Can't wait for my next Disney trip and people keep asking "what's so good about it: :scared1: ?" So I thought I'd start a thread of my favorite Disney things. Please add yours :goodvibes

Riding in the front cab of the monorail
MVMCP and snow on Main Street
hearing "Welcome Home"
Jellyrolls - There's just no place like it
an Illuminations Cruise
My dd's face as she sees Cinderella's castle or Capt. Phoebus ;)

I look through my pics and videos and miss WDW a lot. My favorite thing to remind me of WDW is listening to WDW music or music from the Jellyrolls boys. Jason from Jellyrolls just came out with his new cd http://www.jacemusic.com/ (listen to the music clips) and it just makes me want to go back even earlier to hang out at the Boardwalk :goodvibes

Anybody else have any favorite things they want to share?

I will be visiting with my sister the last week of October :goodvibes ...some of my favorite things about WDW?....

The excitement of seeing the castle in the distance from the boat
Seeing/meeting characters and getting photo's with my favorites (I waited in line with a bunch of kids under 10 to meet Peter Pan once!)
The Haunted Mansion - I had the album (yes, the album) when I was little and I love hearing the same sounds on the ride.

It is a magical place no matter how old one gets - driving under the Magic Kingdom sign knowing my day-to-day worries/stress disappear can't be beat! :wizard:

6 weeks from our 2nd trip this year; my favorites:

1.Walking onto Main st. USA
2. When my DD(8) sees are WDW hotel for the first time, gets really quite for a second and then can't contain herself until she hits the sliding board at the pols for the first time.
3.The boat from our hotel to MK(or back)
4.Seeing DD favorite character for the first time(last time it was Mulan, I think this time she is hopeful Kim Possible is in the Parks)
5.Wishes
6. Africa area and Kali River at AK
7.Trying something new(this time-Soarin'/stunt show at MGM and test track and splash mountain(1st time for DD "big rides")
8.doing a favorite-carousel of progress,aladin,little mermaid to name a few
9.CA Grille
10.Reading fun stuff on DIS, sorry to ramble

I have to agree that going under that WDW sign is very moving (We scream)! :jumping1: Also, I love hearing that welcome home! :cool1: But, my highlight is riding my favorite ride (POC) for the first time and knowing I have many more days to ride again!

I'm going with my sister in January for my birthday. Some of my favorites are

Smelling the cookies baking on Main Street
Begging my sister to go on Tower of Terror just one more time
The smell of Florida when you first come out of the airport
Sitting in the rocking chairs at the Yacht and Beach Club
Eating a No Way Jose at Beaches and Cream
and finally...
acting like a kid again with no worries

Ahhh -- here are some of my favorites . . .

Walking under the train station and onto Main Street with all of the stores, looking at the Castle

Shopping at the Emporium :earboy2:

Getting a nice bucket of popcorn so I can eat the yummy popcorn and take the bucket home to refill while I "pretend" I am at WDW :teeth:

Eating a hotdog at Casey's while sitting outside to see the Castle, and at the same time, watching and listening to that great piano player ::MinnieMo

Having my cheeseburger with mushrooms at Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe while sitting at "my table" outside, watching all of the activity around me and the ducks below :earsgirl:

While at EPCOT's UK, sitting in "my garden" at my bench, just relaxing and having wonderful quiet and prayer time. :flower:

Me too for going under the sign!
Being in the hotel pool alone at night and seeing the lights from Pleasure Island or MGM
The part right after the drop on Splash Mountain where everyone is laughing and talking about how soaked they got
The smores at 50s Prime Time
Going to sleep in your Disney hotel on the first night knowing you have a whole vacation in front of you
Having a whole week with my husband where we can talk and laugh and just be together

Cookies! And Ice Cream! There's so many yummy things to pick from.
I could live in the bakery!

Walking down Main Street - nothing compares to that. :rotfl:

Riding the monorail - it's transportation and an attraction all in one.

Walking from our room at POR to the food court at night, hearing the crickets and enjoying the landscaping....and then getting our dessert!

The view down Main Street early in the morning when the sidewalks are still wet, and everyone is walking in.

The look on DH and DD (age 16) faces as they get off of (Test Track, Mission Space, Space Mountain) for the umpteenth time

Dinner at Boatwright's...we go there every time for the jambalaya!

Falling asleep, exhausted, in those comfy beds at POR

My top 20 list with the understanding that these are in no particular order

1) the feeling as you see the sign at the entrance to the World from I-4

2) The feeling watching the Magic Kingdom Park opening

3) Watching my 3 year old's face when he sees his favorite characters

4) tasting the food that is so wonderful - even when it's bad

5) just knowing that I can leave my concerns at the sign

6) watching my wife as she watches my son enjoying himself

7) the magical moments that just happen

8) the smell of the monorails

9) did i mention the food?

10) never having to leave the magic by staying on site - a wonderful addition we discovered on our honeymoon 7 years ago at the Contemporary...

11) Illuminations

12) The World Showcase

13) The Combo platter at Tangerine Cafe

14) For my wife and me, the ride home while we discuss and analyze every detail of the trip

15) The resorts

16) Listening to my son cackle during Goofy's Barnstormer

17) Hearing him say "I Love you Mickey" at the Judge's Tent in toontown

18) Doing my best to surprise my wife with something magical

19) Waking up in the morning and knowing that we are "In the magic"

20) Rounding the corner from Town Square and seeing the castle full on for the first time.

And my all time favorite thing is hearing Disney music playing regardless of where you are in the parks/resorts.

These are just a few of my favorite things.

God bless!
