Chapter 11: Saturday May 13th, the end of the road
Before heading to bed on the previous night we decided we wanted to get on the road at a decent time in favor of getting home at a decent time. I believe we actually left between 7 and 7:30 am with a stop at the McDonalds that was next to the hotel for a quick breakfast to go (mostly coffee for mom and I haha). It was a pretty uneventful drive on this day and we only had traffic issues once which was due to an accident. We made it back to central Illinois around 5 and dropped Warren off at his parents house to pick up his car and the dog. This was such a great trip full of so many awesome memories! I think it is my favorite trip thus far!
Some of our highlights from the week:
Our favorite meal: The Boathouse wins this one but we also enjoyed Crystal Palace, The Hoop de Doo, and Garden Grill
The most bummer meal: Tusker House by far (so disappointed)
Favorite Show: Hoop de Doo and Illuminations
Natalia's Favorite Ride: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Favorite Characters: Mickey, Daisy, and Tigger
Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom were our favorite parks of the trip because there was more for Natalia to be able to do there. We wanted to make sure she was just as involved in the trip as the rest of us.
We really enjoyed staying at Old Key West and could go on forever about how nice it was! I already made a whole post about it so I will refrain from repeating but it was definitely a highlight of the trip.
Being able to have our whole family in a place that is so special to us can't be described by words alone. I think the pictures help tell the story of all the fun we had. It was a bummer that my other brother Kyle couldn't join us but he was there in spirit and kicking butt at his new job instead.
