I text my BFF and let her know that we had FP’s for RnR AND ToT. This meant that they wouldn’t have to wait to ride when they got there since DD nor DH would ride either one. She texted back that she was on the way there and that she would meet us at ToT.

We rode the Great Movie Ride while we were waiting for her to get there.

DSC00791.jpg

Pluto was out and we wanted a picture, but he was trying to find some hand prints his feet would fit in.

DSC00792.jpg

DSC00793.jpg

Which was cute, but we just wanted a picture. He wouldn’t settle down, so we just left.

DSC00795.jpg

Now we really like this ride. It is a nice place to relax and I like that last montage they do when the ride is over. We got the cowboy scene and we got this girl – AGAIN – who is a phenomenally bad actress. She has a terrible fake “gangster” accent and she doesn’t speak loud enough. You cannot hear her at all. Some of those actors really project their voices well and don’t even need a microphone. You can’t even hear this one in the microphone. She is just terrible and I can’t understand why she is still working this ride. This was third time we have had her, and she just stinks. Anyway, rant over.

After that we grabbed a snack.

DD with a really large Sycamore leaf.

DSC00796.jpg

And her ice cream

DSC00797.jpg

DS got a pretzel

DSC00798.jpg

We went back over to ToT to meet my friend and her daughter. It was then that she told me that she doesn’t ride RnR because it puts too much pressure on her chest. I didn’t want to ride without her, so DS and her DD went and rode while we waited.

DSC00799.jpg

DSC00800.jpg

They then wanted to ride ToT and I chickened out so the two of them just rode it.

DSC00801.jpg

After that, we still had 2 FP’s for RnR and two for ToT. So they rode each one again while DH took DD over to her Jedi Training and BFF and I got caught up with each other and chatted about Disney.

I was hungry so I grabbed a Fairfax Salad from Fairfax Fare.

I really like this salad as it has a southwest flair with salsa and crunchy tostita strips.

Oh, I got some carrot cake, too.

Mmm .. Mickey Head ice cream !
Although that salad looks kind of yummy too ! :thumbsup2

That salad is really good. Nice southwestern taste to it. I really enjoyed it and I would definitely get it again!! All of the good stuff was at the bottom !! Sooo yummy !!

Do you ever read the Dining Reviews ?? You seem like you would enjoy them. I know that I do !!

Wow, that is some massive leaf!!! I think I know which Great Movie Ride CM you're talking about...some of them do seem to have problems projecting their voice. But we've gotten a few CM's on that ride that seem to ABSOLUTELY LOVE their job and it makes all the difference!

Isn't that leaf cool ??

We have gotten this horrible CM THREE times. Really .... I think that I could do better and that is saying a lot !! I agree that the ones that are good actors make the ride more enjoyable.

That is the biggest leaf that I've ever seen!

Okay, I hate getting terrible actors on the Great Movie Ride! You would think that they would put a little more effort into finding better actors. The last time I was there our guy was pretty awesome. A bit older too, which probably added to why he was so good.

We have had some good ones of course, but this girl .... she was horrible !! And I really can't believe she is till there.

I almost wished we had saved that leaf, it was so big and cool looking. But it would have dried out and made a mess anyway.

Your DS has traded so many of those vinylmations so far during your trip, just curious how many did he actually end up going home with? This looks so fun to do but something I couldn't get into due to the fact that once I bought it I wouldn't want to hand it over to anyone lol. Guess that's why I will never get in to trading pins either.

He had his own gift card and used his money to buy them and I think he came home with 7 total. We really enjoyed trading and collecting. He may have conned DH into buying hm one. We did find some on sale.

Day 5 – Part 4

After that the kids were done riding and we went over to see if we could catch DD in her Jedi Training and I got there just as they were getting onto the stage.

So DD graduated from Jedi Academy and will now forever be a Padawan.

Your DD looks like she took her Padawan status very seriously. I love watching Jedi Training. It's just so adorable watching all of the kids get into it.

The Jedi Academy looks so cute! Yay for your DD's Padawan status!

It really is cute !! DD loves doing it and this was her third time. Sadly DS decided he had outgrown it and doesn't want to do it anymore.

They are so cute and so funny. And the lady that "runs" the show is really funny, too. The whole thing is very entertaining. Next time you go back with Joaquin, you should sign him up. I would so love to see that video !!

At least no one converted to the dark side like in this youtube video from Disneyland http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5mK7dzyUkM

HILARIOUS !!! Thanks so much for sharing !!

I love the pics of your DD in Jedi training ! I wish my guys would do this .. but are much to shy. :sad2: Although they LOVE Darth Vader .. they'll get a kick out of seeing him.
Great pics !

Great pics !

It really is surprising how NOT scared some of the kids are. My kids love doing this. But you need to sign up early. So if you do try it, make sure you have your older DS run for TSM FP's and you take the younger boys to sign up for Jedi Training. You get so many great photos. And if you buy the Photopass CD, then they put photos on that as well. See if you can get them to do it.

Caught up. :) I got to see the Jedi Training Academy last week and it was so cute! I always wondered, do the kids get to keep their lightsabers?

They do not get to keep anything except the diploma they get for "graduating". It is still fun and it doesn't cost anything to do it.

Day 5 – Part 5

While DD was doing the Jedi Academy, my BFF took DS and her DD to ride Star Tours. By this time the park had started to get really crowded. It was about noon. The kids wanted to go over to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, so we went over there and did that for a while. DH said it was really crowded in there.

Afterwards, my kids were saying they were hungry, but we wanted to do the drawing class, so we went over there to see if we could get in while DH went over to Backlot Express to see about getting lunch for him and the kids.
Once we got over to the Animation Academy, there was a good many people waiting to take the class. They told us it would be about 40 more minutes before we could get in. BFF and her DD decided to wait it out and after that they were headed to Epcot. I knew the kids would not be able to wait that long to eat, so we parted ways and went over to Backlot Express to meet up with DH.

DSC00844.jpg

We grabbed a table since he was still in line to get food. While we were waiting I took more photos of DD’s face painting.

DSC00845.jpg

DSC00849.jpg

I just love her sweet little girl face.

And then DH came back with the food.

He got a salad.

DSC00852.jpg

And the kids each got Chicken nuggets and French Fries.

DSC00853.jpg

And for dessert DH got some turtle cheesecake

DSC00854.jpg

The kids had cookies.

DD and DS being silly. DS thought this up and I have to admit, it was pretty funny.

DSC00856.jpg

So after lunch we decided to head back to the resort and get some rest.

Some photos on the way out.

DSC00857.jpg

DSC00859.jpg

And of course the kids wanted to swim.

Here’s a view of our veranda from the pool.

DSC00873.jpg

So I went back inside to do some more laundry and pack some things up. And DH and I watched football while keeping our eye on the kids at the pool. I wrote in my journal and we just chilled until it was time for our 5:20 ADR for Cape May Café.

Day 5 – Part 6

Dinner at Cape May Cafe

My BFF and her DD were supposed to meet us there so we were looking forward to having dinner with them.

DSC00874.jpg

DSC00875.jpg

DSC00876.jpg

So here’s the deal about me and buffet food porn. I think it is intrusive to take photos of the food AT the buffet. It was pretty busy up there and I just thought it might be rude. And I kinda think buffet plates can be kinda icky. A glop of this, a spoonful of that. So I didn’t take a lot of food photos.

DSC00878.jpg

Overall, we really enjoyed this buffet. DH enjoyed the seafood and I enjoyed some of it, but there were some things I couldn’t eat because I am allergic to shellfish. DH and BFF said the calm chowder was really good and both went back for seconds. Besides seafood, they had a good many other things to eat that were very good. There was prime rib and BBQ ribs (those were fantastic). The bread was great and veggies were very good. I didn’t have anything that I didn’t like to be honest. The kids really enjoyed the macaroni and cheese. And here is a picture of my dessert plate.

DSC00879.jpg

Starting from top left … pumpkin cheesecake, raspberry cheesecake, key lime tart and oreo bon bon. All were amazing, but the pumpkin cheesecake was the best. Soo yummy. I got another one.

So Cape May was a success and we decided we must return the next chance we got. After dinner, we headed back to the Boardwalk to rest, pack and watch more football.

This was rivalry week in college football and our team, the South Carolina Gamecocks were playing the Clemson Tigers/ There was a lot of hype surrounding the game because both team were ranked within the top 20 and it seemed to be a really good match up.

I was a little nervous about watching this game because DH can get pretty emotional about our team and that can just make watching it with him VERY un fun. It turns out our team played really well and the other team didn’t. Our quarterback was amazing and ran for over 100 yards the first half.

So we were really happy with the win and drifted off to sleep knowing we had another early day the next day and also, we were going home the next day, so we were pretty bummed about that.
