Sorry for sounding a bit like Dorothy here, but when my DH and I went to visit our DD and DSIL last month (they have just moved to Clermont), we went to WDW during the day, but stayed at their house. When we were on the boat going from DHS to Beach Club to eat at Beaches and Cream, we just looked wistfully at BWV as we went by and I said how strange it was to not be going "home" at night to BWV, one of our home resorts. DH said he felt the same way, and he really missed that feeling of being "in on the action".
Thankfully when we come in January we will stay with DD for a few days and then "come home" to WDW. :cloud9:

I have to say I know what you mean. I don't own a DVC (yet!) but I feel that way if I have to fly to the Orlando International Airport for anything else other than WDW. I hate knowing that The World is so close and I'm not going there!

For us.. we get that feeling every time we drive in to SSR. The beautiful colors.. spacious areas, and the springs... no place like our home resort!!!

That happened to us in 2007. We stayed at POR with free hoppers and water parks passes. A good deal with three kids!

We stopped at The Boardwalk to show our kids our most favorite place in WDW and I was sooooooo sad not be staying there! I was honestly bummed to go back to POR. lol
