Morning all!!!!! Quick stop... For my anatomy exam I got a B... So far my overall grade in that class is a B plus..... And now my vaca is pushed back.... I have my last final on the 10th.... And then I have jury duty on the 17th so I would have to go after that.... It's looking promising guys.....meaning my trip....

Hey MAYers. How was everyone's weekend?

Ours was VERY uneventful. It got really cold here, so we stayed in all weekend and caught up on our DVR and some old TV. It was really nice to not have so many plans.

Our patio is almost done. I need to put up some pictures soon!!!

Heather - Can't wait to see pics of the finished Patio..... it was VERY cold here too... today it's cold aswell... good thing I didn't put away all my sweaters....

I'm trying to make ADR's just incase... i don't found 1 to CP.... but i'll keep looking everyday..... i'm bummed that i'll miss the flower and garden thing though... it makes WDW look so much nicer although i will enjoy it just the same... oh and I found flights for 384.... for me and marissa but leaving out of JFK.... which is about 40 min away from me... the closest one to me is 460.... i gotta see if it's worth it to fly all the way over there....

oh yeah one more thing i saw my grandpa over the weekend and i was telling him about my maybe trip and how much i wanted to go and stuff... i'm putting the air tickets on his credit card cause he said that if i do good in school that he will just pay for them... and i know i'm doing good in school.... woohoo..... i'm telling you guys it's looking promising.... all i would have to pay would be for the resort and such..... depending on how many ADR's i can get i might just spring for the DDxP....

Its going. Slow but getting there. I feel like I have spread myself thin this year. With all my volunteering. PTA, girlscouts, class mom and soccer coach. Not to mention I still work from home. LOL I am tired just reading that.

So, I spent some time "crunching the numbers" on our August WDW trip. Found a good deal on POFQ. Every time I would do the Swan or Dolphin, the numbers would change. Plus they charge like 16$ to park the car and a $35.00 per day "resort fee".

That adds up to almost the cost of taking a half a person to WDW for eight days.

So, it looks like we are focusing on POFQ right now. Probably will book it soon.

Didn't do too much for my birthday. Like RF said, it was a cold weekend. Hard to take 40's after it was in the 80's for a few weeks! DS11 had a hockey game Saturday. We went to dinner Saturday night. DS8 had a soccer game yesterday. Just the usual weekend!

So what dates are you looking at in August Sea? The resort fee at the Swan/Dolphin is only $10 a day. Still more than I would like to pay, but I don't think it is $35 unless that's new. The website still says $10. I know they charge for parking too. That stinks. Wouldn't affect us though since we don't rent a car. Stupid fees. Those add up fast. Makes me mad. Just like airline baggage fees!

I don't where I got the $35.00 resort fee from - maybe from the Orbitz site? Anyways you are correct about it being $10.00 a day from the Disney site. I probably got some numbers mixed up somewhere along the line - I was searching Expedia, Orbitz, Hotwire, Travelocity and Kayak for air fare, hotel and car rentals trying to find the best deal.

The dates we are looking at is Aug. 10-18 and I am 90% sure we are going to go with POFQ.

I am going to go over to AAA as Huggie suggested tomorrow to see if they can get me better pricing.

We are probably going to all just take carry-ons for our trip. We might just take one suitcase if I get a speaking engagement. We figure that there is no reason to take a whole lot of clothes - we are going to amusement parks not to a fashion show. Plus we can wash anything we take with us - that is our response to those stupid baggage fees.

Sea- If you want my mom is a aaa travel agent. Send me you dates and where you would like to stay (etc) and I will send her the info. You can book the whole trip with her over the phone. I can see if there are any other delas coming out that we might know about.

I found a code that would get it for me for 99.95 and then I read on this fantastic board that you can call photopass and inquire about getting a code for 50 dollars off the purchase of a photopass cd. MY GF who is coming with us who we are sharing the cd with called for me and got the email promotion code emailed to her. I used it and now between all my friends we are paying 16 per couple. So I hope this helps.
