There are suddenly a bunch of 7DMT FP+ available for November

WOW!!! A LOT of slots opened up. I expected a few more, but this is crazy. Is it going FP+ only?

Saw the same thing! I was able to get them for a party of 5 on 11-10, 11-13, and 11-16.

As I said, this has happened several times before in the past few months- a specific reason for it never became apparent.

So, several times in the past few months, a host of mid-day FP+ reservations for 7DMT - for just about every time slot - suddenly just showed up inside of 30 days - not just a handful, here or there, that can be attributed to normal ebbs and flows - but for every day of the week - for 3 weeks - including a very busy one like Jersey week.

When exactly did this happen before?

Inquiring minds want to know.....

I was able to get FP+ for the mine train for 11/17 and 11/21 because of this thread. I have been trying for over a month. Thank you so much! We were also able to get all tier one FP+ at EPCOT and HS earlier this month for Nov. because of this board!

What I said was they've released new supplies of fp+'s before. I never said it was the clone of this one each time.
I'm not sure exactly how many fp's qualify as a "host" and I can't tell you for what period of time they opened up- don't recall. But it was 7dmt and A&E- at least once as I recall and 7dmt alone another time- it's happened a couple of times I believe, could be more. You'd have to do a search on the threads to find out exactly when it was if you're that interested. But yes, they have released additional fp's for rides before this latest one.

There are only a few things that could cause this. Some are very good: like for the folks who can now get them - that's what DIS is for and DIS came through again with flying colors.

But, some are (potentially) bad. Like standby plus with cards, or no standby at all, or (heaven forbid) it's a system glitch and they've doubled up FP+ capacity.

Those extra FP's came from somewhere. Meaning, somebody is going to go without. Finding out who will help a lot of folks who might show up expecting to ride but unable to ride at all

Maybe Disney realized people were wasting too much time standing in line and therefore not wandering through the gift shops enough....

You can't spend money if you're standing in an hour long line.

There's another thread currently running where someone said negative comments about fp were being fabricated and they've fairly well been torn up by the anti-fp'ers.

Guess its ok when your side doesn't just call a general nameless group a liar, but actually says it directly to one person.

Thanks for the tip, I was able to move our 6:40p SDMT FP+ to 10:05am instead which I hope means we may be able to get a 4th and 5th FP+ that day.

Personally, I don't see anything to lead me to believe they're doing this for anything other than crowd levels- unless you base the second guessing of this meaning they're going to all fp+ on the huge, baseless suggestion that they ever considered doing it.

IMO most of the paranoia that's on the dis is based on speculation and guessing. This is not the first time they released extra fp+'s and the sky didn't fall then either.

It's just the constant negative drumbeat get old after a while.

Then ignore the threads that show that negativity. No one has to constantly correct people, in fact I would think that that gets tiresome.

Anyway, this is all conjecture. ALL of it. None of us have a clue what Disney's true reasons are. And we may never.

I am not trying to sound negative and in fact them opening a bunch of spots was the only reason my daughters were able to see A and E, HOWEVER when it happened with us it turned out to be a test that made the FP wait an hour.

On the bright side they were given an extra FP for their troubles and they would have had to kill the time they waited anyway because it was right before BOG reservation.

The more I think about it, the more I share the concern this will be a FP only test. Things that make me feel this way:

The slots only opened till right before the busiest time of year, when it would be insane to conduct such a test.

It is clear this is the 2nd attraction they need to alleviate the crowd crush at, and they already did it for A&E.

The TSMM test was an unmitigated disaster, so they're probably eager to conduct this test with hopefully a better plan in place.

The TSMM test was only 3 days, not enough time to correct the mistakes during it, or collect a big enough sample size to gather the data that would help them determine how to make FP only viable (I don't think it is, but they seem to be a dog with a bone about it)

The thread here about it would be gold to the powers that be, while they monitor this forum from their evil lair.

I just wanted to thank the great folks on the DIS for sharing this info! I was able to get 7DMT for our first day at MK now instead of making another trip later in the week just to ride it! Now I have one for our MK day, and one for late afternoon on our MVMCP day. Thank you so much!

Buzz, you're right that something's up - and with a much larger footprint - 3 full weeks in Nov. (and mid-day slots available).

At least a lot of Dissers got the word and are able to grab them.

One thing though, I'll bet that evil lair is very well stocked - even better than yours...
