Happy Saturday MAYers! :goodvibes

Wow it has been super quiet in here lately. :confused3

Another cold and yucky day here. Took the kids for their flu mist vaccine this morning. The line was huge. Not fun!

Not sure what the rest of the weekend will bring. Other than freezing our BEHINDS off at soccer tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Mornin' :goodvibes

I am all alone until about noon, Bob had to work again this weekend. But, I guess it's a good thing and we should take as much overtime as we can get. My dad doesn't seem to think that the company has much time left. :guilty: So, we could use a little pixie dust that Bob doesn't lose his job pretty soon.

Other than that I am cleaning cleaning cleaning.... :laundy: My house looks like it got hit by a tornado this morning. It's a good day to stay inside anyway- it's COLD and nasty out there

Have a great weekend guys!

Morning!

How's it going?

We are just cold ourselves here. Maybe not snow cold, but cold nonetheless.
Waiting for the Florida/Arkansas game later this afternoon.
We're having pizza and wings. :cool1:

NC--- do you know anyone who went to Gainesville for the game? I'm curious to hear-- if you do know of someone-- what they thought of The Swamp. It is a whole lot different than Fayetteville. Very very VERY loud.:lmao:
Good luck to you guys.:goodvibes

Getting ready to watch some Oklahoma/Texas ---- and some USCe/Bama.

Ahhhhhhhhh, football.

Next week at this time, we'll be waking up in Starkville Mississippi.
Goin' to see the Gators play.

:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Rf-- PD for you guys--- I hope all works out for Bob and his job.:grouphug:

Shelly- not long now!!!

Hello to everyone---:yay:

Hello to everyone---:yay:

Jo

I hadn't heard anyone say they were going to the game. Today was Race for the Cure. Last count I heard was that we had 45,300 women registered for the race. So, most everyone I know was going to Race.

Today's game was awesome!!!

Florida won, but barely. I thought Arkansas did a very respectable job for an unranked team playing the #1 team in the nation. 23-20. But I must pay homage where it is due so....

:worship:

Florida was awesome. I was on the edge of my seat the whole game. Holy cow!!! I had been up since 2:30 a.m. due to Race and I could not relax for one second. Were you shouting at the TV like I was? Good grief.

Hernadez was fabulous and I must say that I think Tim did a wonderful job leading the team. His little up the middle play in fantastic. Your kicker deserves player of the game for Florida in my book. Did they say he is only a Sophomore? He made the kick while under tremendous pressure.

In my book, this was the SEC game of the year so far.

What did you think?

MAYers what is happening to us? No posts yesterday?

That's got to be a record. Please don't let this be the end!!! Wake up and post!!!

Nothing much going on here today. I need to start to do some serious packing. 19 DAYS!!! :cool1: We are in the teens!!!!!!!!!!!! Next week has a lot going on and the week after is going to be crazy. So I really need to get some stuff done this week before the craziness begins.

Soccer was cold & windy yesterday. :sad2: DS10's team got creamed. We had 4 kids out sick (some of our best players). Therefore we didn't even have enough to play. We had 8, need 9. Instead of the other team just putting 8 of their players on the field, they played with 9. So 8 vs 9 and us missing some of our very good players, plus no breaks for our kids the whole game, did not equal a good day. The last time we played this team we won 7-4. They beat us yesterday something like 12-0. And their parents we so obnoxious. I mean come on, when you are already up like 8-0 is it really necessary to keep ringing your cow bells and blowing your bullhorns when you score yet another goal. It was so annoying. Our kids we so mad. They just kept getting more and more irritated everytime they blew that stupid horn. How immature of grown adults to try to throw off a bunch of 10 & 11 year olds. I felt like we were at a high school or college football game in the south, these people really took a U12 soccer game way too seriously!!! :headache:

DS8's game went much better. His team is very good. They won again. They've only actually lost one game all season, last week. And DS finally scored a goal!!! :cheer2: He used to score a ton of goals when he was in the younger age group. Now that he has moved up a group and to a bigger field he hasn't scored any, until yesterday! He is great at stealing the ball from the other team, but then he just passes it on to his teammates. :confused3 So while DH is constantly trying to teach the rest of the team to not be so greedy with the ball and make good passes, we have to tell DS to stop passing so much! :rotfl: I guess he finally decided to listen and he kept the ball a lot more and did awesome!

Okay, that's the soccer wrap up for today! :lmao:

Morning MAYers. :wizard:

Sorry your DS10's game wasn't great yesterday Shelly. That is so ridiculous when people just need to keep rubbing it in. :sad2: Be respectful... They're kids for crying out loud. I'm sure you guys will beat the crap out of them next time... And I'm sure you'll do it with class. :goodvibes

Good job to DS8 though! :cheer2:

Sorry you're team lost on Saturday NC. I kept checking in throughout to hear the scores and they definitely held their own against FL.

A for effort! :thumbsup2

We were busy putting down the epoxy on our floors in the basement yesterday. They turned out great!!! I took a few 'before' pics - really quickly because they were ready to get started - and I'll take my after pictures when I get home. The floors were still a little sticky last night, so we couldn't move our stuff back in yet.

I spent something crazy like 5 hours cleaning Saturday and it still looks like a bomb went off in my house because we have all of our stuff from the basement everywhere. :sad2: Oh, well - pretty soon we'll get it all back in order!!! :yay:

Morning my MAYers.

Shelly-- good grief. Sorry the game was so bad and the parents were exuberant in their cheering. If you'd had all of your players- I'm sure the outcome would have been different.

RF- yay for new floors! I need to clean Belle's room- it truly looks like a bomb went off in there. I cleaned her bathroom this morning- sort of. That's all the energy I could expend on it though.:lmao:

NC------ wow. Just omg wow. The game. Our defense is spectacular. Our offense is sucking wind badly. Tebow once again WILLED that win. At halftime, I called my Mom and said "We don't deserve to win." She agreed. AR- I knew- would be a struggle for us.
Mallett has a very strong arm.
I have read a ton of message boards of the AR fans talking about waht they call bogus calls the refs made, and that was the reason we won the game.

The "Spot" they gave Tebow at the end was actually dead on. CBS had their yellow line wrong on the tv. We watched it over and over again b/c I was so shocked myself at what appeared to be a "Gimme". The Personal foul made against AR's player, I guess was for taunting-- you could see the AR player say something when ours was down. I still don't know about that call, though. The Offensive pass interference on Riley Cooper should have been called and wasn't.
All in all- I couldn't believe even with our four fumbles that we won the game. 90% of the time when that happens, you lose the game.

It was heart stopping. UF isn't used to those kinds of games, LOL. We either win by a large margin early or start stinking early and never come back. I don't necessarily like those types of games.:)

We were all five of us pacing the floor in the media room- and when Sturgis made the FG- we all yelled so loud that Drew's friend came running and rang the doorbell- he said he could hear us at the beginning of the cul-de-sac (we are all the way at the end).:lmao:
My mom called and said she had to take a heart pill, and Mark got ten texts immediately from coworkers all over the country that he knows. It took him an hour and a half to answer them all.:lmao: What fun.:goodvibes

Do you think that y'all will get rid of Tejada after he missed those FG's?
AR is definitley finding a groove and they are going to be a powerhouse in the near future.

Okay enough yapping. I have a Homeroom parent's mtg for Belle's class then I have to run to Drew's school for a Parent teacher conference. Then I have to start cleaning this house .... we're leaving Thursday for the game.
Drew said last night-- "I'm Disney World excited for the game." Which means-- that's a LOT of excitement.

Have a good day MAYers.

Jo

YAY the MAYers are awake!! :goodvibes

Thanks RF! Yes, those people were very disrespectful. :sad2:

I'm glad you got your floors done! :thumbsup2 Can't wait to see pics! I'm sure your house will be back to normal in no time.

What's up with everyone's MickeyPath tickers being gone???

Oh, and Happy Monday. :sad2:

I don't know. I checked their website and it seems to be up and running. :confused3 I really didn't want to start new tickers 19 days out. . .

Okay enough yapping. I have a Homeroom parent's mtg for Belle's class then I have to run to Drew's school for a Parent teacher conference. Then I have to start cleaning this house .... we're leaving Thursday for the game.

Good luck with the conferences! :goodvibes

I miss parent-teacher conference week here. We will be in Florida!!!! :yay:

Shelly - Your trip is so close! I would be beside myself with excitement and still making ADR's! Sorry your son's game was so crappy. I surprised they didn't reschedule or forfeit with so many players out.

RF - Big projects overwhelm me. I always wonder if I will EVER get things back together. I know you will love your new floor once it dries. :thumbsup2

Trix - Why aren't you happy today? :listen:

Jo - I heard at the gym this morning that Alabama has been moved to #1 because of how close AR played FL. Is that true? THAT IS JUST WRONG!!! That was the BEST game AR has played to date. We played terribly against Bama and looked like a potential top ten against FL Saturday. In fact, I think we have been the toughest game FL has had ALL season. LSU didn't play you guys are hard as we did. That is just wrong on so many levels.

The "Spot" was correct. When they measured, Tebow got it. That was not a gimme IMHO. I am not sure what the personal foul was. I know the ref said taunting but I never saw it and who knows what happened or what was said. When you play such a passionate game, there's gonna be some trash talk, so I did kinda think that was a bad call, but I wasn't there and couldn't see it so who knows. And I agree on the Riley Cooper call as well, but ya know your gonna favor your own team on these things.

The joke at the gym this morning was, "Do you know what Tejada means in Spanish?" and the answer is "Choke!" :lmao:

If he had made his TWO very makeable field goals, we would have won.

Anyway, I thought it might have been game of the season. It was awesome and the only Arkansas player who should be remorseful is Tejada!!!

Hi Mayers!

Ok, what a busy weekend!

Woke up Saturday at 6:30 am to set up a garage sale - let me just say this, Craigslist rocks! Perfect day, sunny about 85, had over 150 people come and we sold a lot of stuff really fast.

It was a nice feeling of accomplishment - but it was a bit overwhelming too - you can't really keep everything - but it is weird how an electric carving knife my MIL used every Thanksgiving (and didn't really work that great anyway) - can make you shed a tear.

I guess I am getting old and sentimental. LOL!

Sunday, we just rested up from Saturday. Got a new 32 inch TV and put it into our bedroom. Love it!

So that is that.

Hi Mayers! It was a busy weekend at my house. We had a birthday party to go to on Saturday and yesterday DD and I went shopping- training her young ;) Plus there was the usual cleaning and laundry and grocery shopping. No time to say hello to my far away friends.

Shelly- sorry about the game- I really hate it when the parents are like that.
What's it teaching the children? :headache:

I miss my ticker too. The little Mickey was starting to move and I hate to make another one.

Happy Monday Mayers.

Things are going really well here, and Miss Emmy seems to be back on tracK.
Yahhhhhhhhh!!!!

The weather improved enough here to do some yard work this weekend, and go for a walk at a conservation area. The colours are really just starting , and it reminded me why fall is my favorite time of year.
Once we did that it was back to the renovations. The mudding and sanding has begun..then it will be painting time... I can't believe how quickly we are actually moving along it it considering Jason is away much of the week.

Can't wait for it to all be done and to be able to enjoy it all.

Hi guys...quick pop in on my lunch break...

RF, yay for new floors! Our kitchen lino is thrashed, I want to put bamboo in there (we have a long galley style kitchen with seating at the far end, no separate dining room). Our carpet could seriously use replacing, too. and YAY for almost less than a year on your ticker! :woohoo:

Lake, glad that Emmy is back on track...:thumbsup2

Shelly, it's amazing how petty and rude some adults can behave at kids' games. :sad2: Whatever happened to teaching -- and modeling -- good sportsmanship??

Sea -- sounds like a great successful garage sale! I know, it can be hard to part with little sentimental things that won't mean anything to someone else. I have my grandfather's pocket watch, which doesn't run, but it's just special to have something that belonged to him. And congrats on the cool new TV! :happytv:

The Alice Cooper concert was fabulous, we were only one row back from center stage. It was very "B Movie-Vincent Price" style horror, great music, and he is quite a showman, funny, not ego tripping, really worked the crowd. And we got a lot nicer room than I realized we would get -- a suite with an amazing view of Lake Tahoe :goodvibes Went to a Renaissance Faire yesterday, so didn't get hardly any of my weekend chores done. Will have to do a little each night after work...

Take care, Mayers! I'll try to work on my TR a bit more tonight if I can...

wow....I was last to post yesterday, and first to post today? Now, THAT'S a first :confused3 Good morning, Mayers, and hope you have a good day! :goodvibes

Trix - Why aren't you happy today? :listen:

Well, my day started off (before school) in the principal's office getting a kid into some serious trouble because of something that happened with DD10 on Friday afternoon. I don't really want to get into it on the boards, but he was suspended and it was not a fun morning.

On a much happier note, New Moon tickets go on sale today around here! Have any of you bought yours yet??? Did you get one for me, too??? :lmao:

Morning!

Super sonic speed fly by-- I'm on my way to get my hair done.

Trix--- ETA--- saw your post- then the delete. Thank goodness she told you. It could have been bad. Hope there's not retalitation from that boy-- he probably won't do anything. He probably just thought it was cool. I'm sure his parents are mortified. I would be.

Hello to all the MAYers near and far.

Hey- could someone throw me soem PD for a pin code? Everyone's getting all kinds of pins for 40% off deluxes Mar- May and I haven't gotten one. Wah, wah, wah. I want one. I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed one.:rotfl: I've ordered the maps, DVD's, savedc vacations on the wdw website. Nada.
I guess Disney doesn't want our moolah next year. B/c if I don't get a good code--- I ain't going and that's that.;)

Have a good day guys!

jo

Then I have to start cleaning this house .... we're leaving Thursday for the game.
Drew said last night-- "I'm Disney World excited for the game." Which means-- that's a LOT of excitement.

I'm so excited for you all! I can't wait to hear all about him! I mean the game...I can't wait to hear all about the game! :rotfl2:
