it's been since Oct 2008 that we were there-- I can't believe it's been that long.

We are looking forward to a more relaxed pace that staying at the Poly will bring.

It's just hard to part with the $$




I'd rather go for free.

Well, we had a Disney-filled weekend! This is going to take multiple posts because I am still sorting through the pictures and editing the videos.

FRIDAY, MARCH 19th:

So Friday...as soon as my wife got done teaching we headed down to DLR and got on the freeways around 3:20 pm. Jeremy came with us, but he took his car because he was meeting up with friends later on at Medieval Times in Buena Park. It is a dinner show with horses and actors putting on sword fights and jousting contests. Jeremy said it was stupid, over priced and the food was crappy. His party at MT didn't start until 8 pm so he came with us to DL for a while.

The traffic was what I expected...busy, but not jammed. We were able to get down to the park in just a little over an hour. Not bad! By the time, we got on trams, through bag check and into the park, it was a bit after 5 pm! NICE!

KB and Brrt were waiting for us at Coke Corner, they wanted to see the Dapper Dans again. It was so good to see them - they were having a great anniversary vacation and they looked like their celebration trip was perfect!

After catching up and yakking a bit, we had to go and find the DD's...they move around on Main Street. We found them in front of the Firehouse. It was a great show - took some video and it is uploading now, so I will post a link later.

Now it is ride time!

We then headed over to the Temple of the Forbidden Eye for a ride on the Indiana Jones adventure! Love that ride! Next up was POTC! Even though it was bit crowded because of Spring Break, we didn't wait more than 15 minutes to get on the ride.

Next we headed over to Fantasyland and rode the Matterhorn! I love this ride at night time. So many twists and turns - it gets a bit disorienting at times, but really fun! After that, it was time to ride Alice in Wonderland! This is one of my favorite dark rides.

We were a bit hungry now, so we went over to the Plaza Inn for dinner. Fried chicken, Roast Sirloin, Mashed Potatoes, Biscuits, Salads, Drinks...we ate it all. LOL! Very yummy food!

The crowds were gathering for fireworks, so we headed over to my "top secret" spot in Tomorrowland. We did videoing, but then we got busted by a CM and had to leave...boo hoo!!! Oh well, maybe next time! Anyways we went to my other favorite place around there and saw the fireworks from there. Very beautiful! We did some more videoing and here is your "Shout Out" video guys:

Aren't KB's props just awesome?!?! We had lots of fun making the video.

Next up was Scot "Elvis" Bruce. He was burning up the dance floor at Tomorrowland Terrace! The crowd just loves him and he really does put on a great show and he keeps get invited back to perform because he gets a ton of compliments at City Hall.

Unfortunately, we had to leave because we had a long day ahead of us the next day. We said our goodbyes and hugs. KB & Brrt are awesome Mayer friends! This is our third meet up! We really hope some of the Mayers can come out and see us at DL. We promise you a good Disney time!

It is a nice sunny day, but cool day here. It is suppose to get warmer the next few days.
