There is a fox den in my back yard! And now a coyote too! Photo added!

Okay, I thought I'd ask my mother what she thought it was without telling her anything about the thread or your suspicions. She said she thinks it's a camel. :earseek: :earseek:  :o

ROTFLMBO! Oh my gosh, I haven't laughed that hard in a couple of days! :teeth: Only my mother. :o

See how muscular it is too? According to the website I went to it said wolves have strong legs while the coyote is much thinner legged. Darn thing has not been around today. I wanted to get a shot of its face as the ears are a giveaway. DS saw it with me and agreed the ears were blunt not long and pointed like a coyote. "here wolfie wolfie...here wolfie"

Hey a camel now that WOULD be a find in MA.! It's snout is down in the fox hole which makes it look headless.

LMAO...you guys are sooooo funny!!!
Actually kinda looks like a moose to me!

Lisajl;)

See the problem is it's head is in the fox hole. I saw it up close before it stuck it in there (while I was running for the camera) and it definately looked wolvelike to me. Maybe the tag fairies could add an animated head on it to give you a better idea? :)

It could be a wolf hybrid. People breed dogs (often German Shepherds) with wolves sometimes. Don't get me started on this as I am not a fan of this practice.

Even if there are not wolves in your area, I would think that a hybrid turned loose into the wild would be a good possibility.

Your photo is definitely NOT of a coyote.

I am sad that he/she is looking to eat the baby foxes.:(

Doesn't look like a coyote to me either. Dodie may have something with the wolf/dog breed idea. I have heard of other instances where the owners of these mixed-breed animals eventually let them loose in wooded areas when their behavior became more wild and out of control as they matured.

I thought it looked like Kathie Lee Gifford!!!

;) :teeth:

Glad we got the pics working for ya finally Ann. . :) :) :) I'm no expert, but it sure looks like a wolf to me!!

Well if it was a hybrid it was definately in the wild for a long time because it walked in a stalking type manner..kinda creepy not like any dog I have ever had. And it was very grey I know in the photo it does not look grey but it did when I looked at it-maybe the flash off the slider changed the tone on the film some?

now if DH would stop laughing at my obsession with this. His secretary called at lunch time and asked if I wanted to borrow her husband's "musket" Ha ha ha peter and the wolf again.
Da Da da da da da da da da da da da da da... (you'd have to know the tune to get it)

OMG!

I am laughing so hard at this - Saffron, that's hilarious!!

I made Fishbone come over to my desk to see it, now we have the giggles.

We decided it looks like a kangaroo that's bending down! :teeth:

tamie

She said she thinks it's a camel.

Ummmmm...... what she imbibing from WillyJ's stash of NyQuil again?? :teeth:

Will,
Can't be Kathy Lee - she would never stick her head in the ground - she always seeks the spotlight!;)

My guess - wolf. It's way too big for a coyote, IMO.

I always wanted to go to Australia... but really the face is much meaner.. tag faireys help me out and put a face on it

Heeheehee! :p You have to understand, my mother is a very serious person. In any given conversation I'm bound to use these expressions at least once:   :teeth:  LOL! She gets so mad at me when I laugh too. :p Today when I fell out laughing over the camel comment, she said, "Oh!" and waved her hand at me and stormed off. I think she thought I was trying to fool her or something. LOL! :teeth: Oh, that was just too funny, I just wanted an unbiased opinion. :p

I can't wait for that wolf to come back! We need more pictures! :bounce:
