There’s A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow

We all have our issues with getting e-mails from Disney. I NEVER get them. But I just randomly got the one bolded below - incredibly unexpected, but much appreciated. For a company that seldom communicates or adapts its message all that much, I appreciate what they are doing during these trying times.

The parks have been closed for 24 days and will be for many more.

Someday we will all get back to our park/trip planning, as conditions and circumstances allow.

For now, I take comfort in the memories, our stories, and rare messages/images from the place that so many of us enjoy.

You've been with us on this journey for generations, through magical Parks and wondrous ships, on guided adventures, island dreams and more. We love sharing it all with you.

Though we can't be physically together today, we promise the power of magic is here to stay. You can feel it in the wonder of stories and the comfort of song. And in all the unforgettable memories we cherish.

you know, all of this puts in perspective how much we truly have to be thankful for. Like you, I'm so thankful for the Disney memories that I have with our daughter..... one of my favorites... when she was 4/12 we took her for the first time. She had her little light up sneakers, princess dresses, the whole nine yards. Our first day she walked into Magic Kingdom and saw the castle. She looked at me and said "It's really real !!!". OMG. Later that day the Main Street Parade ..... her favorite character in all the world was Jessie. So when Jessie came by, she took off in the parade and hugged Jessie (before I could realize what the heck was going on) . Jessie took her little hand and walked her back over to us, kneeled down and hugged her. Yup, here comes the tears. A cast member was standing next to us and she said to me "this is why I come to work every day, for moments like this". It is a memory I will never forget.

So thank you Disney for burning one of the most beautiful memories in my head for the rest of my life. There is truly magic there, every single day with countless families. ❤❤❤

Yes, that is true. Which is why, like you, I also greatly enjoyed receiving the email from Disney this morning.

I too am living with the memories, with daily help from DISboards. And hoping it will be safe to travel back to our snowbird home and WDW next winter.

I received that email as well. Made me smile and tear up at the same time. I read it to my kids. We are definitely looking forward to getting back to Disney when we can but completely understand that's likely not going to be any time soon. But in the meantime, I'm so thankful for the trips we've taken and the memories we've made.
