I was listening to an interview yesterday where someone was interviewing the possible next first lady. She was speaking of her past miscarriages. She told the interviewer she had had several and she calls them "pinkies". Do we really want someone as first lady who seems so insensitive? Wouldn't it been just as effective to say she had several misscarriages and leave it at that? All I know is, I do not care if Heinz is the best ketchup in the world and when you pour it dollar bills flow from the spout. I will never buy it.

She doesn't own the company, doesn't even have a controlling interest int he company -- which, by the way, is heavily Republican. so not buying Heinz ketchup is hurting her...how?

Where did she get the name "pinkies" from? Being from another country that might be a term they use when they refer to miscarriages. And if she wants to refer to them that way that's her business.

I am not a Theresa Kerry fan but wasn't she talking about having daughters in heaven. I thought that is where the pinkie came from. Referring to losing her female babies. I could be wrong but I had the story relayed to me in that context.
