida trip in March. So lets not worry about that anymore and plan our own thing. You and Trixie pick your best weekend..and we'll meet you there.

Hey Mayers...who else wants to join us. Just a short 1.5 hour drive north of Detroit Metro....anyone...anyone... :)

Oh...last on last night, and first on this morning.

Hope everyone is feeling better this morning.

Morning! I am finally almost 100% better after being sick.

But - we could still use some happy thoughts coming our way. :wizard:

Bob is so stressed out at work. :sad2: I feel bad - the company isn't doing great and I told you guys that they may have to close down. Well, they had meetings last week and there were several lay offs and then yesterday they had the union come in and tell everyone that there will be a 10% pay cut.

So - now he is doing all the work of all the people that are gone, working late nights, weekends - AND getting paid less for it. :guilty: The company is really busy - their costs are just outweighing their profits at this point. :sad2:

He has been really upset the past few weeks and it's starting to show a little bit between the two of us. We rarely ever fight - and we went at it last weekend. I mean - he left and went to stay at our friends house - wasn't sure that he was going to come home.

It turns out that I am adding to his stress and I didn't even realize it. :guilty: He is the type of a person that if he is annoyed by something he'll just take it and take it and take it until he blows up. And I am kind of used to him babying and pampering me - so I didn't realize that anything was wrong.

So - it's been a rocky week in our home. We could use some pixie dust for sure.

Good Morning!!!

Well, DS is starting in tonight Jr. High Varsity game. He is super excited. He has been starting on the junior varsity team all season. He had a great game on Monday night. Of course it is pouring rain. So I may be cheering in the rain.

I hope all the little MAYers are feeling better!:goodvibes

Single digits for Shelly today!!!!

Pixie Dust and big hugs headed your way.
Hang in there you guys... you love each other and respect one another. Just a bump on the road.
But you know we are here for you. :grouphug:

Yah Chris.

Way to go!

Both for starting in the game and telling your mother about it this time. :rotfl:

Okay... off to take Emmy to gymnastics and some more errands.
I need to find some great picture frames for the new family room wall.

I'll check in later.

Have a great morning! :goodvibes

 I know these things can be super stressful.

Unfortunately, with the job situation, these things are happening all over the country. MY BIL, SIL, and my brother are in a similar situation. Every week they come in and lay more people off. So basically, you just have to work your a$$ off for less money and try to work smarter, harder, and longer than the person next to you, so that when they come in and let the next person go, it will be the guy next to you rather than you.

Be sweet to Bob and love him unconditionally thru this time. Maybe he can use a little babying and extra attention right now. It is so hard because guys want to be our rock, our security, our protector, and provider. When a guy is worried that he is not going to be able to be all those things, it scares him.

We have been thru a couple of things like this. As Katiebell says, this too shall pass.

NC - Great job to Chris!!! :cheer2:

Thanks Lake. It's just weird - because we usually aren't the huge fight type of people.... Well - I am. LOL. I have a pretty bad temper. But - Bob is sooo laid back that I could NOT believe some of the things that were coming out of his mouth.

I also forgot to add that his mom is back in the St Clair because of her
Schizophrenia. He is just dealing with so much right now and I was being selfish and expecting him to be the way that he always is. :guilty:

I just need to be there more for him right now. I know he's under a lot of pressure.
