Okay, the selfie with Donald is priceless! That is one of my fave pics EVER! Made me actually (literally) laugh out loud. The only thing that comes close to it is the Behind the Scenes version - I am DYING!!!

Wow - your Backlot ride would have me looking forward to the replacement too!

Churros! DLR supposedly has the best churros ever. I don’t know because I can’t eat them, but Willow became addicted to them this month. I’m looking forward to getting her one at WDW and seeing if she notes a difference.

I think we had the same set of actors when we saw the Sing Along. The actor that played Kristoff seemed to be the only person they used for that role, since we saw that guy every time we saw Kristoff.

Like you, I am not tired of the Frozen stuff. It is something new and Disney really needs to keep adding new attractions. It makes the trip so much more fun to have new things to do.

Soooo I just binge read all your TRs yesterday and today, and now I'm all caught up. Hurray! I'm a bad commenter though, but I did really enjoy everything and I love your Disney touring style. I'm all for racing to TSMM first thing in the morning to ride it even when we have a FP for it later in the day - though Amber would be fine with riding it once and being done with it.

Also, I had so many jealousy issues through it for your pins. The cupcakes, the park tickets, THE LICENSE PLATES. I only have Expedition Everest and Space Mountain. Also, I can't find my 'We Open Oct. 1st' clock pin anymore

And yay for the bracelet score! I've been eyeing those, but I'm so bad at wearing jewelry, it takes a lot to remember to even put my wedding ring on in the morning (like, right now, I don't have it on. Oops). Also, I think Amber would be upset with me if I planned on starting a new collection when I still don't have all the Animators' dolls. The struggle is real. Disney has such an effect on a normal human brain. I mean, I live in a country that gets pretty rough winters, yet now whenever I go shopping for clothes, my first thought when seeing something is "Oooh I can wear this to Disney!"

I teach Preschool and my kids are currently napping as I read your TR--I woke one up when I laughed out loud at the finger cut off comment!!! So funny!!!

At that point I was pretty sick of French fries (I know, it seems impossible, but true). The pasta salad wasn't actually that good, but it was a nice change.

Eeee welcome Marie and thank you SO much for reading!! I know it's a lot to take in!! Kylie is not a big fan of the thrill rides in DHS so we always try to do TSMM a few times a trip for her.

License plate pins are my LIFE! My sister has a Big Thunder one that I want so badly but never have been able to find. That is so upsetting about the Oct. 1 pin, I hope it turns up soon!!!

I know, it gets so hard to restrain myself when it comes to Disney merch. I try to hold back and not blow all my money, but there are just so many cute things to buy and collect!

Chapter 39: A Reunion With Characterpalooza

Then, we headed over to the Streets of America to see if we could catch Characterpalooza. We hadn’t done it since it was in the Animation Building so it had been a long time!

Fortunately…Characterpalooza was ON!

I was able to meet the Green Army Man right away! I have met him every trip since Toy Story came out so I was glad I was able to catch him. He kissed my hand. What a gentleman.

Then, Kylie and Emily met Captain Hook. I love the pose they did.

I met Meeko! He also kissed my hand.

Meanwhile, Kylie and Emily met Pocahontas, who was lovely.

(Shout out to my mom for running back and forth getting all these pictures. I still don't know how she did it.)

Then we all met up to meet Genie and Jafar!!! I was so excited to see these two together.

Prepare yourselves for the cutest picture ever:

Jafar made us kiss his hand which was a little uncomfortable not gonna lie…Kylie dodged it by just bowing, I should’ve gone with that.

Genie was awesome. He gave Dad a fist bump.

Then, Kylie and Emily met the Green Army Man…

While I got in line for Pinocchio! Unfortunately, they couldn’t catch up with me in time, and that was the end of Characterpalooza.

We had collectively met all the characters out except Tigger, but since we met him at Crystal Palace that was fine. It was an awesome experience to get to meet so many characters at once!

Chapter 40: Amidst The Glitz And Glitter

After that, we had a FP+ reservation. Kylie and Dad were going to skip it and get a snack. It was for a ride I usually skip, but since it is the favorite of so many DISers (plus it was indoors and dark and cool), I decided to conquer my fear of…

THE TOWER OF TERROR.

I did this ride once a few years ago and I’ve never been more terrified on a theme park ride. I said you’d never get me on that ride again. Well, never say never, because there I was, buckling myself into an elevator.

Emily and I were freaking out the entire ride. She panicked when we started moving forward into the next dimension, I panicked when the drops started a LOT sooner than I remembered…then the person behind us screamed, “I LOST AN OLAF!!!” and that may have made the ride for me.

Photographic evidence I did it:

Verdict? I liked it better than last time! I’m not sure if I’ll ever love it but I’d do it again. Then again I used to HATE Splash Mountain because of the drop and now it’s my favorite so ya never know. YAY PERSONAL GROWTH.

Olaf loved it. Duh.

Meanwhile, Dad and Ky went to Writer’s Stop, I believe, and took some adorable pics together.

After that we had a FP+ for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, so Dad, Em, and I went while Mom and Ky waited for us.

We had a great single rider who did our pose with us!

Since Mom missed out on the Muppets the other day, we decided to do that. And I was happy we did, because I got to see the pre-show! I seriously like it better than the actual show. It is absolutely hysterical to me and I quote it frequently.

Probably my favorite Olaf picture that I took all week:

They included clips of Constantine from Muppets Most Wanted.

I also love when Sam Eagle says, “Will you stop this foolishness?” and Gonzo says, “What foolishness would you like to see?” Pretty much the motto of my life to be honest.

First of all, congrats to you on getting on TOT It's my favorite ride and, I think, the best ride in WDW (possibly the world............) I routinely make fun of my friends who go to HS and don't ride it. I won't stop doing that, either.

Second, how AWESOME is characterpalooza??!!! We missed it on so many trips and finally caught it twice last August. Both my DS's loved it but younger DS8 at the time was over the moon So many cool characters out, including the Evil Queen both times which totally thrilled me Pinocchio & Gepetto were there too and I hate that they aren't anywhere else in the parks now. They were 2 of the first characters we met on our first trip with the boys when they were 1 & 4. I have a picture of the boys with the 2 of them hanging on their walls, and DS1 is sitting on Gepetto's knee So it was nice to be able to see them again.

DH and I are heading down in 5 weeks for an anniversary trip without the boys, but I still plan on catching characterpalooza!

SO JEALOUS OF YOUR GETTING TO CHARACTERPALOOZA! Aladdin is one of my favorite Disney movies and it's my dream to meet Jafar and the Genie. You lucky duck!!!

Don't worry, your fear of ToT is completely rational. I went on it in 2010 (when I was 14) but somehow was too scared to go back on last year. Even though I had already conquered my fear.

Sam Eagle is pretty much the best Muppet in the gang, save Statler and Waldorf.

Those are all pretty fabtastic Characterpalooza meets. And definitely shout out to your mom for catching all those moments! I was actually wondering who was taking whose pictures while you were each off on your side, I didn't imagine it was all the work of one master photographer. Two thumbs up

Meeting Jafar and Genie at the same time is a pretty stellar experience! We've met Jafar by himself, and Genie with Jasmine, but that's definitely an interesting combination

I love Tower of Terror! It freaks me out for sure, but I love that feeling of your heart just jumping up in your chest while you drop, that's always been one of my favorite ride sensation. Though, admittedly I was a bit more scared for a while because you know, those buckles are just such easy access - what if you sit next to a jerk that decides to prank you and unbuckle it? Of course, it was silly of me to not realize Disney locks the buckles. They'd probably be bankrupt from lawsuits from stupid people who unbuckle themselves by now otherwise.

Yay for liking it better though! Personal growth is important. I had personal growth too with Dinosaur. Last time we rode it, I kept my eyes open halfway through rather than shutting them right as the first dinosaur pops up

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is so much fun but I'm always so paranoid about losing something. Like, okay yeah, gravity and all keeps it pushed in and so on, but still, it seems so unsecure to just put a bag between my legs, I'm always sure it'll somehow free itself. Probably smack me in the face, too. Or make me lose my glasses and then I would be blind for the rest of the trip.

Olaf looks fab in those glasses. I think pink is his color.

We haven't done Muppets 3D very often. We should probably work on that.

I want to do Characterpalooza so bad! Th least time I was there it didn't work out timing wise.
