Good morning Mayers!

Your cruise sounds wonderful Lake! Did you know that Disney is the only cruise line that can legally do fireworks off their ships? I thought that was cool.

We are thinking of doing a Alaskan cruise with Disney when they move the ships over here. Can't wait!

RF - I hope your ADR and trip planning goes well. Is this first time trip to WDW for your aunt, uncle and cousin? I think you should do a cruise too. Of course, I am a bit bias about cruising...

Our weather has cooled off, but we are still having very nice days - in the low 80's and sunny.

I think next year will be the year we cruise definitely. Bob has never been on one before and it's been 10 years since my last one - so I think we're due!

And it is definitely NOT the 1st trip for my family. I LOL'd when I read that. You'll understand in a second.

The last trip that I went to WDW before I met Bob was with my grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousin. That was when I was 17. This trip will be my cousin Mike's..... I think.... 17th trip. and he is 20 years old. Hahahaa.

So, no - none of us are rookies. LOL.

I think Bob will won over by cruising by the end of the first day. It is such a fun and relaxing experience.

Your family sounds like true Disney fans! Are you planning to do any water parks?

We are going to do both water parks this trip. Can't wait to try them out!

I think I was a little over excited about the Europe cruise. LOL. I don't think we can drop $5,000 on a cruise.

You know.... with the whole unemployment thing at my house.

But I found a nice one on Carnival that goes through the caribbean. It would be over Bob's birthday in March and it's about 1/4 of the cost. So, if I can convince him to go on another vacation so quickly - we may do that one.

Morning all....

All you guys talking about cruising did I mention that I think in May 2012 we are going to do a Dis Cruise. I don't want to go on any cruise until I do a disney one first. I already told the DH that i want a cruise as my graduation present.... i'm hoping to finish in May 2012... i know a whole 1 1/2 yrs left.... but hey at least i'll be an RN when i'm done.....

Today it's so icky out.... humid....raining... ugh.... tommorow it will be 98.... i will be in the mall ALL day that way i don't run up our electricity bill.....lol .... or i'll be in the pool but i think it's suppose to rain also....

I know that you have posted pictures you have taken and there is one that looks like it was a minature version of stuff.... what camera do you have.... i have a great camera but it's one of those bulky camera's, so i want to know which one you have.... also can you post a pic like that... i LOVE those pics so much....

BTW - i'm in the market for a new camera so i'm reserching it now..... thanks

I have the Canon PowerShot SX 210 IS http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/digital_cameras/powershot_sx210_is

The setting you are talking about is call "Tilt Shifting" - to use it properly, you have to shoot the picture from a higher position, such as a balcony, second floor, a place you can shoot down from, so that the camera can capture that perspective properly and give you the desired picture.

Here is one I took, standing up on the Main St. Train station shooting down towards City Hall.

Another fun setting to play with is "Fish Eye" mode

The camera also shoots in extremely low light situations as well. This is in the Haunted Mansion, zoomed in! 6400 iso!

I recommend the camera highly. I am very satisfied with the quality I am getting. I am still learning how to use it and getting the most out of it.

Thank you RF! - I recommend flying to Hawaii and experiencing an island or two rather than cruising your first time there. The beaches are so nice and you wouldn't be able to spend much time on the beach or exploring the beauty of the islands. There are some great deals out there now and I sure in the near future as well - keep looking and dreaming! - Sea

Hello- Jason's mom and step dad have moved in with us for the next 2 weeks until their new condo is ready.

Then tomorrow we are attending the kids season end soccer tournament...it should be exciting...and very hot!

Tuesday night I ma hoping to finally get around to taking my kids to see Toy Story. It will be my 3rd attempt...something else has always come up though.

So ... my wonderous husband comes home with news that he is attending a conference in Orlando in October for 2 days....at the Disney HILTON OF ALL PLACES!!!! So at this point I am feeling, yes a bit jealous. Then once again he makes my dream come true when he says..... that he checked the prices on flights and they are great ( dtw to mco... not usually low like that)...and then says and by the way mom and step dad offered to take the kids for those nights....SO.... Do you want to go with me for a getaway????

Um..... really...what did he think my answer would be.

So we are going to double check to see if in fact Grandma and Grumpa are free... and then I may be doing my disney christmas shopping for the kids....AT DISNEY!!!!!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!
