There's been rumours that toys R us is coming to cruise ships which cruise ships will it be on apart from Disney as Disney has it's own company and their partners such as Bvlgari jewellery shop.

Anyway which Carnival, Royal Caribbean and MSC cruise ships will toys R us be on

I don't know about it being a rumor, I saw it reported on Nat'l news yesterday as part of a financial newscast as part of a active plan the Company has. Also mentioned opening stand alone stores again.

*no, don't have a source - just heard it as the news was on background when I was putzing around the kitchen.

Why would anyone buy them then? If you could get it cheaper by just ordering it online and having it shipped directly to your house?

I seen this article on Fox 35 Orlando Facebook page and CNN news saying that there are going be more toys R us stores opening 24 flagship stores and coming to cruise ships and airports.

They were pretty much maintained in Canada when the parent company sold it off to keep them from going down with the ship. More recently they've had these mini stores in Macy's, but they weren't really Toys 'R Us.

I have a lot of memories of them. And as a new parent going there to get diapers, even at locations that weren't also Babies 'R Us.

THey couldn't stay in business when they tried to sell toys "cheap" in brick and mortar, how do they think they can keep things running selling expensive toys on ships and in airports.

Yup. I'd go so far as to say not only would I not buy toys on a cruise, I would also avoid a ship that sold toys. I don't want a cruise with a ton of kids on it unless I'm traveling with kids myself.
